SpeakerDon't you do it. There we are. Well, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Hash Church, episode 20. And probably a few of you have noticed that I'm a little bit late getting started. Just about to send the morning email off here, which isn't really morning anymore. We'll go John B, see if D420K wants to come in. Oh, I forget, I forget. Todd McCormick, Tony, who else? Who else?
SpeakerIt's hard to remember who to, let's see if Clear Dome wants to come in. Maybe David Allen wants to come in.
SpeakerMaybe Mark. Hello, how are you? I think that'll be enough for now.
SpeakerGet this started. Oh, and there's another one. Boom. Barry.
SpeakerAll right. Well, I'm going to start Hash Church off with a rip because I just got off of a four-hour flight from Jamaica, cleared customs nice and quick, and now I'm ready for my sacraments, my Sunday sacrament. Let's blow smoke towards the Vatican. Maybe that'll help burn it down.
SpeakerLet's see if we're going to get any guests in here today. It's pretty late to be sending out the link. Oh, there we go. There's Johnny B and Terp. Dave is over at Johnny B's. How's it going, Flav? I'm good, brother. How are you? How was your trip? I'm doing good. Hanging out with Claude. Oh, nice. What's up, brother? All right, Johnny B. Hey, Bubbles in the house.
TrueJohnny B. Dave will be pulling out some insane pipe.
SpeakerSo good to see you guys. Yeah, man. Good to be seen. It's cold here, man. It is winter. Is it? You shaved. You look younger. I just left. Yeah, I shaved so I look like 20 years younger from my old man, bubble man videos that I did in Jamaica.
SpeakerYes, I watched Puff Wednesday. Welcome, True. Hey, bro. Good to see you. Glad you could make it. I enjoyed watching... I enjoyed watching you do dabs at the Ben and Jerry's. Yeah, man, that was awesome. Ben and Jerry dabs.
TrueAs I was torching my rig, and he just looked, and I guess the more casual you act, the less chance of anyone saying anything, and he just carried on about his job.
SpeakerTotally, dude.
TrueEmpty store.
SpeakerI agree with that.
TrueLate night, empty store, a bunch of dabs. Yes, sir. I have the wrong phone.
SpeakerJust kind of putting the email to a few more people. I always forget who to invite. Like I don't have a list of people to invite. Well.
SpeakerHey, I'm glad we're doing the Hash Church, guys. I'm glad that the few of us. You know we already have 160 viewers? Before we even started up. Before we even started up. We've been chatting since about 7 a.m. There's a lot of good people like Profit Marcus. He's been here since, well, I've been here since last week, but he's been here probably since like 6 a.m. There's a lot of guys in here being really back and forth, good chat.
SpeakerSarah, and then from, yeah, everybody's doing the most, you know, a lot of good stuff going on this morning. Well, I mean, I got here at like 10-ish to get rid of the kayak, and he was typing away already, so... Nice, dude. That's good that you came back. I'm just hitting some D420K New York City Diesel. Oh, you had that in your left-hand trunk. Yeah, I'm leaving things in important places.
SpeakerCheers, brother. Did you like seeing the egg getting puffed in Jamaica, Dave? Oh, dude, that was beautiful, dude. What are they thinking about that down there? Everyone was loving the Fab Egg. I actually took the Fab Egg yesterday to Little Joe's Memorial. Well, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to Hash Church, episode 20. How could that come on that late? Oh, because I opened the chat. Oh, yeah, I should say hi to the chat.
SpeakerHeady, Dark Mata, Prophet Marcus, Blessings, Rastafari, Big Up the Hash Church Goers, Prophet Richard, Brad Richardson, PNW, Joe Ross. I tell food and tell food. I agree, Rastafar. I had a few yesterday when I was at Joe's. Oh, D420K, I'm about to rip a little bit of your sift right here, brother. Just going to tell a little story about you, actually.
TrueOh, yeah?
SpeakerWell, I just got back. Oh, you just got back? I had a lot of good I tell food. Let's hear it. Really good. Let's have a dab. I'm going to need to get that. Picked up. You're back in Canada now already? Yeah. I'm in Toronto. Like I go to Vancouver. I know. I know, dude. I'm going in a couple weeks. Are you kidding me?
TrueThat's awesome.
SpeakerIt's a little ridiculous. Things are happening. Things are moving forward.
SpeakerHey Flav, if I leave the smoke in my egg, it looks like yours. Hi John. Hi Flav. What's up brother? Hello Turk. How's it going guys? Hey Rob. I just got off the plane and I'm chain smoking dabs. That's the only way to do it though. My stuff?
SpeakerYeah, I got a little bit of the NYCD right that I left. And then I brought a little bit of some stuff that I cleaned myself before I came, and it literally turned into a chunk of one piece of goodness.
TrueHow old is the cut of that NYCD, Darren? How old is the cut that you got there?
SpeakerYou know what, that cut's actually very new. And I'd say it's not even a... A full year old from seed.
TrueWhat seed from new seeds in, like one of the more recent releases?
SpeakerI don't think he knows where it came from. He said he got it from a Vancouver seed bank, didn't he, Dan? It was from a Vancouver seed bank down that way. I don't know exactly the place, but I will find out, because it's a guy that has it that, you know, the guy basically... Had all the help in the world and the friends in the world, but needed to be on his own still.
SpeakerSo we let him go on his own. And he's a bit of a cunt. Because of the successes that we have had that he walked away from, he has a sore bum over his decisions. And it's hard to get anything out of him. But what we are working on is we do have someone that is in with him that we're getting a clone from eventually. And it's just a matter of time.
SpeakerAnd we can find out where the seed company he got it from and all that real soon as well. I'll fill you in on it. But one of those guys that's just sore bummed all the time because it's not working in his favor.
TrueI've run New York City Diesel from Soma and it just doesn't perform like how it used to. The old ruby red grapefruit characteristics just aren't there in the actual flowering. It works well in the cross and it goes awesome when you use it to breed with as far as Using it for extraction smoke on its own doesn't give me what I want from what I remember of the old New York City diesel, so I'm always on the lookout for a good Ruby Red.
SpeakerWell, you know, I've been told by, I think, Mark and John, that that diesel reminds them of the Soma old-style New York diesel because the other... Yeah, I had mentioned it, for sure. I gave Flav a hit of it yesterday in that pipe and there was just one left and I actually saved it and I gave it to Dave. We're all concurring that that particular scene or whatever, it's a nice one.
SpeakerIt's just the flavor that is, it's not the big... It's just Terpzilla to be honest, to be honest, true. It's very Terpzilla-ish-esque, like it's... Callie O. Ask, Julie Bean Ask, Tangy Ask, Super Orange Citrus. And I can attest because I was actually at Soma's 11 or 12 years ago when he had that strain. And that's what I'm testing it to. Not like some seed that I years later, but literally from Soma at his house the year he released it.
SpeakerIt's like it.
TrueYeah. It's one of those standout strains that kind of has your lips smack in, coats all the lining of your throat, and you find yourself having a drink of water and still you're like, I can taste that.
SpeakerWell, you know, just before I got some Dizzle right here, I'm going to do, and my mouth is watering, literally.
TrueYeah, that's it. It's one of those, straight up. You can feel it just like right down here. Yeah, I know. I love that. It's beautiful.
TrueWell, I'm going to have to try and restart my computer. I'm jacked. I've got another thing of the Terpzilla, Mark. See you guys later. I've got another thing of the Terpzilla that you need to try. I'm going to get that one out soon as well. A much more tropical, fruity kind of version that goes away from the citrus and more of a tropical fruit. It reminds me of an old fruit drink we had in the UK called Umbongo.
SpeakerYou ever come to B.C., Turp?
TrueI haven't. I've been to Calgary one time back in like 2007 and I must attest to Canada it was one of the easiest places and best quality weeds I got and I got it within like two hours of me being there. I just walked down the street in Calgary, walked past a shop where the guy was blowing glass in the window and within half an hour I had a half ounce of Legends Ultimate Indica and a half ounce of Super Silver Haze.
TrueAnd it was beautiful. And everything I tried in Canada was good.
SpeakerYou should try to come for 420 out here.
TrueYeah, I'm going to hopefully this year is going to be the one I'm going to try and get back over that side of the world. Got too many good friends out there and too many fun things to not come over there.
SpeakerYeah. Well, Prince George, we don't have much of a 420 day up here. There's a small gathering, but it's not much. We're We're limited up here for people, right? But Vancouver, what a fucking gathering, man. Like, I've never been to it, and I'm going this year no matter what.
TrueWe have the largest 420 of 2013.
SpeakerAnd 2014, we moved on to the street. And this year, for 2015, I do know there will be two stages, guys, one on each side of the art gallery. The whole street will be shut off. I was at the meetings talking about it with Cannabis Culture and Jeremiah and them the other day on Thursday. So it's going to be really exciting for this year's 420. 100% Vancouver is going to step it up.
SpeakerA lot of big people. It will be really cool. I can't say too much, but really looking forward to this year 100%. I know I'll be talking with Mark and there'll be a, well I know Matt Tanner and Bubble Man will definitely have a, will have a nice big booth there along with some other people. It's going to be quite an event for sure this year. It'll be really good to see what's the turnout and of course just what's happening here in Vancouver.
SpeakerWe've got over 71 Compassionate Clubs in Vancouver and it's growing so it's New Cannabis Culture Vapor Lounge opening up, so it'll be number two. And then I know there's more coming, so there's a lot of exciting things happening actually here in Vancouver. It's like Amsterdam. Cool stuff. You know what? The world's waking up and what's happening in the courts, what's happening in Jamaica now and everywhere else.
SpeakerGood things going on, guys. Fuck yeah. Where'd Mark go? Well, Mark's having computer problems, so I think he logged off for a second, so I guess we're kind of running house here, and, you know, I'm just looking at the chat and seeing what everybody has to say, and everybody's just talking, and not really too much going on. Is this... I know, I'm pretty excited. Last week we did a lot of talking about lighting, LEDs, and the new ceramic HID bulbs and stuff like that.
SpeakerYeah. And I did a lot of talking after in chat, and True was there, he listened in on it, eh? And it was very interesting talking about the difference with frequency and how the new light bulbs like HID, HBS bulbs, more like 8-track and DVDs, and just slowly things are changing with lighting and stuff like that. Different waters, saving on hydro, more light spectrum, better gland heads, healthier plants.
SpeakerThere's some really good stuff going on out there. Just exciting, you know? I'm seeing this happen slowly and surely. It was nice to be able to run the first test groom and now it's going to be about power consumption and it's going to be about heating and stuff like that, so exciting.
TrueAnyone who hasn't seen the episode last week and wants to get some real science on the whole LED, you should really check that out because it's something that I've kind of looked into in bits and pieces and it's so hard to get any real facts out of anyone who seems to have We were talking so much after. We were in talk for about two hours after Hashtagism.
SpeakerIt was you, me, Brad, and what was the other guy's name? I just forgot briefly. I don't know why.
TrueYeah, Brad was so, so passionate and really, really knew his stuff.
SpeakerBut it's really interesting when they start talking about how frequency and how life works within the plant and how what he's saying, only 18% of it is actually only efficient. Definitely you guys have to check out Hastrich and listen to him from last week because it was great. The LED light, how much was the LED light? Well, they're roughly here, they're about $1,300 Canadian. I know they're $1,200, $1,260 or $1,180 US on the websites down in the US.
SpeakerBut now we've got to take a look at how the bulb is in itself. So it's more efficient. We're getting better spectrum. We're getting a bigger, nicer gland head. We're getting more bulbous. It's definitely a healthier looking plant. We're saving in hydro. We're getting full spectrum. We're getting better medicine. So, I mean, when it comes to the yield and stuff like that, the video is being done.
SpeakerI've worked on it. I'm going to be talking with Mark more about it when he lands here next week. So we can properly separate the gland heads. I've now located some instruments for having.
