I cannot believe I did that whole thing like a rookie where nobody could hear me whatsoever.

BubblemanAwesome. Not going to lie. That was pretty cool. Welcome to Stephen and Caleb and Colin. How are you guys doing today?

Collin PalmerAmazing, man. It's Northeaster coming down on us in the East Coast. So I'll say it now, if I lose power, it's due to that. Winds are about to get to 40 miles an hour. So I'm batting down the hatches on the greenhouses and hopefully they don't go airborne.

BubblemanHell yeah, dude. You're on it. Well, I got some straight heaven here that I'm about to hit. You can just see the absolute fucking quality of this.

Collin PalmerI left this out last night. I just got a little too zooted. And look at this. It just didn't change at all. It's just glass. This is rosin, but it's just like...

BubblemanI'm keeping mine in the freezer, my little freezer here, and just hoping that I can continue to preserve. I have about 10 different full melts in the stash right now. I'm going to puff each one of them today. Each one of them I'll pour a tiny little bit into my hand, and then it just greases. All I have to do is touch it with my finger, and it just turns into a...

BubblemanVery similar to what you had in that jar there, dude.

Collin PalmerIt turned into its own rosin. You know what I mean? It's like, yeah, awesome. It's just pressed itself into rosin. I left it out last night because I was digging dabs before bed and I just like, it's crazy how she, how just, it's just a puddle of oil. I love that.

BubblemanDude, I have to shout out Steven because I felt like I meant to last time and maybe I did, but dude, I love your anxiety doll that you have behind you there. That little, that's anxiety, right? Is that anxiety?

SpeakerOh, we can't hear you. Oh, there you are. Now we can hear you. It's like one of the best psychology movies for, I mean, it's for kids, but for adults to understand like, That you aren't your emotions, but you have them. This movie is great. So yes, this is the anxiety doll. What's the name of the movie?

BubblemanI don't know. It's like they're in the girl's head, right? Inside Out. Yeah, Inside Out. Oh man, that is a good one for sure. I went and saw that in the theater with my son. Yeah, I don't know if that one's a Pixar movie or what, but there's definitely a level of adult...

BubblemanIt's almost like Aleister Crowley, who was very well known for speaking to a room of people and people would get different things out of what he, you know, people would hear different things from what he said in the same room of people. And that movie is very much like that. It's designed for children, but there's like a whole adult sort of theme throughout it. And, uh, Yeah, that's awesome that you had anxiety there behind you last time.

BubblemanI was like, who's Rambo? I'm like, we got Rambo in the room. I hope it's First Blood, personally. I mean, how cool would that be? Sylvester, are you there?

Collin PalmerEvery time I think of Sylvester, I think of his Rocky movies. Every time. Adrian, running up the art museum.

BubblemanHow could you not, man? How could you not? That is absolutely classic.

SpeakerAnd really like, oh, it is Ramo. Hey, how's it going? That's what's up, dude. I was like, Rambo. I was like, I guess that could be Ramo.

BubblemanGood to see you, buddy. How you doing? I'm doing really good, man. I'm sorry I missed you the other day.

SpeakerYeah, yeah, I was driving all over the province.

BubblemanWell, I was trying to drive to you. I had my friend Winston, who was in from...

BubblemanNew Zealand, actually, who's got a big kind of company thing going on over there. I've been talking to these guys for about six months in regards to trying to get some things done for them. But I thought, wow, you'd be a great person to introduce them to just to check out your nutrients and meet you as a character. But when I punched it into maps, it was two hours and 30 minutes away, which you don't live that far from me.

SpeakerThat's crazy.

BubblemanYeah, it was. Yeah, the traffic. Exactly. It was the exact time, the worst time that I could possibly drive over there. And he had to be at the airport for five o'clock. And so that's why at like three thirty or something, I would have loved to have brought him over. He would have gotten a kick out of you for sure. And yeah. Yeah, exactly. I always love coming over as well.

BubblemanWe were talking a little bit about you today in the chat room because Bingo thought you had only been growing high THC and someone was like, no, no, he's got hemp growing too. Yeah, you do have hemp growing. That was hemp that I saw the other day when I was there. Correct. In the little drying rack.

SpeakerIt was actually we did a greenhouse of hemp and we did a field this year. We've had a three place now going on to year three. It's lots of fun. It's what we do to get our farm credit here, but it's not real profitable, but it's lots of fun.

BubblemanYeah, but your hemp looks like insane. Like it's not like, and I think it was Sandra who mentioned it while I was in there. I said, I was like, man, your hemp looks crazy. And she's like, yeah, because we dry it like real flour instead of like the way they dry hemp, which kind of makes it taste like hay.

SpeakerYeah, and we give it a lot of nutrient solution too, which makes them really perform. We get big green buds. Actually, this hemp crop kind of defied the logic to me because we planted everything in 7 and 10 gallon pails and we had plants that are like 8 and 10 feet tall out of that and they weren't falling over at them.

BubblemanDude, I'll tell you, I'll tell you, I'll be honest with you, that blew my fucking mind. And I know it blew Logan's mind too. It made no sense. They look just like your normal plants. Yeah. Except they were in these tiny little, I mean, they're not tiny, but compared to the 32 that you've been growing in for however long, they look pretty small.

SpeakerI agree. I usually grow in garbage cans or the biggest containers I can get. But we were doing quite a few plants this year. A couple thousand. I don't have a couple thousand garbage cans here yet. Last year we did it right in the ground. And actually that wasn't as good. The pots worked better. Really? Yeah. Less diseased, right? Mm-hmm. Well, the thing is, in the ground, they're kind of prey for slugs and bugs and everything.

SpeakerAnd it seemed when you put them in a pot, a container, slugs had a hard time getting to them.

Collin PalmerCool. So less pressure from just the natural environment you found?

SpeakerYeah. The only downside is that right in the middle of summer, they need to be watered twice a day. So it's very time consuming.

BubblemanWell, that's why you got a swan.

SpeakerYeah, swan is great. He actually grabbed the bull by the horn many days. He was out there watering plants. He got heat stroke out there a couple of times.

BubblemanIt's crazy. Shout out to Swan, dude. He's been with you for so long. He's been so helpful. I just kind of feel like how could you do it without Swan? So here's Ramos hemp field that just makes no sense whatsoever. He's got these tiny little buckets.

SpeakerThey just look so big and full and complete that it just doesn't like I don't get it, dude.

BubblemanI don't understand. Also, walking through the greenhouse with Ramo was probably one of my favorite things to do. He's just got a little, little, little greenhouse on the side there. And I walked through with him. And he was like, I'm like, I'm like, Hey, man, how many? How many plants you got in here, dude? Without even like a blink, he's just like, he's like, I have, I have no idea.

BubblemanHe says, I have absolutely no idea how many plants are in this greenhouse, but my God, were they fucking awesome looking, dude.

SpeakerWell, you want to hear something really crazy? You see how many plants were in the field, everything in the greenhouse and everything in the field was all in the greenhouse in the spring. And that's how much grew. I didn't expect it to get that big. So, yeah, that's kind of why they were in that size of pot. We figured, oh, we'll probably get plants, you know, like maybe three, four feet tall and we'll be good.

SpeakerAnd I didn't think we'd get 10, 12 footers out of that. That was crazy. It really was.

BubblemanI'm trying to open up. Go ahead, Colin.

Collin PalmerLike, you know, for the traditional, the guys that are doing traditional agriculture out there listening in, like, you obviously have a method to the madness here. Like, what's the EC that you're targeting and like, how are you You know, to get the plants that big, you know, you've got to, you got to be aggressively feeding it, but also somehow be balanced, right? So it's got to be some secrets in the sauce here, right?

SpeakerWell, here I'll reveal the big secret. We were just pounding those plants at a 3EC and they really responded. And that was it. We didn't use any crazy microbes, no other crazy feedings, just lots of plant food. And it, you know, it really worked. Actually, it's pretty much the exact same plant food we'd give to indoor plants. And here's the end result. It's just, it was nutty.

BubblemanIt's glitching out for me. Is it glitching out for you guys?

Collin PalmerYeah, it's like an effect almost. What the fuck?

BubblemanYeah, that's weird. I'm going to have to stop it. No, it's just going to listen. My computer lets me know every day when I'm not going to do something, and I'm not going to do that. It just told me, no, you're not doing that. But I'll figure out some pictures.

Collin PalmerBut those plants look so healthy, you know, and they look like they're enjoying the... The schedule, you know, it's cool. And so how many different varietals are you just growing like a sea of different things that you're just interested in? Like what's that?

SpeakerNo, actually, this crop was about finding out what works on our farm. So we had four different varieties.

Collin PalmerOkay.

SpeakerAnd what we found really works because we did two auto flower crops in the spring and we had already harvested those by the time Bubble Man arrived. And those are great because in 11 weeks, they're like fully butted out and cut them down and they're great. And they're like 10% CBD. They were with Herbal Dispatch, but they just sold out.

BubblemanThat's great. Oh, really? You had that at Herbal Dispatch?

SpeakerYeah.

BubblemanWe did.

SpeakerYeah, we had the joints. It was a good deal. You get three joints. I think they were like $4.95.

Collin PalmerThe people are responding to the idea that like, you know, they want, you know, more of a spread of cannabinoids, if you will. And they're looking for that experience. That's awesome. You know, that's, I've been more and more being approached by people asking like, hey, do you guys do any like, you know, hash that's just CBD with like other, you know, low amounts of THC? So that's, that's interesting.

BubblemanIt's like a theme, you know? The video was perfect, and I was watching it. I was like, oh, it's going to work. I put it on the screen, and it went to the robotic version.

SpeakerOh, no.

BubblemanRegardless, it's beyond impressive, dude. It's kind of ridiculous. I don't know. Yeah, I just don't know how you got plants to look like that in those tiny little pots. It's, uh, I've been trying to do it on my deck for some years and I've had some luck, but not, not like that. Steven, you've got your hand up. What, uh, what do you got to say there?

SpeakerI'm sorry, what was that?

BubblemanYeah, he glitched out there as well.

SpeakerYeah, I think he said, was he asking if we watered those plants twice a day? Definitely. If we didn't, they'd be wilting horribly. So when I see big, healthy plants like that, what I imagine, because if they're drinking twice a day, in my mind, they're eating twice a day. So for your plants to get that big in their veg cycle, that means every morning you were showing up and you were seeing robust new growth every morning, essentially.

SpeakerActually, some days it was like, you know, six, eight inches of growth in a day. It was crazy. But those things we're drinking, like the greenhouse, we drink about a thousand liters. We had a thousand liter tote for the greenhouse and a thousand liter tote for the field. And both places would consume both. So two thousand liters of nutrient solution a day, it's kind of expensive. But it was worth it because look at the end results, right?

BubblemanYeah, well, all your vegetables looked like that too. Your peppers and you had corn in tiny little pots that were like seven foot tall corn plants.

SpeakerOh, yeah. Bears got those.

BubblemanWhat? The bears got them?

SpeakerYeah, they ate the corn. I got seven years off of them and I figured, oh, I'll just leave it up. I made a video about it. And I was like, oh, I was really proud of this video because I've never grown corn before in my life. And it was beautiful corn. I figured I'd just leave it up, let it fatten up and ripe it up. The next day, all the plants were on the ground and every year of corn was gone.

SpeakerIt was heartbreaking. Terrible. We had freak show tomato plants. They got 10 feet tall, which, again, I didn't expect them to get quite that big. And they're very productive. Actually, we got a couple still alive right now that are picking tomatoes off. The peppers are the most mind-blowing thing. Remember all those peppers plants I showed you? That blew my mind as well. It was ridiculous. Well, they're still living here.

SpeakerI'm going to bring you to the pepper plants. I got these ones that are called Hot Portugal and they're almost a foot long and they turned red.

BubblemanThey were such small plants and they had giant peppers the size of softballs, like four of them on one like tiny pepper plant. I was just like, dude, what the fuck are you doing?

SpeakerThey were pumping out peppers all summer. Actually, the one that was the most productive is this one here. It's called Burning Bush. And you can probably see all the orange things. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah. Like literally, we probably got 100 off of this one. Look at these. Can you see that?

SpeakerThat is the biggest pepper I've ever seen. I don't know if that's coming in. That's a big red thing. There we go.

BubblemanNow you're pinned. Now we can talk without stealing the camera away. But yeah, that's that's pretty awesome. You're going to make some hot sauce.

SpeakerI haven't tried these ones yet. And then I got this thing here, this red cayenne. Nice. The other red ones on there. What was different about you guys' summer, this most recent summer, than normally? Oh, it was a really warm summer. Not too much rain. It was really good. And then... These environmental pressures aren't bad things. If you can adapt, the plants will also adapt with you.

SpeakerSo it's impressive seeing this.

BubblemanAnd you've obviously fed this all Ramo nutrients.

SpeakerAbsolutely. Rainbow Elements, the powder.

BubblemanOkay.

SpeakerActually, my biggest accomplishment this summer was I grew my own Greek salad. Everything except the olives. So I did the cucumbers, the onions, the peppers, the tomatoes. It was awesome. Salad achieved.

BubblemanIt does speak volumes for your nutrients. I will say that because...

BubblemanI don't even know how to say it. You're just, you know, there's a ton of nutrient companies. There's lots of different ways to grow weed. I know you've been growing weed for a long time. You kind of fall into a category very similar to Skunk Man Sam, because you're one of the people that like,

BubblemanHave always sort of had this super deep appreciation for cannabis personally for you. You know, and you could say that it's about medicine, but I'd also say that like when I think of you, I think of someone that loves to get high.

SpeakerYes.

BubblemanThat absolutely loves to, and Skunk Man Sam loved to get high unapologetically. In fact, he was one of the first people that would say it to me and I'd kind of, it was almost shocking. He'd be like, I just love to get high. I just want everyone to be able to get high. And I was like, I remember the first time I heard it, I heard it through whatever my mild brainwashing was, even with cannabis, as I went down this pathway of like, Oh, let's just hopefully get permission to be able to use it.

BubblemanWell, the first thing you do when you want to get permission to use cannabis is you put I want to get high on a shelf and you leave it there. But guys like you and guys like Skunk Man Sam, they didn't put that shit on the shelf. They wore it right here, right in the front of them. So I just want to say I appreciate you for that, Raymond.

SpeakerOh, well, thanks, man. Actually, on an off note here, I'm We did a rock video with Danko Jones, and it's called, Do You Want to Get High? And I'm actually in the video halfway through, but it's all my plants in the video and all my stuff. I don't know if you've seen it, but it's crazy.

BubblemanDanko?

SpeakerYeah, Danko Jones, Do You Want to Get High? That is awesome, dude.

BubblemanI'm not sure that I did see that. Wow, look at that. There it is. All right. I'll put the link up in the chat and I'll also put the link up in the description of this video for people to be able to check out later on. That's awesome.

SpeakerAlso, Danko Jones just dropped a new song this week. It's called Diamond in the Rough, I think. And they have a Kiss tribute band in the video. Kind of funny.

BubblemanInteresting. So have you met Caleb before, Ramo? He's on the panel right now. He's down in California.

SpeakerNot sure. I don't think so. I'm looking at the panel. Where's the panel?

BubblemanWell, I'm glad you guys are meeting right now. So Caleb, you should tell him a little bit. You should tell Ramo a little bit about what you guys did in regards to the project you were working on with sayings, cannabis sayings in songs. I don't want to get that wrong. Specific cannabis sayings.

Speakeryeah for sure so uh i guess two summers ago now i uh i've been tracking like cannabis mentions and songs as much as i can yeah i feel like since middle school and you know i've got this big old spreadsheet and i looked at uh cannabis mentioned specifically in Uh, like rap songs. And I looked at like different terms that correspond with cultivar names, right? So like, you know, you can find the first time that any slang term related to cannabis is used in a song, you know, whether that's dank, whether that's a chronic, you know, might even be a whole album name.

SpeakerUm, and, um, I decided to track one particular phrase and it was Caliweed. Because, you know, I noticed that Caliweed as a term, you know, it first appears in the 90s, but like in music and it just spreads from like one name drop in songs per year to like 40. And then the most interesting thing was that like eventually all the name drops of Caliweed start happening outside of Cali, obviously.

SpeakerAnd not just outside of Cali, but outside of America. And like nowadays, if you just take the random song that was dropped in 2025 that mentions Caliweed, chances are that it's from Europe and that it's from Germany. Yeah. So like there's there's a whole I think you know every single wave of legalization that we've seen in different countries like for sure you know music and the the cultures that are that are vibing to that music and then spread and listen to that message it's the reverse uh brainwashing you could say bubble man like you were saying before where Everybody, even if we are cannabis consumers, there's still a little bit of that, that dare bullshit floating around in the mind.

SpeakerAnd it takes people like Skunk Man Sam and people who are unapologetically, you know, enjoying the high to really break through that for the mainstream, I think. So thank you for doing that too. Hey Caleb, can I add a couple to your list that are Canadian artists? You probably don't have a lot of Canadian artists on there, right? You probably got a lot of Americans like Sublime, etc.

SpeakerOkay, one is, she's actually a woman from Winnipeg. Her name is Ruby Waters, and she has a song called Supernatural, and it got banned from YouTube because she smoked weed in the video and she appeared nude.

SpeakerBut it made it on the radio here. So it's actually super good. The other song is from a band that I've got high with many times and I've seen so many times in my life. They're called Monster Truck. And yeah, unfortunately broke up. But they have a song called Don't Tell Me How to Live. And one of the lines in there, they talk about smoking a little bit of weed.

SpeakerSo it's there you go. There's two more for the list. That's great because it's really those like subtle, super subtle mentions that are like the most, you know, get in your head, get in your earworm that have a little tidy anecdote. But recently we were at a legacy genetics community meeting and this person was like, oh, you know, the first strain that I know of, like name strain in California, obviously it's colitis, right?

SpeakerAnd so they're like, you've got to track down this colitis strain. And If anyone knows what they're referring to there, it's the colitas that are mentioned in the opening of Hotel California by Eagles. And colitas there is almost certainly referring to like little colas. And it's just referring to some high grade Mexi that, you know, they're smoking in the desert while driving through in what used to be Mexico.

SpeakerNice. That's crazy.

SpeakerDo you have a list of stoner rock bands going too? Yes. Like Fu Manchu and what else would be considered stoner rock? Monster Magnet, one of my favorite stoner rock bands.

BubblemanOr every reggae band ever. Well, there's that. Slightly Stupid, you know. Dude, Slightly Stupid. Here's a Slightly Stupid story for you. This was years ago. This was like, honestly... Like early on, like maybe, I don't know, like maybe 05 or 04. Fuck, I don't even know. Maybe it was before that. I know that I was on Overgrow as Bubble Man. I don't think I had shared many photos or videos of myself.

BubblemanIt was pretty early on. I don't remember really the accurate history of that. But I was backstage and it was Snoop Dogg and it was slightly stupid was opening for Snoop Dogg here in Vancouver. You and Sandra were probably at this concert. I don't remember where it was, but I was just sitting kind of on, like, I don't bug people backstage. I don't, like, it's just not my vibe.

BubblemanIf I can connect with some cool musician that I appreciate, then awesome. But it's like super rare that it happens like that. Mostly it's just awkward. I will say the one time it did happen was fucking at the vegan buffet backstage with the Beastie Boys smoking hash out of an apple pipe. That's a story for a different time. Anyway, it was epic. Anyway, because those guys don't let anyone backstage.

BubblemanSo their backstage area is fucking empty. It's just them. It's just them. That's it. Nobody else. Perfect. But at this particular one, this guy comes up to me and he's like, are you Bubble Man? And I'm like, what the, you know what? It had to be even later because it was, he said it was from, it wasn't from Overgrow. He knew me from IC Mag, which was Gypsy Nirvana's internationalcanagraphic.com.

BubblemanI don't know what year that came out. I can't remember what year Overgrow got busted. Was that 05, Colin?

Collin PalmerYou're muted.

Collin PalmerI think so. I remember everyone sending emails on Hushmail to like, yo, you got to watch out. It's all happening. We're all going to someone's going to come knocking on everyone's door kind of things. Yeah, just Richards, apparently. Right. Totally. I mean, it's insane. Well, Bog, I mean, moved from Montana. I'll never forget that moment. A few of us, I think, all had the scares pretty good.

Collin PalmerI know I personally did for sure. Well, this, this, this. Right, it's 2005, but I think. Yeah, so this would have been 06. Maybe like the year before it all went down, like Gypsy had started it. So maybe you'd put, here, let, you know what?

SpeakerI'm going to do a thing.

Collin PalmerI'm going to, I'm going to go and sign it. Go, go look. Go look. I made my account because I know it's like.

BubblemanIt was probably 06, 07. But anyway, the funny part was, was that this dude comes up to me and he's like, are you Bubble Man? And I guarantee it was the first time that anyone had asked me that. And I was just like, yeah, actually I am. And he was all like, holy shit, dude, this is crazy. You taught me how to make hash. Like it was one of the...

BubblemanA very early on trippy experience of someone recognizing me.

Collin PalmerAnyways, dude, can I take a picture? February 6, 2006, dude. That's when I joined. So I would imagine it started. Yeah.

BubblemanYeah. Yeah. So 06 sounds about right. Anyway, yeah, it was funny to have this guy come up to me and take my picture with him and be all fucking like, you know, kind of how everyone else backstage was to the bands, right? You know, and I got to have this funny experience and even my wife laughed about it. She's like, only you would have someone from the band asked to take your picture, which honestly probably has never happened since, but it was pretty funny in the moment.

Collin PalmerIs Overgrow still up? What's that? Is Overgrow back up? I'm like...

BubblemanI don't know. I haven't been on it. You never really... Did you... Did you come on those websites back in the day, Ramo? Like Overgrow?

Collin PalmerOvergrow is up, but it's not the same. It's totally different. Maybe someone just took the name and...

BubblemanYeah, I think it came back years ago, but never, never kind of, you know, it had its time. It was a time in history for cannabis to really expand. You know, it started with the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. That was like the first little fissure that started, you know, creating its own thing. But these websites in 98, 99, Cannabis World, Cannabis Culture, Overgrow.com. I mean, that's how...

BubblemanThat's how I got all my exposure. That's where I sold bags.

Collin Palmer100%. That's where I got all of my... I felt like that's where I found my community. Like I would race back home to get on the landline to dial up. I know. And just to like try to get on and read what, you know, OT1 wrote something or, you know, or you had a message to me and I was waiting for it because I asked some question or something, you know, like...

Collin PalmerYeah, it's, you know, where you're trading clones, you know, that's really, I think, where most of the clone, the really elite clones, as it's called today, like were traded was through that. That was kind of the new Silk Road, if you will, to get that around the world. You know, like when someone found something unique, it was like passed to the inner circle and You were kind of, you know, felt honored to kind of grow that.

Collin PalmerThat's how I think like Subcool gave me Jack's Cleaner and I ended up keeping it. And remember, you remember Scott when we were trying to do that project in Pennsylvania, he was growing that a lot and ended up giving it back to Sub when he lost it. You know, so it's like this cool, you know, and I learned, I remember learning how to mix soil through Subcool's, you know, soil mixes, right?

Collin PalmerWhich he learned from that guy, Dankmaster, which I think a lot of people forget that the reason also Subcool was so good is because his ability to do amendments, you know, and really know how to do it well.

SpeakerAbsolutely. Yeah.

Collin PalmerBut yeah, really interesting moment in time because I know and honestly, I was even before the I got a shout out the IRC channels that happened where that's where like Dank Master and a couple other individuals that were really started to overgrow based on that channel. You know, it's cool we had that, man, because that was like where, like Sam was even on there. I remember asking him, you know, about Calio and, you know, jingles, you know, with his handle.

Collin PalmerOn IMC? Yeah, IRC was a internet relay chat, right? That was like this private channel that if you could get to you and you get your own personal password, you could sign in. It was like other growers on at that time. This is like 96, 97.

Collin PalmerYou know, right before Laughing Moon. You remember Laughing Moon, which I think was Mark's? Wasn't that Mark Emery's?

BubblemanI don't think so. I think that one was maybe Quebec. Got it.

Collin PalmerI'm on, I just remember Laughing Moon for like a moment. I also remember the BCGA, which is also really was an instrumental forum where Vic High and even Mr. Soul would post stuff on there about breeding. I remember being obsessed with that, those two's exchanges on there, trying to decipher like You know, the, the males and females that they would choose to do their outcrosses and they would, they'd throw up like the Y graph, the graph of how they, they selected the, the offspring to, to then breed.

BubblemanThe history. Yeah. The history, brother.

Collin PalmerTotally. A lot of, a lot of cool stuff that, you know, I think we need to, you know, to keep the conversation going about, I mean, it's gotten so amazingly, um, I met everyone. Yeah.

Collin PalmerLike fully.

BubblemanAlthough not Remo. Remo, I didn't meet that way. Remo, I met through the Vancouver scene. And you probably had been growing for some years before that. Wouldn't you say, Remo? Because I think we go back, I would say, to the 90s.

SpeakerProbably late 90s, yeah. Yeah, late 90s, exactly. Yeah, I've been growing since the late 80s. So, yeah. I wasn't on the internet back then. Really? Yeah, well, you know, back then, you know, if you remember in Canada in the late 90s, and even in the early 2000s, when I finally got licensed, I really didn't do anything public. It was like, you go to jail and stuff. You can get in actual trouble.

SpeakerSo we're very private. And what actually brought me out is I got busted, which was crazy. That'll do it. Yeah, I was growing four lightsworth. I think we had like 31 or 32 plants going and a couple trays of clones and they came in and they busted me. So what I did is, and this was in the late 90s, is I hired John Conroy and I said that this was my medicine because my doctor said that, you know, I should use cannabis as medicine.

SpeakerBut Another weird story. So I go to him and say, hey, I got, you know, I had a problem here because I grew cannabis. Can you sign this thing so I can get medical marijuana? And he totally refused. Really? Yeah. But he was the one telling him to do it. So I was like, ah, you're a dick. But whatever. I eventually found a doctor. But that's what brought me out.

SpeakerAnd after that, I just didn't give a shit. I was like, OK, you don't get nothing to lose. Can I add a bit to this one? Because... I wrote a, they were just starting to have the section 56. And then, so I wrote, and I couldn't find a doctor, like at all, because I was essentially trying to figure this out. I wrote a letter to Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, who forwarded my letter to Health Minister Alan Rock, And he responded and basically said to doctor shop, which as a Canadian, we're actually taught to not do.

SpeakerAnd, you know, we're basically told that we're abusing the system if we essentially do that. Right. So I did it and we found a doctor and the doctor was the head of the UBC. Yeah. At UBC of the MS clinic over there. And at that time, you could only, it was, there was a category one and category two. And Ramo fell, and category three. Ramo fell under category two, but which meant he had to have a specialist sign.

SpeakerHe couldn't just be a GP. Category one was if you had cancer, you were terminal. Category two was, you know, limited like things like spinal cord injury, spinal cord disease.

BubblemanAnd what, can you just give a brief cliff notes on what led him to number two? Like he had an accident.

SpeakerHe had two, had had two accidents. Actually, one was essentially. I broke my back and my neck. Terrible. Don't recommend it. And the thing that saved him, it was actually severe ligament damage. It was inoperable. And that was why we were like, well, we were looking at the surgery, but every time the neurologist would look at it, the neurosurgeon would look at it, they would say the risk was too much, that it was too risky to do surgery.

SpeakerAnd it was, so there was no way to do it. Now, I think the technology may have changed, is my understanding. It's still a risk, but... Thank God smoking lots of weed. But look what happened to Ozzy Osbourne. He had that back surgery and he publicly said he would not recommend that to anybody. So I think it depends on the risk factors and that was why we went the direction that we did.

BubblemanYeah, I think it's a good idea. The trauma of, I mean, listen, I know people on both sides. I know people who have had back surgery and they're better off for it. I know people who have had back surgery and they are not better off for it. So It's all about, you know, where you want to put your faith.

SpeakerYeah, I've met mostly the latter. People had back surgery and yeah, they're not happy. It's a higher number. Yeah, unfortunately. So by the time we got to court, Ramo was actually licensed under Section 56. So which... I got an absolute discharge. Checkmate. Yeah, done. Absolute discharge. I walked. And you know, the really good thing about that is that we set a precedent in our legal system that many others that were in the same predicament, that were patients, that were unlicensed, that had a legal problem, they could use this to, you know, get out.

SpeakerSo it was a good thing.

BubblemanThat's incredible. What year was it that you got busted?

SpeakerOh shit, that was 90. No, no, Michael was born in 99. So it was 2000. Oh, it was 2000. I thought it was 99. Okay, 2000.

BubblemanOkay, so mine was 98. And I also hired John Conroy as my lawyer. Nice. So we weren't too far apart having our experiences that seem to lead us very much in the direction of our lives.

SpeakerYeah, absolutely. It did, actually. No, it totally paved the way. If that had never happened, I would have just never gone on any internet or done anything like that. I would have just been hiding, you know, growing my weed and doing my thing.

BubblemanDude, and the world would be worse off because of it, dude. You're a character, man. It's good that you are out and public. You're the most public person, dude. You're hilarious to go to a cannabis event, dude. You go to a cannabis event with Remo and you could just be like a block away outside in the city and you are getting stopped. You are getting stopped every...

BubblemanEvery 10 feet by the happiest people that are just so happy to see you in real life. They're like, such excitement, such awesomeness. And then, of course, it's like, hey, you guys want to get high? It's like, sure, let's smoke a joint. Now, these guys are all smoking a joint. I can only imagine how many people you have met like that. It's got to be thousands.

SpeakerYeah, but, you know, this week I went to two cannabis events up in the Okanagan in Kelowna. I went to the tether event. And we went to Strat Can. And both these were very corporate events and very dry. So when I go to these events, what I try to do, literally, I tried to smoke the most weed at Strat Can, which was awesome. So we had this session and Keyshawn sat down next to me and we just started rolling weed and more and more people started coming over because I find these events are very dry and boring now.

SpeakerSo by doing this, it kind of made it a lot more fun. It made it more bearable for me, that's for sure.

BubblemanI've sat next to you at these very events you're talking about outside on a picnic table and watched you roll joint after joint after joint. The funny part of your story was that we try to smoke the most cannabis.

SpeakerYeah, I definitely try.

BubblemanAre you trying? Because it seems to come very natural to you, right? I'm not sure how much effort you're putting into this.

SpeakerIt is lots of fun, right? And, you know, I know this is Hash Church and I'm smoking weed and this would be considered pre-run, but you know, this is how we get hash is through weed, right? You're smoking the pre-wash. Yeah. Yeah. Ramo is a really, a real hash consumer though. And I think that's a lot in part because of you.

BubblemanWell, all I know is I envy his appreciation and enjoyment of joints because I just can't get back there. I've tried. I just it's not working for me. And I used to love joints like at least as much as he currently does. Like that's how much I love joints. But it's been like 25 years since I smoked a joint.

SpeakerWell, you know, we can still cash joints or remember that product hash hits. Yeah, that was a brilliant idea, by the way.

BubblemanYeah, we've got them right here. I'll bring some by and we can smoke. In fact, I'll bring these by. Okay. We've got a two-parter because we've got these fucking giant temple balls that I made and I made quite a few of them.

SpeakerHoly smokes.

BubblemanYeah, they're all, they're all like, it's really soft too. Like, it's like really soft, like soft, like Play-Doh. I could form this into anything that, you know, within reason. Looks amazing. So yeah, we should, we should do a little, Little puffy puff of that. And I have like, oh, geez, like a few, a few different ones. I think I have five right now. And you can see like different colors, different sort of sheens to them, different flavors.

BubblemanThese temple balls are now about a month and a half old. And so, yeah, it would be nice to get your opinion on them. I got some smaller ones that are a little bit harder. That I made as well. Nice. With CBD. And I got a Cuban Lynx one that is an Easter egg. Yeah. Dr. David Allen, how are you doing, man?

SpeakerGood morning, Bobo man. Good morning to you. Nice to see you. How are you doing? I'm doing quite well, my friend. You know, for the audience, Ramo is a monster. Cannabis guy. And so he's my hero. And it should be your hero. You should know about this guy. And so I knew about him because I was kind of out of a job and I was trying to learn how to grow.

SpeakerAnd I started watching YouTube. And Rainbow, the urban gardener, right? Urban Grower back then, yeah. Urban Grower. Now we're Urban Rainbow. We've upgraded. And so I was studying this stuff that he was doing and he has more experience at going to different grows than any human on earth. And I was recording all of his shows because I thought to myself, wait a minute, YouTube We'll have to be blocking this sometime in the future.

SpeakerAnd I better preserve it now because it won't be here in the future. And so I recorded about, I don't know, 40, 50 shows that he did and had it on DVDs. And after I got busted, all of that disappeared too. So my library was destroyed by the police. Yeah. You're my hero. Thanks, Dr. Allen. And your wife, Sandra. Oh, cool. I'll let her know. You know what's crazy is I did 100 episodes as Urban Grower and none of that is on the internet anymore.

SpeakerIt's all gone. No way. It's such a shame. All been taken down. All the original growth series, gone. Which, you know, I have mixed feelings about that. But, you know, the one thing is that the new stuff is, well, it's better quality. The old stuff was all like 480p and stuff. So it's like, how good would it be now? You have to hide that information. Well, you know, it was the entry-level stuff.

SpeakerYou know, we showed important things, showed different grow rooms, but we showed how to set these grow rooms up and, you know, How to use them and in different growth scenarios, but just not here around the world. Like I shot stuff in Spain. We shot stuff in Holland. We were like an international show back then. And I think we still are because we we go everywhere. Yeah, definitely.

SpeakerYou are. Yeah. There were except the United States. It seems their borders aren't cool.

BubblemanWell, I haven't gone there in 28 years, but I'm trying. I'm trying to get down there. I'm not going to lie. I've got things to do and people to see and it would be fun. But yeah, Jamaica too, Remo. Jamaica.

SpeakerActually, that was some of the most epic video I've ever shot in my life is when we met the doctor together and we planned, but we scaled that cliff. We're going up that cliff and we are sweating bullets and we're having a hard time. And, uh, He hasn't got one drop of perspiration on him whatsoever. Like he's like no problem and we're dying.

BubblemanDude, he was also climbing in shoes that had no shoelaces and the tongues of the shoes were flipped out outside of the shoe. I will never forget that. And that wasn't just a cliff. It was like made of coral. It was like coral that has come out of the ocean. Just a coral wall that we were climbing. Sharp and like not... Thank you for watching.

BubblemanYeah, the doctor, also known as Geronimo. And I'll never forget being like, why they call him Geronimo. And then my Jamaican friend was like, you know, he's like, well, you'll see, you'll see. And we were sitting in Negril waiting for him. And he drove by going so fast, dude. Like, I swear to God, like 100K or something. Like on the small Negril street, like zoom. And then that's, they were like, Geronimo.

BubblemanThat's why they called him Geronimo. Because he was ripping, but we knew him. He picked the doctor to be on for videos. He didn't want to be Geronimo. He's like, no, no, no, we got to pick a new name. So like the name that we knew him as was really just a freshly new name. What a good human being I will say about that character.

SpeakerBut you know what the cool thing is? I remember we climbed all the way up there and we're, you know, filming his plants and talking about plants and we went to that little hut. And then he was telling us about, because I asked him, you know, have you ever been busted? And he goes, yeah, they came and took all the plants. And he told us that he just came back and planted in the exact same spot again.

BubblemanI know.

SpeakerAnd just kept growing. And I was like, that's cool as fuck.

BubblemanYeah, it's pretty crazy.

SpeakerYeah. Why give up a good spot, right?

BubblemanWell, and more importantly, which I will say is that he grew exceptional cannabis. Like the cannabis he grew made some of the nicest hash that I made in Jamaica, period. Like it was, it was exceptional. It was, you know, to me, that's the most important thing. That's what kind of always blew me away about you, dude, is that I don't give a fuck about big plants or small plants or like all I care about is exceptional resin.

BubblemanAnd of course, when I first probably got brought into one of your indoor, you know, your little mini 10 lighter or whatever, but it had like the biggest plants you've ever seen. That impressed me, but what impressed me more was when you invited me over to make hash and we made like melty killer full melt bubble. So I was like, okay, so not only is he growing these huge monster plants, not only are they completely coated in resin, because when you do macro photography and your crops were some of the best macro photographs I ever took.

BubblemanI mean, the one that got on the cover of Frank 151, that hip hop magazine, the 420 edition, both the cover and the back cover was your rock star with that anthocyanin growing up the stocks and just like perfect leaf with like everything just... In focus, which was very difficult when you were not, I never stacked photos. I always took single macro photos. So all my macro photos, they're just one photo.

BubblemanI have to manipulate this in very thin depth of field to be able to get- That is not the picture there, but it's definitely part of that photo shoot. This one was like a long leaf, like a perfect long leaf that was just stacked with trichome.

SpeakerOh, that's the one over here. Pardon me. I got it on my wall. Yeah, I bet you do, actually.

BubblemanIs that the one?

BubblemanSorry, I have to pin it. No, that's not it either.

SpeakerI know that's one of yours though.

BubblemanThis is a full, actually, actually, no, I don't think I do have it, which is crazy because it's one of the best macro shots. I can't believe it's not behind me right now.

SpeakerThis looks like the bud. That's the only two on this wall. Oh, those are the third one here, but it's got a hair going through it. I don't know. That's hard to reach. I'm up there with Ted Smith. I don't know if you see that.

BubblemanYeah, that's not it either.

SpeakerNo. No. Okay.

BubblemanWe'll have it for next week. I'll find it.

SpeakerThere we go. I thought I had it. Sorry.

BubblemanThat's okay.

SpeakerGo ahead. Would you guys like to hear another joke?

BubblemanIf it's clean, we do. Yeah, since Sandy's not here, so go hard, man.

SpeakerIt's about Mick Jagger. And you know Mick Jagger was really sexually promiscuous, right? Well, there's a story about he had sex with a frog and he had a whole bunch of little frogs. And one day, one of his offspring was hopping down the road in downtown and passed by a bank and walked into the bank, hopped over to the teller and said, excuse me, excuse me. And they looked around, she couldn't see anybody.

SpeakerAnd he said, Excuse me. And the little lady looked over the edge and there's this frog down there. He says, yeah, can we help you? And he says, I'd like to take out a loan. And so she said, all right, well, you'll have to see the loan officer, Patty Black, her office is right over there. So the frog hopped over to Patty Black's office and jumped up on the chair next to her desk.

SpeakerAnd he says, excuse me. And Patty Black looked at him and said, what can I do for you? He says, I'd like to take out a loan. And he said, she says, well, do you have any references? And the frog says, oh, my dad's Mick Jagger. She said, well, do you have any collateral? And so the frog reached in this little frog pocket and pull out a little wooden elephant and set the wooden elephant on Patty Black's desk.

SpeakerAnd she says, oh, this is very strange. I don't know what to do. I'm going to have to talk to the bank manager. Excuse me for just a second. So she takes the little wooden elephant over to the bank manager. And she says, you won't believe this. This frog came in and he says, He's Mick Jagger's son, and I asked him if he had any collateral, and he pulled out this little wooden elephant, and she said it on the bank manager's desk.

SpeakerShe says, I don't know what to do with it. What do you think? And the bank manager said, it's a knick-knack, Paddy Black, give the frog a loan. His old dad's a rolling stone.

BubblemanNice. I was like, where is this going? Where is this going? Even in the chat, people were like, where could this possibly be going? And right before you said it, someone said, Nick Nack, Patty Black, just as you were about to start the punchline. All right. Okay. That was better than the Parsley one. Although I'll be honest, the Parsley one was really funny. Very terrible, but very funny.

BubblemanThat's awesome. So you're all cleared up over there, Ramo? Your crops, all your outdoors done and hanging and drying?

SpeakerYeah, that's all done. Now we're just cleaning up. You beat the rain? Somewhat. Most of it. Some of it didn't. I learned one cultivar that we had going was called CBF4, which would be just absolute giant plants. Didn't quite finish up, so we just... We had to burn it. So we had a giant fire. We just cut it down and put it in a pile and dried out a bit and lit that on fire and we smoked out the hood.

BubblemanJesus, that is what's up. Smoked out the hood, just throwing monsters on the fire.

SpeakerOh yeah, it was great. Actually, it's weird. The stock, it's like it was soaked in gasoline. I've never seen anything burn so hot and so fast. Really? Yeah. A lot of fiber there, I guess.

BubblemanYeah, or some type of oil or sap or something, because that's generally the plants that burn the fastest have a lot of sap in them. Christmas trees and such, you throw those on the fire when they're dry. Holy Christ. Plus the pine needles, those things have the fuel in them as well.

SpeakerYeah, yeah. Sorry.

SpeakerEucalyptus tree is the same thing. Oh, yeah. Very flammable. It's like it has an accelerant. Absolutely.

BubblemanWell, it's good. You know, it's almost like this creator was thinking about it. It's like, well, let's put some sort of flammable substance inside this sort of hardwood substance so when they're burning it, it's easier.

SpeakerAnd it smells good.

BubblemanAbsolutely. We have limitations on when we can have fires here, but we started having fires just about two weeks ago again. And man, I love having fires. I love having fires. I spent the last six months cleaning every branch and dead tree off my property and bucking it and cutting it and getting it all dried and prepared. And now I have a garage full of firewood and two fireplaces that will consume all of it in the next four months.

BubblemanThank you for joining us.

SpeakerOh, yeah. Yeah, actually, if you leave land untouched for a couple of years, you get trees, blackberries, all kinds of stuff. Oh, my God.

BubblemanAnd if you do it for 10 to 15 years, those trees can be 40 plus feet tall.

SpeakerYeah, we got a bunch of those.

BubblemanYeah, you have a really beautiful property, man. That's pretty awesome that you can have all that there.

SpeakerOh, thanks. Yeah. Well, you know, we live in the sticks, literally. I think it's more fun out here than the city. We get like a lot of wildlife and stuff. We get like bears and deer and, you know, we get rabbits and raccoons. We get everything. It's fun. Yeah, we're all four-wheeling. We get lots of four-wheeling. I do that in the yard, which is convenient. And we're right next to a mountain, so we can go up the mountain.

SpeakerNext time you come up, we should go for a tear.

BubblemanWe will.

SpeakerOh, Dr. Allen came out with us once, ATV.

BubblemanYeah, I came out. I brought my dirt bike to Maple Ridge once and we rode.

SpeakerYeah, riding's good. I still ride. I just don't do anything crazy now because I'm kind of getting older now, right?

BubblemanYeah, well, I broke my collarbone at my son's birthday party last year at the Whistler Skate Park. So I feel you, man. Although I have not been dirt biking for the first last three to four years, I'm definitely pulling my dirt bike out this year, getting it tuned up and getting into the bush.

SpeakerNice. That's a great idea.

Collin PalmerIt fills my soul. What type of year do you do that? Like fall or spring or both? All year round. All year round even in winter?

BubblemanI can, yeah. I mean, you can't go too high because there's snow on the mountains, but there's definitely areas that you can ride all year round. Absolutely. Actually, the Sunshine Coast is pretty good for riding in the winter months. It's low riding.

Collin PalmerCool. Yeah, I bet that's beautiful there. Because you guys have like kind of a rainforest-esque, you know, right? Like the forest there kind of a little bit wetter, right? Or no?

BubblemanIt's definitely a temperate rainforest. It's so beautiful, man. Check this sunset out from a few days ago off my deck.

Collin PalmerI just remember being there and I remember it being like that. It was like just... It's deep forest, but it's super wet. It's awesome.

BubblemanYeah. And thanks to mining and logging, there are massive amounts of trails cut through the forest. So if you do appreciate the back country, it's hard not to be thankful for those two industries because they're the ones that give you the access generally.

Collin Palmer100%. Yeah, out east we don't, you know, certain times a year it feels like it, but it's not consistent enough for it to have that kind of environment.

BubblemanWell, we're living in the land of milk and honey over here where Remo can grow giant monster plants in what, how many gallons were those pots? Did you say seven?

SpeakerSeven and ten gallon pots. Yeah, it defied logic. Actually, it defied physics as well.

BubblemanI know they looked so crazy, dude, how big they were with this little, I was like, what do you have those like rocks in those things to keep them from tipping?

SpeakerOnly in a couple. Most of them just, they just, I don't know what the hell. I didn't even put stakes in.

BubblemanEven when Swan, when we were standing on the roof, looking down and Swan was mowing the lawn and he was moving one of those plants and it looked crazy. It looked so thick while he was moving this plant and it's kind of going, it's on the video that I have up on my channel of day one with Logan sifting in Chilliwack and then going and stopping over and visiting Ramo and smoking that hash hole you rolled with the gaping hole.

SpeakerOh, the hash hole. Yeah, those are good.

BubblemanYeah, you kind of blew my mind. I don't smoke joints, but I've watched a lot of hash holes get rolled and I've always seen people roll a snake. You did not roll a snake.

SpeakerNo, I roll... A small cylinder. And actually, it's Keyshawn who showed me this from Pistol in Paris. He professionally rolls joints. He rolls like up to 150 joints in a day. And what he does is one and a half grams of flour, and he puts a half gram bullet at the front and makes it, you know, maybe a centimeter and a half long. It's fat, right? Yeah, it's fat.

SpeakerAnd what we found... What he found and what I've found by doing this myself is that it kind of like, you know, it's not hydrochloric acid, but it's like it kind of that hash ends up boring a hole through the middle of the joint and it lasts for like almost three quarters of the joint. You get this hash hole and it just keeps going with it and it's just bizarre.

BubblemanWell, you're pulling it through so perfectly. I mean, think about it. The cherry is so close and there's only a nub of it. So as you're pulling, you're pulling the melted rosin through the joint and saturating it so that when the cherry gets lower, it bores it all out. I was impressed. I'll be honest. I've told quite a few people since that they should look at trying to roll their hash holes a little differently because that one you did was exceptional.

SpeakerOh, thank you. I found out we were doing it all wrong. I think our intent at the beginning, I used to do the same thing. I'd make this long snake and put it around the joint. But what we found is that the heat from the smoke passing through the joint melts the rosin at the end and plugs it.

BubblemanYeah, because it drips too, exactly. It's not the same. It's more efficient to have a shorter bullet and have the cherry and you pulling on it and pulling that rosin through and behind seems to be much more efficient. And it doesn't go to the edges and touch the paper or plug it.

SpeakerYou know what the thing is? The hash hole, I think, is kind of like the future, right? Nice.

BubblemanWoody Wilson just said Kesha has a joint rolling class today in East Van. So shout out to Kesha and his joint rolling class today in East Van. I don't know where it is, but if we find out, I'll mention it. Okay.

SpeakerIs that Keyshawn you mean that is having this joint rolling class?

BubblemanWell, that's what Woody Wilson just said. Okay. In the chat room, I would assume that, yeah, he's talking about him.

SpeakerCrazy, because you know what? That guy's probably the best roller in this province.

BubblemanReally? That's big words coming from you. He's going to want to get a short of you saying that. Can you just, can we take two? Remo shouting out Cache for his hash hole joints. Three, two, one, beep.

SpeakerYou know what? Seriously, he's come over many times and he does roll the best joints. Absolutely. And he can do with gloves on, which blows my mind because he has to do it in a legal environment. So he's mastered the art of rolling these awesome joints perfectly with his gloves on. But not only that, he can do volume. You can do 150 a day. That's insane. That's more joints than I can roll.

BubblemanThat's almost as many joints as you smoke in a day. When's he moving in?

SpeakerOh, no, actually, it's many more joints. I only smoke maybe 20 or 30 joints a day, not 150, but it seems like 150. It probably generates as much smoke as 150, but... 20 to 30 joints.

BubblemanWhat are those, like two to three gram joints?

SpeakerI would say, I don't know, at least a couple grams on average.

BubblemanYeah, they look pretty chuggy. I mean, they're fatties.

SpeakerYeah, I want to taste the cannabis. Action set up.

BubblemanYou ever do bong rips of your cannabis? I always I remember when Slinger was like they were just these dudes in the late 90s. They're just putting buds right into a bowl and smoking it. I couldn't wrap my head around it, but he kind of I was also leaving joints behind at that time. Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanLike often, because burning weed through a bong, that is the epitome. When we started vaporizing and doing dabs, that took away all that was bad about bong water. Bong water is dependent on burning weed or like black hash through a bong with water. Whatever that shit is, you could like Oh, my God, the taste of that stuff. Like, I'll never forget my buddy knocking over a beaker bong full of like the yellowest, nastiest shit.

BubblemanOh, no. Onto my buddy's bed.

SpeakerOh, and that's all it's going to smell like. It doesn't matter what you do.

BubblemanHe had to get rid of it.

SpeakerYeah, it just stinks. You know, one of the grossest things I've ever seen is at the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. This is when they only had one cup a year and it was there. And there's a bong smoking competition. I filmed it and I was up at the front and all these people are trying to smoke. And I think the fifth guy, he did this giant bong coke and then drank the bong water.

SpeakerI couldn't believe it. Not drinkable, in my opinion. How do you do that? Who did that? He won, because he took a big toke and then drank it. Like, who does that, right?

BubblemanOh, my God, dude. That's so disgusting.

SpeakerIt's insane. People have done that. Yeah. Maybe before now, I'm sure. But, you know, I got to say that the water that's in the rigs now, especially if you're doing dabs, it actually smells pleasant.

BubblemanDude, it is pleasant. If you drank it, it tastes like cannabis tea, unless you're heating it up too hot. But if it's a 400, 500 degree dab Fahrenheit, dude, that's just like pleasant. So anyway, I never finished the second hash thing we do. So we've got this for the first hash, right? We'll do these. We've got a bunch of different hashes that we can do. We can smoke them through the ceramic tip, ceramic mouthpiece hash hits.

BubblemanBut then I also have, like, I want to say 10 to 12 full melt varieties. So here I have Please Wash Me, which is incredible. Nitro Fumes, Masterpiece, MK Ultra, Sunday Driver, and Planet Bang Bang, just on the top. I have more on the bottom.

SpeakerBang, bang. I recognize that one.

BubblemanPapaya. That could be poo cheese. That's another papaya. And then we have a Yeezy OG. So I got at least seven different ones that we can do a little video and puff, you know, like kind of maybe photograph each one macro to show the purity, show how fast it greases, then puff a big rip each. Be, you know, six or seven of these will be a challenge, man.

BubblemanWe will be lit after that.

SpeakerSounds good to me. Let's do it. I know it does. It needs to be done.

BubblemanYou were signed up before I thought of it.

SpeakerOkay, perfect.

BubblemanWe will do it. I'll come by. We'll hammer it out.

SpeakerOkay. See, that'd be epic content, right?

BubblemanYeah, yeah, yeah, you will get some epic content, that's for sure. We will both get epically highs, most importantly. And shout out to John Hatch from HatchHash.com. Who is an absolute incredible hash maker. The guy's really going beyond and above in regards to paying careful and close attention, not cutting any corners, making life much harder on himself in order to put out material like that. That material is six star flawless.

BubblemanIt is absolutely incredible quality hash. It'll be a joy to go over there and smoke some with you, Ramo, because I promise... This hash just doesn't, we don't see it every day. I mean, I do thanks to John, but there was a time where I did not see this. And I kind of was hoping with bubble hash that we'd get to a point where, you know, to me, full melt dry sift or full melt bubble is the word of God that the resin you grow on your flower is Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanWhich is to me, well, thank you. I mean, you're the one that fucking grew it. I just hashed it out and was happy with the results. I make hash with a lot of different people's material and it's not always full mount. It doesn't mean the flower is not still beautiful, but to me it means the plant didn't express itself to the level that it was capable of.

BubblemanYou know, and so that's kind of, the bags are always like the word of God for that. If you just want to take even a little bit of your trim after your grow and run it through that, you know, and then if you want to kind of find out what level your product is for full melt, you know, there's always the Fletch way where he would, You know, weigh the banger, put some hash in, weigh that, hit it, dab it, and then weigh it again.

BubblemanAnd whatever the leftover was, the difference between the dab and the Chaz sort of told him what star rating it was. But you could also just press a little bit in a rosin press. And if you took like 10 grams of your hash, That you made and then press that, you know, if you're getting 95 plus percent return, you know, that's a six star. You know, if you're getting 90% return, it might be a five-star.

BubblemanYou know, if you're getting 80% return, it might be a little below a five-star, four points something. But, you know, a lot of people, they take their hash, they make nice rosin out of it, but they're still only getting like 60% to 65% return, or maybe 70%, which means there's a 30%. That of room for improvement, how that resin could have expressed itself to a higher level.

BubblemanAnd you could have got that 80 or 90 plus percent, which to me, if you've got a 95% return hash to rosin, there's probably not too many reasons to press it into rosin.

SpeakerCrazy.

BubblemanUnless you're just crazy like that.

SpeakerNo, you know what? I honestly, I think rosin kind of is the top right now. That is like the most demanded extract on the face of the earth.

BubblemanOf course. But I don't know if it's the top because I think the majority of people who are making it are using hash that doesn't really melt into a liquid. And so taking that and pressing it into rosin, even if they get a 75% return, they're not worried about losing 25% because now they've elevated the product to quite an exceptional level. But if we deconstruct it and we say, hey, this rosin's super nice.

BubblemanCan I see the hash that you pressed to make it? Nine out of 10 of them will say, oh, I don't have it. It's like, well, why not? I know why. Because the hash is not a flex. They only want to show you the flex. What I really want to see is in a perfect world, and I'd love to create this as a product, even though Canada probably won't let me, maybe America will.

BubblemanI would like to have a flight that takes you through the journey of the plant. You get to see the bud, you get to see the hash, and you get to see the rosin. And the hash could be complex. It could be dry sift. Thank you for joining us today.

BubblemanI'm going to see how that goes. After that, I'm going to start smoking through these hashes. And then I'm going to get to the rosins, which to me, the rosins should be pressed from those very hashes, even though in a business, those would be the best hashes that would go into the flight. And then the lesser hash would be pressed into rosin that would go into the rosin.

BubblemanAnd it's always the economics of legal cannabis. Yes, that was terrible. 100%.

BubblemanYeah, hurts my soul, but it is what it is.

Collin PalmerWe're doing some of that in New York. It's just we can't do it in a, you know, I think we could do it in a box, I guess, but we would have to do it. The problem is how would you group it as a product in testing and how would the OCM see it? But yeah, I think you're like, you're so right about that is most people don't experience the journey that the actual flower goes through in transformation form.

Collin PalmerAnd that linear process is really, you know, I think it's important for people to understand that stuff, to your point, you know.

BubblemanStephen has his hand up too now. Go ahead, Stephen.

SpeakerHey, can you hear me okay?

BubblemanWe can.

SpeakerYeah. Yeah, I think a product like that would be something that would be more experiential. So like flights only became popular at bars once craft beer became popular. You wouldn't get a flight of like Corona, Modelo, you see what I'm saying? So like people had to have an appreciation for unique beer before even big companies would start doing A flight at like a local brewery. I say all that to say at a lounge, some type of consumption lounge, that would be an amazing opportunity for pretty much anybody to experience, like you said, raw flour, you know, in pretty much every stage.

SpeakerBecause one of the things we taught at the dispensary was if you have people that are coming in and they're buying more and more and more flour, How do you then teach them about, hey, we have this hash. Why don't you try this hash instead of just continuing to buy more flour and actually compare the different experiences? That flight would be a great marker of like what type of experience you have by consuming different types of the same flour.

SpeakerPeople jump from flour to flour, just consume the same flour in different ways. And even that experience is different.

BubblemanI think it would be an eye opener. I mean, listen, at a dab bar or a lounge, it would even be a much more affordable thing. It would be easier because all you'd have to really do is have, okay, here's a small, like a thin joint. Doesn't need to be a three gram fucking infused thing. Just a joint, you know, maybe make it a specialized joint so that you are able to taste, you Like Remo said, I like to taste it.

BubblemanYou want them to be able to taste the flour. Maybe it's a bong rip. Maybe it's a joint. And then maybe it's a small bowl of hash. After that, maybe it's a small dab. You'd want to make those very small for people who have lower tolerances. And then, of course, allow deli style to make it as big as the customer wants if he's looking to get uncomfortably high like myself or maybe Remo.

SpeakerThat was fun. Absolutely.

BubblemanYeah, it's an interesting one anyway. It can play out.

SpeakerSo what do you think of the strike here with the BCGEU and all the central cannabis distribution being closed?

BubblemanIt does upset me. I'm not actively involved in the cannabis industry. Industry currently aside from doing some R&D and trying to prepare to be involved again. But I feel very bad for all of my friends and colleagues that are like working. So you just can't imagine how hard it is. To create success in cannabis legally in Canada. And so many people have been pushing through and staying consistent, working their asses off and like, you know, just getting by that this is just like a Crusher.

BubblemanLike this is just one more thing that's going to bankrupt people. That's going to send people packing under the industry. It's really, you know, and then yes, people can say, oh, don't you have direct delivery? It's like, yes, BC in particular, this province does have direct delivery as do some others. But guess what? The province of BC still takes 15%.

BubblemanJust for direct delivery and they don't do anything. They're not involved. So they take their, they take the same 15%. Oh, go ahead, Raymond. You probably have a more accurate.

SpeakerOh, no, you're right about this. But the thing is, is right now during the strike, if stores didn't sign up for direct delivery, there's no way for them to get approved. So basically they're, they're screwed. So if they don't have any cannabis in their vault, they're out of cannabis. And I remember the last time, remember the last time they had a strike? I think it was three weeks long.

SpeakerAnd at the end of three weeks, stores had to close their doors and lay off staff because they literally had no cannabis. And then this is the crazy thing is that this strike is supposed to last till beyond Christmas, which is crazy. I hope it doesn't. But the thing is, is any of those farmers that have any of their cannabis in central right now, because I know that we have 100 cases in with the legacy legends, it's like in jail.

SpeakerAnd then at the end of this period, it's going to be all aged out and they're just going to send it back and you make nothing. So it hurts the farmers and it hurts the people in between. It hurts the people in private stores. Here's the plus side. Anybody that has direct delivery figured out, those guys are rocking because the 49 cannabis stores owned by the province are now closed because they have picket lines in front of them.

SpeakerSo it's less competition. And I think it's kind of weird that the province issues licenses for cannabis stores and then directly competes with them with better stores that are funded by the government. So they choose better locations. They can better staff them. They cherry pick the inventory so they have better weed there. They have way more product.

BubblemanThey have way more product because they can just carry everything. And you missed the sickest part. They are funded by the taxes that the other legal stores are paying. So it's not only that they're competing and destroying these other stores, they're using the other stores to fund it.

SpeakerUnfair competition. It shouldn't be allowed. I don't know how it happens. So you're saying they're not paying taxes?

BubblemanNo, I'm saying that they are the government. The government is charging all the other stores taxes. And with that money, they build their own stores in better locations with bigger staffs, with more stock. And then they just crush business-wise. So all those stores right now are currently closed in BC, as are all the liquor stores. And I saw some dudes say that they were hoping to keep it going till the shelves were empty in every store.

BubblemanWhich is not what you want to hear as a business person. This is crushing to people. Like this is especially right before Christmas in this sort of already fairly dead time. My daughter works at a dispensary in Horseshoe Bay and she's like, yeah, there's very little. And even with the direct delivery in Canada, there are problems in the sense that it's always, even though it's federal here, we still can have problems with, well, how much How much money can you send for direct delivery?

BubblemanHow much are you allowed to send out of your account? So they get limited and they could easily be ordering 60 to $70,000 with a cannabis, but maybe the limit is like 20,000 or 15,000. So there's still obstacles even for the pathways that exist. So not everyone that has DDs direct delivery is crushing it right now, but I hope some of them are. I do suspect that the black market, the gray market will bubble up again because, you know, like people are still growing crops and all of a sudden the value of those crops are going to kind of, You know, possibly climb in a very, very, the market can change in a very short period of time.

BubblemanIt could be like less than a couple of weeks after store shelves are empty and people could, you know, start increasing the prices of their cannabis because cannabis in the gray market, Remo, what, what is it like $400 a pound or something? It,

SpeakerFor law and product, I think the higher end stuff is still getting $1,000, $1,200, which is a fraction of what it used to be worth, which is just absolute craziness in my eyes. But you know, the thing is, is until the legal market becomes just as good a deal or better deal than the black market and never be eliminated. As long as there is, you know, 50 cents or a dollar for somebody to make it, somebody will be doing it.

SpeakerThat's the reality. It still happens, man. For sure. But, you know, the reality is, is that, you know, until direct delivery, the black market, or let's call it the traditional market, because I don't think black market is a good name for it. Traditional market, because this is how people used to get their weed. It was through a friendship network. And And I think the Friendship Network still has better, fresher cannabis than the government stores.

SpeakerBecause a lot of it goes to the central distribution. It ages out a bit there. Then it gets shipped to stores. And who knows how long it sits on the shelf before somebody buys it. Where usually the guy that sells cannabis, they're growing it themselves. And it's fairly fresh. They just harvested. And they want to get rid of it now so they can pay their workers and pay their bills, right?

SpeakerIt's a completely different thing.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah.

BubblemanPlus there's a, you know, somewhat of a cold supply chain. They can preserve their cannabis in a way that somehow the supply chain in Canada never really figured out, particularly in the summer months. It gets hot in those warehouses.

SpeakerYeah. Yeah. But you know what, um, I think the whole legalization thing, we made a few mistakes. One of the things we could probably do to rectify this is actually try to draw in a lot of these, because we have awesome growers in the traditional market, is to offer easy licenses for them to get or allow them to have tax stamps. So that they can just pay taxes and sell to whoever as long as it tests.

SpeakerBut, you know, this is something we said even before we had legalization that this would be logical, but that sure hasn't happened.

Collin PalmerSome states in the United States, we have that, but you have to, it's called a micro business in a lot of states. And some of them work, some of them don't, you know, they usually cap you with a, Your canopy, which is usually like thirty five hundred square feet or something ridiculous, you know, like not enough to really be a business, you know, almost. So it's it's hard, you know, it's like they really just when you think it's a good idea, it's like, oh, wait, the.

Collin PalmerIt doesn't make sense, you know, so it's just going to keep fighting, I think, to be able to have the right structure.

SpeakerYeah, well, it was like that with our micro program here. At the beginning, they allowed you 200 square meters, which is about 2,200 square feet. And that's not big enough to even bring on a partner or anything. And now you're allowed 800 square meters, which is now worth it. So, you know, little by little.

BubblemanExactly, yeah, that's what I mean. Stephen has his hand up.

SpeakerYeah, I think this conversation is super interesting to me because... When I ran three dispensaries in Illinois, those MSOs that like the West Coast and Canada and everybody had warned us about, they were in Illinois before recreational legalization even happened. They had been buying medical dispensaries. So the moment that the public found out, hey, weed was legal, the only weed they could get was from these big companies.

SpeakerBut they essentially crashed the price of weed so much that people went back to, it was novel when they got it from their guy. You know what I'm saying? It was novel when you got it from somebody who you knew. And they essentially like pushed this multi-state model so fast That they drove people right back to exactly what you're talking about that traditional. Traditional model, and 1 of the things we talk about here in the US is if people stopped going for mass produced cannabis and went for regional specificity, just like honey.

SpeakerThere's honey from different regions that can all compete. The oranges in Florida and California are the same type of oranges, but they have different. Production chains that they go through. One is sold as a raw orange. One is sold as juice. And I think if we look at this kind of like local model here in the US, I'm hoping that that big MSO model failed so quickly and ruined cannabis really as far as an industry.

SpeakerI hope we're going back to that like craft, almost farmer market model. That's my hope. Mine too. Actually, you know, we've discovered by this whole operation is that it can be done, but cannabis is very difficult to scale up. And you need, you know, one of the weak points is the team. It's very expensive to have a team big enough to properly do it. So it's, and dedicated and dedication because, you know, you can have a good team, but if they're not dedicated, it doesn't mean anything.

Collin PalmerYeah, it's true. It's true. 100% man. It is true.

BubblemanAnd also, you know, which we brought up many, many, many, many times, there are, you know, with cannabis legalization, decriminalization, medical rec, The group has expanded to include a lot of new people and they don't necessarily see the community the same way we might want to see the community. So very much like alcohol sales, beer sales, you know, Old Milwaukee and Pilsner and Coors Light, they sell by the pallet and the truckload.

BubblemanThere's other companies that are making IPAs and people like appreciating the aromatic volatiles that come in these different beers and they're geeking out on it and they're going down the rabbit hole differently. Well, you always know that that's a very small group, that group in the IPA group versus the group that is the consumption of alcohol. So I suspect cannabis will be similar, that the masses... We'll purchase cannabis that does not look like the cannabis that we wished it looked like.

BubblemanAnd then I think there will be an ever-growing portion, which there is an ever-growing portion of people, especially because I know from day one when I started Bubble Bags, before Bubble Bags, you met the odd hash maker, you met the odd oil maker. But when Bubble Bags and Indra released that BHO method, those two things spread like wildfire. And the amount of people that started making hash and experiencing the knowledge of getting the resin off of the plant, which basically taught you, oh, it's the resin that's active.

BubblemanThat's the stuff that's got the medicine in it in the first place.

Collin PalmerYeah man I mean it was you know at the time I considered it in the early days I considered it the the zeitgeist of where we were at you know I really did it was like this idea of trying to get get to purity um you know and it's still that way in some respect you know so it's really cool it's it's just it and it's expanded in ways that's You know, really, it's changed, but not changed at all, right?

Collin PalmerSince the eight-bag kit. I mean, if you all think about this, when Marcus, when you launched that, that was completely visionary in terms of filtration. I mean, no one had ever done that before. You know, it was like three bags or, you know, sure, people knocked off the six-bag kit, but... You know, it's really where we're at.

BubblemanIt was a journey. It was a journey, you know, because what it was, was there were two bags in the isolator kit. I added that 25 and then we started catching product. And then for years, you know, the two camps were like, oh, he's using the bag. He's catching the immature and broken heads. And that was kind of the narrative until at one Cannabis Cup dinner, Breeders Steve had a joint that he had rolled with 25 micron and tobacco.

BubblemanBut the way he rolls it is lots of 25 micron, very little tobacco. He was sitting next to Mila who had a joint of some hash with tobacco, but hers would have been like 80% tobacco, 20% hash. And they switched joints. And apparently this joint got her super high. And when she asked what it was, he said, it's the 25 micron. So it was an interesting full circle to the story because she had been saying that those were just immature heads.

BubblemanWell, we know now that although 25 certainly isn't the most connoisseur quality to roll it into a joint, it's generally around 70% THCA, 25 micron. And if you know how to collect it easy enough, There's a place for that hash to be. It makes sense. It made sense to add that bag. And then slowly we just kind of went backwards. We were like, well, 200 all the way down to like 73 is just too great of a jump.

BubblemanAnd so that's where the 190 and the 160 and the 120 You know, I think the last and then the 45 and then the last bag was the 90 micron that got added. So, you know, Mark and I just kept testing screens. He would send me different screens. I would make hash with them, you know, and we would just kind of that's where we we set each time we'd find a bag that made sense, you know, because it wasn't always just we'll try this bag.

BubblemanYeah, it's fine. It works. Let's add it. We tried some that that we didn't necessarily want to add.

Collin PalmerThe one thing you shut out is like, and my cousin hates this, is the 25 micron. And I always ask everyone to keep it in there because if you are making food grade material, there's heads there if you have the varietal for it.

BubblemanWell, listen, it's absolutely insane to think you should have to argue with your hash maker when it's just like, look, I'll show you the SOPs on how to empty this bag quick and easy so it doesn't hurt your back. And B, this is product. Like over the course of a month, if this is a factory that's making hash, you could end up throwing four kilos of that stuff away, which is absolutely insane.

BubblemanThe rosin that you make from that and then make... You know, make edibles like it is valid. It's way better than distillate. It's I think there's a product for every grade of hash that you make. It's just a matter of most companies try to get the hash. They try to shoehorn it into where they want it. They're like, oh, this is this is going to be our full melt.

BubblemanIt's like, but it doesn't melt. Well, it sizzles. It's like, right. But that's not full melt. Like you're going to take a beating on Reddit if you release this. Companies still do it. They still do it, dude. They're like, we're doing it.

Collin PalmerThe other one that I see, and this is all, this is, I'm going to fire a shot over the bow here. It's like, dude, you're not going to get away with saying this is first wash 90U at scale. Unless you have a mountain, I mean like 4,000 pounds to rip through and your batches are so big. It's,

Collin PalmerOr you have a small batch and they're numbered, then I'll believe it. Because you're going to get like 100 grams out of that. That's like your, you know, maybe 300 grams max, depending on your wash size. And to not grade that out, You know, I think, you know, I think everyone should do that and then make choices, you know, like you're saying, Marcus, like, because there is a product within every micron size, but every micron, but like, you're not going to get first wash first.

Collin PalmerIt's just, It's people need to tell the truth. Like you're going to go through wash through one through three. You're going to aggregate that 90 you and that's your first wash of that. Right. You can consider that your first wash, you know, but it's I think it's important to be honest as a hash maker as to what your washes are, what your runs are. And there's no shame in any of it because.

Collin PalmerI appreciate you, uh,

BubblemanBringing it up. It's the truth. No, it's hard sometimes, especially for companies selling equipment. They're just like, oh, you can do 190 kilos. You could do like seven washes a day. It's like, well, yeah, you could do seven washes a day, but how much would you be leaving behind? I know that after Remo grows the herb for months and months and months, he doesn't like to leave 50% of the resin behind.

SpeakerThat'd be counterproductive, right?

BubblemanThat would be very counterproductive. Are you making a little bit of hash with your product these days? So you've got, or do you just, you have hash coming at you from all angles?

SpeakerA bit of both. Not making much hash right now. Still have some hash I made from before. Excellent. Preserves well, right?

BubblemanYeah, it really does. It ages well. That's what I'm doing with these temple balls, man. I just want to, I just want to age them. Every time I pull them out, they're just like, oh, so delicious. Nice. This skin has not been cracked in a month and a half, and I'm going to probably cure it for a year. It's so soft though. Um, Completely soft, no oil added, which a lot of the companies just aren't able to get the hash to be soft and consistently soft without adding oil, but you don't really want to add the oil.

BubblemanOh my God. It's like, you can see how easy it is to push my finger into that. Yeah, dude, you're going to like this one. I'm going to put this one in your hand and let you roll it around for a while. Nice.

SpeakerMaybe in the future, we'll have bowling for hash. We'll have bowling balls of hash.

BubblemanWell, you know what? I would say let's take it to the next level. Let's not only have bowling balls of hash. Let's make the pins out of hash as well.

SpeakerNice. Yeah.

BubblemanWhy not, right? I mean, I'm, I'm game for it in a big way. In about 10 minutes, we're going to do a press club giveaway. I don't know exactly what it's going to be, and I haven't even talked to them, but they're such cool, amazing folks. I know they'll be down with this. I don't know if they're going to send you some of their, they've got this cool pre-cut parchment paper, the press club premium resin paper.

BubblemanThese are eight by 16. There's a hundred sheets in there. Or they have all sorts of really good little bags, two by fours. They have three by sixes as well, filter bags. So, and then they have that really cool rosin spoon. They've got great magnets, the press club magnets. These things are super strong. I don't know what they're going to send you. It'll be something. It might be their big wash spoon.

BubblemanIt might be some bags. It might be, they got these nice little dabbers. I quite like these little units, particularly because they don't roll. Because they have edges on them. So when you put them down, they don't like roll off the table. Not that it could anyway, because it has a pretty big fat pan on it. Rolling wouldn't be possible. But in about 10 minutes, I will announce a winner.

BubblemanI have Nightbot open and everyone that's typing in the chat is entered to be able to win the giveaway. So we will do that in about 10 minutes. In the meantime, what is that, your third joint you're smoking now, Remo?

SpeakerI haven't been counting, but I'm getting good and medicated.

BubblemanYeah, you are. I feel like I got to keep up and maybe hit a fat dab, although I can smell the pancakes. My wife's making pancakes. Yeah, I smell them. I might want to crush a pancake or two before I have this next dab. Hopefully, I'll get to crush these pancakes before I have to do this giveaway. But as always, when I do do this giveaway, you got to send me an email right away, bcbubbleman at icloud.com.

BubblemanIf you win, we'll announce it in the chat. We'll put the email in. You send me the email. I tell you something to say in the chat room. Thank you so much for watching.

BubblemanBecause they are almost ready. Aloha, Hawaii Sustainable just popped into the house.

SpeakerImagine this, Hawaii is three hours earlier than the West Coast.

BubblemanSo it's 11 a.m. right now. That's like 8 a.m. 8 a.m. in the morning. It is crazy. That's why when we had Rick DeLisi come on, when he shows up at like 9 a.m., that's 6 a.m. in the morning.

SpeakerWell, he's Florida, right?

BubblemanNo, well, his dad's in Florida, Rick's in Hawaii or Maui or one of these. I don't know which one, but he was in Amsterdam for the longest time. I think he sold that spot and now he's in Hawaii. But his dad is in Florida, which is wild because they spent so many years apart when his dad was in prison. I know it must be difficult for him to be like, I know he probably wants his dad to come to Hawaii and hang out.

SpeakerAnd I'm sure his dad's probably like, no, no, no, come to Florida. And he's probably like, no, fuck Florida, dude.

BubblemanLike come to Hawaii.

SpeakerYeah, Hawaii.

BubblemanYeah, I think I'd end up in Hawaii. I think I got to go with Rick Jr. on this one. Hawaii is the one I'd hit.

SpeakerYeah, no doubt. No doubt. Absolutely.

BubblemanSo yeah, not overly happy about the strike happening here and how it's affecting small companies, medium companies, large companies, you know, all these different people who work at dispensaries, like Remo says, once the shelves are empty, you know, those, those companies will be forced to, you know, either lay those people off or not give them shifts for a while. And if it goes till Christmas, that'll bankrupt companies.

SpeakerBut there's another level to this as well. At the same time, we have a postal strike. And Canada Post probably ships the majority of cannabis in Canada, I would say, because it's the most cost effective. So there's a whole bunch of cannabis, I'm sure, caught up in that system.

BubblemanThat's right. I totally forgot about that, which is also in its own right, absolutely bonkers and insane and really like... Canada Post strike alone is detrimental. To have Canada Post and the BCLDB as well as the liquor all go on strike is definitely not helping anyone for sure. It makes me feel, you know, I'm glad I have my stash. I'll tell you that much. Pancakes have arrived.

SpeakerI feel sorry for any of these producers that rely on Canada Post because in order for them to still deliver, I guess they could use like a pure later, but it's quite a bit more expensive. So it's, you know, not cost effective.

Collin PalmerSo the orders are allowed to do their own delivery, but they don't, they can't use the service. Is the mail on strike? Is that what's going on?

SpeakerYeah. Exactly.

Collin PalmerSo most people order online. Is that kind of what's common?

SpeakerWell, it depends where they are. Yeah, you know, I think they order online. A lot of these stores now have delivery vehicles and they'll deliver directly to the consumer. But I guess I also like for medical marijuana, they rely a lot on the postal system to deliver that cannabis. So that's not happening.

Collin PalmerThat's too bad.

Collin PalmerYeah. Yeah, we don't, in the States, we don't even have the luxury of that. That just happens.

SpeakerYeah. So, you know what the thing is about these strikes is that I do believe that people should be paid fairly, you know, a living wage at least. But, you know, the thing is, maybe the post office is, you know, it's kind of outdated a bit. Maybe we don't need mail delivery every day. Maybe we only need it once or twice a week. And that would help cut costs so that they can afford to do this.

SpeakerBut then again, it is a crown corporation. It's government owned. They got the money. Just pay them already and just get on with life, right?

BubblemanRight. Don't they lose like $10 million a day?

SpeakerI'm not sure what the stat is, but if that's the stat, yeah, they could have already afforded to pay these guys that were raised like last week, right? Totally. All of us here in the U.S. is getting privatized. Really? Yeah, we're two steps away from Amazon and... Those type of companies pretty much like putting our postal service. During COVID, our postal service got exposed It was the first time, like, I remember when I was a kid where it took you a month plus to get packages.

SpeakerAnd during COVID, it went back to that where it could have taken you two months to get a package. And all the private companies are like, oh, we didn't have any trouble during COVID. We just scaled. So now the big companies are pushing back against the U.S. Postal. And they're like, just give us all the deliveries. So it's not a fun conversation, but the truth is, like, Got to keep your ear to the pulse because those companies like Amazon, you know, they claim they're interested in cannabis delivery.

SpeakerWell, they'll probably be good at it.

BubblemanDude, those companies are frightening. I've ordered things off of them and gotten it in like under 24 hours. I'm just like, where the, what were you storing it next door to my house? Like what the hell? I think the quickest one I got was like 14 hours or something. And I just thought that's pretty scary.

SpeakerAmazing. Good service.

BubblemanI mean, it is, but it's also like the very thing that everyone eventually complains about. That service puts everyone else out of business. That service makes it like impossible to support You know, any other business. And it just becomes, well, it was like when I was doing photography, there's a company in New York called BH photo. When these guys have buying power, they buy a hundred million dollars worth of camera gear, or I could go support my local camera guy here in Vancouver.

BubblemanOn Granville and pay like 40% more. And I just be like, dude, you're making it hard for me to like buy cameras off you. And he's like, you're making, you think I'm making it hard. It's like, dude, I can't compete with these guys. And I'm like, I'm like, bro, I can't just pay 40% more because I, I want to support you and keep you in business. You know, like I can order this from New York and even with the cost of the tax that I paid, bringing it over the border.

BubblemanSo it's like, how do you...

BubblemanYou know, this is the problem. We talk about it in cannabis all the time where we're like, oh, we want to support the small guys. But the bottom line is once the big guys, if they ever can replicate the quality, which they won't even have to because most of the people don't want what we want for quality. Once they create the convenience enough and make it available and quick enough.

BubblemanThat's, you know, that's how they'll own like 80% of the market. And I bet you everyone on this panel has ordered something from Amazon in the last couple of months.

SpeakerYeah. Actually, unfortunately, Amazon is the death of, uh, grow stores because people just order fans and lights and nutrients and whatever they want now from Amazon for cheaper than they can buy at the grow store and have delivered to their house. So it's, uh, Kind of crazy, but you know, the one thing I like about a grow store is that the people that work there are very experienced and they can help you with problems.

SpeakerWhere Amazon, well, they're not going to be great at giving you any tech support on the product or on your garden.

SpeakerYeah, I agree. I think it's too easy to buy stuff and just put it together versus actually having somebody who says, Hey, these are the considerations that you should take. I always tell people before you put lights, electricity, and water inside of the tent, kind of know what you're doing so you don't start a fire. Absolutely. When it comes to lighting, one thing you do want to kind of watch is these Amazon lights.

SpeakerYou can get super cheap. We've all seen them. And the problem here in Canada, for insurance reasons, because we're allowed to grow cannabis inside, if they're not... You will rated or a CSA approved. And you have a problem with that light and it burns down your house. You're not insured. Exactly. So, you know, the onus is on you. Like usually you have to have maybe a certified electrician install that light and get that certification for you.

SpeakerSo really, are you getting a discount on this light where you can potentially lose your whole house and everything you have because you saved a couple hundred dollars on a light?

BubblemanYeah, a discount, really. It's a vector in disguise as a discount, a vector to completely flip your life upside down. I always appreciated the grow stores myself. I always, you know, that was one of the first places I went where I met my OG mentor, Ron Hickey. I met him at his grow store called Nature's Nutrition. And yeah, it was an incredible, you know, just walking in there and kind of, you know, potentially thinking I was going to talk about tomatoes with him and him just saying, Hey, listen, I know what we're talking about.

BubblemanAnd it ain't tomatoes. And just bringing me in and being so open. I was like, this guy is absolutely nuts. Little did I know that he had just gotten out of doing six years in prison for cannabis and that he was going to kind of, you know, do this hydroponic story had like 2000 watt light bulbs. In the front window, like blasting out to his, to the front street, people were just like, holy shit, like, what is this all about?

BubblemanThis was like late 80s, early 90s. And Yeah, Ron, Ron brought me in, taught me so much stuff, gave me so much information that I would be sad for young growers if they didn't have access to go meet that crazy guy at the grow store who's just going to like open your world in regards to how you frame, how you look at and frame growing cannabis.

Collin PalmerWell, big shout out to them even in general now. I mean, I was in one the other day and they had a whole living soil section with ferments and it just was cool to see the diversity of how it's evolved and the products that are available for people. You know, it's awesome. So I think that's a really cool story, Marcus. I know you've talked about him a lot.

Collin PalmerHe seems like a really amazing human.

BubblemanYeah, he's a character to say the least. We'll have to get him on Hash Church one of these days.

Collin PalmerYeah, we should.

SpeakerYeah.

BubblemanI want to get some of the old schoolers on. I want to get my uncle, Gio, who was really one of the first people in my kind of family to acknowledge that he also smoked weed. It was revelatory for me when my uncle Gio did that. And I was young and at one point I was maybe 16 or 17. And he gave me a flower, a couple of buds.

BubblemanThis is some MK Ultra from Hatch. You can just see the absolute cleanliness of the diamonds sparkling on this hash. It's just a tiny little bit in the palm of my hand. Give it a quick little doot-doot.

BubblemanAnd make a... Make that. We'll full melt snake.

BubblemanThen we shall dab. So I don't know what everyone's puffing on, but I'm about to hit some 90 micron MAU. There it is right there. Oh, we lost Remo. He's dropped off. That was good having him. Maybe he'll pop back later. I was kind of last minute. I talked to him last week. I said, come on in if you have some time to share with us. He's always such a character.

BubblemanHe really does grow incredible cannabis. It's fucking wild. This hash, by the way, is so nice.

Collin PalmerYeah, it is.

BubblemanThis is fucking crazy nice, dude. I wish I could show it on the camera better than I am.

Collin PalmerI can...

BubblemanHe's good. He's very shiny.

Collin PalmerIt's potential.

BubblemanSo making your mouth water over there, Steven?

SpeakerYeah. Did you see me in a trans just looking at it? Yeah. I remember when I first started seeing products and there was like, Shatter, Butter, Batter, Wax, all these different terms. So I always look at the texture of whatever you share. That's one of the biggest things I like. And I was just watching you pull that one. It was delectable.

BubblemanYeah, I wish I could get the texture on this one because it really is like incredible, but just doesn't want to. Usually if you put your hand up and you cover everything, maybe it's just too see-through. Too much like the color of my hand. If I pull it back enough, it just becomes my hand. Anyway, I'm about to hit this big old flag. Probably just destroy me.

BubblemanThat is what it is. Maybe you guys should hit a dab as well.

BubblemanI wonder where Dr. Mark is today.

Collin PalmerMight be on the water. No, it can't be on the water. It's like too crazy. It's got to be raining.

BubblemanIt's not good today?

Collin PalmerI talked to Kevin McKernan. He's in New Hampshire giving a talk at a college.

BubblemanOh, really?

Collin PalmerLike to come on next week.

BubblemanYeah, we should book him in advance. Yeah. Marcus, we're doing another sports episode?

BubblemanIt sounds like it. Yeah, we've been talking about it a little bit with James. The idea is to, yeah, put, put a good panel together and they've got some athletes that they have in mind. And I know that you also would be a part of that show and probably have access to some athletes.

SpeakerYeah. Oh, we're actually going to be, have you heard of the conigma? No. So the conicma is an online educational resource that I've been writing for for a couple years with Dr. Cody Peterson. He's a well-known pharmacist on social media, but we're going to be doing a regular monthly segment where we have one expert And we kind of talk about specific stuff the same way we did before.

SpeakerOlympians, pro athletes. There's a big Rolodex of them, so we want to give all of them a chance to tell their story. So yeah, we're going to be doing monthly calls with athletes and a scientist, doctor, et cetera, trainer.

BubblemanThat's awesome.

SpeakerI love that. Yeah. So I will definitely let you know as soon as it kicks off.

BubblemanYeah, please do. Come check that out for sure. Do whatever I can to help Give you some exposure and share it with our audience. That was delicious, by the way. Holy Moses. I downed that whole flag. I miss dabbing flags, Colin. I'm not going to lie.

Collin PalmerYou know, I do it often these days now. I'm really enjoying just like hash in its own state.

BubblemanI should give this giveaway, this Press Club giveaway. I should get this done because I did say 11 and now it's 1109. So clearly I'm a flake and I don't ever do anything I say I'm going to do. I'm just joking. We're going to do it nine minutes later. I got 93 entries. So well, first, what we'll do is we will make it. What do you call it?

BubblemanTransparent, right? Transparent. Not picking any favorites. I'm going to push this choose a winner button. And then all of you guys are going to see there's the press club in the room. This is a press club giveaway. I don't know if it's going to be some parchment paper. I don't know if they're going to send you a letter saying, hey, thanks for your support. Maybe they'll send you one of these dabbers.

BubblemanMaybe it'll be a spoon. Maybe it'll be some bags. I have no idea. I just know that everything they have is Is bomb and you'll be stoked. Whatever it is. I can promise you that. So here we go. Three, two, one. Choose a winner. The winner is Alex Techman.

SpeakerNo shit.

Collin PalmerGood for him, man. Good for him. That's Alex.

BubblemanAlex Techman. Boom. Boom. So hit me up an email, Alex. Wow. There's a lot of the chats going crazy right now. I don't know if I'm just catching up. Okay. So Alex Beckman for the win. Send me an email at bcbubbleband.com.

SpeakerI love, I love the community of like stoners because one person wins and we're all like, Yeah, like we want to see Alex now. Where's Alex? Come on down to the Price is Right and get your prize.

BubblemanI totally hear the Price is Right music. The whole chat is like screaming.

SpeakerI can see everybody just jumping up and down in the chat.

BubblemanTotally, dude. They're all like, congratulations.

SpeakerYeah, buddy. Tech man.

BubblemanAlex, Alex. This is the chat room right now.

SpeakerThey're fucking awesome. Beautiful.

BubblemanThat's great. Well, hopefully he's going to be in the chat and he's going to say, hey, I won. What's up? But we'll see if he's still here. He has not said anything yet. But I feel like he sent me emails. I don't think this is going to be a hard one to find the real Alex Techman. But he's in here regularly. Exactly, Camden. Well, we've got him.

BubblemanYeah, we love you hooking up the Community Press Club. Honestly, you guys are awesome. Fucking thank you guys so much. It's been such a joy working with you guys this last year. And yes, Bob Gnarly, get your dog spayed or neutered. Dogs are like, what?

SpeakerWhat did I ever do to you? Huh?

BubblemanHuh? Don't worry, we're just talking about cutting your nuts off. You just, never mind you over there. Just... Don't pay attention to what we're talking about.

SpeakerThis is adult conversation.

BubblemanThere he is, Alex Techman. All right, Alex, send me an email ASAP at bcbubbleman at icloud.com. Maybe Bingo will throw it in the chat and we'll get that off to you. Yes, I'm feeling like Oprah. You get a car and you get a car. Just giving cars away today. And I'll tell you, I just constantly want to play with these balls of hash. Like I am telling you, man, these balls of hash are awesome.

BubblemanAnd this isn't bubble. This is like sift, sift hash. I didn't wash this at all. This is not water hash, so. Always good to have. Yes, we found Alex. Alex is going to hit me up on the low, low. Hit me up on my email and I'll just send, I'll add Jeffrey there, the press club to the email.

BubblemanOh yeah, right on, dude. Saying goodbye to the kids on the phone. Look at this. He's a good dude. That's the Hash Church community doing their thing. Appreciate you guys. I should, I'll do an, uh, I'll do a giveaway next weekend. We'll give away, I don't know, like a set of one gallon bubble bags or something. And maybe some of these six star printing stickers because man, this guy from six star makes the good good.

BubblemanThey are like bumpy and really just super high quality. Once again, my camera. Oh, there it is. Now it's grabbing. You can see the quality of the sticker is kind of ridiculous. And it's bumpy and feels substantial. So I'll put some of those in and I'll put one of the, uh, the bubble man, uh, holographic stickers in. We'll do that next week. But this week it is the press club.

BubblemanI don't know if you're going to get some cool magnets. I don't know if you're going to get a parchment sheet with some, some screens. I really don't know. Maybe they will talk to you, Alex, and say, Hey, do you have a press? No. Does it, do you make water hash? Do you, uh, You know, what would make the most sense? So yeah, big shout out to the Press Club for lacing up Alex with a little kickdown.

BubblemanIt's pretty nice. It's pretty nice. Yeah, OG Brick, you got yours. You got the spoon and the stickers. Very cool. Very cool. In the meantime, man, I'm excited to watch your sports show, Steven. That's a really good idea doing that, you know, like weekly or monthly or whatever with, especially if you've got a nice long Rolodex, that would be, that would offer consistency where you could just be like, yeah, we just have like 40 people.

BubblemanI'm just going to like hammer these out one by one by one by one. I like, I like that a lot. I think it would be popular.

SpeakerYeah, it's pretty interesting. The more I talk to people who like sold weed in college, a lot of them will tell you like the people who are buying weed were athletes. Majority of the time, like that was just a thing in college, especially like nowadays it's a lot more popular. But when you find out How many people in locker rooms are consuming? I think the guys in the NFL say like 75 to 85 percent of every NFL locker room are consuming cannabis.

SpeakerAnd if you've ever played football and you know what your body feels like the day after a game, it's one of the worst feelings. It feels like you got beat up by a group of people.

BubblemanYeah, we did. Right. So run over by a three hundred and sixty five pound Ford F-350.

SpeakerI'm just like, there's so many athletes that are like, I've been a secret consumer for a long time. And now I feel like there's a community to come out and actually say like, Ricky Williams was never alone at any point in time. He was just...

BubblemanHe was just the first willing to give up $10 million to prove his point.

SpeakerRight.

BubblemanYou know, that's the one, that's the hard one. That's... You know, it's not everyone's willing to do that. Take those kind of hits, you know? I remember Ice-T took a big hit like that because he wouldn't get a vaccine during COVID. They were just like, no, man, we'll give you like $5 million. He's like, no. He's like, well, we'll give you like $7.5 million. He's like, no, I'm not going to do that.

BubblemanHe's like, well, we'll give you like 10. I don't know what the final number was, but it was millions of dollars that he said no to because he was like, no, I'm not going to get a fucking COVID vaccine.

BubblemanSometimes you got to stand your ground, whatever that ground is. It's good to have one.

BubblemanIt is definitely good to have one. So what else in the cannabis world? It's coming into October. We've got our strikes in Canada. I think a new tax just hit Michigan that's going to make the total tax like close to 40%. It's like a new 15% tax or something. I saw they were picketing and fucking, you know, trying to fight the good fight there. That's really, that is an incredible blow to a fairly mature cannabis market in Michigan.

BubblemanYou know, it's not like they're selling $100 grams anyway. It's very, it's priced well. So for them to come in, I, you know, not that I understand pricing the cannabis market where people are buying $100 grams more, but, You know, bringing a tax in like that for Michigan is going to bankrupt a lot of companies.

Collin PalmerYeah, it's a 24% wholesale tax scheduled to take effect January 1st.

BubblemanLike on top of an already 16% tax, right?

Collin PalmerRecreational cannabis consumers pay a total of 16% taxes, the 10% excise and 6% sales tax, I guess. So... Well, now 24% on top of 16%. No, I think it, well, they're saying proposed tax changes starting January 1st would be a new state budget signed into law October 25th. Includes a major change to the cannabis taxation, 24% wholesale tax and new 24% excise tax would be applied to the first sale or transfer between a cannabis business and a retailer.

Collin PalmerSo yeah, you're right. So this is like if you're a retailer and you're buying like your products, Marcus, right? That exchange already now comes with a 24% tax on it.

BubblemanSo, dang, yeah. That is just unbelievable. Moving in the wrong direction. It's like, it would just be nice if they just did a couple of cool things that were like, oh my God, this is going to let everyone breathe. You know, like I saw our mayor in Vancouver the other day announced that there would be a 0% tax increase for properties. Which I thought, wow, that's cool.

BubblemanLike, imagine how much money that is for him to just be like, oh, it's going to be a 0.2% or a 0.02% increase. That would be like hundreds of millions of dollars that he just kind of somehow let people keep. Themselves. Now, probably the taxes have gone up so much in Vancouver in the last five years that I don't even know how ridiculous it is. But it's still cool that someone somewhere was willing to propose a zero percent tax increase.

BubblemanI just don't think I'd ever heard that before. Other than a politician trying to get elected, you know, like, I promise you zero percent tax raise. It's like, right. Sure you do. You fucking lying piece of shit.

Collin PalmerIt's interesting how that works, right? Like, you know, they look at what we do in the industry as, you know, something that they can just continue to take from when they don't even understand that the structure of it doesn't work, you know? So it's like... Thank you for watching.

BubblemanJust to kind of have an actual accurate, you know, then if you know what you're doing, then well, you can push envelopes here and there, but you won't push them so far past economic viability, which is what they seem to be doing now. By not understanding how sort of delicate the industry is. And when I say that it's the industry, the plant itself and the trade of the plant is not a delicate in the balance thing.

BubblemanThat will go on forever with or without licensing, fucking whatever else you want to call it. Cannabis will always be grown and traded and sold. To people all over the world. And the more they release Pandora's box, the more likely it will be that way. The fact that also cannabis very rarely gets legalized or allowed in any country without home growing being a part of that. So that is, I mean, what an amazing thing that is.

BubblemanNot only can you have it and can you come buy it at the store, And it's easy to complain. It's easy to be upset about how the systems work. But I will say that at the same time, like anyone in BC or Canada, for that matter, could just walk, drive, bus, train to a cannabis store right now. And find something special at that store. Something will be there that's reasonable.

BubblemanNow, maybe not right today because of the strike, but pretty much consistently since, you know, I'd say the last couple of years is when I started seeing a quality of material, you know, the smaller companies and stuff, and maybe even a few of the larger companies finally getting it right and putting, you know, product that is actually, you know, worth buying at those stores from my perspective.

BubblemanThank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanI'm happy for them. I'm like, yeah, dude, go out and smoke that joint like right on. Like, it just makes me feel so good that that many people are just buying joints. And it was amazing in Canada because all it had to do was become legal. And then all these people like, oh, yeah, I'll try that now. Yeah. Thank you for watching.

BubblemanIt fucking... It popped. So many people. My daughter tells me that everyone buys cannabis. She's just like, you wouldn't believe it, Dad. It's everyone. It's just a... It's so many people in our neighborhood. It's so many just like from little old ladies to... To, you know, freshly 21 year old dudes coming in to buy joints. It is pretty awesome. All right. Alex sent me an email. I'm going to check that real quick because he's asking me if I got the email.

BubblemanSo probably it's best if I pay some attention. Yes, I did. I got his email and that is him. All right. So I'm going to tell him what to say today.

BubblemanAll right, so there it is. I sent him something to say in chat. When he says it, we will know that it's him. In fact, I pretty much do know that it's him because his email, I'm quite certain I've received an email from him before. But congratulations, Alex. Congratulations to the Press Club for hooking it up. And shout out to Puffco because I'm about to rip a dab.

BubblemanI'm going to rip a dab. of this bubble hatch oh my god this is like the poster bubble hash that you could take a very small piece and you could put a poster up on a wall with this half like absolutely stupendously sticky oh my god and it smells so good this is the sunday driver and that sunday driver's fucking nice dude not gonna lie i really like it it's just got a real fresh

BubblemanSo let's hit it on. Oh, I don't know what the fuck I did. There we go. I think I hit it three times instead of four, three instead of two.

Collin PalmerSo, Steven, what's going on in your world, man? Like, are you, besides, you're working on doing a podcast, you working on any studies or reading anything interesting that you can share?

SpeakerYeah, I mean, I'll give you guys some kind of cool background. So, I'm sure you've heard, like, funding is a big thing right now for researchers. Yeah. Depending on what you're researching, like your funding may just be cut. Something that's super interesting is that I work in military health and human performance space. So people are still funding like military health research, PTSD, all that stuff. So I'm super interested in looking at the endocannabinoid system of people with PTSD.

SpeakerAnd I may have a possibility to do that type of research, so. I think the endocannabinoid system is going to become a lot more common than people think. Cannabis is obviously why we learned about it. But now it's like, what does the endocannabinoid system look like of kids with epilepsy? What does it look like people that have cancer? What does it look like with people that have PTSD?

SpeakerSo yeah, looking to get with some researchers who specialize in like different disease and ailments and do some ECS research. That's just me doing my regular nerd now, man. I was actually gonna ask you guys the opposite end of my nerd spectrum. Do you all game? Like, are you gamers? And if so, is gaming part of your regular, like, does your cannabis consumption and gaming have a relationship with each other?

BubblemanI do not game. I used to play games years ago, video games, but I haven't for many, many years to the point where really for me, I was probably playing like Super Mario Brothers when I stopped playing video games. You know, my video game peak happened with like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat in actual like video, you know, big machines at like the 7-Eleven kind of thing.

BubblemanUh, my son games, but I haven't really, I, I've, you know, this whole like POV, like crazy. I can't, I can't do it. I'm just like, I'm, I get dizzy. I get like kind of motion sickness. Uh, so I do not myself game, but, um, Yeah, I definitely, back in the day, you know, when I was, you know, kind of growing out of it, but starting to puff, we would definitely like invite buddies over and just play a game all night long till we finish it kind of thing.

BubblemanJust puffing and puffing and eating and puffing and playing this game. And we did that with like, You know, Mario and Legends of Zelda and all the classic sort of old school Nintendo games. Maybe I finished it off with like Goldeneye, that Bond game, the shooting game. That was about as technical as I got. 64-bit. Yeah, I started in the 8-bit, Alex. So it was, I mean, honestly, before the Atari, we had Pong and it was like really bad.

BubblemanLike really, really bad. Yet it was everything. It was so simple, you know? And it's amazing. The evolution of video games to me is incredible because it's like this fractal of human existence, which is this, I had this thought years ago, and I'm not sure if I read it in a book or came up with it on a psychedelic experience or a combination of two, but just that concept that Because people are like, oh, we're like trying to get, you know, we're in a simulation, they say.

BubblemanAnd video games seem to be a simulation of the simulation. And I had this thought that it's likely that we're probably in a fractal of simulations. We're in a simulation, in a simulation, in a simulation, and it's just a fractal that's just twisting and turning. And, you know, in the next three to five years, probably less, when you put those optical, those optic goggles on, You know, it'll almost be undistinguishable from the experience that we're in right now.

BubblemanAnd who's to say that's not exactly what's happening anyway, that your soul is in this meat puppet video game operating in three dimensions. It's pretty trippy stuff to think about.

SpeakerYeah, in my lab, we actually put people in VR. And then we look at their brain waves and the blood flow in their brain. So we can actually tell like how their brain is communicating while they're in VR. And after a while, your brain originally knows when you first put the goggles on, like I just put something on my head, I'm looking at a screen. But after a while, your brain normalizes and your brain is like, Your depth perception is kind of just adjusted and you're like, hey, my brain is now adapted to this virtual reality.

SpeakerAnd when you take the things off, I think the longest I played in VR is like consistently three hours with no break. That's the longest I've ever let myself play. That three hours was intense. Like when I took it off, I was just like, If you got kids, just let them play, but take that thing off because we figured out it messes up your depth perception. Like when you reach to touch something in real life, there's a feedback that you get when you hit something.

SpeakerIn VR, when you reach, you don't get that same feedback. So people's mechanics were off. I was like, oh shit, we should be like, that's pretty crazy, but it's no different than like, A trip, honestly, is a screen. Think about it like the VR is not projecting those images. It's projecting lights into your eyes to make you see something. So they're saying that like LSD trips are like an internal version of that.

SpeakerInstead of needing a light from the outside to change your vision, your brain is changing the station. So it's like where VR is right now is crazy and it goes right into the psychedelic space because your brain is... Doesn't really know the difference between where we are right now, a dream VR and LSD trip. Your brain just adapts.

BubblemanYeah, it's just programd by your subconscious. That's why the narrative that you tell yourself is pretty important. You want to make sure that that story is on the positive and not on the negative. Sometimes, especially people, they like to kind of derail their own lives and cut their own selves down. They'll say, oh, yeah, I could never do that. Or just, it's like, of course you could do that.

BubblemanBut the more you say, I could never do that, the more that will become a reality. So it's like, and your brain doesn't know the difference between the bad story or the, you know, like it just thinks both of them are true. So if you believe lies that you're telling yourself or that the, you know, the demons are telling you, if you believe those lies, you convince your brain to believe them as well.

BubblemanSo don't do that. Don't do that.

BubblemanYeah, it's good to put your electronics down every once in a while. Take a step back and take a break and enjoy the real world. And yeah, there's apps that you can get now that help you put your phone down more readily. I think it's going to become more and more popular. To sort of reduce the amount of exposure that we have, particularly to the phones, because they're in our hands all the time.

BubblemanI know from my youngest son, he can watch an hour of The Simpsons and be pretty much unaffected, get up and go off and do the rest of his day. But if he does over an hour on his iPad, It actually changes his personality and it makes him like aggressive and angry and not want to agreeable and it's really fucking noticeable and both my wife have noticed it like as clear as a bell so we don't let him do more than an hour we keep them just under an hour you know he can max out at 53 minutes when he only has 53 minutes he very rarely does it all in one sitting because he wants to extend it so he does like 10 minutes and five minutes and 10 minutes and those exposures Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanWho themselves didn't even realize they were doing it. A lot of the engineers are interviewed in this book, Stolen Focus. And they say, you know, like the guy that created Infinite Scroll, where it doesn't stop anymore, but it just keeps going. He thought he was doing good. He was like, yeah, this will keep, you know, people from like I'll save everyone so much time. Well, it increased people's online activity by 50% instantly.

BubblemanThe minute it was added, the fact that you didn't have this split second for your brain to stop at the bottom of a page where it said next or two or three or four, and that just made it so much easier for people to get sucked in more. A lot of these engineers are like, I won't let my kid go anywhere near it. We don't allow our children to use these technologies.

Bubblemanbecause they're all double-edged swords that got used for the wrong sharp end of the sword and so what the the end that it got used for is to uh steal your focus and then monetize said focus and it is And unfortunately, in this book, he talks about he talks to a couple of serious psychologists and one of them, I believe she's in the US, talks about how anything over an hour for a teenager over an hour of screen time increases suicidal ideation by 77%.

BubblemanI was like, holy shit. Welcome, Dr. Mark.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHey folks, how's it going today? It's going pretty good.

BubblemanWe kind of got a little off topic talking about the dangers of screen time, but not really off topic because Stephen had asked the question about video games and cannabis use and he talked about how he had spent up to three hours on one of these VRs before and he talked about setting people up and scanning their brains and, you know, it It just kind of led us here very naturally.

BubblemanBut yeah, it's a good thing to be responsible for. And it's not only kids who have problems with these things. It's adults as well. So be careful with yours. Absolutely.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI mean, you're just talking about getting out and being in the real world. Well, I'll use that excuse for being late to house church. It's just such a fucking beautiful day out here. And the colors down here in the Champlain Valley are like peaking. And yeah, it's just it's a beautiful day in Vermont. And it's it's tough to, you know, sit behind a computer for four hours when it's so nice outside, right?

BubblemanIt's just I'm telling you, I've been here for four. Well, for three, two and a half, actually, so far. I went and got myself a little tree that is reminiscent of how it looks there right now. So is this kind of what you've got going on right now? This is my sumac tree that I just got.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I mean, here, let me see.

Collin PalmerI can probably like, it's like, that's how it is here. At least we're a little further south than Mark is. Mark's probably a little more developed.

SpeakerMm hmm.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's crazy, Mark.

Collin PalmerIt's like Northeaster here. If it's blue skies for you, that's wild.

Dr Mark ScialdoneLet's see if we can get the people while I lose internet. Let's see. Can you see it? Oh, yeah.

BubblemanOh, we can see it. Yeah. Dude, you leaf blowing for hours? Is that your front yard?

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat's my backyard.

BubblemanAre you just leaf blowing for like the next month? All that into the... How are you going to collect those leaves?

Dr Mark ScialdoneNow we have a service that comes and does that shit, man. I'm too old. Oh my goodness. A service. I do all that shit myself, man.

BubblemanHow much older are you than me?

Dr Mark Scialdone10 years? Actually, that lawn is basically maintained by the marina. There's a marina over here that's got, you know, people have their boats there and everything. So it's kind of like, not like a club. Well, yeah, I guess it's like a boating club, right? But they paid, you know, dues there. And because they pay dues, they have, you know, the thing is professionally maintained.

BubblemanOkay, beautiful. Beautiful. Well, I have to professionally maintain mine myself, but I got to tell you, I fucking love it. I love it. I love the trimming and the sawing and the blowing and the it's just like meditation. I put my headphones on. Sometimes I'll listen to a book and I really get to know the property. Holy Christ. Now I'm not a fan of grass and cutting grass.

BubblemanI think that's just redundant and ridiculous. Yeah. Um, for like my own self, if I had a grass with us with a service, I would be like, wonderful. Yes. Cut the grass, make it look beautiful. The grand kilts can play on there. No problem. I'm not against grass. Just personally, I don't have a bunch of grass at my house because a, my mountainside acre is a mountainside acre.

BubblemanAnd the little bit of grass that I do have is, uh, where my septic field is. Cause I am so out in the boonies. We don't even have like a pro like proper sewage. We have to, uh, We have to truck that shit out.

Dr Mark ScialdonePlenty of teenager in my neighborhood grew up cutting grass, right? If your dad had like a mower in the garage, you're like, okay, like, let's see, you know, roll this around the neighborhood.

BubblemanAnd five bucks a lawn.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOr yeah, 20 bucks a lawn or something like that, right? Where did you grow up?

SpeakerNorthern New Jersey, I guess. I'm sorry, it's 20. That was my first job, 20 bucks a cut.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I think it was either 10 or 20 bucks. I remember it. Dude, what year were you cutting grass? I'm pretty sure it was 20 because I remember the debate about either getting paid With a 20 or two 10s. And it was always good when you had two 10s because I had me and my buddy were cutting grass together. So we could just he could have a 10.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI could have a 10. We can go home with money, right? But hey, Steven, it's good to see you again. I wanted to mention something as a bit of an update. We did suffer a pause in our funding. I get funding through the Vermont Biomedical Research Network, which gets their funding directly from NIH. And so that money was paused during COVID. The RFK Trump shutdown of the NIH.

Dr Mark ScialdoneBut the money was already appropriated. And because money that's already appropriated, it got held up in the courts on whether or not that money falls under this new pause. So the pause was is only in select areas. They wanted to go back and restart up the NIH and look at areas that I guess the current administration or the current secretary thought was more relevant than others. You know, they went down in the rabbit hole of shutting down a lot of RNA related research, but that's near here near there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnyway, our money, which was already appropriated, Finally got released. And so that's great news for me because that's basically my R&D budget right there. So thank you. If people on Hash Church wrote their congressman and complained about this, certainly we did. But I mean, this is like a life or death issue for me because this is how I get paid and how ultimately I do my research.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo that's good, right, for them to be turning on funding again. Thank you.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanYeah, everything costs money nowadays. Holy shit. I went and tried to buy some lumber recently and I was actually like, are you like, I was like, no, this can't be the price of the wood. Like, is this, are you kidding me? It's just like, no, that's the price of the wood. I was just like, holy shit. It was surprising. I'm glad that I didn't need much, but it was, I remember going and buying wood with my dad and filling the back of the truck and You know, him paying some hundreds of dollars and now it's like you could get like a small little amount of wood and pay like $1,100.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think that's just the economy in general, Marcus. I think what happened during... No, what happened was the orange wizard of tariffs actually happened.

BubblemanThis fucking guy right here, who immediately halves your portfolio when that card gets played. You're like, ba-blam!

Dr Mark ScialdoneI'm trying to stay away from politics. I'm trying to stay away from politics. You know, we have...

BubblemanWe are staying away from politics, but the bottom line is, wood's expensive. I'm not going to lie. If you need to build some shit, it is expensive. You'd be better off growing your own at this point in time, to be honest.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThey got a lot of trees in Canada, right? And the whole lumber paper trade. I mean, yeah, this is all affected by these tariffs and it's terrible. And yeah, let's hope we put better people in office. So anyway- We won't.

BubblemanI've been around for 50 years. I've never seen it. It's always bad. It just sometimes seems better. Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd tell me if I'm wrong. I think what it did in many supply chains, it really put a pressure on suppliers and consumers to really get every last penny of margin that possibly exists. Out of their end of the business, just even if you think of like picks and shovels operations, which you could think bubble bags, perfect example, Marcus, it's a pick and shovel, right? It's not, yeah, it's definitely plant touching, right?

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt has to be, right? But the point is, is that You're producing something that's going into an industry where, again, if the value is the products that you're producing, and I know there's high-quality hash made with those bubble bags. There's no question about it. I guess the point is that... In a supply chain that's stressed because of something like the pandemic, that now it's almost like certain prices, even if you're thinking just grocery prices, certain prices went up.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you for watching.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSupply chain arrangement these days, and that could just be your packaging, could be your vape hardware, could be anything along those lines where, again, you're existing at such razor thin margins that, you know, some of these businesses are barely alive. You mentioned Michigan before. Michigan has always had a very robust legacy market, right? There are a lot of heads in Michigan, a lot of people who grew good weed, there was good Genetics there for years and yet increasing taxes is exactly what you don't want to do because now you're going to basically the person who was maybe going to dispensary now is just going to go to their legacy grower and get whatever they need.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI mean it's just it's ridiculous because in this economy and everything people have less Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo, I don't know, man. I think there's more of a macroeconomic thing that certainly touches on politics, but I think that there's something going on right now that ultimately is going to stress a lot of companies and maybe one of the reasons why the hemp side of things is doing so well down here in the U.S. I don't know. Just some random thoughts.

BubblemanWell, the hemp thing will do so well down in the U.S. because it's like, imagine you're like, okay, we're going to let you be a part of an industry that is super highly regulated and super difficult and cutthroat and low margins and all of this stuff because of the regulations. But then we're going to let you play over here, do the exact same thing, but not have to follow any of the regulations or any of those rules whatsoever.

BubblemanGo ahead, Stephen, you got your hand up.

SpeakerYeah, I think here in the U.S. at least, Kind of to Dr. Mark's point, the same people that were involved in pushing policy for both hemp and pushing policy for rec, at the top level, a lot of these tech companies during COVID that lost money, they needed to move their money into another sector. And in the U.S., business is always related to the real estate to which you can acquire through that business.

SpeakerSo they saw cannabis as like, oh, we can do real estate businesses and we can do obviously cannabis at the same time. They didn't really go all in on recreational cannabis because if you look, these same companies are now using the THCA window to ship stuff online. So these companies put their feet in both sectors and really just waited to see which one would win. Because once I saw these big companies that were petitioning against Recreational cannabis and for THCA, that didn't make sense.

SpeakerI'm like, you guys also own dispensaries through this highly regulated process. Like you just said, why would these big companies be petitioning? They were never fully into the recreational legal side. They were never fully into THCA. They wanted to see which one would win. And now they're essentially like pulling the plug and trying to just go support the THCA side. So it is macroeconomics like Dr. Mark was saying.

SpeakerThey were just waiting to see what the fallout would be to the economy from COVID. Once the answer got more clear, they leaned into the THCA and that's what they're really pushing now.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, no, I agree. But the other thing is like, even with CBD, Stephen, I mean, like, it's interesting to contemplate that right now, the FD&C Act prohibits the use of an active ingredient of an FDA approved drug into food, feed, or cosmetic for interstate commerce. So both THC and CBD are active ingredient, approved active ingredients. So I thought, again, you know, again, not a Trump fan and everything, but, you know, looking to see, you know, I believe putting somebody like RFK in an HHS could just be a disruptor that can basically change the...

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you so much for joining us today.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneFor more seeds, and that's the soybean game, right? We've talked about this on Hash Church, right? The idea is to switch it from protein per acre from soybeans over to hemp, but that's a whole different discussion. But Stephen, here's the thing, man, like even with the FD&C Act in place, you know, the FDA sends... Probably like, I don't know, like about three or four dozen letters a year to people who are manufacturing.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd mostly it's around, you know, labels that look like Doritos, you know, or something. It's like a lot of stuff like targeted to children because it's like, ooh, watch the children. But like Delta 8 letters that go out to companies, again, who are making Delta 8, who are thinking, oh, okay, they only talk about Delta 9 in the farm bill, therefore Delta 8's legal. So here, let's make Delta 8 Doritos or whatever, or, you know, Lifesaver gummies, you know, all targeted towards, you know, I wouldn't just say the kids, but targeted towards the candy consuming demographic, whatever that is.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHey, I like a Sour Patch Kid too myself. So I fall into that demographic and I'm a 62 year old guy. So I, it's not just kids, but kids, You know, the razor thin margins that people operate at in this business is like all based on speculation and uncertainty around regulation. What are they going to do in the next farm bill? You know, are they going to be more specific to try to close that THCA supposed loophole?

Dr Mark ScialdoneYou know, there's no loophole at all. If you go to the farm bill and you go and you read the language, of the bill down in there it says you need to decarboxylate it's like you there's there's no getting around it high thca cannabis is not What Congress regulated into hemp and Hawaii here in the chat is going to disagree with me, but I love you, Hawaii.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI love you, brother. Just keep in mind that again, like in the regulation itself, if you read down and they reference the USDA method, they do account for how to determine THC on a dry weight basis, which is what the law requires, right? That's what the farm bill farm bill says. 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis. So you have to. Measure the amount of water in there and, you know, do things like an analytical testing lab would do to determine.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you for joining us.

BubblemanAnd the fact that- Yes, well, no, Canada does grain. It's in America that it's just cannabinoids because grain is food for the world. Everyone eats.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo they've segregated this now into a different market called floral hemp. I guess it's no longer industrial hemp, it's floral hemp. But it's grown like a cannabis cultivar, maximizing canopy and trichomes and- I think a lot of those genetics have existed for years, right? I mean, it's not anything new. It's people just rediscovering them. And it's great too that they have genetics that basically where those synthases are knocked out and you get high CBG and that's, you know, directly reflective in the cost of CBG and CBGA being You know, pretty reasonably priced.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo those things could go in. Now, now, CBG and CBGA aren't in FDA approved drugs, right? So if you wanted to put those into food, feed, tinctures, topicals, pet treats, whatever, maybe it would be outside that umbrella. But I think, you know, again, the FDA, going back to the Charlotte's Web, Ruling basically recognize that our existing regulation structure cannabis just not fit it into because it's poly pharmaceutical.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's not a single active ingredient and there's no way for us to regulate that and really prove its safety. Oh, look at Remo. Wow.

BubblemanYeah, this is Remo's, some of his, I don't know if these were all hemp plants as well, but they were like 10 to 12 feet tall. And they were in tiny little like buckets, like seven gallon buckets. And so I tried to show this earlier, but when you, as you were talking about hemp, I thought, well, we'll show Ramos hemp. So this is, if I fast forward a little bit, this is his hemp hanging.

BubblemanSo he cures his hemp the same way he cures his flower. And it tasted, one of these smelled so much like just pure candy. It smelled and really exactly like Afghan bull rider. I was very surprised. But yeah, he just hangs it in here. He dries it. He carries it properly.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo where does that product go, Marcus? Where does this end up?

BubblemanWe'd have to ask Remo where this particular one goes because he has product that goes into medical. He has product that goes into recreational. And I'm not sure if this is something that he's doing for himself, if he's giving away, if he's selling. He was here earlier in the chat, but he's gone now. So yeah, some sort of pictures or... Final shots. This is all his hemp crop here.

BubblemanLook at the little buckets all of his plants are in, but look how big they are, dude. Like this guy is a fucking maniac, dude. Like those are seven to the maximum is 10 gallons. He's got every plant you see there that's like seven to eight feet tall. Look at the one that Swan is moving in the back right of the room. I'll probably zoom in on it here really soon.

BubblemanI was talking about this earlier with Remo. Swan likes to move the plants around while he's cutting the grass. And for whatever reason, the only place there's green grass on Remo's entire property is right below these plants. Otherwise, there is no green grass anywhere else in the property. It's all like, you know, just died out. But yeah, here, he's going to move that plant now. Look at this thing.

BubblemanIt's not that one. It's the next one that I think he pulls. Yeah, dude. Oh, my God. In a seven gallon pot. You know how unheard of that is? That's ridiculous, dude. It's like a Christmas tree farm. Dude, it is totally a Christmas tree farm. Except if you got in there, you'd see they're actually even taller than Christmas trees. That was the pepper plant I was talking about.

BubblemanI'd never seen a pepper plant so short with... And he had just pulled two off. So that little plant had five peppers on it, and it's like a foot and a half tall. So yeah, this is all Ramos... It sure speaks volumes for his nutrients as well as his own ability to just grow nice things. Every time I've ever been to Remo's, I've left impressed 100% of the time.

BubblemanSo I, yeah, I'm going to go there in the next couple of weeks and we're going to smoke a bunch of hash and we'll film some videos that'll probably end up on both of our channels. So cheers to you, Remo.

BubblemanOh my God, I love Water. He is amazing, dude. He's just a character of characters, you know? He's been doing it for so long. He's so consistently exactly the person that he's always been that I appreciate him. Yeah, absolutely. Well, what else is everyone puffing on? You guys going to have another little dab? Are we going to call it an hour early? Are we going to keep going for a little bit?

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, Marcus, I wanted to thank you for receiving one of these. You got it. I got it.

BubblemanThat's amazing. Well, don't thank me. Thank Puffco.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYes, so thank you Roger and company and really appreciate the generosity and I'll wait till I have something worthy enough to put in there.

BubblemanYou better get something soon because next week we're all going to be hitting them. I had four or five of them sent out to different folks so I unfortunately probably won't have mine because our Canada Post is on strike so I haven't received mail. For like two or three weeks now, and I suspect I'm missing at least five or six different things. And it'll be interesting to see how long they go on strike for because if they strike up to Christmas, it's going to be insane.

BubblemanAnd yeah, I'll probably end up, you know, getting like a, you know, an eight shelf, eight foot unit full of shit that's been waiting for me in the mail. And I was supposed to get one of those as well. But like I said, with the strike, unless it goes into a courier and delivered right to my door, a lot of the couriers are now doing this thing where they're kind of couriers, but not really.

BubblemanSo you pay a courier and it gets to Canada and then they give it to Canada Post, which is not a courier. That's regular mail. And so this this keeps happening to me. Over and over again, but very nice. I, I, man, I can't believe you're not cracking that and going and finding something awesome to put in it right now.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah. I'm going to go see trainer later. Oh, there you go. There you go. No, that's I hope you're listening.

BubblemanAnd did you notice what, to what, for what unit that was, you know, the sub name was, uh, that's the proxy, right?

Dr Mark ScialdoneYes, but it's the proxy. Is there a sub name?

BubblemanNo, there should be a sub name on it. It's that one is the haze. The haze.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, that one's the haze. Is it supposed to say so on the package or something?

BubblemanI don't know if it says it inside or where it says, but I know there's two of them. The light bluish silvery one is the haze. Proxy Haze. I don't think I'm making that up, but Haze Proxy Modular. Explore the Haze Puff Coat Proxy Kit. Well, that's it. Very cool.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, so I'm coming to see you, trainer.

BubblemanYeah, we'll make sure it's got a charge. I'd crack that thing open and make sure it has a charge.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, yeah, I'll charge it up, but...

BubblemanCharge it up. Yeah, that's nice, dude. Thank you so much, Marcus. Thank you. You know, I'm not worthy. You're worthy, Dr. Mark. Just make sure you got something nice to put in it and enjoy it. Look, dude, not only are you worthy, bro, look at how fucking cool are these things. I got my ceramic one, my old one. How fucking like debonair. And cool is puffing on one of these.

BubblemanI'm telling you, when you puff on one of these, you completely reduce that prohibition perspective of like smoking a pipe or getting like, it's just, it just, it changes when you have a pipe like this. It suddenly looks like sort of an old man, sort of like,

Dr Mark ScialdoneI don't need any help with that.

BubblemanI'm loading mine right now, dude. No, I'm telling you, you got the gray beard, you got the cats down under the stars, embroidery. You got to have the Puffco. Okay, I'm opening it right now. Dude, please open it right now. I'm going to load mine because I'm so excited that you got yours. How about that?

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, well, let's see here. What did I do with my rosin? Yeah, I'm always impressed with their packaging too, right?

BubblemanYeah, we're paying attention to all of it, for sure. Yeah.

Collin PalmerYeah, I'm psyched for you, Dr. Mark. Tell us how.

BubblemanOh, there it is, hiding behind the puff toe. Hey, Colin, what's up, buddy?

Collin PalmerNot much, man. Just joined this afternoon. It's a little gray out here. It's getting really windy.

Collin PalmerNor'easter. Yeah, here it is.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo there we go. There's an image of Dr. Mark. That is nice. That is nice. Elementary, my dear Marcus. Don't forget to take the kid, dude.

Collin PalmerStart it up.

BubblemanYeah, I just loaded mine because I am... Let's make sure mine's on.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, one, two, three. Oh, so it's got like a much smaller bowl than the... the peak.

Collin PalmerYeah, it's different.

BubblemanBut that one rips. That one you can hook up to the app. So you should download the Path, Puffway, Puffco app. And you'll be able to hook your phone up to that unit and you'll be able to control a whole variety of things. I don't know if you can punch in Puffco. I think the app is called Path, P-A-T-H. And I can show you what it looks like on the phone.

BubblemanP-A-T-H. So it's, yeah, it's the, no, is that the one? Did the puff go?

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, there's a QR code inside the box, Marcus. I'd take it if I scan that, it'll probably take me to the, okay.

BubblemanIt says Path Browser. What a nice little unit. Can you pull it out of the pipe?

BubblemanBeautiful. So you can get a glass blower to make you another pipe that that plugs into any type of device.

BubblemanPlus they sell all sorts of different glass for it.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo this is the haze glass?

BubblemanYeah, it looks like it. I think so. I asked. I said, because I said, he said, oh, I want to send some of the past church panelists some units. I said, well, listen, in honor of Skunk Man Sam, I said, make sure you send them all the Hayes one.

Collin PalmerThat's the inhale gently.

Collin PalmerYeah. Do not submerge into liquid, okay?

Dr Mark ScialdoneNo problem. We won't. I try not to never submerge anything into liquid.

BubblemanExcept your body on a beautiful July 4th afternoon out on the lake.

BubblemanYeah. For a little swim, swim.

Dr Mark ScialdoneNice little piece of hardware here.

BubblemanYeah, dude. Listen, I've told this story multiple times. When I first got my proxy and it was in the proxy glass. I didn't much like it. I also thought it was going to be something that it wasn't, which Jolly Roger explained to me, it's a sipper, not a ripper. Then I got the Gandalf pipe, the glass one that was like really long. And I kind of liked that a little bit, but I grew weary of it fast.

BubblemanIt wasn't, and in fact, I even have, I'm pretty sure I have a brand new one of these that has not been opened on my shelf somewhere, a proxy. Um, but I took this old one and I put it in when he sent me this, the ceramic pipe. I gave one of these to my uncle Gio in Manitoba. So he has a really nice ceramic pipe with a brand new proxy, but I used my old one and this, and since I've hooked this up, I carry it with me.

BubblemanI carry my pivot. I carry this and I carry my Peak Pro. And I always make sure I have all three of them because I get stoned and I forget sometimes and I don't charge it or I let the battery die out. So when I have all three of them, I'm never disappointed because all three of them, Worst case scenario, if this is the only one that's going, I still enjoy the experience.

BubblemanThe Pivot is phenomenal. And if it's dead, I can plug it into my phone, forget about anywhere else, just a USB-C to USB-C, and I can charge that thing in under 10 minutes, enough to give me and a couple of buddies each a big rip. So it's a pretty incredible unit, the Pivot, even if it's dead, that you can... That you can bring it back to life really, really quickly.

BubblemanYou carry it on the plane with you? Yeah, all of them come on the plane with me. Exactly.

Dr Mark ScialdoneDoes the TSA ever say anything to you about it?

BubblemanWell, I mean, I never deal with the TSA because they're in America, but... Oh, right, right. No, in Canada, the rule is they want all batteries to be on your carry-on bag. So they request all of your batteries, whether it's a charging unit, if it's a puff coat with a battery base, any lithium ion batteries. They don't want in the suitcases under the plane because they have been known to explode and start fires.

BubblemanSo they're like the fires and the explosions are small and can be easily contained. They just rather that happen on top of the plane instead of under the plane where nobody is. So I've never heard of it happening, but I bring all my shit. My carry-on bag is basically batteries. That's what it is. And it's funny because sometimes they'll say, oh, there's no room on the plane.

BubblemanCan we take your carry-on bag? And put it underneath. And I'm like, no, you can't. And they're like, well, no, if you give us permission, we can. I said, no, it's literally fucking full of lithium-ion batteries. Like, you're not going to put this under the plane. Oh, you're right, sir. Sorry. You know, video cameras, camera, all my shit in my backpack is batteries. So it's ridiculous. Sometimes I'm carrying like 15 pounds of batteries.

BubblemanOh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'll tell you, though. Thank you for watching.

BubblemanGot landed in Vancouver from Quebec and opened the bag and everything was burnt in their suitcase because this torch had like turned on and was like had burned most of their clothes. Oh my gosh. Like melted. Dude, oh my gosh is right. Are you kidding me, dude? Holy shit.

Dr Mark ScialdoneGood thing it didn't bring the plane down.

BubblemanOh my God, dude. You think? Like that's why I tell people all the time, don't. Bring a torch if you put gas in it. And I'm telling you, it's almost impossible. I'd fly to, I'd be in Europe. I'd get a really nice torch given to me and I'd be like, I want to bring this home. The night before I flew out, I would turn it on, put it on the windowsill of my hotel, leave it on all night.

BubblemanAnd in the morning I'd wake up and there'd still be a miniature fucking flame on that thing. It was like you couldn't get all the gas out of it, in my opinion, safely enough to go on a plane with it. So I'd always just leave them behind. I'm like, fuck this. I'm not bringing a torch on a plane that has gas in it.

SpeakerYeah.

BubblemanWell, there's probably so little at that point that, you know, you'd think, but listen, a very small fire can become a very big fire. That's how fire works. Well, think about like how many people have like a butane lighter in a... They don't light the same way though. It's that pushing of the button that sparks it. And then just, it's the consistency of the gas, just like...

Collin PalmerYeah, and you're not, it's not like it's happening like in the cabin, like it's happening underneath where no one's.

BubblemanIt's a fear unlocked. You know what I'm saying? I just, I can't go there. I never want to be, I want to, I want always for my cannabis use to never affect people in a negative way, particularly an entire plane full of people.

Collin PalmerYeah, that's fair.

SpeakerYou know what I'm saying? There is that. Holy Christ.

BubblemanWell, I'm glad you got yours, Dr. Mark. That is freaking awesome.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah. Thank you. Thank you. And thank you, Roger and all the friends at Popco.

BubblemanJames and Chelsea and Kevin. And yeah, there's a whole crew of them over there. Good folks. Good folks.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah. And I got a lot of good feedback from the PuffCon that they had too. I guess that was a pretty popular.

BubblemanOh my God, dude. There was like over 9,000 people that went the first day. Right. Right. Right. I heard very good things about it. I heard very, very good things about it. I would definitely try to make my way there next year.

Collin PalmerA hundred percent. Yeah. It looks like a great event. It's really turned into a, It's our own thing and it's supporting hash, you know, that's amazing.

BubblemanWell, you know, that is the thing. I had a gentleman visiting from New Zealand recently. There's a company I've been talking to in New Zealand for the last couple of months and One of the gentlemen whose brothers with the CEO came over and I spent a day with him kind of touring around with him. And I was showing him the Puffco's and I was showing him the pivot and the proxy and he hadn't really seen it too much.

BubblemanBut I said, you know, this company right here has done a lot for the normalization. And of course, there's many, many companies that line up behind Puffco. That are pushing, you know, that boundary as well. But Puffco has done sort of the highest level of mainstream exposure to dab culture. You know, they literally took dabbing, which was kind of scary with the torches and all the stuff.

BubblemanAnd they just made it like this thing that's just like in your hand that you could do while you're watching your kid play soccer. Like it really is quite a thing to take from what it was, which was this like, You know, this crazy full rig with like the dab right and the dunk tank and the dabber and the carb cap and the, you know, the glob mops and the amazing amount of shit that you need to take a dab and then just turning it into, well, I mean, really, where's the other one?

BubblemanIt's this one. That's the, that's kind of the newest crazy. This is insane. What a good dab this gives to just have it in my pocket. It's, and I've been, listen, I've gone through, Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanGo buy a jar and a dabber, and now you've got a nice, clean, fresh hit every time. You're not heating up all your material. It's just not the same in any way, shape, or form. I'd rather vaporize non-decarboxylated materials than pre-decarbed materials. It's just the fact that you can charge it off your phone. For me, it's my favorite unit on the mountain because when I fall, I can't hurt myself on it.

BubblemanI could hurt myself on this for sure. And this glass could go into, you know, the hard case. I do like the hard case that I can put that in the back of my backpack and have the bong. But, you know, from the perspective of Whistler this year, I suspect this is the one that I'll be hitting left, right, and center. Although we'll see what that proxy is all about.

BubblemanIs that like a little glass pipe that it came in, Dr. Mark?

Dr Mark ScialdoneUm... There's not a case, if that's what you're asking.

BubblemanNo, just the pipe itself. Like, this is the pipe, and then it goes into a glass piece.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight.

BubblemanThe pipe that you're hitting on is probably glass, I'm guessing. Yes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI can't imagine it being anything else. I already put it back in the box.

BubblemanOh, dude, take it out of the box. You'll never hit it in the box. Once you take it out, never put it back in. Although if you're like me, I just have like a whole like case, like all just full of all the boxes and stuff. It's just shit that people have sent me. It's quite a few boxes I should probably get rid of.

Collin PalmerIt's great though.

BubblemanTry not to fall with any Puff Co. He says, well, you know, listen, I'm snowboarding. I'm going to fall. It's a realiztic, you know, you got to be realiztic when you get up on the mountain.

Collin PalmerYeah, I mean, I'm telling you, dude, the pivot is I'm pretty stoked on it.

BubblemanMy Puffco Peak, when I kill it, it needs to be plugged into the wall. I have not been able to charge my phone with this one. Maybe that one you have, Dr. Mark, charges off of a phone. But to me, the greatest thing that this does that's new is USB-C to USB-C right into my phone. Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanI, uh, and I've thought, dude, if you watch my videos, like I've taken mother ships on the fucking mountain in the back of my backpack, right? Like I've been up there with ships and torches, fucking dab rights and all this ridiculous shit. That's the most ridiculous and absurd thing to bring onto a mountain. So it is a big deal for me to be able to kind of get, you know, Not quite the same grade or quality or caliber of rip, but it's getting closer and closer and closer.

BubblemanAnd so to be able to hit, you know, a great rip and then just do my line is... I can only imagine where it's going, you know, what is it going to be a little ring that I just go, I push the button and it just goes blast this little hit into my mouth. And then I, like, I can only imagine where it's going because it's gotten so much better each year.

BubblemanAnd, uh,

BubblemanYeah. Fucking shout out to companies like Puffco or pushing the boundaries to do it. I've, uh, that's never been my area of expertise, you know, and I hear all sorts of people and how they love to critic, critic, critique all of these different products, but I'm a user. I just want to use these different products when it comes to like, you know, I'll, I'll never forget when I did jar check with Roger, he was like, You know, you're the hash guy.

BubblemanYou're making the hash. You're going to look at all this hash differently. He says, I'm a custody. Well, in the case of these units, I'm a custody. And I want these units to like, I'm a customer. That's what I am when it comes to these fucking units. I'm not designing them. I'm not putting time into manufacturing them and bringing them to fucking market packaging and all this incredibly complex shit, running booths at every event and throwing giant puff cons.

BubblemanI think it's incredible, but I'm a custody. And as a customer, fuck, do I ever love the whole line? It's yeah, I'm all about it. So let's have a puff out of one of these puff goes. What are we going to do? We're going to hit this one. We're going to hit this one. We're going to hit this one. Are we going to figure out how to do all three at once?

Collin PalmerBecause this is all I got right now. Both of mine are down.

BubblemanOh, is that all you have?

Collin PalmerAll I got today.

BubblemanOh, look at you, poor Colin with his fucking $25,000 mothership. Poor guy.

SpeakerOver here listening to Marcus ordering me a pivot.

BubblemanYeah, dude, like 10 people in chat. Well, I guess I'm getting a pivot. I'm like, dude, I'm telling you, like, I'll fucking pay you your money back if you don't like it. There's no way you won't like it. It's so fucking good, man. It's definitely good.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat is that retail for, the pivot?

BubblemanI would think like $150 maybe. $150?

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight.

Collin PalmerShout out to their customer service because, you know, they sent me multiple slips to send mine back, which I have it boxed up here to send back.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd so you just you just gave customers an alternative to buying a vape pen, right? You're saying buy a pivot and buy a jar hash, right?

Collin PalmerYes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd so think about those economics for a second. So the jar hash. OK, yeah, the glass probably comes from China still, right? But it's just hash, right? And now you're getting multiple uses out of the hardware, which, yeah, okay. Roger would probably kill us, right? Comes from China, right? No doubt, right? Don't you think? It probably still comes. There's still components that come from China, right? So this isn't completely like...

Dr Mark ScialdoneBeen made completely in the United States or in Canada or wherever. But yeah, for the most part, the value is, is that you could use it over and over again versus single use carts, which you throw away.

BubblemanDude, it's kind of a no-brainer. Not to mention, it's a better experience every time.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThere's no cart that competes. If you bought a cart in Canada, what would a disposable cartridge cost? Like a half gram or a gram?

BubblemanIt would be, well, like a gram would probably be between $50 and $70.

Dr Mark Scialdone$50 and $70. So that's like half of the cost of the pivot right there. Yeah, getting there. About. It'd be two to three carts. Okay, so for the cost of about two to three carts, you can buy a pivot and have a jar of hash where you can smell it and not just look at some oil that's inside a tank.

BubblemanWell, that's it. And then you could run all sorts of different raw resins through that pen because you can clean it each time. And then you're also, you know, someone in the chat as we're talking about this said, the money I'm saving in butane since owning my pivot is crazy. So then there's also that aspect. So you have like sort of a multitude of aspects.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOh, for the lighter.

BubblemanFor the light. Okay. I was thinking.

Dr Mark ScialdoneFor the torch. Okay. For the torch. Right, right.

SpeakerThat torch will eat up some butane.

BubblemanThe torch does eat up butane. You don't think it does, but it's pretty consistent. And if you're puffing tough, you're blasting through cans. And it's like, A, I don't want to do that at all. I mean, I've got my universal heater here that I'm heating my banger up with. But, you know, for me, I like to have different units for different times. It's just not convenient for me to be snowboarding and have a mothership with me.

BubblemanIt's ridiculous. But it's totally convenient for me to just have this. And in the long run, I'll always have this, even when I'm at home, even when I'm wherever. And the odd time it even comes in handy when I think I'm about to take a rip out of my rig and then I realize oh the universal heater was turned off it's not turned on it's like fuck it I'll just take the rip out of this so it's all about opportunity and where when you want to hit what they all nothing compares to what Colin just hit the banger the dab through the shit like that is like We're not trying to say these things are the equivalent to that because they're not.

BubblemanAnd if you're someone that hits those things all the time and you go back to hitting, you know, cause I see those people complaining all the time. They're like, oh, I don't like those, those units. They're no good. They don't give me the same high. It's like, well, dude, you're basically the equivalent of a rosin crackhead. Like no shit. They don't fucking compare with the high. Like you're smoking fucking 40, 50 dabs a day.

BubblemanYou're smoking like quarter gram dabs. It's like, nope. These machines were not designed for you. In fact, what happens with those people when they use these machines is they put in too much, they suck too hard, they get oil going into the internal components of the units and they eventually break the unit. And some of them, the ones that puff really tough, break them very quickly. And then go on Reddit and talk about how shitty they are and how shitty the company is and how shitty the equipment is.

BubblemanAnd it's like, bro, Thank you for watching.

BubblemanBut it's like having a specialized, super specialized diet and going to a restaurant and being upset when they can't fulfill what you require for your fucking specialized diet. It's like go home and make your own fucking food. Well, that's what you should do when you dab like that. And when you want to have a dab out of a Puffco or a similar unit, you know, do it with a

BubblemanThere's a maximum that you can't go over. And it's not like written. It's just intuitively known that if you're puffing too hard, you'll pull it into your mouthpiece. Or for this unit, you'll pull it into, you know, there's these little holes on top. And if you pull the oil into those holes, Thank you for joining us.

Collin PalmerYeah, I mean, I used mine so much, man, that I was like, you know, not surprised, surprised that it went down. But the way it went down had nothing to do with my use. It had everything to do with just the battery. It wouldn't stay charged. And that... That just happens with electronics sometimes.

BubblemanOf course, that's going to be a part of it too. That's the 20% where there's actual warranty work that's required. But when you add the 80% of people bashing on Reddit because they fucking took half gram dabs out of their Puffco like 15 times in a row, never cleaned it, ignored the... And then just like, it's not working anymore. It's like, well, dude, like... 100%. And they've told me they've opened them up, the bases, and I'm not just talking about like going like this and finding oil, although I like to keep mine clean so you won't see much oil in mine.

BubblemanThey said like when you remove this piece, oil all inside the battery, it's like, dude, like, holy shit.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This has always been a big issue, you know, and not all oil is created equal. That's me now.

BubblemanAlso the same.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd I had one of those focus kind of, it was like a peak, but it was the focus version of it. And it was just, I don't know if it was the design or if it was just flawed or something. It always leaked water into the lower unit. And I don't know, I tried to, See if I was doing things wrong. It just leaked water, always. I don't know if anyone else has had that.

BubblemanThat's not something you want your electronic device to do. That being said, I do like to put water in my Puffco, but more often than not, I hit it dry. You hit it dry, yeah, yeah. I hit it dry a lot. I do hit it dry a lot. I find the flavor to be pretty, like that Sunday Driver, that Masterpiece, this Please Wash Me. Wow. Is that an incredible cultivar?

BubblemanWhat a unique flavor profile on that. Very just different, like almost reminiscent of the old hash plant in the way it tastes. Like, I don't even know how to explain it. Almost musky, but really like serious fucking. Like a haze? It's not like a haze. It doesn't have that strong terpenoline taste. perfume aspect afterwards it goes in the other direction doesn't go up it kind of dissipates out but it is i've only had a couple of dabs of it uh so far so i will have some more here it is right here let me at least show you guys the please wash me shout out to jay for growing this and uh for oh my god yeah there's definitely an onion file kind of Borderline garlicky thing going on here, but this is the please wash me.

Collin PalmerNice.

BubblemanOh my God, dude. It's so nice. Get a little tap so you can see it fall a little bit. Oh, yeah, dude. What nerds we are.

Dr Mark ScialdonePlease wash me is usually what kids would do to the back of a car that needed a car wash, right? They'd take their finger and say, please wash me.

BubblemanPlease wash the car. Yeah, this was please wash. Yeah, I'm about to tell you, it's got to have some fucking like GMO in it or something, dude. It is so fucking garlicky. So strawberry banana, infamous serious seeds, cross between the popular strawberry bubblegum and Crockett's banana kush strain.

BubblemanWow, I wouldn't have guessed that at all.

Collin PalmerIt's probably the kush that's given it that.

BubblemanIt's very, very, very garlicky oniony. Awesome. Like that's just style goodness. Oh my God. It almost goes at the end of it too. It almost goes into a burnt rubber.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, it's got to be the coach. Yeah, like Ian was saying, right? Oh my God. Ian was saying that at a high concentration, they all smell like burnt rubber, but at the low concentration where your nose can barely sense it, that's right at the threshold, break hold. Yeah, this is at threshold, dude.

BubblemanThis is perfection.

Dr Mark ScialdoneCool stuff.

BubblemanCannabis is amazing, man. Come on. Are you kidding me?

Dr Mark ScialdoneNo, it's the best. All right. I just got the text from trainer.

BubblemanI'm all set. Well, you're not quite all set. You're B-ups. You are now lined up to be all set.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, he takes good care of us.

BubblemanIs he going to hook you up with Live Hash Rosen? I don't know.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWe'll have to tune in next week and find out. What did Traynor hook Dr. Mark up? In fact, we'll pull proxies next week. I'll make sure.

BubblemanYeah, when he hooks you up, film it on your phone. So we can show that next week. Next week with Dr. Mark on the live proxy haze cam. Yeah. What did Dr. Mark puff with trainer?

Dr Mark ScialdoneGetting trained by trainer. Yeah. We all know trainers in the States. Oh, yeah. Hell yeah. That's awesome. So it's good to have a relationship with a great hash maker, right?

BubblemanOh, my goodness. Listen, I've always thought it was super important myself, even though I am a hash maker myself. Yes. I love to know great hash makers. I love to keep my finger on the pulse. And, you know, if there's anything I can somehow do, it's one of the joys of my brand because I like to find a great hash maker.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight. It's like being a musician. You appreciate other musicians and you appreciate collaborating with other musicians. And Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd having humility, right? I think as a scientist, I think one of my most enduring qualities is I have humility. I'm not afraid to be wrong, whether it's in the lab or the studio, right?

Collin PalmerYeah. And it's like listening to others. It's important in music, right? Because that dictates what happens next, you know?

Dr Mark ScialdoneWides your perspective.

Collin PalmerCan't get to what happens next without listening. So, you know. Colin, we got to play music, man.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhen are we going to get together and play music? I got two keyboards right over here. Come on, man. That's Paul and Calmer.

Collin PalmerThat's right there. Yeah, we're coming. Didn't he start a reggae band?

Dr Mark ScialdoneLet's go. Colin Culmer. When Bulba Man comes to Quebec next, come up to Vermont and we'll beeline up there and go see him.

BubblemanDude, that'll be in less than a month. I'll be there in three weeks. All right, well, we're ready. Let's go. I'm not joking. Like, that'll be pretty... I've got a pretty big anniversary coming up with my wife. It's our 30th wedding anniversary on November 2nd for my wife and I. Oh, we got to have spouse church.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhen's that going to be?

BubblemanYeah, I don't know about Spouse Church. I better treat my wife a little bit better before I let her come on here and talk about me. No, I'm just joking. No, I like the idea. I think it's funny. I think it would be cool.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWe can't announce it though. It can't like just have to be all of a sudden.

BubblemanPeople will be like, who are all these chicks on Hash Church? What are they talking about? Paul and Calmer in the house.

Collin PalmerColin, you know, he just has too many plants all the time.

BubblemanYeah. Are your guys' husbands obsessed with smoking this stuff the same way mine is? Oh, yeah. Yeah, they are.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat could they possibly find to talk about four hours every Sunday? God, you guys do this every week. What can you possibly have to talk about?

BubblemanWe'll probably start with weed. Start with weed.

BubblemanAfter we talk about weed for, you know, a decent amount of time, then usually it shifts over to hashish, right? Then we talk about that for a little while, a little bit of the hashish. There's some hashish for you. Yeah.

Collin PalmerYeah. I think it looks like a pillow, a nice pillow.

BubblemanLook at the consistency of that. This is like 30 something percent THC. So this isn't bubble. This is just hash that was made with trim.

Collin PalmerThat's great. That's where it began.

BubblemanOh, yeah. You can make very nice hash. It's just a matter of... You know, doing it, doing the right.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo what if your wife walked into a room and there was a table in the middle of the room and that ball of hash was on the table, what would she say?

BubblemanShe'd say, did you leave this ball of hash on the table?

BubblemanBecause it happens. I mean, the other day, my son took the car. I was like, where's the car? She's like, I don't like Tosh took it. I said, Okay, well, I, you know, had a bunch of hash in the backseat. So I'll have to, I'll have to like go wherever he is and get it. So I just I looked on the map, I saw he was like at the grocery store or whatever.

BubblemanAnd I just went there, opened the car door, got got all the hash. So You got to be a little bit careful. Got to be a little smart because it's so legal. You become very, you know, oh, it's just so legal. Well, yeah, for me, I have a very particular license. But if he would have gotten pulled over with that, it wouldn't have been, you know, not that he even knew it was in the car.

BubblemanIt wasn't within arm's reach. It was in the trunk in a Pelican case that was locked. But still, it would have been, you know, we would have had to explain that. And I would not wanted to had to explain that. You just did. Well, to you, I don't mind explaining at all. I wouldn't have wanted to explain it to the police. Yeah. So, well, I killed one of my AirPods.

BubblemanThat's really strange. In under four hours. That's maybe it didn't charge properly.

Collin PalmerDr. Mark, I'll bring you some seeds, my friend. I need some sour diesel times or GKB time back cross.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTo me, Mark.

Collin PalmerYeah.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTo me, Mark. Yes, please. I didn't have anything worthy for Sam's Ashes. You know, I didn't, I wanted to make sure that, yeah.

BubblemanBut you can get something worthy. That's what I'm doing. I haven't used Sam's Ashes yet. They're sitting on a crystal bed in my living room with like his patch and we'll use those when we get the right thing. To me, it's got, it has to be a haze cross with haze. So I'm waiting for that from Chimera.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I don't want to take any chances with his ashes. I want to make sure it's good.

Collin PalmerYeah.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo Dizzle would be great.

Collin PalmerGot a bunch of stuff for you to pick through. I even have some of it's Goldberg's choice. I mean, I showed it to Chimera confirmed the reel. He was like, oh yeah, I remember that. And he was like, how'd you even get these? I was like, I don't even know. Can't even remember. And you've grown out these seeds? Oh yeah, yeah. I have a hundred pack of each varietal.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHow do they produce?

Collin PalmerI mean, if you can get them germinated, amazing. You know, because they're old, you know, but it's like when you get them to go, it's really good. Really amazing. But you're welcome to, you know.

BubblemanYou get to get the right, you know, I know everyone wants to do skunk, but I'm doing haze for sure. That's what I want to do is.

BubblemanYeah. Three of 300. Okay, do it, Jay Cash.

SpeakerDo it.

BubblemanI also have a new partnership in Oregon and he's specialized is in haze. So he's got all these, you know, the piff haze and they just all these different hazes that he's growing down there that, uh, once I get the waiver, I'll head down and go check them out and see which ones are, uh, grab the nose because man, I, I have a very, I just love haze.

BubblemanI've always loved haze and that's what I'm going to, uh, That's what I'm going to put Sam's ashes into for sure once I get the chance.

Collin PalmerYeah. Someone's talking about Tom Hill Hayes.

BubblemanThat is Tom actually talking about Tom Hill Hayes.

Collin PalmerOh, nice. I still have to pack your seeds in my collection here that I often look at, but I have not had a chance to start. So I'll let you know.

BubblemanAwesome. Etienne is in South Africa. He was visiting Myrtle at her farm and he was cruising around and visiting all the other folks. I think he's still there. I would guess if he's not, he's probably traveling. But Etienne is a guy that doesn't go away for four or five days. He usually does like a couple of week plus vacation. So he is definitely, if he's not here, he's still in Africa doing his thing.

BubblemanLucky to have that guy share so much of his time with us as well. Always a bonus when ATN comes and shares all that he's doing. And I'm excited. It's Canadian Thanksgiving today. I've got to go have a really nice Thanksgiving dinner with some wonderful friends in the mushroom picking world, foraging world. He's a big forager, so... I'm sure he'll have chanterelles and oysters and other cauliflower mushrooms that he picked over the last couple of days.

BubblemanI know because he's been sending me pictures of them and we'll probably be eating them today. So that'll be nice. Get our families together. All of our kids are in their 20s and 30s now. They've known each other for decades. You know, 20 plus years. So it's a pretty good vibe. And he is my plant friend as well. You guys don't really know this about me, but my house is now entirely full of plants, like almost to the most ridiculous, like you wouldn't believe it.

BubblemanLike people laugh when they come in. There's just like all you can see is plants everywhere from fucking ginger over here and banana over here. We got all sorts of different flowers and exotics. I got hydrangea clones going on the bookshelf. I got sensitive plants. I've got Thank you so much for watching.

BubblemanBubble Man, that was my original ad. That's a pointillism painting that took him 110 hours. There's not a single straight line on the painting. It's just dots. And so I've known Sean for a very long time, 28 plus years, as well as his kids and his family. And so we're going to have a super nice time. He's a big puffer, loves to puff and get iry and get stoned.

BubblemanAnd, uh, Yeah, it's going to be nice. So hopefully any of you out there watching in Canada that are going to be celebrating Thanksgiving, enjoy it. Have a nice time. You know, go for that walk with that weird uncle halfway through Thanksgiving. And I hope that hasn't gone away. You know, I think that that might be a product of prohibition. And now that things are legal, maybe Thanksgiving's like actually at our Thanksgiving, like we have those poppets, but everyone's poppet was full of a cannabis poppet.

BubblemanProduct or whatever. How cool would that be? But I hope that some families out there are still hiding it from their families and going with their weird uncle or skunkle as we used to like to call them and having a little puff ski on the walk back. How fun was it to come back Where it was kind of unsaid that, yeah, nobody knows, but really everyone knows you reek, you're baked, your eyes are red, and you just don't give a fuck.

BubblemanYou just show up back to the Thanksgiving meal blasted out of your skull with your uncle blasted out of his skull with your fucking mom looking at both of you like she's going to tear your head off. Those are good times and they can't just be my experiences. Surely other people are having these experiences.

SpeakerYep.

BubblemanI hope. I hope. I'm going to invite my uncle onto Hash Church here very, very soon. I don't know exactly when it's going to be, but I want it to be sooner than later. I think he's got some great old school stories. Do a little interview on him. He's been puffing for, gosh, I want to say like 50 years. The messaging tab has a new look. All right.

BubblemanWell, we don't need that. On the other side of things.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIs your dad's brother Marcus?

BubblemanThis is my mom's brother. My dad was an only child. Also, I have Kaya, who I've been speaking with, and he's going to come on with his new team, with his new crew, the new, you know, Seed Company that he's got, which is like a whole slew of people. Now, he sent me a message. I'm guessing it's on Facebook because I've already checked three other places while I'm talking simultaneously looking for this message.

BubblemanSo I can actually remember the names of everyone before I shout them all out. But I'm almost there. So he's going to be coming on November 9th on to Hash Church. And let me see where you're at, Bridren. You're not going to find anything under Kaya, right? Because you're going to be under your real name on Facebook. So I just won't be able to find it. Awesome.

BubblemanLove it. There he is. Bradley Eklund. Got it. Okay. So we got Ghost. Kaya, Fuji, Sonny Chiba, Josh D, and Chemdog will be coming on November 9th. That's going to be a fucking killer episode. These guys have a whole thing going on. Dream Team, A Team, whatever you want to call them. They're a solid fucking team. And we're going to have them on November 9th. Been trying to organize that for quite a while now.

BubblemanHave some other shows in the queue. I know Canna has a show they want to curate here in the near future. And then I want to do the Glass Church with Slinger and D-Rec. That Slinger church the other day was super fun. Just nice to see him just be so excited and telling histories that I hadn't really heard before. In decades myself, and we remembered things a little bit differently, but it was still really exciting and nice and fun.

BubblemanAnd so we're going to have that happen as well. And then I have another group that's reached out that wants to do a show. So we should have three curated hashtag shows that are happening here in the near future. And like always, if there's a show you want to see or there's an idea that you have or whatnot, you can reach out to me at bcbubbleman.icloud.com. And we'll put it together and we'll curate it and we'll make it happen.

BubblemanI'm excited. I'm looking forward to it. I've also spoke with Ian at Abstract and they want to do another volatile organic compound show. Alec from SC Labs missed that. Nick was there, but Marshall Laguerre, the PhD sensory scientist specialist from Yakima Chief, he missed it. Jeremy Plum might have been there, but wasn't there. I want everyone to be there. And so I'm hoping we can do that show again, a part two, if you will, go even deeper into these molecules, deeper into these aromatic volatile compounds and just geek out on it because that first show was super fun.

BubblemanI think stacking the panel with even more brilliant minds. We'll help it to, you know, take it to another level. So we're going to do that as well. So there's lots of good things and exciting things to look forward to. We have about 10 more shows left for the year before it's going to be over. And we'll have done the first entire year every Sunday of Hash Church probably since the third year.

BubblemanThank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanThere would be 52 episodes, right then? At least, yeah, there will be 52. 52 weeks in the year, it should land on 52. Sometimes weird things happen and it's 53 or 51, but the bottom line is we're going to get every one of them this year. Shout out to the sponsors, the Press Club, Puffco, Grandmaster LED, Fresh Hatties, Bubble Bags. Go check out those Fresh Hatties bags.

BubblemanThey're sick. 60% off with that hash church discount code. You'll see 50% already been removed before the code. The code is just going to give you another 10% off of there. And yeah, thanks everyone for joining and gathering. We've got about 12 minutes left. But I don't know, maybe there's something you guys have to say in the last 12 minutes here. Should I cut it loose?

BubblemanHappy Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. Well, it's not quite U.S. Thanksgiving yet. That's going to be in another month and a bit or so. But yes, to all the Canadians out there, regardless if you're at home or not, happy Thanksgiving to you. May the full melt bless your bowl sooner than later. And I think we'll leave it at that.
