Who is BC Bubbleman?

BC Bubbleman is the name Marcus Richardson has worked under for more than 25 years: hash maker, bag maker, host and, since 2008, macro photographer of the resin heads he spends his life collecting. He has called himself a solventless guy for almost 30 years, and his show, Hash Church, has gathered hash makers, growers and scientists every Sunday since 2014.

Where Marcus “Bubbleman” Richardson started

Marcus “Bubbleman” Richardson started in hemp. In his telling, he was one of the hemp guys from Manitoba, whose partners went on to create Manitoba Harvest, and he has been going to British Columbia’s Kootenays since 1990. His first trip to Jamaica came in 1995, before the bags; he brought the bags there around 2001, and has filmed many trips since. Skunkman Sam, the breeder, was his mentor.

Bubbleman and Bubble Bags

Bubbleman launched Bubble Bags in 1999 with his partner Mark Rose. As he tells the history, the knowledge that resin sinks in water passed from an American named N. Rosenthal to the breeder Neville, then to Skunkman Sam and Rob Clarke, and on to Reinhard Delp; Mila made the Ice-O-Lator bags, and Bubbleman followed about three months later. His company set the numbered bags and their colors that hash makers still use, made in Nepal, and the full story of the method is in ice water hash. His own bio is on Bubble Bags.

Hash Church

Hash Church is Bubbleman’s weekly live show, streamed on Sunday mornings since September 28, 2014: three to four hours with a panel of guests, questions from the chat and a lot of hash on the table. Twelve seasons are in the episode archive, and the show also goes out as a podcast.

Bubbleman hash today

Bubbleman hash today runs from full melt to the old styles. His brand has put out six star full melt in Colorado, and he has picked up a second flag, traditional style hash at around 30 percent THC, and put together flights of blonde and red Lebanese style hash with a black Afghan style. He and Skunkman Sam started the Legends of Hash events, and he grades hash on the six star scale, which he credits to others; see the hash star rating.

Bubbleman rosin

Bubbleman rosin has come out under the same brand: on Season 12, Episode 23, he was puffing on Lemon Head live hash rosin from the Bubbleman brand and called it really lovely.
