BubblemanAll right. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome everybody to episode 103. That's C111 or C-I-I-I, Roman numeral. Anyway, here we are. We're going to rock it out. I'm going to send out the links here real soon. Put on my headphones so we don't get any feedback because I know everyone loves the feedback, but we're going to have to avoid that today. Let's get these links sent out to our community.

BubblemanLet's see what we got.

BubblemanNew message going out. Not on that one. Where did you go? Where did you go? Ah, here we go. I got lots of boxes open. Okay, so let me send this off to these guys. Send a quick one off to Mr. Indra. And I think that's about all I have to do today. We're missing Etienne today, so the person that would have jumped in the earliest, he is not going to be here today.

BubblemanI believe he's in New Orleans for some amazing jazz and some football. He's going to be doing so. Just make sure that I got everyone invited here properly. Yeah, 255 people. Good morning, everybody. Man, all sorts of different. Yeah, it's all me today. Exactly. When ATN doesn't come in right away, it's a little bit nerve wracking. I usually have someone to talk to already. And yes, this is September 11th.

BubblemanIt's quite the anniversary here. We'll be talking about all sorts of things today, including that Hamilton teacher who's been jailed in Abu Dhabi. Stony Creek woman is in a notoriously overcrowded prison in Abu Dhabi after airport screeners found traces of cannabis in her bag. Pretty scary stuff. Hey, welcome, wood thrush.

BubblemanYou hear me, bud?

BubblemanHe's getting his shit together. So anyway, we're going to be talking about a little bit about that. I know Todd McCormick posted the thing earlier. Welcome, Wood Thrush.

BubblemanYou there, bud?

BubblemanCan you hear me? I got no sound. Oh, I can hear you.

Wood ThrushI can hear you.

BubblemanHe's going to be working out his... Yeah, I can't hear anything yet.

Wood ThrushHold on just a sec.

BubblemanDefinitely helps to be able to hear, that's for sure. See where the crew is in here today.

SpeakerYeah, it has been a long time.

BubblemanWell, why don't we start right off the bat with blowing smoke signals to the Vatican. That's an easy start as I hear the train beeping in the background of Wood Thrush's mic. I'm going to mute Wood Thrush because he's... Kind of coming out with a little bit of weird sounds right there. Oh, he's muted himself. Perfect. All right, so let's start off with a little dab, dab, dab-a-doodle.

BubblemanA little bit of rosin mixed with some super high-end bubble hash. Get a little mixy mix, and I'm going to do a little dip as well. We'll see if our panel will make its way in here eventually. So far, it's me and Wood Thrush, and That's cool. As long as he could hear, we could actually have a conversation. So I'm sure once I dip this hash into these orange creamsicle terpenes, everything will be okay.

BubblemanHope everyone's been doing good. We had a great conversation today in the chat. Someone asked, and the chat's moving pretty quick right now too. Let me see. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da. Yeah, we had a good conversation going on in the chat room earlier on. It was getting a little bit out there. A lot of conspiracy information was getting passed on. And who's all going to the Lyft Expo?

BubblemanYes, the Lyft Expo is going to be on the 17th and 18th of this month. So next weekend, I believe Friday and Saturday or no, sorry, Saturday and Sunday is actually the dates for that. So that should be good. If you guys are in Vancouver, come on down and check us out. I know there'll be a whole bunch of different people there from activists to dispensary owners to LPs and then all the other people that sort of work in between those two entities.

BubblemanHere we go. Smoke signals. Ah, nice, Mr. Cookie. I'll probably see you there. Although Sunday is Hash Church. I've got to figure out where I can do Hash Church that's close to the event so that I can just be there right away. Yes, that one's next picket, Karma Cup in October. I will be going there as well. I think Johnny B's going to be coming as well.

BubblemanI'm not sure if he's decided to make it or not, but I do believe that he's making it. Should be a good time. See what's going on with all these clowns. Let's see what's going on. Sometimes you got to invite people twice. Make sure everyone's getting the message.

BubblemanAll right. Well, hey, this is Bubble Man Church. You know what? I can do this because I do these long ass by myself live Facebooks all the time. We're just going to have to mix this up. I'm so used to having a panel to speak to. I think it's just going to be me here for a little bit. So let's talk about whatever the chat room wants to talk about.

BubblemanAnd they are moving right now. Indeed, things are going well. Ready for the message. Time for some dabs. Etienne is at the game. Yeah, in New Orleans. That is correct. Oh man, can you ask Andrew to talk about the trichome separation technique using frequencies or static was mentioned before. He said he would. He has decided to keep that to himself for now. Believe it or not, but by all means continue to ask and eventually I'm hoping he's going to share it one day.

BubblemanI can never get people to share their secrets. It's got to be their own choice and of course I urge them and I'm stoked on him to do it, but it's going to be his own choice when he definitely decides to do it. Any news on Mark Emery?

BubblemanThank you for watching.

BubblemanYou know, hopefully good luck to Mark and that everything works out. Can you hear me now, Wood Thrush?

Wood ThrushYes, I refreshed the browser and now it's working fine.

BubblemanAh, dude. Well, welcome, bro. Thank you for sharing this not such an easy day to share. This is a pretty intense memory for you, I'm sure.

Wood ThrushYeah, well, it's an intense memory for all Americans. It's a day that we all need to... To sit back and really remember what happened and what has happened since then and the lives that we've lost. So today's a day of remembrance for me and luckily I have some very nice hash and I get to spend the day hanging out with you guys. So let's blow smoke to the Vatican again.

BubblemanYeah, dude, well, I'm still got my smoke ready to blow to the Vatican, but thanks for coming in here on this. You know, it's a big day for not just Americans, but for people all over the world because it affected everyone, not just, I mean, it affected me. I'm a Canadian, and I was definitely affected by it. Welcome, Skunk Man.

Skunk ManHowdy, howdy.

BubblemanHow you doing?

Skunk ManI'm pretty good. I was just sitting here with Rob Clark, but he had to go home, so I don't think he'll be on.

BubblemanWell, no problem. I was actually talking with Fletch recently, and he was trying to organize a really great hash church that's specifically about growing. And so he had a couple of really good people who were deeply involved in cannabis that he wanted to invite in. I was thinking about yourself and Rob and Chimera. And maybe a few others. It could be a potentially really nice hash church that we could have here in the upcoming weeks.

BubblemanIf Rob wants to be a part of that, I'll definitely send him an email. I know he likes to plan and have the proper panel available to him for the good conversation. So that's something that we've been thinking about to let you know anyway. Yeah, I'm sure you'd have a few things to talk about when it comes to growing.

BubblemanThat's where you say, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Skunk ManYeah, yeah, yeah.

BubblemanThere you go. It's always nice when you take your bong rip and it's just absolute, utter crickets and silence in the chat room.

BubblemanSo what's puffing over there, boys? Me? Well, you, Wood Thrush, the two guys that are in the chat room, yeah.

Skunk ManUh, uh... A bunch of different things. Let me see if there's some. What is this? Pink Kush Rosen. Oh, yeah. Let me see. What is this one? This one is Sour Diesel Mental Floss. Mental Floss. This one is Red Congolese.

SaboShit.

Skunk ManAnd the last one is

BubblemanI forget the names. Oh, shit. It's the amnesia. It's always the amnesia when you forget the name. No, I remember it was amnesia. I'm just joking. But I can say, honestly, many a times. The first time was with Barge, and we had been puffing at Somas, and later I was like, oh, man, that one that he had, what was that? It was so good. Like, it got me so ripped.

BubblemanAnd it was like a half an hour later, we were like, oh, it was the amnesia. Hey, welcome, Johnny B.

Wood ThrushI had some really good Obama Kush a couple days ago. Morning.

SpeakerI had some bit of internet problems this morning. Computer crash and then I had to go squish some resin just for Hash Church.

BubblemanAll right. Well, good stuff. Good stuff. I'm going to puff some resin just for Hash Church. Well, a little bubble hash as well, I think, actually. Don't want the bubble to feel left out, you know.

BubblemanIt's a nice slow start to Hash Church today. I was in here by myself for a few minutes and I was a little bit like, oh, like, Etienne usually shows up within like one minute of me posting the link. So that's always nice. I'm not going to lie. I appreciate Wood Thrush coming in and getting his mic working as fast as he did.

Wood ThrushYeah, I tried to get in when you said Etienne wasn't there. I was like, well, I'm the other vet in the group, so I might as well be there.

BubblemanYeah, dude, absolutely. ATN is off in New Orleans, probably having the time of his life right now.

Wood ThrushHe posted a picture, like, front row in front of a jazz band. I was like, oh, I'm so jealous.

BubblemanYeah, I'm not going to lie. I was as well. I'm a big, big fan of jazz. I used to go to the Montreal Jazz Festival every year, make sure that it was enjoyed by myself and my family. Definitely, yeah. See what's going on.

Wood ThrushHuge fan of live music of any kind.

BubblemanOh, yeah. Jazz is just so awesome to see live because jazz is live. That's what jazz is. You can record it, but it's a live recording.

Wood ThrushIt will be the same again.

BubblemanExactly. That's what I've always loved about it, especially I'm sure being in New Orleans, he's seeing some incredible quality jazz. Hey, can you mute your mic, John, when you're not talking, please?

SpeakerIt is muted.

BubblemanOh, because I can hear you there. Now it's muted. Thank you, buddy. Thanks, brother. It was a bit tricky. Sam, you too, if you don't mind. Yeah, we'll get less feedback if we're all muted up when we're not talking. Welcome, Mr. Scaldone. How was your last week?

Dr Mark ScialdoneHey, Marcus. How are you? It's great. I've Three pretty incredible fish shows. That was a lot of fun.

BubblemanThat's nice, man. I'm jealous of that as well. I haven't gotten to see fish in over 10 years.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, they're really killing it. This year, it's been a great tour.

BubblemanIt looked like a lot of fun. In fact, the picture that you had of you next to that giraffe guy.

BubblemanWas that Henry? Was that Henry to your right from the Waterwheel Foundation?

Dr Mark ScialdoneYes, that's Henry Schwab. Yes, none other than Henry Schwab.

BubblemanOh, shit, I recognized him. You know, the last time I saw Henry was in 1998. I probably saw him after that at some random Waterwheel table, but I actually bumped into him in northern India. And for those of you that don't know who this guy is, he ran the waterwheel table at Fish. Like if you went and saw Fish.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHe started waterwheel.

BubblemanYeah, it was his thing. So if you went to any amount of Fish shows, you definitely ended up meeting and knowing Henry. Oh, yeah. I used to see him in every state, in every province, everywhere Fish went, there he was. And, you know, I remember... Not seeing them for a while and then being in India, in the north of India with a friend of mine traveling and we sat down in this tiny little restaurant, okay?

BubblemanThis goes to show you how small the world is. I sat across from my friend at a two-person table and there was only three people in the restaurant, a couple and one other guy. And we sit down And my friend Alex turns around and looks next to him and the girl that's sitting with the guy at the table next to us is a friend of his and they've been traveling Asia for 10 plus years together and they hadn't seen each other for a couple years so they're having this little experience and me and the other guy are like oh that's weird and we look at each other and I'm like Henry?

BubblemanAnd it's fucking Henry. I was like, dude, I think that it's weird to see you without a water wheel table in front of you. It was definitely very trippy. I mean, it's one thing to bump into someone you know in a country in the north of a big country like India with so many people. But it's another thing to bump into someone you know while the person that they're with knows the person you're with and each other doesn't know one another.

BubblemanIt was trippy.

Dr Mark ScialdoneA whole world away, yeah, a whole world away. Him and his wife, Kate, have a business called Synergy Clothing in Santa Cruz, California. And they sell like yoga pants and all kinds of different fabrics, I think, that are derived mostly from over there in Asia. And so they travel over there all the time. And yeah, they're hardcore fish heads and have been on fish tour for years.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, Kate and Henry.

BubblemanAwesome. Well, shout out to those guys for sure. I looked through the picture and I was like, I'm looking through your picture and I'm like, wow, what kind of a fish head am I that I don't know any of these people? And then I look over and I'm like, oh, wait, there's Henry.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHenry Schwab, yeah, yeah, from the famous Schwab family. I think he's Charles' grandson, I think. Exactly.

SpeakerOr something like that.

Dr Mark ScialdoneBut great, just wonderful human being. I mean, he's a fixture in front of Trey or they're always like right there. They always manage to get right in front all the time. I don't know how they do it. I guess they wait in line or have friends up front.

BubblemanCommitment, Mark. It's commitment. They're certainly not taping fucking tarps down in front of us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, yeah, the whole tarping thing. Well, we did run into, let's see, who did we run into from Hash Church, or recognize me from Hash Church? John Kingston, I think, came up to me and said, hey, man, I see you on church all the time. Let me give you a high five, and gave me a high five. I was there with Kind Bill, who's a legendary hash maker and also a Night before was there with Dave Malone from Green Dot, and he was making some of the hash that I showed last week on Hash Church.

BubblemanA legendary hash maker. What a great tag that is for him to have.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, Kind Bill, I think, totally deserves it, don't you think?

BubblemanYeah, absolutely. It's a great title, and it's definitely well-deserved.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think there, I think maybe Indra. Maybe it only should be reserved for a few select.

BubblemanI sent the link to Indra today. I'm sure we'll see him at one point in time. And Todd, Todd's waking up early or late today. Hopefully everything's okay with him. I know he had some problems. His brother ended up in the ER last church and he had to kind of go for that. So hopefully everything's okay with his brother. Definitely, yeah. Life is tough when our family's going through health problems.

BubblemanThere's no doubt about that.

BubblemanAbsolutely. That's a nice quiet, quiet start to Hash Church today. I'm almost like, yeah, I mean, I'm definitely ready to get into this Hamilton teacher in Abu Dhabi, but I know Todd will want to be in the room to speak about her. It's got to be scary. You know, I've always said to people like when we were traveling in Thailand and If you stayed in Asia for over three months, you needed to get a new visa as a Canadian, I'm sure as an American as well.

BubblemanAnd so a lot of the people would travel down to Malaysia by bus or train and get their passports stamped in Malaysia and that would give them like another couple of months or something to go travel to these other countries. I always avoided it like the plague, you know, I just, I thought that it was a little bit too scary to go over a border that had the death penalty and that had life in prison for getting caught with cannabis or resin and I was definitely, you know, it was all over me.

BubblemanThis woman got caught with remnants which was like too small to weigh, so just probably like the tiniest little fragment of a leaf was found in her bag and now she's, you She's in this pretty harsh prison that's very well known for being overcrowded and all sorts of human rights violations as well. So obviously in the cannabis community, and it should be in any community that you feel for this woman, I mean, she does not fit the stereotype of what people have been trained to dislike in a cannabis user, as in she's not a guy from 18 to 40 years old with dreadlocks that, you know, like wears tie-dye shirt, the stereotype of what you're supposed to hate In a pot smoker, that's what the propaganda pushed for so many years.

BubblemanShe's not any of those things. She teaches. She teaches school.

BubblemanLet me mute you there, Sabo. When you come in, just make sure YouTube is muted, which is a tough thing. Even this morning, I start this chat, and then I have to wait for the YouTube one to catch up. And once it does, it doesn't let me mute before it starts. So until the audio starts, you can't actually mute it. So that's one of my little games that I play every Sunday here.

Wood ThrushWhen I got on Google this morning, there's some new thing that goes directly to YouTube. You might want to look into that. It might fix that problem that you're having. Oh, interesting. It's Google Hangouts, and it said something like direct to YouTube.

BubblemanWell, that's what we're on right now, but because it's a stream, there's about a... I don't know if it's five or ten second delay, but there's definitely a delay, and so... I just need to basically mute it so it doesn't come on the way it did just now when Sabo, who came into the room, hopefully Sabo comes back. That's Sabo Shen from Vape Exhale. He visited me a couple of days ago up here and we did a little video and we hit his unit here, the Vape Exhale.

BubblemanPull it out here. A little Vape Exhale unit right there. I would really like to have one of those. Well, there's definitely something to be said for it, you know. I mean, I am kind of a quiver guy. I'm very appreciative of all the different methods that we have. And as I found myself somehow, you know, defending LPs in the conversation this morning, it gets old because really I'm defending all forms of cannabis access.

BubblemanNot at the extent of anyone having their rights taken away. None of that bullshit. Just I support access to cannabis in the same way I support... Access to properly vaporizing or hitting your cannabis, I think it's a very important part that what you experience your resin or your cannabis through can decide the quality of that experience depending on how good of a unit that you're using. People ask me all the time, what's your favorite?

BubblemanWell, I don't know what my favorite is. I use my D-Nail a lot. I use this Vapex Hail a lot.

Wood ThrushQuality craftsmanship.

BubblemanYeah, I have a sublimator that I use. There's all sorts of different units. When I'm out and about, I like to use the Omicron and the Hercules pen. I like the Grasshopper vaporizer that Vape Fiend does, that titanium vaporizer. And it's for herb, not concentrate, but you know, I'm constantly being asked what units that I like and which one's the best. And I think it's unfortunately the answer that people don't want to hear is it's a lot like a camera.

BubblemanSo you can get your body, but what lens is the best? Well, what lens is the best is the lens that you require for the job or the photo that you're trying to take. So The lenses change. When I'm up on the mountain trying to shoot a snowboarder jumping off a big cliff from quite a distance, I want that 200 to 300 USM. But when I'm shooting that same snowboarder up close for a portrait, I want that 50 mm.

BubblemanAnd those two lenses are about as different as, you know, the vapex hail is from the grasshopper.

Wood ThrushWhen you're talking ceramic, titanium, what surface you're hitting off of? Is it medical? Is it recreational? Like, every one of those questions comes into mind when I'm in the store looking for new surfaces or new devices. It's like, what's the best quality? It's unfortunate that the best quality still has that Prohibition-era price tag attached to it.

BubblemanThat's it right there. Oh, wow. Go ahead, Johnny.

SpeakerI was going to say things are changing as we get more and more access. I'm seeing it when we've seen prices drop in Vancouver, a lot of the bond stores. I was just talking with an OD yesterday and how all the dispensaries in Vancouver have really hindered his business. He's had a low prices, which is getting more better products to the patients and Things are changing. Like I would say, we used to have the big box stores like the Bay and Eaton's and Woodward's that are gone and now all the smaller companies are coming in with better pricing, putting more into their products and getting it more useful for patients and other people who want to be able to medicate with their products and stuff like that.

SpeakerI'm seeing a good change and it's awesome that We're able to access all of these great devices in all different communities, whereas before you had to drive all the way to Vancouver to find anything to smoke, where now there's four or five dollars in Amsterdam.

BubblemanBecause of the access. This is the access that is happening. I talked to Jeremiah and Jody about this the other day at Cannabis Culture. If you don't mind just muting your mic, John. You have a loud microphone. It picks up every little bit of sound that you make with your arms and stuff. Thanks, brother. So I was talking to Jody and Jeremiah the other day, and I actually said it to Jeremiah.

BubblemanI said, you know, we've been fighting. Well, Jeremiah maybe hasn't been fighting for 20 years, but he definitely has been fighting for the last five to 10 years that he's been down there hard. And Jody's been fighting since she showed up and Mark long before that. And all these people have been fighting. We're fighting, right? And so what I said to him, I was like, man, you know, like we've acquired and achieved quite a bit in all of these, you know, where we produce industrial commercial hemp that we ship around the world.

BubblemanWe produce cannabis, both personal for medical, like MMAR style. We have the MMPR style. And now we have this new one that's sort of trying to put the two together. So we have these wins that we've acquired. But John, do you remember celebrating at all? Or are we like, it seems like everyone's so busy fighting nonstop that we don't even take a two minute break. I mean, I know we celebrate each other winning cups and stuff, but have we celebrated all that we've accomplished in this community over the course of the last 20 years?

BubblemanI just don't remember ever having, like we just won the coalition. That was a huge deal. And people are just like, eh, I can't, I still can't sell it for profit. It's like, oh, shit, like, man, okay, well, I know we have more fight to fight. I'm not saying that we don't, but damn, if we shouldn't celebrate a little bit.

Wood ThrushMarcus, we celebrate every day. I celebrate with this oil that I get to vaporize. That is my celebration. Getting to grow plants without worrying about a cop coming and cutting them down, that's my celebration. Getting to work in the garden every day. So I celebrate every day. We have to remember and think about when we're celebrating.

BubblemanI would just like, I mean, I know 420 is the big celebration, so that's awesome. I just, I know that when we got hemp growing in Canada, there was no celebration. When we first got the ability to grow cannabis as like an exemption 56, there was no celebration. When then all of a sudden we got the right for more people to grow and get licenses, there was no, and I understand, I do celebrate as well in that same way every day.

BubblemanAnd it's a big deal. And I know that it's still, Thank you so much for joining us.

SpeakerIt was probably the biggest one in history for Canada for patients as we continue to grow our own for the rest of our lives. And you know what? I got together with Jason, me and Jason, this whole thing all started back in 2012. For the first time yesterday after the win, and we actually had dinner and we didn't even really talk about it. We were just, we were talking more about, okay, how can we get more for dispensaries to sell?

SpeakerHow can we get more going so I can sell this? We've got to start collecting so we can continue doing what we're doing. And I made very mention, I said, there's ways of going about this. There's different laws and there's different ways that we can actually start accessing. And this law is already set in place. With even like a tobacco license enables you to sell a scheduled to drug or a dangerous good from tobacco to lighters.

SpeakerThere's certain things that I'm looking at that things have to change with an industry. We're going to start getting more access, but a lot of the people that have been growing and selling on to dispensaries and stuff like that are, like you said, they're butthurt that we've gotten our right to continue growing, but they don't have a right to sell it yet.

BubblemanAnd I support selling it. Don't get me wrong. I want people to grow great herb and make great concentrates and be able to sell them. I myself would love, as if I wouldn't want to do that in Canada. And I don't because there's no mechanism for me to do it. And now that doesn't mean that I don't support those who are civil disobedient because that's what gives us the mechanism in the first place.

BubblemanBut we have to be careful that civil disobedience doesn't turn into the undermining of a program made for patients. And that's kind of what happened with the MMAR. It was a patient program that got undermined by people selling for profit. Now, I fight for their rights to sell for profit, but behind the right of the patient to get cannabis medically, you know, and the person to get it recreational.

BubblemanTo me, those are the two most important things. I want recreational and I want medical. And then right behind that, by all means, make as much profit as you like. Obviously, I could be selling my brand here in Canada and profiting from it. I'm not.

Speaker100% you can be selling bubblegum brand here and you don't do that because there's not a system that allows us to do that yet. And hopefully in the future we might see this, but as it stands right now, I can grow my own, I can access it, I can make my own resin. I just can't sell it, which is okay. You never sold it anyway. You know that.

SpeakerI gave it away.

BubblemanThis guy's taking his whole crop and bouncing it over screens. It's like anyone that sells cannabis, their soul cries when they see us do that. It cries. It just weeps. They're like, how can you do that?

SpeakerYeah, I take full bugs that are beautiful and I just like squish them. I'm like, what do you do with the rest? I'm like, I just like make something with it later. This is what I want. This is what works for my condition. The concentrates is what I fight for so much because that's what helps me every day. And I see that. It's something that LPs can't do right now and hopefully in the future we'll see more access when it comes to seeing hashes and trices and stuff.

Wood ThrushAnd John?

SpeakerOh, go ahead, Wood Thrush.

Wood ThrushThe amount of flour I would have to smoke To meet my medicinal needs? Impossible. It would make me sick. It would make you Remo. I like my lungs fresh and I like to be able to go running. I like to be able to jump on my bicycle and go ride five miles. You can't do that if you're taking bomb rips all day long.

BubblemanSo I have a question for you, Johnny B, because someone says, and for LPs to not try to monopolize the market and fight small producers and home growers, that's what makes it hard to support LPs. Do you think that most LPs are against home growers, John, like from the ones that you've personally met?

SpeakerAll the ones I've personally met and talked to without being in facilities like yourself. They're all supportive of me being able to continue to grow my own. They're like, that's awesome. We may get one or two bad apples, and that's like jerking and driving some assholes out there. We get some bad people, but overall, all of the people I've talked with in the industry, they support it.

SpeakerThey're so happy I continue to grow my own. They're so happy that the system is moving forward. But there's only a fraction of people in Canada that are able to grow their own. What about the other 80% that can't and need access? Well, now they have that access and that's so important. They're getting something they know is standardized, clean, and safe. Because honestly, I got a lot of friends that grow their own.

SpeakerI'm not going to smoke their weed.

SpeakerWhat happens? There's mold, there's issues, and they don't care because it's a profit for them. So they're going to get through what they do. Me, I have a bad crop. I have to cut it down because that's my medicine. That's what I'm going to take from my condition. And I'm not going to smoke a bunch of chemicals or a bunch of stuff that I, you know, like we, it's a system that's changing.

SpeakerWe're seeing great access for patients and we're seeing other people that are Hey, you know what? We need more access. We're going to start seeing it. It's really in the air right now. We're still waiting. I'm waiting on Health Canada to send me a letter stating what just happened in the court. Until such time, all of the stuff, the rumors that I'm seeing in newspapers is not in print until a letter comes to my door stating what I can do next because I used to have a license.

SpeakerThat's what I'm waiting for right now. Health Canada has to send me a letter telling me what I can do next and not what I'm hearing on the news and on social media.

BubblemanYeah. Well said, Johnny B. Well said. I lost the chat room, unfortunately. Oh, there it is. It's back up. Yeah, I just, I like the different perspective. I mean, one lawyer from one LP says the wrong thing in the media and that makes it so every single LP is against home grow. That's a generalization and that's dangerous. And if we did the same thing with dispensaries and chose the worst dispensary, we would say all dispensaries should be closed because they're selling BHO soup.

BubblemanIt just wouldn't be realiztic and it wouldn't be true. I'd like to welcome Sabo to the chat room. How are you doing, buddy?

SaboHey, good morning. I'm doing well, thank you.

BubblemanExcellent. You know, we had a question, and not to start you off and make you sound like a total salesman, because that's not what Hash Church is about, but someone literally asked the question, why is your unit better than the other units? And I bet you have a good answer for that, whether it's answering that exact question or answering it in the way that I know you will answer it.

BubblemanThe floor is yours, my friend.

SaboThank you very much. So I think, you know, what you were talking about earlier about having multiple quivers, it really resonates with me. So, you know, what makes it better? Well, you know, it depends on what you're really looking for. But there's two different methodologies to consuming concentrates. You know, one is a hot surface, which is the titanium or ceramic nail. Or you could put it into an e-cigarette where it sits on the atomizer.

SaboOr you could use a device like the VapeXL EVO, which uses the hot air to melt down the concentrate and turn it into a vapor. Each methodology has its own pros and cons. I believe that the hot air extraction allows you to melt down and apply the heat in a gentler, more efficient, and thorough methodology so that when you are using something like the terpenes, something with a high Thank you for joining us today.

SaboWe've come a long ways with the Evo and hopefully with the next versions that we come out with we can dial it in even further.

BubblemanThat's great. Yeah, I remember you mentioning it in regards to the comparison of the torch. This is definitely more of a younger man's game. I kind of held back as long as I could, but it became quite convenient in my quiver for when I was out and about, or I guess I should say out in a boot, because apparently that's how Canadians talk, at least on South Park anyway.

BubblemanSo when I'm out in a boot in the world, you know, I like to have the access of a quick dab through the honey bucket, you know, got the mothership honey bucket here. Got the brothership honey bucket here. And it's a nice, convenient way to have a quick dab, but definitely going to a party with a bunch of people in their 40s and 50s and pulling out a torch becomes less conducive to, you know, even for instance on live chats like what we're doing right now, I love a silent unit.

BubblemanThe sound of this getting lit up It is loud through the microphones. It gets picked up and it definitely leaves burn marks on your arm when you go to reach over the burning torch and grab your bomb. So I appreciate the different quieter units, the e-nails, the vape exhale. Yeah, they definitely, like you say, they have their place in the quiver. For me, having this just sitting right here and turned on with my little...

BubblemanQuartz Rods. Sabo was kind enough to bring me this cool little guy right here. I got my Terps. Tony gave me this for the Terps. And Sabo gave me this. And the vape exhale fits right into here. So this is a pretty important component if you're going to be using a vape exhale. You need to be able to put these things down once they're hot and you've just finished using them.

BubblemanSo definitely loving on that for sure.

SpeakerAnd Terps.

SaboHey, not to get off topic, but Eugene Monroe saw the video that you and I made earlier, and he said that's the piece that he wanted, the mothership that you were using. I told him it was a Taurus, and he went online, and he said, hey, it's called the brothership, and I didn't have an answer for him why it was called the brothership. All right.

BubblemanThank you so much.

BubblemanDeppie linked up with them and he kind of, he, they created another company, a secondary company called Brothership. And I guess the Brotherships are the, the more inexpensive units from the Mothership. So you can pick them up for still not that cheap, like eight or 900 bucks, but.

SpeakerBrothership, just like the Taurus and it's, it's a thousand dollars and it looks, it looks, yeah, exactly. And I had a few people hit this and said it's almost the same, but of course the original mothership hits a little bit differently, but definitely very similar. Yeah. Very much like, and every one I saw of the brothership, every tour they had, they had six of them, were all a little different.

SpeakerThey all had a little, this one was a little bit wider, this was a little bit thicker, and this was bottom. So they're all Individually unique again, but of course more access and more better for people to access better prices than the knockoff ones that we're seeing that are so cheaply made. They're so thin glass and they're like $200, $300, but at least the brothership still got some weight behind it, some power.

SpeakerNice.

BubblemanThat sound of your nail going back into the vestibule scared me just a little bit.

BubblemanOh yeah, it's ceramic. Nice. I'm less worried about the ceramic than titanium. Titanium always scares me going into... No titanium in any of these.

SpeakerI can't do that.

BubblemanYeah. I have the drop down for that very reason because my sapphire is a titanium base. So this gets pretty hot. This doesn't get hot at all. So all of this talk of pipes, I think I'm going to get my vape XL going.

SpeakerI actually have a drop-down for this particular unit. I have drop-downs for my D now and something for the quartz bowl and stuff like that, but not for this. So I was a little scared about putting it directly on here because, of course, with this, this is very hot, but it seems to be holding up.

BubblemanExcellent. Well, dab it up. Dab it up, Johnny B.

SpeakerMorning bras and squishes, guys. A little bit of turb dip. Best way to start hash church.

BubblemanIt's not a bad way to start the day at all. I've got a little bit of rosin that my friend 40 came over and we pressed out of his bubble hash. We were getting 80% returns on this.

BubblemanYou can kind of see the words.

SpeakerI love that. That's awesome.

BubblemanYeah, not bad.

BubblemanWhoo! Who do we got that just came in? Oh, Indra! I like the new avatar, buddy.

SpeakerNice. Good morning. Good morning, everyone. I really like that. Yeah, that's pretty cool. That's a 16-handed Ganesh remover of all obstacles. It's a very rare, hard-to-find one, and I like it. Beautiful. It's pretty cool. I really like it. I like lean up to the screen and take a better look. It's really, really awesome. I went to that temple and you see where his trunk turns up and there's one flower sitting there on the end of his trunk.

SpeakerSo I went to that temple and I bought a hundred roses and From the flower lady there and I wanted to see if I could get any of them accepted by him and when I went to the spot the local priest didn't like the idea that a westerner was going to put flowers on it so there was a cage around it and he locked it and Wouldn't open it up for me.

SpeakerSo I had, and he made me stand back 10 feet from the cage. And so I stood 10 feet from the cage and threw a hundred roses through the bars of the cage, all around his feet, all over his wife and one right on the end of the trunk, which fairly PO'd the Pujari who was there, but it was a great day.

BubblemanThat's awesome. Way to not be policed.

SpeakerYeah, I was just being passive, you know. I try to do that all the time because I think if paying it forward means respecting the other person's face before you make any judgments or before they open their mouth or anything, someone's got to start the meeting or the, Thank you for joining us today.

BubblemanGot some folks chatting about saying hello to you. Many, many people have said hello since you've come in. Just kind of having a really nice, relaxed hash church today on this anniversary of 9-11. Such a crazy event. I was in Switzerland myself at Breeders Steve's facility down in Lugano. We were actually selling some cannabis to an Italian woman who was running a grow shop down there. In the pillowcases.

BubblemanAnd she told me I wasn't going to be flying out tomorrow. She said, no, you won't be flying tomorrow. And I said, I think I will. And she said, no, something happened in America with some planes. And I said, well, I live in Canada and I don't think it's going to affect my flight. But she was right and I was wrong. And that was 9-11.

SpeakerI remember I was walking through Metrotown Mall and it was like, It was like there was a war going on and everybody was looking outside and scared that a plane would crash into something.

BubblemanYeah, pretty crazy day. A lot of people passed away on that day. Someone's mic is very loud.

Skunk ManIs that mine?

BubblemanIt might be, yeah.

Skunk ManWhat are you saying? I just turned it on so I could say something.

BubblemanWell, the floor is yours.

Skunk ManI was just going to say, I was in the air when it happened. I was flying from Amsterdam to Zurich. When I landed, the second plane hit, and everybody just went ballistic. I left later that evening after a business meeting, and they completely, practically strip searched me as I left. I was wearing flip-flops. I mean, I wasn't really dangerous.

BubblemanAs you do.

Skunk ManAnd, yeah, they, actually, I had 20 kilos of seeds, but they waved that right through. That was not the problem. They were just really, really looking for anybody dangerous.

BubblemanOh, shit. Etienne's in the house.

SpeakerMorning, Etienne.

BubblemanDude, that's awesome. Looks like a real football fan. Dude, that's awesome. We're very happy that you came in and said that. We're feeling it. Look at that. The crew is in the house. About to do a little vaping sale here myself. Terp dipped in orange creamsicle because I love that orange creamsicle. So, Sam, you're saying that both you and I were in Switzerland on 9-11?

Skunk ManIs that what? Absolutely true. Yes. I was in Derek and yeah. What can I say?

BubblemanWow. Crazy. Can't believe they let you fly out that night, dude.

Skunk ManNo problem. But I was only flying to Amsterdam.

BubblemanYeah, still. I mean it was less than 24 hours that they grounded like all flights all over the world.

Skunk ManNo, no, it wasn't all over the world. It was America.

SpeakerYeah, it was just North America. They did Canada.

Skunk ManI mean, going to America.

BubblemanWow. I thought, yeah, I was going to say, I thought that they had, I mean, I was going to Canada. I guess that's North America. That counts. But I was not going into America. I just went right to Canada. And they were like, no.

Skunk ManAmericans very cleverly figured that they weren't going to let no Canadian airplanes be flying over, you know, New York City or any place.

BubblemanRight. Because they were getting ready to blame us anyway. It wasn't at our fault or something. We let the... The Terrorists Inn, something like that. I vaguely remember. I'm one of the people that are not really in belief of the standard story that they tell you, but what I do know and believe is that a lot of people lost their lives for no good reason, and that it was definitely a major travesty.

Skunk ManOne thing I know for sure is that when innocent people die because of political actions of somebody who wants to make a loud noise, that's just plain wrong.

SpeakerHey, remember when the Russians shut down the Korean airliner?

SpeakerAnybody?

Skunk ManAbsolutely, I remember.

SpeakerI was on the flight before that. Talk about crapping some bricks when we land it.

BubblemanSo you were on the flight before the flight that they downed?

SpeakerYeah, what happens is when you fly Korean airlines like any other airlines, you first have to fly to their hub. And then you can fly from the hub out to where you were going. And we were going to India on KAL because they had a real deal on tickets. And the flight behind us was the one that got shot down.

Skunk ManYeah, the 747 that got shot down from Indian Airlines. I had flown on it before, but it wasn't like even maybe the same year, but I'd been on the plane.

SpeakerHey, you know that one Shiva, that big 747 that India had that disappeared over the ocean? I was on that sucker twice.

Skunk ManYou know, they say the third time would have been the charm.

Wood ThrushI went to Iraq three times and I'm still here.

BubblemanWell, I'll say this about flights. I've never been more tripped out than when I left Barcelona a couple years ago and got on that German flight, Lufthansa, and flew to Frankfurt. And only two flights left that morning. One was a German Airbus to Frankfurt and one was a Lufthansa to Frankfurt. And we left like 20 minutes after one another. And that one, the guy locked himself in the cabin and flew the plane into the mountain.

SpeakerKilled everyone on board. Yeah, actually, I thought you were on that flight. I remember talking to Darren and we were trying to figure out that you were on there. We're getting a little nervous for you there, dude.

BubblemanYeah, definitely my phone blew up like crazy.

Skunk ManI had already divided up the five kilos of stash you gave to all my friends.

BubblemanAh, Sam, that's what we love about you, man. You keeps it real. But yeah, that was horrible.

Skunk ManThat was a horrible, horrible, scary, frightening thing to just... A bunch of people at the Barcelona event, Cannabis, you know, talked about either being on it or almost on it. Yeah, it was bizarre. Yeah.

BubblemanWhat's amazing is that in the end, I don't think anyone from Spanibus did end up on that flight, whereas on my flight, there was myself, there was Berner, there was like maybe another half a dozen just people that are in the cannabis community that were on that flight, whereas I'd never heard of a single one on the German Airbus flight.

BubblemanSo, interesting.

Wood ThrushIn Iraq on a C-130 is pretty frightening.

BubblemanI can't imagine, dude.

Wood ThrushThey do a combat landing where they drop like 200 or 300 feet. It feels like in a second. And a lot of people don't make it. Their food comes up.

BubblemanRight?

Wood ThrushIt's like a roller coaster that I've never been on before, I'll tell you that much.

BubblemanSo they weren't trying to make you feel all good and relaxed as they brought you down?

Wood ThrushNo, they were trying to get us to the ground as fast as possible without killing us. Right. That's crazy.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo you can kill people over there. That was the theory. Yeah.

Wood ThrushWhich 9-11 started that entire thing, which I'm not very thankful for.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think it started way before 9-11. If you think 9-11 is when that started, I think that's… I was 21 years old.

Wood ThrushYeah.

Wood ThrushIt was the start of my adult life. To me, it was the beginning of everything.

BubblemanI think it's pretty accurate, too, in the sense that it was a massive problem-reaction solution that gave them the ability to do what they wanted to do, or at least the excuse to do it under. And it's unfortunate. It's really kind of fucked up that there's this sort of thing.

Wood ThrushLots of money disappeared. Lots of money disappeared that day.

BubblemanWell, just the day before, Rumsfeld announced $2.6 trillion were missing from the Pentagon. The day before 9-11. That was on 9-10.

Wood ThrushI bet the building that he counted that money in freaking blew up in the airplane that hit the Pentagon. Right?

BubblemanYeah, it's pretty crazy. It's pretty crazy that it's gotten to the point where, I mean, at least back in the day when they used to do this sort of thing, like with JFK, people were pretty much in belief of the magic bullet theory and whatnot. But it seems today, and I don't know if it's just the crowd I hang out with, it seems like a lot of people question the...

BubblemanThe story of 9-11, the one that's been fed to us. You saw a lot more than most.

SpeakerWell, it's not the question with 9-11.

Wood ThrushThere's a documentary on Netflix talking about basically the creation of ISIS, and I think everybody should watch that. It's pretty scary to see how it was formed and all that stuff, but it's something that everybody needs to understand because They could come here. That's the bottom line. They could come to America if they want to.

SpeakerYou mean they could just buy a ticket actually and show up back?

Wood ThrushExactly. Or buy a big boat, load it with fighters and just come on over. I mean it's definitely something that could happen.

SpeakerI wouldn't expect them to show up in a PT boat or anything off the shore because it's kind of a long trip from Hawaii even, much less where those turkeys are. But yeah, they could fly to Canada and then cross the border.

Wood ThrushMexico is just as feasible. Well, can't you guys build a wall or something? They're building a fence, but it doesn't really do anything.

BubblemanOh, fuck. Hey, you like that one, Mark?

Dr Mark ScialdoneI don't know, man. It's really a sad state of affairs where we're at right here with these two losers running for president. They're both horrible.

SpeakerBernie was the right guy.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHe was the guy for the job, and he got fucking railroaded by the Clinton machine, who if you don't end up dead, you end up out of politics. That's what happened to Bernie.

Wood ThrushYeah, he was just like, that was not a real side of the deal, though.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI'm sorry, what did you say?

Wood ThrushYou got a $600,000 mansion out of the deal.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWho, Bernie? Yep. Okay. I mean, if you think a $600,000 mansion out of what deal? Out of what, running for the president? Is that what you got?

Wood ThrushYep. That was his payoff to walk away.

BubblemanI think his payoff was his life. I don't think that house had anything to do with it. I think he got to keep his life and that was it. That was the payoff. That's right.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat's right. He would have gone the way of Vince Foster.

BubblemanOh, or the other 20 people that have like uttered. Actually, we're probably all going to be killed now for talking about this.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe Clinton Deadpool.

SpeakerHey, hey, come on. You know, I'm still trying to get through this.

SpeakerYeah, I'm going to have to light one up on that one.

BubblemanThere you go. I say that's a good call.

SpeakerLet's do it after all the people that lost their lives in 9-11 and say, you know what, they're part of the people that have shown us the way the world is changing.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, that's the one... Go ahead. No, I was just going to say the problematic thing for our industry is that the call memorandum, which is what's keeping the industry alive today, one piece of paper... Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, but could you see them coming down on the industry as it exists in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon, and Washington DC today? I don't think they can put that genie back in the bottle.

BubblemanI think they could literally crush almost anything but not sick, epileptic, seizing children. I think that one is one they still have not figured out how to, they're like, oh, fuck, this is bad. Like, we can't, how do we like, it's like trying to argue with your pregnant wife. She holds all the cards. There's nothing you can say. You lose already.

Wood ThrushAnd this is the same argument that they're having with these children, and it's like... Veterans with PTSD and opiate addiction being completely cured, 25% decrease in painkillers in states that have legalized medical marijuana. You can't deny those numbers. No, you can't.

BubblemanYet they still do, which is incredible. And even recently... Go ahead, John.

SpeakerThe real thing is, what's going to prevent it from happening in that way is that the politicians aren't about to let go of this new cash cow. And a lot of them are raking it. And they're making it and they are getting donations from people who have made money in the pot industry. And they've looked at this as a new pasture. They no longer have to go beg Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanWell, Incis just donated $500,000 towards defeating a ballot initiative that would make recreational use of cannabis legal under Arizona law. Now, Incis produces a drug called fentanyl.

SpeakerYeah, nasty people.

BubblemanYeah, they're literally killing people. They're like, they're mass murderers. And these people have now donated half a million dollars to fight an initiative in In Arizona for recreational use, it's just like, if that doesn't piss you off.

SpeakerWell, if they can do that, the pot unions should get together and offset these people because, gee whiz, I mean, it's killing vets every day.

BubblemanYep. And not just vets, it's killing like all sorts of people. A nightmare story that happened here in Vancouver, maybe six months, maybe a year ago, six months. It was a young couple, you know, had a little baby and this was kind of like, it was their anniversary or something and they basically got put together. Put their little kid over at mom and dad's and they were just going to have a night.

BubblemanAnd, you know, whether they ended up with a flap of cocaine or a flap of ecstasy, I'm not sure. It was they wanted to get a little like high school like they did back in the day. And they basically both died instantly upon snorting a line of this stuff. And that's just really like prohibition's fault that, you know, you make drugs so illegal that other people can come Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanYou know, health or best interest.

Wood ThrushThe DEA wouldn't have a job. An entire branch of our government would cease to exist.

BubblemanFuck the DEA. Seriously.

Wood ThrushI'm not saying the DEA is a good thing. I want them to be going too. The fact of the matter is they're part of our government, so they're not going anywhere.

SpeakerWell, they can be defunded. And defunding sounds to me like the way to go because the only way we can actually get hands on those people is by taking their money and their ability to Continue to do so. And by the way, Mark, yesterday in Yahoo on the front page, there were four full-grown adults passed out from fentanyl in a car with a little boy in the backseat staring stone-faced out when the cops found them.

SpeakerThe kid didn't know what to do, but mom, dad, and Two others were all just totally out in the car, so that wasn't the first time. That's happening more and more because this fentanyl is being used to adulterate crappy heroin to make it seem good. And people who are doing that, number one, don't give a shit, and number two, don't know what they're doing.

BubblemanYeah, well, it's scary stuff. I mean, it's definitely affecting young people. Vice did a pretty powerful documentary here in Canada on fentanyl use. And these young kids are so addicted that I didn't realize that fentanyl withdrawal can happen four or five times in a day. You know, whereas a heroin junkie might only feel withdrawal at the end of the day. fentanyl junkies are going like four or five times a day to try and get this shit it's it's pretty nasty shit and you know a dose a dose that doesn't kill you 15 times in a row can absolutely kill you on the 16th time without taking any more which is pretty fucking frightening when it comes to consuming something that's that's that's that's one of the highest opiate lists and

SpeakerAnd I heard that a liter of it went missing from the hospital on the island there in Vancouver. They can't, don't know what happened to it. A liter of fentanyl liquid.

BubblemanThey just caught a kilo of that elephant tranquilizer, W18, corfentanil or something, coronatal. I don't know the exact name of it, but it's a hundred times more powerful than fentanyl. This is the shit that's really killing people because it gets cut into the fentanyl drugs. It's very scary. People should be paying attention to what their children are doing, and it's always the same people who say, oh, we should keep the cannabis away from the children that seem to be facilitating these same children getting benzos, oxycodons, and fentanyls.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, when you're ripping lines of white powder, you have no idea what's in there at all. When you're looking at the plant, and it's growing, and you can see trichomes, and you can see medicine being formed, this is nature's medicine versus some white powder. I mean, I have white powders that'll fucking kill you. You can't just, you don't know what you're doing, and I guess the notion was, again, is that If we take those pills and we crush them up and we bang them and we snort them, we'll get higher.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, a lot of those things aren't formulated to be snorted. They're formulated for oral activity, which means they're mostly packaged in starches and other things, gelatin, to make it pass through the gut and not be deleteriously metabolized. Those aren't the type of things that need to go up your nose. It's just, it's crazy. And again, yeah, you're putting a large dose of a very, very potent analgesic into your bloodstream in the neighborhood of your brain.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd it's surprising that there's not more overdoses. To snort that stuff is absolutely fucking crazy.

BubblemanLooks like Wood Thrush is getting ready to hit it up.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHey, can I ask Mark about that device that you were smoking out of? What temperature is that thing heated to?

BubblemanWell, you know, that is one thing that I would personally love to know. I'm sure that in his newer unit, he's coming out with a digital readout, but he's got like, he's got like a little, just a little dial.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight.

BubblemanThat can go like, you know, from like seven o'clock to five o'clock. So it doesn't quite do...

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo that little tube, the little tube that you have to dab in fits into that device and that's where it's heated up?

BubblemanYeah, these little quartz tubes just slide right into this unit. Just slide in. And then you can put either... He's got a really cool pipe design that goes right over top of it.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOh, cool. That's neat.

BubblemanYeah, it's got like a little hole and it's a nice bubbler.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo that's what was whistling before when you were taking a hit.

BubblemanYeah, that's why. Someone was like, mute your mic. I'm like, oh yeah, sorry dude. Got the headphones on. I'm muting, I'm muting.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhistle while you turp.

BubblemanYeah, exactly. It's got this, that's where it's whistling right through the bottom. It's just a straight tube and on the inside of the tube there's a heater. So it's convection. The heat is gentle. It preserves terpenes for certain.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd so what, there's a coil that surrounds the well where that thing fits into? Is that what it is?

BubblemanI've never taken one apart and looked inside of it, but I want to, and I'm sure Sabo could tell us about that if he's still listening and he's around. I'm not too sure. But there's 800 people watching that might have an interest in knowing as well. And Tony is telling me that I spaced sending him the link today like an idiot. So he's going to try and jump on later.

BubblemanHe split when he never got the link this morning. He was like, fuck Bubble Man.

SaboI'm like, no, dude, I forget.

BubblemanI forget. If I ever don't send the link, it's because I forget.

SpeakerBut fuck Bubble Man. What's that, Johnny? This is because, I mean, you're sending out links to like, you know, 30, 40 people you try to plant links.

BubblemanIt's too, it was too much this morning. I waited too long. I waited until like five minutes before and was like, holy shit, like I gotta, I gotta send emails and Skypes and I gotta open this and that and it all got done. But I apologize for forgetting you, Tony. I'm sure.

SpeakerSo you're saying you slept in and you were nice and relaxed and you're hanging out with your kids as well.

BubblemanNo, I was actually up at 7.30 talking about conspiracy shit in the chat room for this yet-to-be-gun live stream.

SaboNice job.

BubblemanYeah. So, geez, I don't know how it would compare to the volcano. The volcano's never given me vapor rips like this with concentrates.

SpeakerI've got a volcano sitting in my kitchen. I do turn it on almost in a while now still, and there's nothing like... All the new stuff is there. It's just the Volcano is still a little device, but everything else is more of a bong right now.

Dr Mark ScialdoneBut Volcano is for flour, not for turps, right, or oil?

BubblemanWell, they always had a hash application, but it was a little bit too much. It was this Brillo pad made of titanium wire that would conduct heat. So whatever temperature you blast it into there, It would make it a hotter temperature by the time your rip was reaching your lungs. So great for flowers, definitely not shitting on the volcano. It's one of the first units that really broke us away from the joint or the torch.

BubblemanIt was different. It was like people were seeing something that was no longer what they construed. There was no prohibition or propaganda against Thank you so much for joining us today.

Dr Mark ScialdoneA dose chart based on that? I don't know.

BubblemanWell, the only accurate way to do it would be to potentially like, I mean, a lot of that, those cannabinoids will get, will be in that machine. They end up staying behind. They're not, like if you tested almost any component of the machine, even after a rip, you would find a percentage of these terpenes and cannabinoids present probably all the way from the bag to the chamber and even inside the machine where it fell a little bit.

BubblemanSo that'd be a tough one to figure out.

SpeakerWe actually did, I did some of this probably back in about 2007. We tested the different like levels, three, four, five, and we burned it for a certain amount of seconds, and it was all bad, and Dr. Hornby, and we did preliminary experiments with Volcano, and it's on some forms, and it was like a thousand volts worth of testing to see how things were decarbonized, where things kind of burned off, and I should dig that up.

SpeakerIt was quite an interesting thing we did. We were curious. And that's how we were able to determine what, you know, level nine was burning everything off. We're at level four. We're getting more of a terpene hint. You can see what was left behind. I can't remember the exact results. I will dig it up and post it in Rehash Church, which I finally like. But it was a lot of fun.

BubblemanWe did it a long time ago.

BubblemanExcellent. Yeah, post that up and people can check it out on the Hash Church forum in the Facebook there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo Marcus, with the vape exhale, you could only use a liquid? You couldn't use like a solid hash? You can use a solid hash, yeah. Okay, you can, but you'd have to put it down at the bottom of the tube.

BubblemanWell, the tube actually has a little crack in it that you fill with. It's an opening right there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight.

BubblemanAnd that's how you load these tubes. It's quite, I'll show that with the actual camera opener. There it is. Right. See a nice crack in there.

Dr Mark ScialdonePretty easy to load actually. So you could take like a little bit of like a sappy crystal and dish it in there and put it in the machine and it works just fine.

BubblemanYep. I've put pure terpenes in here and I have to admit the one thing for me that the Vapex Hail really stood out was nothing else allowed me to hit a terpene, pure terpene rip as preserved and tasty Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanAnd then a heater around that. There's something going on in the way that it preserves that makes the terpene much, much more enjoyable when hitting it pure. I almost wouldn't even consider hitting pure terps any other way. I find it to be like a waste. Thank you for watching.

SaboYeah, sorry, I have to take care of the kids, but the babysitter's here, so I'm back.

Wood ThrushHell yeah.

SaboIt's called responsibility. Exactly, multitasking. But in case people were wondering, the temperature range on the vape exhale, the lowest setting is 225 degrees, and the highest setting is 500. The middle position is 350 degrees, so you could kind of adjust up and down based on your preference for flavor and taste.

BubblemanAnd Mark had asked what the heater is. Is that like intellectual property or is it like, what's the heater that heats around the glass tube in there?

SaboWe utilize a stainless steel coil heater made to our specific specifications for this application. Cool.

BubblemanVery cool, very cool.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo there's no contact between a glowing nichrome heating element and the oil itself?

SaboNo, you could actually look right down the center of the device and see that it's 100% glass. So that's one of the cool parts about being able to You know, be able to show the air path without having to take apart the machine which was something I thought was really important when designing this device because a lot of vaporizer manufacturers will say that they are using safe materials and have a really pure air path and then Thank you for joining us.

SaboFor people's health, and we are promoting a safe, effective delivery system, I thought it was very important to be able to not just talk about it, but to be able to show the air path being all glass as well.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHave you looked to see if it generates any CBN, or if you're seeing any CBN in your residue that's left in the cartridge itself?

SaboYou know what's interesting is we are about to conduct some of these tests. So as you can imagine early on as a small company we're just in survival mode to be honest. You know trying to make sure that we could sell enough units to keep the lights on. Now that we've gotten to this next stage of the company we absolutely want to start running these tests and as a matter of fact I just got in touch with Normal.

SaboWith the individual that did the original volcano study and he was very interested in utilizing the Evo in their next round of studies. So now we'll have some empirical data to be able to back up some of these claims that we are, well, we're not really making any claims to be honest, but having some empirical data to say, yes, this device produces a higher vapor to smoke ratio than other vaporizers will be very beneficial for someone like myself and our company.

BubblemanWell, I just go by the bioassay myself and it sure gives a killer rip. I'll tell you, turning it up, it gives a crazy rip. I like the low temp rips, but every once in a while I'll turn it up to like a little over halfway and just get like a two thumbs up for two tears down rip, as I like to call it.

SaboThat's the best part. You know, I typically, I've been utilizing your methodology, which is almost at the lowest setting, and I've been really enjoying those, but last night when it was Friday, or wait, it's Sunday, sorry, two nights ago, Friday night, had a long week, so decided to turn it up and, you know, do one of those two thumbs up, two cheers down, as you just described, and had a wonderful evening with my wife.

SaboNice. That's the way to do it right there.

BubblemanI'm going to get ready to hit one right now, actually.

SaboI hate to make this a commercial about vape exhale, but my wife and I, we've been together for 10 years, and one of the stories I like to share is for the first seven years of our relationship, she was primarily a drinker. She didn't consume any cannabis, although she didn't mind that I consumed cannabis. After I created this device, she decided to give cannabis a try, and now she's given up drinking, and she has a vape exhale on her side of the bed, too.

BubblemanOh, shit! That's awesome, dude. She has a vapex hill on her side of the bed. That's just awesome, dude. If only more people couldn't get that going on in life right there. Less drinking and more vaping. Yeah. Go ahead, John.

SpeakerI'm sorry. My ex was a drinker, and I converted her over to pot, and it cost me thousands and thousands of dollars.

SaboOh, that's funny, dude.

BubblemanI never drank. I never drank. I just, one of the things, I grew up in an incubator of alcoholics. The city just had so many people drank. All my friends at school, everyone just thought it was, it was kind of like the city where it's like, oh, I'm turning 20 next week, man. I'm going to get so fucking drunk. So this is like where I grew up and I just never drank.

BubblemanI always just used cannabis. I never smoked cigarettes. I never drank booze. And I watched it all happen. And I'll tell you, 20, 25 years go by, and you really see how that shit can age you compared to if you just avoid it. It's definitely a worthwhile experience to avoid it.

SpeakerYeah, my next brother, who's eight years younger than me, every time people met us a few years back, They would always ask, how much older is Bob than you? And it used to piss him off because he was eight years younger, but he drank and smoked and his hair was white and his face was wrinkled and my hair was still blonde, eyes still blue, still had all my teeth and the skin was smooth.

SpeakerAnd so people always thought he was much, much older, but all my brothers and sisters went the way of drinking except me because dad poured some gin in my throat when I was eight When he thought I was getting into his booze when it was actually my brother Bob. Anyway, that put me off of it forever. So I was like you, I grew up without it. Awesome.

SpeakerSo I found that link I was talking about. We did it back in like about six, seven years ago. And I kind of posted it there in our chat. And then I put the little title in the house church. But I haven't read the guides. It's pretty interesting about what we were taking a look at. It was kind of cool to do the research too.

BubblemanWill do, Matt.

SpeakerWe'll check that out. It's up there for people to check out.

BubblemanAnd I'm sure some of the people will want to absolutely check that out. It'll be interesting to see more studies done with different units. I think it's great to see You know, I would be bummed if we ever just stopped at one vaporizer and one car and one guitar and one... I like the fact that there's all these different innovators. I look forward to someone displacing everything I've ever done and showing much better ways.

BubblemanLike, it's just... It's easy to be excited about things when you're truly... You just want them to be as good as they can be. Whether it be, you know...

SaboIs that Johnny B's mic again there? Let's see. Sorry, buddy. Let me just mute you there.

BubblemanYes, there we go. I got these headphones on. I can hear really good now, although I can't hear my own typing and my own whistling. So please, when I forget to mute my mic like people have been doing in the chat, just remind me. I don't want people listening to the whistling and the tapping of my keyboards and such.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI always ask about the temperature, Marcus, just because I'm dialed into this boiling point of THC issue that has been perpetrated for a long time. The number that's been widely reported extensively is Mishulam's number that he reported when he distilled THC under vacuum. And that's just different than if it's being heated up at atmospheric pressure. The nomograph predicts that the boiling point of THC is 425 degrees centigrade.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo if your nail is set below that,

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt doesn't make sense physically that you're vaporizing THC.

BubblemanWell, but keep in mind THC is merely one cannabinoid that we're looking for. I know. Terpenes. Right. So I think that's the other thing where we're like getting into temperature is good, but if we're going to compare a certain temperature, we should maybe actually vaporize what it is we're vaporizing and test that and then find out about all these.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo if you could measure physically the amount of cannabinoid now by gas chromatography, And certainly, like you say, by bioassay, I mean, if your nail temperature is set at a particular temperature and you're getting high, That means you're vaporizing THC. And when that number is below 425, I scratch my head. I'm like, how is THC... Now, obviously, when there's a mixture of compounds in there, there could be impact on the boiling point, and how these things decarboxylate and then volatilize might be completely different.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo it just fascinates me, again, when I see low... Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanYou can tell already that the quartz has now taken on the temperature of what's in there and now it's vaporizing it quite more efficiently than it would have when you first put the quartz in because it's cold. Welcome Todd McCormick to the room.

Todd MccormickGood morning everybody.

BubblemanHope everything is going well for you.

Todd MccormickGood morning. Good morning. I've been enjoying low temp dabs more and more and more actually. I've really, the whole concept of saving the flavor is almost, you know, trumps the rest of the decarbolization I guess I missed.

BubblemanYeah, I mean, I don't know. I can just hit as many as I want. I love it for flavor. And I was talking to someone recently about, you know, what is the most important aspect relationship that you have with cannabis or the concentrates next to the effects that it gives you? I promise you everyone's going to say, well, the smell and the taste.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTaste, yeah. Do you see a lot of residue left on the nail and a lot of residue that sort of like burns that doesn't?

Todd MccormickDr. The way I use my denail now is I just leave it up to like a thousand degrees and I turn it on and I let it just cook it all off and then I turn it off and I watch it drop. Instead of using a nail and guesstimating it, I wait until it's usually low sixes into the fives. And then I start hitting it. And then it makes it easier and easier to hit through the hit because the hit's getting cooler and cooler and cooler as I'm inhaling and finishing the hit.

Todd MccormickSo I like it. But then I turn it back on and I get a big, huge pile of smoke from all the waxes and the stuff.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat material is your nail made out of, Todd?

Todd MccormickThis one's silicon carbide, but I was doing it with the quartz and also with the sapphire. But the sapphire decided to fall apart. The sapphire was like, not playing this game. So the quartz did fine. The silicon carbide is like a tank.

Wood ThrushYeah.

BubblemanAlthough, you know, I got one in the mail broken, Todd. And Brian was like, can you send me pictures? Not because he didn't believe me, but he just, he'd never seen one broken. And I sent him the pictures. He said, dude, those pieces will be like the sharpest substance known to man. Like it was, mine was driven over by a UPS truck. And the reason I knew that is because it came with a tire tread across the package.

Todd MccormickThey are incredible, incredibly strong. I've never had one even almost break or anything. Yeah, that's what I've got on it. Yeah, and it's funny. That's what I'm back to it now. Yeah, they're awesome.

BubblemanYeah, good unit right there. I got that one, and then the sapphire is the one that's on my piece. I had mine crack as well. See the crack right there?

Todd MccormickI had mine straight fall apart and I saved it actually for no obvious reason. I'm very glad.

SpeakerMine's completely just fell apart.

Todd MccormickYour sapphire fell apart too, John?

SpeakerNo, my quartz, sorry, completely just, after a while wrapped around that thing here, I took it apart one day and it just kind of just came all in the pieces.

Todd MccormickMy quartz did, has done fine. I have my quartz on my other pipe, but my, but the, this not, and you know what's funny is it was, it broke before I was doing the, the hot up and down, but it just like literally just, just heat just popped, it popped right off. Just, I wasn't, I don't know. Yeah, I don't think, I don't think that's the way to go.

BubblemanI've still got mine. I'm glad it didn't break. I told them right away, oh, it cracked. Mine cracked for, you know, the Sapphire is so delicate. It's like, it's not just your every person's nail head. I mean, I heated mine up to clean it. And then as it was cooling, I just went, like just, dude, the lightest breath. And it just went...

Todd MccormickYeah.

BubblemanIt didn't separate. It didn't separate. It just got a line, and I was like, oh. And it's been perfect. I still heat it up to 1,000 to clean it, and it hasn't had any more problems. I'm waiting one day for it to disengage from the nail and come in and watch it burn a hole in my desk, but it won't be the first time, Todd.

Todd MccormickNo, it won't. The nail that's always on.

BubblemanYeah, my desk has like a gram or two of hash just like melted into it all over.

Todd MccormickYou know what though, since I started using my denail like this though, I don't leave it on anymore. Or if I do, it's on fucking thousand degrees. But normally I'm stoned and turned it off though now. So it's fine.

BubblemanI still have two on. I have a Dabinator and a denail. And I just, one's at a thousand, one's at like 580. And I just unplugged the whip because I hate waiting for the unit to like heat up and cool down.

SpeakerThat's the problem with precious stones. I set them in gold settings all the time. And the latest way I have of setting precious stones like sapphires and rubies is you put the ruby in the mold. The actual investment that you're going to do and on top put a ceramic funnel and put the precious metal in that and then I stick it in a microwave that's turned upside down and the holes, the cooling holes that would go to the inner workings of the microwave are taped off so that no temperature can get in there.

SpeakerAnd turn it on. And the microwaves melt the stuff down around the stone and let it cool in the oven and you're fine. But if you do, like you said, just a slight blowing on one when it's hot and they'll shatter. Shit.

BubblemanCrazy. Melting gold in a microwave.

SpeakerYeah, I would never have expected that. I'm really, like, glad you're talking about that and melting it around gemstones. That's...

BubblemanWe're using a synthetic sapphire like grown in a petri dish.

SpeakerWell, the synthetic sapphires are a little more durable to heat. And I learned that microwave method as a way of making a bubble-free casting because it's a lost wax method where you put the piece of lost wax in the... The watery solution, it all hardens up. And in that particular deal, you put the stone in as well at the same time. And the microwave heats all of it up, melts the gold beautifully.

SpeakerIt all drops down in and cools very nicely and no bubbles in it. So they use it in dental offices these days. I understand that method. Because they developed small enough machines, but I did it with an ancient 1200 watt GE.

BubblemanInteresting.

BubblemanWell, Etienne was in here earlier, Todd, from the football game. That was pretty cool to see. He's doing his thing in New Orleans. I hope he does some live chatting or live Facebook from like some jazz shows.

Todd MccormickThat would be cool. Yeah, he's been a huge fan of New Orleans for a long time.

BubblemanYeah, he looked right at home. He looked right at home. He definitely did not look like out of place at all. I was like, yeah, representing for Hash Church in New Orleans. Yeah, is that what they're called? The Ravens? Then that's who we're voting for. No, the Saints. Oh, the Saints. Well, fuck the Ravens then. No, I don't know. I don't know anything.

Todd MccormickWho are the Ravens? I don't even know them. I can't be mad at them.

BubblemanI think it's Baltimore, actually. Yeah, yeah, Baltimore.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat's where Eugene was, wasn't it? In Baltimore, right? No, the Saints from Oh, When the Saints Go Marching In.

BubblemanMakes sense. Makes sense. I don't think I've ever seen them play football. Can you imagine? I'm not a big organized sports fan. I don't watch a lot of organized sports myself, but yeah.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI sure like to I like to play them. Hash Church has taken the position of football on Sunday now, right?

BubblemanWell, it's Hash Church Sunday, not Football Sunday for me anyway. Oh, George Lopez would like a dab. Sure, George, you can have a dab. Go ahead, have a dab. You guys know that the NFL doesn't pay taxes? They are a non-profit. Wow, how can they profit if they're a non-profit?

Todd MccormickNFL's a non-profit?

BubblemanThat's what Buddy just said.

Todd MccormickGoogle it, man.

BubblemanGoogle it.

Todd MccormickYou know, though, it's really great that all the guys that are really coming out for cannabinoid therapy in the NFL right now. It's huge. I was watching some really incredible videos put out by a voice called Chasing Strains about some of the guys from the Saints trying to find cannabis that actually helps them with what they're dealing with, which is brain trauma, and it's really serious. I mean, I feel bad these guys are having to go through all that shit, but to see them trying to trump it for their own health is really good.

BubblemanWell, I mean, that's one of the reasons Ricky Williams walked away from a multi-million dollar contract, that he wanted to be able to use cannabis. I know Sable's involved with some of those guys at the gym that Ricky just opened and some of the other gentlemen that are part of that, the gym that you can use cannabis at before you work out. You heard of that one, Todd?

BubblemanYeah.

Todd MccormickYes, it's open in here in San Francisco, actually, of all places. Yeah, and I think it's a good thing. I mean, for me, though, martial arts, I started at age 12. And I got to tell you, I think that cannabis has been used in gyms for a very, very long time. I mean, you see the end of Pumping Iron, it's Arnold Schwarzenegger hitting a joint. And, you know, I obviously wasn't into bodybuilding, but, you know, for me, For all the things it does, it's perfect for the gym.

Todd MccormickIt keeps you focused. It gives you something as a pain relief. It increases your appetite. I would even say it focuses us. You get stoned, you go in the gym, it's kind of easy to focus on what you're doing.

BubblemanOh, absolutely.

Skunk ManArnie Schwarzenegger smoked it and he became freaking the governor of California. Dude, forget that.

BubblemanBefore the governor, he was the fucking Terminator.

Skunk ManBefore that, he was a bodybuilder that smoked pot. It's true.

Todd MccormickIt's really hard to... That's true. He used to get high with Tommy Chong all the time, Tommy told me.

BubblemanThat was awesome.

Todd MccormickYeah, and Tommy was so disappointed when he became governor because Tommy thought this guy's going to fix it. He's a secret stoner.

BubblemanI don't think he fixed anything myself, but I couldn't be wrong. Obama smoked weed and he's in the White House. Shit. I'm sure a few people have puffed herb in the White House. I mean, come on. Well, they all have. Willie Nelson what? Willie Nelson, who?

Todd MccormickYeah, put it in his what? Biography?

SpeakerLord Shiva of the Universe.

Todd MccormickLord Shiva! Reincarnated as a president just for a minute and then smoked weed and split again, right?

Skunk ManI gave a free kilo of seeds to Obama and he told me he grew them in the back of the Rose Garden.

BubblemanBeautiful. That'll be a new rumor now, Sam.

Skunk ManSam sells out to Obama. Obama, major shareholder in Monsanto. Oh, my God.

Dr Mark ScialdoneNow, wait a second. I'm driving to the Rose Garden. What you're telling me is that there's some skunk number one growing down the road here in I-95?

Skunk ManI heard half of them got flowered and harvested, but I heard the other half is still there right now as we speak.

Todd MccormickMichelle Obama's organic garden has cannabis.

BubblemanYou know what? I did see a picture surface of one of his daughters with a bong in the foreground. Like, someone got the classic, like, oh, there's the bong.

Skunk ManThat was the first plant that got harvested.

BubblemanWhat? They turned it into a bong?

Skunk ManNo, no, no. They smoked it as a bong.

SpeakerIt was male flowers, so they had to use a bong.

BubblemanDid you say a bong or a bong? Because those are very different things.

Skunk ManThey said a bum.

Todd MccormickThis is, we're definitely under the influence of cannabis over here.

SpeakerAbsolutely. 100%. Dab after dab, turd dipping, it's, I gotta get a smile.

Skunk ManWell, the only solution to that is bum rip.

BubblemanYou know, it's funny that you would say that because I just am getting texts from D420K right now. Saying that, what was it? It was a pretty funny one.

Skunk ManIt was like... Psychically, I knew that.

BubblemanHe's like, I can't get in. I'm throwing this laptop piece of shit out the window. I'm like, I have been there, my brother. I have been there. I can't handle when my technology doesn't work. So I'm trying to walk him through getting into the chat right now. So he could come in and share a bong rip with us.

Todd MccormickYou know what? Google Hangouts has crashed on me twice during this call with the new update. Really? I watched it. Yeah. It's a blinking. So they're improving it by making it worse.

BubblemanIsn't that how it always is, Todd?

BubblemanYeah, I didn't update.

Skunk ManYeah, but usually they'll sell you a solution that's better.

BubblemanYeah, there you go. As long as they can sell me a solution that's better for much more money than the free that I was used to. Don't act like you're not going to get an iPhone 7, bro. Don't act. Dude, I've already got the iPhone 7.

BubblemanActually, I'm on the Casio flip phone right now.

SpeakerI've upgraded to an iPhone. Mark, you bugged me for years, but Yes, I got the 6S.

BubblemanDude, I got the Samsung now.

Todd MccormickSorry, John. If it's not a 7, it's not cool anymore, John.

SpeakerYou might just throw it away. I bought it last week. I needed a phone. And then the 7's coming out next week, so I need a phone this week.

Skunk ManI'm getting the 7, but as soon as I get it with a marker or a laser or something, I'm going to change it to the 8.

SpeakerIt doesn't have a headphone jack, so you can't plug into the iPhone 7. I don't understand that, so that was like, that's like, that was like non-sale for me.

BubblemanWell, it's just the small little piece that goes from the headphone jack into the power of the cord, so you can actually still plug in a headphone if you're 14 and often use headphones with your iPhone. I personally have never used a set of headphones with my phone.

SpeakerI only do it now because I need it for here.

Todd MccormickBut you're not on your phone.

SpeakerNo, I never use it on the phone.

Todd MccormickYou're right. I actually do use it when I'm talking to people and I need to hear them.

Skunk ManThat's a good reason to not use them.

Todd MccormickThere you go. All right. Sorry, I can't hear you. I don't have my headphones on.

SpeakerOne good thing about the seven in a survival situation, you can start a fire with it easy. Apparently, yeah, that's great. I think that's the Samsung, actually.

BubblemanBut it is the seven note.

BubblemanIt's still a seven. Apple and Samsung just laughing at everyone in their simple divisions while they both own their companies, respectively, paying each other hundreds of millions to lease each other's patents.

SpeakerYeah, well, turnabout is fair play, I guess they think, huh?

BubblemanSomething along those lines.

Skunk ManSamsung's battery must be pretty hot, huh?

BubblemanOh, it's hot right now, dude. It's hot.

BubblemanIt's burning Jeeps to the ground. It's burning houses to the ground.

Skunk ManIt's just a little embarrassing. Maybe like the same level that Volkswagen was cheating on their gas emissions.

BubblemanYeah, how many vehicles was that for Volkswagen? I don't know, one billion? Jesus. For Samsung, it was two million phones that they recalled.

SpeakerYeah.

SpeakerWell, what was the Spanish food company recently that's caught hell with all their stuff wasn't taco bills or whatever it was, but hey, if you've got a seven and you wander into one of those places where they've got something potentially hazardous in the food, Just light a fire with the seven underneath of it and recook it.

BubblemanThere you go. At your own table. It's kind of frightening though to think about because it's when people are charging their phones and that's generally, you know, when you're about to step away from your phone, you go to charge it. So it seems like a fairly important thing to take care of and get sorted.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think that the issue is that it has to do with making the batteries smaller and thinner, and so they're using organic polymer materials that weren't designed for these, and sometimes they off-gas with volatile flammable solvents, and if it's above the flash point, you're going to have a fire.

BubblemanYeah, there's like a piece of aluminum also that goes over the back of the battery that's like acting as a, if anything touches it, just like they were setting it off with like a pen, just touching it with a pen, and it creates this little spark that causes flames almost instantly.

SpeakerWell, when they make polymers, I mean, don't they have a special room and they got a couple of nozzles and everything's fired together at thousands of degrees and then the polymers are formed? Something like that, Mark?

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, they're cured at a much higher temperature than they're rated for in use and they have... What's called a glass transition temperature, which is the temperature at which it no longer becomes, you know, it becomes more fluid like and less, you know, plastic like, but there's all kinds of stabilizers and other kinds of shit in there that makes a polymer into a plastic. There's usually fillers and, you know, things in there that hopefully are going to keep the thing, you know, integral over its period of use.

Dr Mark ScialdoneBut if you think about it, a battery gets charged, Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat should be a very three-dimensional object, if you think of the way batteries used to be, some big, you know, canister kind of thing, and you're making it very, very thin. And so thinness of these things has to, the heat has to be dissipated, and also the dielectric properties now have to be really good because You have a very, very, you know, what used to be very large geometry now condensed into something that you can, you know, clip on the back of your cell phone, which has to be no bigger than a credit card and last for six to 12 hours.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's amazing that they last as long as they do, right? I don't know. From a science point of view, I mean, these things eventually fail, and I think that's what you're finding in fires. Hey, Todd, did you want to head over to Abu Dhabi?

BubblemanOh, Todd froze up. He was the one that posted the Abu Dhabi link, so I thought he would want to mention something about it, but it looks like for the third time, he has frozen in place for chat.

BubblemanKind of still wanted to get him. Oh, he says he's going to be right back. That's all good. You know what? Today is the hash church of dead silence. Let's have a silent moment and see how long we can make it last.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI'm trying to move Todd's head on my display and it's not working.

SpeakerWhat about Ava Doobie? Oh, Ava Doobie. I was going to make mention to see what's going on in Toronto there yesterday morning when there's about like 15... Different police officers outside of the cannabis culture store and they're kind of, Mark jumped on live Facebook and used social media and stuff to stop the arrest. It's kind of cool to watch.

BubblemanWell, he wasn't ever going to get arrested. Those cops were... Well, we do know because he wrote about it on his website right after. He first posted that he thought he was getting arrested, which quickly changed to those cops, which were bike cops, not drug unit cops, the ones that would have showed up with the warrant if they were there to bust him for being a dispensary.

BubblemanThey were there with his landlord who was just trying to evict him. And because Mark was the tenant, the tenants have all the rights when it comes to landlords and tenants. So those police all left. With the tenant and Mark was not arrested. So I know they're going to try and get him evicted. He paid a lot of money in advance and he offered them indemnification so that they were not responsible to pay for anything.

BubblemanI saw the live YouTube because I thought the same thing, John, that they were going to like be there busting him. But it was quickly apparent that that was not the case. They weren't there even for the dispensary. They were there for an eviction kind of notice. But Mark had changed the locks. Hey, welcome D420K and Todd McCormick back to the room. Hello. You didn't smash your computer, dude.

BubblemanIt was close, man. It was close. Well, I'm glad you didn't. I'm glad you didn't.

SpeakerThis thing just, it's old. You know, it's, I can't even buy plug-ins for this Apple that are compatible, the new ones for it, or adapters for those plug-ins. So it's, It's time to maybe just use it as a storage device and get another one.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThere you go. I don't know.

SpeakerYeah, I hear you. How about we do a bong rip, everybody? Mother lovers out there.

BubblemanYeah, good job. How about it's been a while since we actually did a bong rip, turp dip, fuck yeah.

Skunk ManDouble. Fuck yeah.

BubblemanYeah. I always enjoyed those ones myself. It's too bad that Tony's not here because you know that Tony would be down with a bong rip, turp dip, fuck yeah.

SpeakerTurp dip?

BubblemanYou just know. I think I'm going to hit the last of my sweet skunk.

BubblemanThe last of the sweet skunk.

SpeakerDouble dip.

BubblemanIt's always a sad day when it's the last of one of your, you know, the ones you really like.

BubblemanThere's always more around the corner. That is for sure. I do still look forward to the day where we can just buy like the highest quality raw extracts, like not even anyone's brand, just like intellectual property that does the best job that creates these best versions of all of these dry sifts and wet washes and oils and just be able to buy them at affordable prices in large quantities like 10 gram jars, not like half gram jars.

BubblemanFuck.

SpeakerDamn, I thought you were going to say pints.

BubblemanHey, I'm down with pints. I mean, originally I used to say mason jars, to be honest, John. I used to say, until we can trade mason jars full of the most beautiful concentrates, done with the most exotic and rare cultivars, we will still be fighting.

SpeakerWell, I'm working on a gallon jar scenario myself so that everybody can have a gallon jar at home. Why not? Or like a wine rack. This is Sour D. This is this. Like that.

BubblemanThat's the dream right there. All those different flavors bump into your body and be like, oh, you got to try this haze. Here's a big ounce of it. Go take that and enjoy it. Really get to know something.

Dr Mark ScialdoneDo you think kind of like with beer, they'll have like a non-alcoholic version too? Like O'Doul's? Yeah, like O'Doul's. So they'll have like a non-THC version for someone who wants to rip a Rip a sour diesel but not get high for some reason. I don't know.

BubblemanYou know, I can picture it. And the reason I say I can picture it, it always goes back to Irv. When we had Irv on here and he gave us his valuable perspective while all of us pot snobs were telling him that he needed to get the best quality. And he said, hey, guys, this works for me. So cannabis is amazing in the sense, and I always get stuck in the mentality that, oh no, it has to be the highest quality, most ridiculous awesomeness for everyone.

BubblemanWell, maybe that's not so. Maybe that there's a big quiver for cannabis to fill, and if that's one of the things it can fulfill, but there are also people that may want exactly what you just mentioned, like without the super high, but to just hit the flavorful, wonderfulness of those terpene profiles.

SpeakerHey, you know what? When I was in Holland, about six coffee shop owners approached me and asked me if I could partially extract buds so that they would be low THC content and still make them look okay. And I informed them then, yeah, well, you know, we can extract this and the buds will still look exactly the same, not as sparkly. But that's what they wanted for the cafe people who were walking in the cafes.

SpeakerThey were looking into ways to reduce THC. John, can I just throw this out there?

Todd MccormickWe were complaining about coffee shop owners bouncing buds on hash screens back in 94 and 95. It was a practice because, you know, this was before water hash, before solvent hash, before any of it, when all we had was screens everywhere. And that was the unethical thing to do. So when people would go around the coffee shops, they'd have their little scopes and they'd look and see if all the trichromes were off the front of it.

Todd MccormickAnd if you broke or break it open, you'd see it was full of them and you'd realize, These people have been, you know, basically stealing the hash off the buds before they sell it. Terrible. Real common, actually.

BubblemanReal common. In fact, it is one of the reasons that so many people were pissed about the quality of the bud they were getting from BC, calling it beasters, when often it was the buyers bouncing it before they sold it, not the sellers bouncing it before they sold it. And that was just another great way to slam BC for the shitty quality when the quality was pretty good before it went down, you know, before it got bounced from all of its resin, which was, it's definitely something people have been doing all over for a long time.

BubblemanAnd when I used to promote dry sifting back in the day, people would be like, oh, you're one of those guys. I was like, no, I would never consider bouncing A half pound of weed and then selling it. Because to me that's like morally corrupt.

SpeakerYou and me both. That's a fucking crime against humanity. I would have never thought of that. It's not something that would have come up for me. And when those guys asked me in Holland about doing that, I said, yeah, I could. But when they asked me if I would, I said, no, I wouldn't.

Todd MccormickSix years ago is like 12 years after what we were complaining. I mean, back then, John, you know, all we were doing was pressing hash. You know, Mila was known as the pollinator lady, which, you know, the stuff we were pressing wasn't pollen. It was a misnomer right from the jump. But the pollinators were those little dryer-looking units that would tumble our weed, and then we'd have all this teeth.

Todd MccormickPeople would put buds in there and then sell the buds unscrupulously. It was...

BubblemanAnd the funny thing is, is about all that dry sift is I can only imagine what it looked like next to Sam's during the same years.

Todd MccormickWell, it needs cleanup. You know, the thing was, is once you put it in that, and then if you were to take it to cleanup, you could, you know. But who did? We did. We did at Posse. We had a whole hash room over there that we had all the...

BubblemanI went to Posse and never, ever saw that quality of hash from anyone but Sam in all of Amsterdam.

Todd MccormickOh, no, no. Absolutely. I mean, once... You know what it was? Sam gave old Ed, for his birthday present, a little 35mm vial of resin heads. And that was pretty much it. Once I saw that, smoked that, experienced that, it was a quest.

BubblemanYeah, me too.

Todd MccormickAfter that, I went out and bought all the Hoagland Togla gear, all the different size dry sieves. It, you know, what I was doing when I got back to America was exactly trying to emulate you, Sam. So thank you, wherever you are.

Skunk ManNo problem. Yeah.

Todd MccormickYou remember that little vial you gave old Ed, right?

Skunk ManOh yeah, yep.

Todd MccormickWhat year was that? I can't remember that. 1996, Ed turned 80.

BubblemanOkay, so it was 95 the first time I smoked that 50.

Skunk ManIf I remember correctly, isn't that the time that he took a big hit and fell down or something?

Todd MccormickNo, that was when we were in there and he, he, everyone was smoking out Ed on his 80th birthday and we had everything closed. It was hot inside and he passed out. And if you remember me and Bernard trying to get him to come back and we're going to call the ambulance and Bernard's saying no.

Skunk ManI told Bernard that I was going to print up t-shirts that said, I killed Ed.

BubblemanI also knocked Ed unconscious on the third floor of the PAX party house.

Todd MccormickBut then you know what would have to say on the back? Sadly, not Rosenthal.

Todd MccormickOh, shots fired. Oh no, listen, it's a joke because whenever Bernard would put that old Ed was making an appearance, he would put under it old Ed and then in parentheses, not Rosenthal.

SpeakerHey, Mark, I seem to remember, though, in Amsterdam, at one point in time, this hash came around called AK-47. It was some Russian stuff.

Todd MccormickNo, no, no, that was just some stuff, John, that was made off serious seed strain AK-47. They made the Chronic AK-47 and Cali Mist. Those were their three staple sayings. The guy's name was Simon Schmidt. So AK-47 would have just been hashed. It came off of serious strains as weed.

BubblemanI did see hash that was import that had the gold AK-47 on it if you're talking about that. I'm not too sure.

SpeakerYou mean the one with the gold foil stamp on it?

BubblemanYeah.

SpeakerYeah. That's the one.

BubblemanOkay. Yeah. That's what I thought you might be talking about import rather than like a local. Sorry then.

Todd MccormickYeah. No. Yeah. AK-47 is a great plant from Serious Seeds. That was a real strong plant. That was a very popular plant for quite a while.

BubblemanYeah, they used to sell it at the gray area.

Todd MccormickYeah, the Gravery was great. They were some of the first ones that started really embracing higher end strains. I mean, believe it or not, in the early 90s, coffee shops wouldn't pay much. AK-47 was one of the first strains that my friend Gene was able to sell to a coffee shop and it was greenhouse for more than what they were trying to pay for skunk because their argument was that nobody cares.

Todd MccormickThey just want something to smoke. They don't care the nuance of the cannabis. And, you know, that was the early 90s really showed them wrong because that's when people started going for haze. And these unique flavors and real potent cannabis and there was a turnaround.

BubblemanCan you imagine if like that whole Amsterdam thing had happened like in California or somewhere where they might have been more aware of what it was that they had that they and what they could have built out of that because man I'll tell you it just seemed to peter out in Amsterdam instead of getting better and better it just seemed to sort of get like worse and worse.

Todd MccormickTo a degree, I mean, it depends on where you shopped. I mean, Soma was always a great example of, to me, of how good the cannabis and hash was around Amsterdam. You just, like any single city you go to, it all depends with cannabis on who you know.

Skunk ManYeah.

Todd MccormickAnd that's the reality. I mean, and I, hey, hats off to guys like Ari and Ferb. Being willing to purchase more expensive cannabis that was unique. I mean, he came in and purchased things like Neville's Haze, NL5 by Haze, Cali Mist, when none of the other coffee shops would touch it or they wouldn't even understand the justification of paying more for a plant that grew longer and yielded less.

Todd MccormickHe knew. He didn't at the time fully get it, but he was open-minded to it, and he did in time totally get it because he started growing and breeding the very varieties that he saw. He never expected people to come in and spend 18 guilders a gram for a gram of cannabis when they could buy a gram of skunk for 10. And he just, it blew a lot of minds back then.

Todd MccormickBut the market showed that people wanted higher quality, unique cannabis.

Skunk ManWere you in Amsterdam when this came out?

Todd MccormickIt's Mask Ed. Oh, it's an old one.

BubblemanI remember the Mask Ed.

Todd MccormickHey, can I show you this? This is my, this, I got this at my first Cannabis Cup, 1994. And as you buy grams, if you put the stickers on it, after 10 grams, you get a free gram.

BubblemanI remember that.

Todd MccormickYeah, this was from the Tolstrat place. I've used it as my hash card ever since.

BubblemanAh, very nice.

Todd MccormickYeah, a long, long time ago.

BubblemanThat's an oldie for certain.

Todd Mccormick22-year hash card? Yeah, I'm getting old.

SpeakerThat's pretty cool.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThere's probably some novel cannabinoids on that card.

BubblemanYeah, we should do a GC analysis of that card.

Todd MccormickI love you, Mark. Novel cannabinoids. I love it. Only available on my hash card.

Dr Mark ScialdoneUnique and novel. Todd HC.

SpeakerI think it. Let's smoke it.

BubblemanThat's looking pretty milky.

Todd MccormickThank you for joining us.

Todd Mccormickof the psychological trauma we've been over under lifted away and people will be able to start coming out and share their experiences and sit around and meet strangers and not be afraid that the strangers are not it's definitely like that here when you go to cchq people are gonna say hey how's it going like i just came in from so and so and every time i'm there people from

BubblemanWell, even the last time Darren and Sabo and I were there, some guy came up to us and was like, hey, I watch your videos and I just wanted to say hi to you guys.

Wood ThrushAnd he came over and said hi to us.

BubblemanIt's very much like that. In fact, if I didn't want to have a more private meeting in that particular day, almost always I would have blazed that guy down and hung out with him and And, you know, got to meet him and find out where he was from and whatnot. And that's definitely, definitely how it is in Vancouver when you go to the CCHQ lounge anyway.

SpeakerI have been to some medical marijuana shops in San Francisco that will, people do sit down and smoke in the shop after they buy it out in front.

Todd MccormickI agree, John. And in some shops, like Berkeley Patients Group used to allow a consumption area when they were in their old building and they put vaporizers out there and people would be able to medicate on the spot and be able to look. Culture and socialization, in my opinion, is the next product in the cannabis industry because when we're able to have cannabis fests like bear fests in any city and people not be afraid of us, like they're not afraid of wine drinkers.

Todd MccormickIt's going to, this is where I think the theater is going.

BubblemanCan you imagine the smoking room at a high-end movie theater, the cool people you'd meet? It's like, oh, we're going to go watch this movie. Let's go get blazed first. And you walk in and everyone's like, yeah, we're all getting blazed. The movie's about to start. That to me would be a very cool little community of people to meet. All the people who Blaze that are in the movie theater that you don't even know Blaze.

BubblemanYou're not talking to any of them because it's a movie and you're there with your two or three buddies. But if they had a room that we could go and Blaze in before we went and saw that movie, if it was culturally acceptable, that would be a fun room to meet people in.

Todd MccormickWhat won't there be? I mean, in all honesty, I think that you look at San Francisco as an example of a progressive city. They've banned public tobacco smoking, but they were clear to not ban public consumption of medical cannabis. So now if you go to an event in San Francisco, the only thing you can smell legally up in the air burning is cannabis.

BubblemanNice. Well, I'll tell you, I walked into my little village park and it was Firefighter Day yesterday. We do it once a year and they raise money for the fire department locally and it's a really cool family thing. And I walked up with a buddy of mine who I recognized from Lions Bay. We parked at the same time and we're walking up and I caught a whiff of cannabis maybe for the first time ever in that park with that many people and it just made me smile.

BubblemanThat it was, you know, like somewhat accepted there for that brief moment in time and that it's getting more normalized that, you know, it's not something we need to be afraid of. It's definitely something that we need to accept and potentially embrace. Yeah.

Todd MccormickYou know, can we talk about cost of production for a minute? Because it was a conversation I was having with Kenny the other day and I think that this is really going to be, you know, we were talking about why people have been fighting against Proposition 64 and ALMA and regulation and everything and And really, I think that we were coming to the point that it boils down to cost of production because when people start getting into cannabis as a regular business, you know, like the people that made the coffee cups I'm using, you know, anything around me, the grinder, there's a cost of production that's figured in that right now doesn't exist in cannabis.

Todd MccormickAnd I would love to hear what people really think the cost of production of cannabis is going to go to.

BubblemanYeah, I mean, it depends, right? I mean, I knew a grower that had his cost of production down pretty good in regards to how much it cost him to grow a pound. And he was doing it indoor under prohibition with many, many, many plants and many, many, many lights. And it was... It was still pretty high, mainly due to the prohibition cost, and so I think that indoor and the super high indoor technology is very cost prohibitive and it makes the price very expensive.

BubblemanHe got it down to about $400 Canadian dollars per pound. That's how much it cost him to grow AAA quality, what you would consider craft cannabis, what anyone would want to have in their stash, many different cultivars.

Todd MccormickYou know, not a gram because I was doing this math the other day and you know, my friend that does blasting was telling me that they're getting really beautiful light depth trimmed buds for 900 a pound and that puts it under $2 a gram. And that means that the growers are selling it and making a profit. And we're starting to see, you know, $2 a gram is pretty low comparatively to 10 bucks a gram what we used to pay.

Todd MccormickAnd I think that this is going to be more the norm than anything else because I think that as people get into this and they want to make a reasonable profit in a reasonable amount of time, they're going to look at reasonable profit margins and not unreasonable prohibition or profit margins because, you know,

Skunk ManWell, the real true price, Todd, is quite low if you can do it outdoors. Bingo. Moderately priced greenhouse with minimal expensive inputs like heating over the winter and stuff. But what I would say is that they grow Christmas trees on Christmas tree farms. They sell a big giant one for $100 after they've grown them five to seven years. What do you think you could sell a cannabis plant for if you have $100,000?

Skunk ManI think $100 if it's not dried or manicured.

Todd MccormickRight. I see that too. Because of the sheer amount of labor that goes into processing, I think we will see the same thing we saw in Switzerland where people were just coming to the fields, picking a plant, bringing it to a picnic table, chopping it up with their family and friends and going home with it.

BubblemanDude, until we are using full-size cannabis trees as our Christmas trees. This is my new mission. Sam has put it into my mind. That is a beautiful vision. I would pay $100 all day long for that.

Dr Mark ScialdoneDamn. Happy Festivus.

BubblemanYeah, that's the thing. Once you escape yourself from the... The aspect of prohibition and indoor growing and you get agricultural, then the price goes down exponentially. Like forget about two bucks a gram, forget about one buck a gram. I can't even, I don't know the math exactly, but I'm sure it's down in the cents somewhere.

SpeakerI think we're going to cut you off.

Todd MccormickSorry, John. Go ahead. I'm sorry.

SpeakerI was dealing with an LP and I think their production cost was 88 cents a gram before labor.

Skunk ManWell, if you do a pick your own, you can make it less than 10 cents a gram. But they have to dry it. They have to manicure it. They have to pick it home on their station wagon roof.

Todd MccormickYeah, I think this is what's going to happen with legalization. We're going to see it turned into another commodity that people basically judge it on in equal par with other stuff. You guys are good bopsy twins. Thank you. Hey.

BubblemanBob Seed Twins.

Todd MccormickBob Seed Twins. What?

SpeakerWhat? Yeah, I didn't get the link from you this morning, so I went and did some errands.

BubblemanI know. I apologized. I was like, I don't think I sent Tony the link today, so.

SpeakerHey, Tony. How you guys doing?

BubblemanWe're terp-dippin', double-dippin', bong-rippin', fuck-yen.

SpeakerSo I'm going to have to catch up with you guys. I've got some of these CBD crystals. Let's see if you can see this. Nice little terp crystals.

BubblemanAll right, catch up. Let's see them melt.

SpeakerYeah, right?

BubblemanI'll have them melt too. I don't have terp crystals, but I do have a little hand-mixed bubble hash from the West Coast Concentrate Boys.

SpeakerNice.

BubblemanOh, yeah.

SpeakerI've also got some...

SpeakerUh, Gorilla Glue, Lemon Tree.

BubblemanDude, that sound is horrible.

SpeakerYeah, it's sticky.

BubblemanIt sounds like popcorn fucking popping.

SpeakerYeah? Yeah.

BubblemanPot rocks, actually, is what Chili just said in the chat. Those were pot rocks.

SpeakerI got some of this. Jesus. So this dog walker, uh, Tested 88% total cannabinoids without any solvents. Pretty good. SE Labs with 400 milligrams of terpenes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneShout out to Richard Cromlin in Portland, Oregon, who's the breeder who came up with that strain.

SpeakerYeah, it's a, man, it's really one of my favorites. So good.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, it's a great strain, isn't it, Tony? It's what, it's an Albert Walker Chem 91 cross? Yep. Is that right?

SpeakerYep. Yep. Yep. Richard Cromlin. All right, I'm going to do a little.

SpeakerSay hello to my little friends. Say hello to my friends. I'm going to drop this crystal. A lot of people are asking me what temperature to smoke these at, and I always run mine at like 5, and I use a silicone carbide and stuff, but I like mine between 550 and 600.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIs that CBD?

SpeakerYeah, it's like about 90. Right now, it's probably, I'm going to have this tested, but it's 98% with 2% terpenes. I use the...

SpeakerAbout four or five drops, so about 0.125 ml of cannabis terpenes with 99.9%, and then recrystallize it with the terpenes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTony, you've got to get a capillary melting point apparatus so you can tell me what the melting point is.

SpeakerWell, actually, if you hold it here, you'll see it actually melt right off the… Right off of it.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat temperature is it set at? It's set at 5, did you say?

Speaker5, right now it's around 580.

BubblemanDid it drop out of the bowl or drop into the bowl?

SpeakerNo, it dropped into it.

BubblemanNice. I didn't hear you go shit, so I was hoping for the non-trainwreck dab.

Todd MccormickI like trainwreck, just for the record. Love trainwreck.

SpeakerYeah, train wreck good. Train wreck good. Has it got that cherry flavor to it, Tony? Like that CBD real flavor to that? No. No, I mean, it doesn't have any. So the CBD, when it, I mean, we talked about this. Once you hit that 99.5 to 99.9, it's a molecule. There's not really any taste whatsoever, and I think it's pretty bland and boring. And then once you add the terpenes to it, then it tastes like the flavor of what that is.

SpeakerI definitely notice a different effect if I try to vaporize it just pure versus adding actually terpenes to it.

SpeakerSo Mark, a good melting point thing is get yourself a Seek thermal add-on for an iPhone and you can hold it, picture, you know, it's good up to 700 degrees or so, so you can hold it right over the crystal, melt it, and you'll get your answer immediately just by this little one by two inch thermal attachment for your iPhone.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I prefer a Capillary melting point apparatus where I can look in underneath the microscope and actually see the crystals melt.

SpeakerWhat kind of, what do you want me to get? Because I have a really powerful microscope too.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, so you know what I'll do, Tony, is offline I can send you the device. It's just basically a capillary melting point apparatus where you take a small capillary and you put a few crystals. In the bottom of this glass capillary, and then you put the capillary into the device, which is basically just a thermocouple. It's basically the same thing that runs your nail, hooked up to a digital readout so you could actually see the temperature go up, and you physically watch the crystals melt.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd the melting point is just a great indication of purity. So if you know that it's 100% pure CBD, it should melt at the reporting melting point, which I believe is 65 degrees centigrade. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you have something that's in there that's going to be like a terpene or something, it's going to reduce the melting point, right? So you reduce the melting point. And you increase the boiling point of a material when you have some impurity in there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd so that's why, like, when we put salt down on the... In the wintertime, it melts all the ice, right? Because it reduces the melting point. So any impurity, like a terpene, or if there's another cannabinoid that just happened to be in your crystalline CBD material, you should see a melting point Lower than the literature reports for the pure crystal. The pure crystal, I believe, melts... Hold on a second.

Dr Mark ScialdoneLet me check my...

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, so CBD acid melts at 45 without decarboxylating, amazingly. CBD itself, according to Roger Adams... Melts at 66 to 67 degrees centigrade. So you could use just melting point just as a physical way of observing how pure your stuff is, chemically pure, how single molecule that crystalline material is.

SpeakerMark, aren't there new melting point machines? Actually, the sensor that's in them is a thermal sensor, an infrared sensor that measures and lets you know about the melting point. So what would the difference be between looking at a very good camera?

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's the same thing. It's the same thing. I mean, I had an old school one where you actually put a mercury thermometer in and it's the thermometer you actually read. You look to see like when... Thank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneLooking at how pure your crystalline material is, it's certainly pure enough to crystallize. So that puts it into like the 90 to 93 regime. It has to be that pure to crystallize. And then once it's beyond that melting point is a great way to determine how pure something is.

BubblemanSo it's probably be easier for people to do the little iPhone add-on thing, like people that are listening and then people who are deeply into science, you can get right into the deeper component that Mark's talking about. Both great options. Yeah.

SpeakerHey, they make that little melting point, the same little camera that works with the Android stuff too. And I think it's fireproof in case you've got them seven.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, because a capillary melting point apparatus will run you anywhere between probably $8,000 to $1,000. I mean, they're expensive. It's an expensive piece of laboratory hardware. But certainly, if you're in the business of making crystalline product, You want to have a laboratory melting point apparatus. It's just a standard piece of equipment, kind of like your Rotovap.

BubblemanImagine how expensive lab gear would be if it was specifically made for boats. Anything made for boats seems to be 10,000 times more expensive, even fucking barbecues. You put them on a boat and all of a sudden they're five grand. Never seen anything like it.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's like buying a tall boy at a concert.

BubblemanThere you go.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat kind of concerts are you going to? I'm only kidding. I wish they didn't sell tall boys at concerts. I'll tell you what. I wish more people dropped acid and less people fucking drank alcohol at concerts because people fucking drink alcohol even at Dick's where fucking weed is legal in the great state of Colorado. People get too fucking polluted on these large fucking tall boys at fucking 15 bucks a pop.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI don't know what the fuck they charge, but... There's just like drunk people walking around double fisting these things all night and you just want to stay away from those people. They talk during the quiet parts of the song. You just want to be away from those people. I'm like, shut the fuck up. The band is playing. Talk later, you stupid loud alcoholics.

SpeakerSorry. Spike their boys with a good hit acid while you're there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI know, man. Like, right, right. Where's the guy with the spray bottle, right? We need him.

SpeakerWe were at a Seattle Cup once, and I was like a few years back, and I remember somebody gave the Davistar crew, there was like, It was like, I don't know, it was a hot day. They were giving out drinks or something, but somehow, I remember because they were saying, oh, I think that so-and-so spiked this drink with acid or something, and there was a widespread of doses that were given out without people knowing.

BubblemanI don't like that.

SpeakerYou know, yeah, no, that's a dirty trick. That's not cool. You're just going along in life, you know, and you're like, And if you don't know that you've entered into a deep trip, and you're just going along your life, it's one thing to know that it's going to come, and you're kind of preparing yourself.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSome people don't need it, right? Some people don't need it at all.

BubblemanIt's a pretty major decision to make for other people.

SpeakerEspecially when there's thousands of people around. Well, guys, I think you're taking it wrong, number one. Number two, back in the 60s, I remember living in Hollywood and Hollywood Boulevard in a house that had about 80 rooms in it. Thank you for watching.

BubblemanNo, hey, I'm not saying that that wasn't for the time and you guys were all down with that and everyone kind of knew what was happening. We're talking about something different.

SpeakerWe're talking about people working boots and like doing their thing and then all of a sudden a wave. No, you're talking about people walking around with two tall boys, I thought.

BubblemanWell, that's how it started. That's how it started. And then something about dicks. First it was tall boys, then it was dicks.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI don't know anything about it.

Skunk ManNo matter what you say, John, it's wrong to dose people without psychedelics, without their permission. It's wrong.

SpeakerI wasn't trying to make it okay, Sam, so relax.

BubblemanNo, I get where you were coming from and I get where Tony was coming from. It was just the conversation that led to the conversation. Of course, it's never all right to dose people. At the same time, if you lived with a bunch of people in a house and you guys were all eating acid all the time and it was like a commonly known thing that, oh, we dose each other while we sleep, it's like obviously it's something that you kind of know already.

Skunk ManWhen I was young, I definitely got dosed and it never hurt me and I never mind. But, yeah, I just don't want that happening to people I love and care about without their permission.

BubblemanAbsolutely. I don't want it happening to anyone, even that I don't know. It's just, you know, if you want to do psychedelics, I'll fight for that right, but don't give people psychedelics without their knowledge. It's like the, what didn't Tim Leary have, the two commandments of psychedelics, never try to stop someone from taking psychedelics and never give someone psychedelics without their knowledge.

Skunk ManYeah, at the same time, I agree with John. There's a lot of people out there who needed it.

SpeakerYeah. Well, I never would force it on anybody. All I've ever done is tell people ways they can get high and provide a lot of people with a simple understanding of how to get high in a way that nobody had begun. You know, honey oil disappeared for a long time way back then. And I thought it needed to be reintroduced to the world. But I guess there was a lot of inadvertent stuff in that too.

SpeakerAnd I guess some people got high who shouldn't have Gotten high and so forth and so on. But do I advocate giving psychedelics to large crowds of people? Not hardly. You know, this is today and here and now. Maybe the Mayans used to eat a lot of mushrooms and then pee in everybody's mouth and stuff like that.

Skunk ManI was at Altamont and I saw a guy from Altamont, yes.

SpeakerYeah.

Skunk ManI saw a guy from the Brotherhood who had a large brown paper bag, the largest size, completely filled with orange sunshine, and he was reaching in to the bottom of the bag and throwing handfuls out into the audience. It didn't make anybody eat it, but a lot of people were.

SpeakerWhat year was that, Sam?

Skunk Man1969. 1969.

SpeakerYeah, I had some of those.

BubblemanLuckily, it wasn't 1970. Didn't shit get heavy in 1970 at Altamont?

Dr Mark ScialdoneThis is Altamont. This is when shit got the heaviest, man. This is when there was a murder at the Rolling Stones concert.

Skunk ManI was there.

Skunk ManAnd I was so high on orange sunshine being thrown out from that brown paper bag that I didn't even know that it was a bummer until the music stopped and everything. And I said, what's the matter? And everybody's saying, oh, they're killing people. Everybody's freaking out. I didn't even know.

BubblemanFuck. That's pretty high, Sam.

SpeakerYeah, well, everybody on the other side of the concert didn't know.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThose are the people who needed the acid the most.

Skunk ManWell, I had enough for them all.

BubblemanYeah, the footage of that concert is scary.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat was the end of the 60s, man. Dude. It was heavy.

Skunk ManI'll tell you, the music was fucking great until, yeah, it stopped and people were being killed.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, the Dead never even played, right? The Dead were supposed to go on after the Stones. They never played.

Skunk ManNo, no. The Stones played and then the whole thing got broken up.

BubblemanShit. The old Altamont Rolling Stones concert. Well, that's pretty heavy duty.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, the Grateful Dead song, New Speedway Boogie, you know, please don't dominate the rap jack if you got nothing new to say. You know, that whole lyric, that lyric is about that day, you know? Things went down, we don't understand, but I think in time we will.

Skunk ManI was also there on Sunset Strip when the song, For What It's Worth, something happened here. I was there that night also.

Dr Mark ScialdoneA relic from the 60s you are, Sam.

Skunk ManI'm an antique, yes. I'm an antique.

Dr Mark ScialdoneLike an old piece of hash.

BubblemanNo, no. Like a nice cured piece of hash.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah.

BubblemanIt doesn't sound as good when you say like an old piece.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI guess I shouldn't say. I'm sorry. Thank you, sweetie.

Skunk ManWell, just say it's an old piece of 99.9% hash.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat's as good now as the day it was rolled. There you go. Oh, that's nice to have some ice water. Hey, Sam, I got to tell you, I got my D.C. people looking into this Rose Garden thing. If there's anything left in there, it'll be gone by the end of the day.

Skunk ManIf not, then make sure they take a kilo of seeds to throw over the wall.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWe should, man. I mean, for the next president, we should throw a bunch of fucking seeds all throughout the White House. I mean, we should just... Just walk around the South Lawn and just fucking litter it with seeds.

SpeakerI have an idea for you for that. I must say it was during a conversation when we were really, really, really stoned with some of the DNA guys. I thought this was a cool idea and I think that everyone on the planet could partake in it at the same time. You know how we all built our own little rocket ships at home? You know, at home rocket ships.

SpeakerAnd today you can build really cool rockets that go up into the, you know, different atmospheres and different things like that. So all you have to do is build a really good rocket at home and pack, pack yourself. We just have to figure out a good way to build the container that would carry the seeds. And so that way what will happen is, yeah, you got to have the payload on there so we can, so if everybody angles their, their rocket ship just a little bit, Projectory, maybe Mark can help us with that.

SpeakerWe could get an astronaut in here. And we could basically plan 40,000 rocket ships at the same time across the world with payloads of seeds and shoot them into the sky.

Skunk ManWell, that's certainly a possibility. But what could happen tomorrow is with helium balloons, you put like 100 cannabis seeds inside of helium balloons.

SpeakerThere we go.

Skunk ManAnd you release 100,000 of those helium balloons. And you're basically bombing Mama Earth. What about drones?

BubblemanI mean, there's probably at least 100,000 of them.

SpeakerThat helium balloon though idea is really good because everyone can get seeds into a helium balloon. I think that's the way to go. Weather balloon? Well, how about this? Instead of putting them in a balloon and landing somewhere where maybe they won't germinate... Pouring jars of them into rivers and creeks.

SpeakerThat would work too. But the helium balloon, wouldn't the helium balloon, if you had the right balloon, wouldn't it go up and it would just go to a certain point and then pop? That's what they do. Where are the seeds going to land? We don't know. Yeah, you don't know where the seeds would land. Well, we could do a...

Skunk ManWe could do a combination. I guarantee you they'll all pop directly over the Rose Garden.

SpeakerWe could target. You could try to target stuff. But I mean, I think a combination of rockets, balloons, and rivers, that should just be like a thing that we orchestrate.

BubblemanYeah, and then there's someone simple in chat room going, I just throw out handfuls of seeds wherever I can all the time. There's six, seven billion people on the planet. We could potentially get everyone doing that.

SpeakerWell, you know, birds eat the seeds. They don't get broken up in the digestive tract and they shit them somewhere where they will grow. That's how it goes. So you can put seeds in with the pigeon feed and you just feed them seeds. So we could do bird feeder seeds. Everywhere as well. You can see the birds. We've eliminated rockets and balloons. Put it in fucking bird feeders and let the birds get it done.

Skunk ManBirds. I'm still in favor of the helium because I like talking really funny.

BubblemanIs that what you do to make your voice sound like that? Absolutely. I've been breathing helium daily for 67 years. Jesus Christ.

BubblemanIt's a lot of helium. I wondered what all those tanks were at your house.

BubblemanLittle helium tanks.

SpeakerI got to tell you that it's always interesting when, you know, I smoke a lot of different combinations of things here, and this lemon tree terpene with the Gorilla Glue flower rosin is a dinger. It makes me sweat every time.

BubblemanOh man, I need to find another really great combination like that Jack Frost and that Master Scout. That was unreal.

SpeakerIf it makes you break into a sweat, that's a sign that your autonomic nervous system is reacting mightily to the introduction of that into your system.

Skunk ManRandom John quotes. The name was Scout Master?

BubblemanScoutmaster, yeah, was the flower rosin.

Skunk ManAnd I heard he got busted fooling around with the Girl Scouts.

BubblemanIt wasn't Scoutmaster, it was Master Scout. Scoutmaster.

BubblemanOh, fuck, that's awesome.

SpeakerWhat's really funny is as you watch this show, like that little doll gets like a glimpse every once in a while. So like you were just laughing, we were laughing, but then you just see the little doll pop up just for a second and then it goes away. It's not like it's even saying anything. It's pretty funny. It's funny that a voice comes from the Dr. Seuss doll.

BubblemanIt is very funny. And then John's got Ganesh. The two people, the two, like, who they decide to represent them is awesome.

SpeakerYou never see a face with either one of those. No. There was like a weird piece of bok choy or root last time on John's. No, that wasn't bok choy. That was one of those pines that lived to be about 3,000 or 4,000 years old up on the side of a hill from a camera looking down below. But it was all a 3D render I made with the computer.

Wood ThrushBok choy.

SpeakerBok choy, thanks.

Skunk ManThanks.

SpeakerWhat must you think that other picture is now if you thought that was bok choy?

Skunk ManWell, actually, the tree has a name. It's called bok choy. It's the bok choy.

BubblemanVery funny.

SpeakerActually, from when I first saw the image, I didn't know what that was, but it looked like a pizza. Yeah, that's what my younger son thought, too, from a distance. That's a 16-handed ganache, supposedly the most powerful remover of the obstacles that exist.

BubblemanThat's a 16-slice pepperoni and... Yeah.

SpeakerWell, I know what it is when I see you now, but when I first entered the room, it looked like you had a pizza that got attacked.

BubblemanWell, some could say... Well, all pizzas do get attacked, so... And they also do remove obstacles. Let's be honest. Pizzas remove obstacles.

Todd MccormickI've got a little sign on my door. It says, beware of dogma.

Skunk ManI've had that pizza when I was in India. It's called paneer pizza.

SpeakerAll Canadians and Indians know what paneer is, right?

BubblemanOf course.

SpeakerSo it looks like next weekend I'm going to be in Canada.

BubblemanYes, we are going to be at the Lyft Conference, so if anyone wants to come check us out and smell some Blue River Terpenes and talk to a couple of Hash Church panelists, there'll probably be more than just Tony and I there as well. I would suspect Dr. Natasha will be there, and I suspect we'll see Dana Larson and Jody Emery and Chris Bennett. John. And Johnny Burfellow.

BubblemanOf course, Johnny Burfellow. D420K might be there. I'm not sure if he's showing up for that one, but. Yeah, I'm sure Horatio will be there. I'm sure that many, many, many people in the scene in Vancouver will make a point on showing up for the Lyft conference. So, yeah, it should be fun. We're going to be representing at a booth, aren't we, Tony?

SpeakerYeah, and I think it'll be good when we come together again. It's always fun. I always like... I always like the FAQs, so I told the crew that was up there. We should do like dedicated FAQs. We should maybe try to have an FAQ panel.

BubblemanThey said they were going to try and set that up for us, actually. I talked to him just the other day, so they'll talk to the Lyft people and see if they want to do that. I think we did a good talk in Toronto. It worked out rather well. It probably would have been much better if we did do an FAQ aspect of it and had more questions.

SpeakerYeah, we did. I felt like we were absolutely 100% not prepared. We did not have an agenda. We didn't have anything except you were like, we were really busy the whole time. And you were like, hey, dude, we're getting ready to go on stage and talk. And I was like, yeah, what are we going to talk about?

BubblemanYou actually asked me what we were going to talk about as we were walking to the stage.

SpeakerYeah, exactly.

BubblemanWhy I thought that was so funny and why I felt only for a second a little bit uncomfortable was because right before that there was a girl who was speaking later that day who was like showing me her notes and her PowerPoint presentation that she had organized and I was like, fuck. I'm like, man, this person has done a lot of research and this is a professional.

BubblemanTony, I haven't even had a chance to tell Tony, see what we're going to talk about. And then you asked me that and you were like, what are we going to talk about? And I remember just being like, I don't know, man, like everything that we know, we'll just talk about how we linked up and what we have in common and what we know about this system and that system and that'll be it.

SpeakerYeah, that's what you said. There was four points. That was it. Four points? Yeah, you kind of just mentioned like we'll talk about these four things. But I felt like even though we had no planning, because we hung out so much and we had good synergy. It was good because we were able to like get all that information in like 45 minutes or whatever our time frame was.

SpeakerIt was like lots of information jammed in a short period of time.

BubblemanWell, we have lots of practice on here too with all these great people and the panelists. I'm sure if you took any one or two of the people in this room and put them on a panel like that, they know enough about what they're talking about that they're going to be able to come across in a nice articulate manner that you want. I like listening to people talk.

BubblemanThank you for watching.

BubblemanYou know, photography or chemistry or botany or history, whatever your thing is that you could, like Chris Bennett, for example. Lots of us know about cannabis history, but Chris Bennett has taken it to, like, the next level. If anyone's going to talk about history and cannabis, I like hearing him talk about it. Like, he's got a pretty good little... Overview of what's going on. I wouldn't say it's the be all end all of my belief systems in cannabis and going to Ben's museum and being a part of seeing Sam's collection and being involved in the industry and knowing as much as I do is still helpful, but man, listening to that guy talk about history is something else.

SpeakerThe history of the plant we love. Is this the first, not to change subjects here, but... Is this the first hash church that Etienne has missed?

BubblemanThis could be potentially the first hash church that Etienne has missed, but he was in here earlier, so he didn't actually miss it.

SpeakerOh, because he posted he was going to miss it.

BubblemanHe showed up in a football stadium with all these football people and he was like, hey, everybody. And he was here for like five minutes and then split. It was awesome.

SpeakerOkay, so he did make an appearance.

BubblemanOh, yeah, dude.

SpeakerYeah, he looked pretty stoked, man. He was going to the season opener for the Saints.

BubblemanDude, but he didn't miss Hash Church. Etienne knows where his priorities are.

SpeakerYeah.

BubblemanSo it was awesome to see him come in. It surprised me, actually, because I didn't think that he was going to be showing up.

SpeakerWell, I think he owns the record besides you.

BubblemanOh, right. Yeah, I would say that.

SpeakerBecause I've missed, I think I've missed one, and John's missed, we've kind of missed a few maybe. I think maybe, and I think Todd's maybe missed one couple since he's been on. Mark doesn't miss very often. No, there's the beginning, the beginning house churchers, and then there's, and then they just grew into this amazing group, and it's just been consistent for the last, basically, I'm a house churcher, I'm a philosopher.

SpeakerGreat work, everybody. 103. 103.

BubblemanDedicated. It's all thanks to you guys showing up every morning and finding out what we can talk about every time. Obviously, we know we're going to get into extraction and growing and economics and all these different things. You know, lately it seems as well that prohibition's been rearing its ugly head in the media with that Abu Dhabi post that you posted about Todd. I mentioned it a couple of times.

BubblemanDefinitely, like, seriously sickening shit. Find out some of these laws that some of these countries have before you decide to go there because they're sovereign nations that can make their own rules no matter how ridiculous. Like, for example... The Canadian border denying, the US border denying Canadian citizens for admitting that they smoke cannabis while trying to get into the state of Washington where you can smoke cannabis.

BubblemanAnd banned for life. Now that's not as brutal as, say, being put in jail for four years for violence.

Todd MccormickOn both sides of this, we need to really start focusing on our federal governments as well. We are pushing our activist efforts because I know it's easier to act locally, you know, go down to your own city, you know, hall and council meetings and such. But the problem is on a federal level and it has been for a while.

BubblemanAbsolutely. No, I know.

Todd MccormickI'm agreeing with that. And that woman that was going there was not just traveling. She was actually working as a second grade teacher. And I get that you make a lot of money for going there and teaching and stuff, but is it worth it? She's going to spend, God knows, according to the article, Canadians spend up to four years in Abu Dhabi prison for having cannabis in their system.

Todd MccormickNot on their person, not smuggling it, just they random drug test you and you have cannabinoids in your system and they are so backwards assed that they will lock you the fuck up for fucking three or four fucking years of your life and it's obscene and people should be outraged over it, really.

BubblemanAnd it's not just cannabis. It's like other, like codeine and whatnot. If you've been taking that in the U.S. and then you go there and they blood test you for that, that can put you in prison for some years.

Todd MccormickPeople should boycott these countries for human rights abuses. You know, I feel bad that she got busted, but she's playing Russian roulette, you know?

BubblemanYeah. I mean, I don't know. It's scary, too, because there's always that... I mean, it is her bag, and I'm sure it was probably her cannabis, but there is always that chance.

Todd MccormickIt was just little pieces of nothing, probably, they said.

BubblemanShe said it was remnants of cannabis. They said it was remnants of cannabis, but what she said was that she had been camping prior with that bag. And there was a couple of people using that bag that she used.

Todd MccormickOf course. You know what? They stopped Jack Herrick coming back into America for having just the, he had his suit dry cleaned, his hemp suit dry cleaned, but he used to put buds right in the pockets. And in between the pleats, they scraped out probably three-tenths of a gram of dust and charged him with importation.

BubblemanThey did that to me in the U.S. years ago when I tried to come across. They found dust and basically denied me and sent me back to Canada. I was going to see the Grateful Dead. I had a bunch of concert tickets. I was all like, it was a bummer I actually gave those concert tickets away like in Banff and in British Columbia because we just drove west instead.

BubblemanAnd when I went camping and met heady people, I'd be like, hey, you should take these Grateful Dead tickets and go see them because it's going to be great and I can't go. And, you know, take some LSD for me and...

Todd MccormickAnd what we're talking about is another reason why I really take umbrage with people that are fighting against the state-level initiatives, no matter how restrictive the state initiatives may be. They're a lot less restrictive than the drug war has been through the 80s and 90s and into the 21st century. And it all puts social pressure on the federal governments, both where we are and internationally, to change things.

Todd MccormickAnd we need to, every little step, we need to win every little battle at this point.

BubblemanYou called it. It's a game of chess. And if you're not allowed to move your piece because someone's afraid that that's the wrong place to move it to and it's going to take away our rights and it's going to do this and it's like, listen, we have no rights already. We're fighting for everything. Any little pinky to foot to leg in the door gets that door open more and more and we'll make our changes from within as we do.

BubblemanBut I'll tell you, like some of these people that are upset and screaming about how it is today sure weren't around 25 or 30 years ago when it was really like, I don't know. It was just crazy. I know it still is like that in a lot of places.

SpeakerIt's a lot crazier. You can test positive for eating a fucking poppy seed bun. No, that's not. You can test positive. A friend of mine went to Abu Dhabi and left from New York and ate some and got tested positive and spent two years sitting in a jail cell there because they had no evidence other than he tested positive for it. So, I mean, that's how crazy it can get, you know.

SpeakerHe wasn't even a druggie. He ate two poppy seed buns.

BubblemanYeah, that's pretty fucked up. I would definitely be fighting on that one. They made a Seinfeld episode over that. They did. I remember that. Didn't they make a Seinfeld episode about everything and then they just were like, okay, we're done. We've covered everything.

SpeakerAnd then the reruns just are like as good as the original.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYou know, we covered, you know, opiates and poppy seeds. We're done.

Skunk ManActually, they made a Seinfeld about all of the Seinfelds that they made. Nice.

BubblemanYeah, it's called Larry David.

SpeakerI've seen every Seinfeld five or six times. Bless you, my son.

BubblemanThat's a lot of time that you've invested in Seinfeld, Johnny B. Yeah, well, you know, I was like,

SpeakerIn front of the TV for a few years. Yep. Seinfeld made me laugh.

Todd MccormickIt was good. It was like that and Big Bang Theory.

SpeakerI watched all of them too.

BubblemanWell, laughing is good therapy for pain.

SpeakerThat's how it works.

BubblemanYep. It definitely feels good to laugh.

SpeakerActually, I hear they're using Seinfeld episodes to cure meth freaks.

Todd MccormickThat's weird. Peter McWilliams once wrote, he said, ease to assist in dis-ease. And it's nice. You know, ease definitely is the best medicine. Ease. Yeah, I like ease.

BubblemanOoh, that was like the sound of ease.

Todd MccormickYeah, it was ease to remedy dis-ease was his actual three words. Ease to remedy dis-ease.

BubblemanNice. R.I.P., Why don't we hit a bowl for Peter? Have a little bowl.

Todd MccormickEven I'll join that.

BubblemanI think so.

Todd MccormickDefinitely. Yeah, he'd be amazed at what was going on these days.

BubblemanHe'd definitely be on Hash Church.

Todd MccormickFederal government actually used it against him because he actually stated out loud that he wanted to be the Bill Gates of medical marijuana. And that was such a sin that they used it as an over-intentional act that he was going to break their laws and subvert their society.

SpeakerWhat's that, Tony?

SpeakerSo that is, this is the dog walker turf oil. All of these are made from a flour rosin and about 15 drops, about 0.2, no, sorry, about... 0.35 or 0.4? Yeah, more like 0.4 milliliters of the same terpenes from the same dog walker. So it made a, and then this is like a sonicated, you know, and it just made a, it's made to... You put in a dropper and it's like, you can monitor each drop.

SpeakerThey're like 20, see if there's 800, 880 milligrams per gram. So 400 milligrams was terpenes. There's 480. So you're getting each drop, there's 24 drops in a half gram of this stuff. So you're getting 44 drops per gram.

SpeakerAt 88 milligrams, right? Or no, 880 milligrams over 44 drops. So that's, what's that math, John?

SpeakerLet's see here. Tell you exactly how many milligrams that is.

BubblemanThere you go. Get the calculator out.

SpeakerNo fucking around. We'll get the calculator out. We're about to calculate some shit here. I would say it's about 19.5 milligrams a drop. So close to 20 milligrams a drop. And it's about, let's see, 400. It's 8.8 milligrams of terpenes per drop.

BubblemanYou know dabbing's getting serious when?

BubblemanYou need to try that in your vape exhale. I'd be interested to see the difference between the convection to the conduction.

SpeakerI could do that.

BubblemanYeah, just let us know. You got both right there.

SpeakerOh, yeah. But yeah, John, that is my favorite stuff to smoke. Unfortunately, it costs a lot in raw product and just in general. I'll pay for the next run. Okay. Well, I've got some. If you're in California, you know, I can get you some. Oh, yeah. I'm just up north of you by three and a half hours or so drive. This tastes, you know, full plant in your mouth.

SpeakerIt's really good. I'll have to gift you some of this. I'll put some aside.

BubblemanAll right.

BubblemanI need to get on that train.

SpeakerWell, Mark, you know you're on my Christmas list, buddy. Me too.

BubblemanYay! Man, it's good to be on the list, I'll tell you. Well, sometimes it's shitty to be on the list. I've been on that list. But it's sometimes good to be on the list, too. That's a different list. So there's good and bad lists. We all know.

SpeakerYou seem to make the top on both, though.

BubblemanWell, that's the problem, John. That's the problem.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTony, what kind of yields are they getting from that dog walker?

SpeakerMost of the stuff's around everything I've seen on like these greenhouse-assisted sun-grown out here, first press on flower. I would say it's almost guaranteed 15%. I haven't seen anything less than 15% on flower that's properly grown. This is from Emerald Orchards and from Rolling Hill Farms, those guys that we're working with.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHow dark is that? Can you hold that up again just so we can see the color? It's kind of golden. Golden, yeah, it's nice. Is it usually that color or does it get darker?

SpeakerUm, it could actually, so it gets everything kind of at that saturation. What I notice is if you have less THCA, you know, from the rosin. So I do, I do it with hash rosin and I do it with flower rosin. So I'm looking at both side by side. And I can tell you this, that the flower rosin, when it's done this way, to me, tastes like the whole plant, the whole garden in your mouth.

SpeakerYou know, it's like the way it's done this way is really, really good. But if you're very picky about, say, you're using a $250 quartz banger,

SpeakerYou know, or you've got really nice glass. You know, I would say the biggest kickback from those that are, you know, on the solvent side of things would say that it wouldn't, it may be not as clean on the nail. Thank you so much for joining us.

SpeakerThank you for joining us today.

Dr Mark ScialdoneDoes the color change on standing? I mean, does this, if it's exposed? No.

SpeakerThis is six months old.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, right. Well, what's the temperature that that's seen in the process?

SpeakerNone. None. There's no temperature in this. Oh, you mean like when the flower rosin's done? Yeah. That flower rosin was pressed really, really low. I would say 150 degrees to 170 degrees for three minutes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight. So a BHO extract that never saw that temperature would probably turn color Thank you so much for joining us.

SpeakerAnd I'm saturating it almost at a 45%, right? 40 or 50%. And so those terpenes and the post flower rosin are very, very stable once it's sonicated. You know, like once you put it together, it stays the same fluidity, which I thought was interesting. Now that you say that, because... What's the profile look like, Tony?

Dr Mark ScialdoneDid you post this one?

SpeakerOh, I got it. Hold on. Okay. Actually, I do have this one. Let's see. I didn't post it, but this is pretty cool.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHi, in Caryophyllene.

BubblemanAre you going to share it on your screen?

SpeakerYeah. Hold on a second.

BubblemanGood old screen share.

SpeakerOkay. Let's see here.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat would be cool. I'll forward this to Rich, too. If you could share this, I'll make sure that he's aware of this.

SpeakerOkay. Okay. Here it is. There's the turtle. Now, how do I do that screen share again?

BubblemanThe green button second from the top, and it'll give you options. I like to open the picture separate from the Hash Church box over to the left, and then it'll give you that option of just hitting just that picture.

SpeakerOh, look at that. Yeah. Boom. So you're seeing this image?

BubblemanYep. All I can see is Dog Walker. There you go. Now we can see more.

SpeakerOkay. Very cool. So this was off of, let's see here.

SpeakerYes. Oh, that's a funny number. 419. 0.6.

BubblemanLet's just round it off to 420.

SpeakerSo this is where you're at. So this is per milligram of cannabinoid profile.

SpeakerSo it's 352 THCA.

Speaker110 on THC. No CBN. No CBD. You see that, Mark?

Wood ThrushYes.

SpeakerAll right. So we're going to go down to terpenes. Let's see here. Oh, my God. Hold on a second. Oh, here we go. Boom. Lemonene.

BubblemanMersine, Pinene.

SpeakerNow, those look small, so you have to go down and look at the milligrams. So, let's see here. Hold on.

Dr Mark ScialdoneNo caryophylline.

SpeakerYeah, so hold on. Terpene concentration. There was another page to this that tells you what it was.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd I also... There's no caryophylline at all, right? I mean, just very little.

BubblemanThere's a little bit of B-caryophylline.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah. Beta-caryophylline. That's the caryophylline.

BubblemanHigh alignment. I know. Alpha-beta.

SpeakerI also have the... Something's not... It's not showing... That's why I never posted this, because this PDF that I downloaded was kind of convoluted, but it was like... I had this done again. Let's see here. I also have... I also have... So the one that... Actually, the one that... The last one was done... We did one at SC Labs, and I did one at Steep Hill. And the one at Steep Hill, I'll get.

SpeakerI'll get that for next time, because that one was like... Usually, they're really not very good on the... I don't want to say very good on the terpenes, but they don't have the spectrum that SC Labs has on this. So I have the rosin itself... On top of this. So hold on, let me see if I can do this. It's back now, right? Yep. Okay, let me pull up the actual rosin.

SpeakerOkay, so this is like the terp rosin. Let's see what we got here.

SpeakerAll right, green button. I love this thing now.

BubblemanYeah, screen share is pretty nice.

SpeakerIt's crazy. Okay, so you can see the dog walker turf rosin, right? Yep. So this is less saturation of terpenes. Nice golden color, too. Super glossy. 71%. Yeah, 71% THC.

BubblemanIt breaks it down.

SpeakerYeah, 71%. And then the terpene, here's the terpene on the turf rosin.

BubblemanQuite a bit more representing.

SpeakerAnd all I did was add more of the terpene profile to it. So that's why I had it retested. Now I remember this because the dog walker terp rosin with terpenes at a, I'd say, well, you can see the saturation.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat does the terpene profile look like, Tony? Do you have that?

SpeakerI think I do too. Yeah. So this was 9%. This was 9% terpenes. The other was like 40% terpenes. And all I did was add more profile to it. And this is what it was. And beta-carotene is a lot higher.

BubblemanYeah, it's a lot higher. Well, substantially 11. Luminine is still high. But you've got a whole bunch of things that didn't even show up in the initial one.

SpeakerYep.

BubblemanSo that goes to show you maybe they need to be getting a little bit more, like do you really have to add more to make it to show up or can they just test for a lesser amount? Why aren't they picking these things up in smaller amounts?

SpeakerWell, I'll tell you what's up. I think that the chart that was provided on the oil actually has a bunch of these things, but because they had it compressed down to such a small level, it was the way that it was. See how this is 90 and the other chart was like three, 400 right here.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThey were just there in much less quantity. That's all. Thank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAt very, very small quantities of material, the baseline starts looking really noisy, so it's difficult to distinguish a peak from the signal-to-noise ratio just as in what you want to see.

SpeakerSeems like something they would want to design specifically for terpene analysis that are, when these things are... Well, I see, I mean, look at, so Mark's point is, you know, both of you guys' point, I mean, the idea is the labs still aren't perfect, and I will find... The terpene profile of dog walker, because it lines up with these right here. When you see it, it's like this.

SpeakerAnd so all we did was saturate this, and those numbers didn't pop up. So I had it retested. And sometimes, I asked the lab this. We give them these very small samples. And, you know, sometimes, you know, like we don't want to give them bigger samples because, you know, how precious and how much it costs to us and things like that. But like I'm having to, I'm having to give like five milliliters of things, you know, for Prana to get an accurate test.

SpeakerAnd so I think that sometimes it's not a perfect world yet, you know. And you got to give, you got to sometimes test things two or three times because things, I don't know, you know, they do good, but is there room for improvement? I think so.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I mean, once they make a 100-micromolar solution and they have a standardized solution, they could run that several times. And like any one of these numbers that you see in this data here, Tony, you would hope that they wouldn't just measure it once and that's it, that's the number, that they would actually run it three, four, five times, especially if it's a test result like for pesticide or mold contamination that's going to basically disqualify a Thank you.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe other ones start to grow in that are from the original profile of the terpenes themselves. You could then say that, okay, no matter how we process our hash, if we need to bring back our original flavor of our strain, we can do it by reincorporation of terpenes. We were in the process.

SpeakerYeah, so that's been the whole goal. That's like why Bubble Man and I started talking and created that whole collaboration because that was my whole thing with hash rods. Full melt to me, when you do full melt proper, I mean, like, you don't need to press it. You know, it's full flavor. It's unbelievable. If you do sift proper, you know, that's as strong and as full flavor as you're going to get.

SpeakerThen now making the rosin makes it was something that was created because honestly, there was a lot of solvent in the market and people love started started dabbing. Thank you for joining us.

SpeakerThank you so much for joining us.

SpeakerYeah, exactly. It's there, but what Mark's saying is that little chart was not showing the parts that might have been so small. It didn't say zero.

BubblemanIt just said- It'd be nice if you could expand it and see that little bit of noise.

SpeakerThat's what I'm doing right now. I'm going to go in and find it. Perfect.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think it was John in intro last week who mentioned, again, the analogy of orchestra being the essence of the flavor of the plant. It's a full orchestrated thing that you could again take the violin and take the cello and take the tuba and take elements of those things out. When you look at limonene and you look at some of the major players in there, now what you see when you supplement is all the stuff coming up underneath the major notes of the fragrance itself.

SpeakerOkay, I found it. Okay, I found what we're looking for. Hold on now. Yes, we'll give that C-Labs the benefit of the doubt here. So let's look at it in... I don't want to bypass the labs, Tony, but I do have a gas chromatograph mass spectrophotometer available. Oh, yeah? Yeah. All right. Hold on a second. Let me show you this. I'm trying to share my screen... That was, that's on it.

SpeakerOkay, here we go. I think that's how I can do it. Let's see. All right. Yep, this is how we do it. Damn, this thing is cool. All right, so now you can see it blown up on the actual website. This is the same dog walker turf oil, okay? Can you all see that? Okay, so this is a half gram sample. So it hit like, this is all the same numbers, 464.

SpeakerNow you can see what was there. There are those same ones that are up here. They're all popping up, but not at very, very, very high numbers anymore because it's saturated with this limonene, myrcene, and b-pinene.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat's the total terps on that one, Tony?

Speaker400. It says 40.73%. So 400 milligrams. So 4%. No, no, no. It's 40. So this is 40.73%. Terpene. 40.73%.

SpeakerYeah, it's 40% terpene saturation.

Dr Mark ScialdoneBoom.

BubblemanThat's nice to see the balancing in there.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat was the milligrams per milligram on that one?

SpeakerMilligrams right up here. I mean, on total. So it's showing 464 milligrams per gram of cannabinoids.

Dr Mark ScialdoneNo, I meant terps. I'm sorry.

SpeakerAnd then it's showing, yeah, 40%. 40.73%, so that would be 407 milligrams, right?

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo if it's 40% terps, it's 60% cannabinoids, is that right?

SpeakerWell, the cannabinoids are 464 of that, so you would take 464 plus 407, and you're at 870. So then 464 back into 870.

SpeakerThat's 464. That's 53% cannabinoids and 40.7% terpenes.

SpeakerIn this oil that I was showing, what that John asked about. Same one in my hand.

SpeakerSo now we could go back to The terp, so now you can see this if you want to take a screenshot of that.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThat's a lot of terpenes, right?

SpeakerI mean, isn't the balance, Yeah, it's a lot of terp.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIsn't the balance on the plant like about 26% or, I'm trying to say the ratio of terpenes to cannabinoids.

SpeakerWhat's the right, Basically, on the terpenes to cannabinoids, there's 1% to 3% terpenes on the flower. If you're at 20% cannabinoids, you're pushing 10% terpenes?

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight, but what about the best dry sift that there is, the purest dry sift? What's the ratio of terpenes to cannabinoids there?

SpeakerI've seen like 15%, 12%. Sam knows like that, right? Yeah.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOh, your SIFT must be over 15% to 20% terpene content at times.

BubblemanNo, Sam? No.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo the ratio of cannabinoids to terpenes, that's the number that we were looking for.

SpeakerThe highest I've seen in a full melt, we hit like close to 80%. It was a high 70s with like 12 to 15% terpenes in a full melt, like really, really, really, really like six star quality. Like the Bruce Banner that was winning with the stuff we were doing tested that.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, so like 20% terpenes.

SpeakerThat would be the highest, absolute highest. That would be the highest, right. Because it gets really oily, so I would say a really good dry sift is probably, you know, you're definitely, I mean, you'd be 10 to 12 would be really good.

Dr Mark ScialdoneOkay, so Tony, again, I don't know if I'm saying this right, but is it correct then that this product has twice the amount of terpenes? Just in terms of ratio because you're going from something like 20% to dry sift to 40, right? Correct. You doubled your dose of terpenes here. Yes. Cool. Double down.

BubblemanDouble down. Double down. Which is kind of what we did, Mark, when we first started smoking really intense concentrates. The terpene content got much higher than it had ever been from the very small 1% to 2% to 3% that was available on the plant. We concentrated all that into our concentrates as well and I remember one of the competitions Tony entered in, someone had a much higher terpene content than one he added terpenes to and they hadn't even added terpenes.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe ratio is so far skewed now to having so much more terpenes that to me it's going to turn the entourage or the ensemble effect on its head. You're going to see ensemble effects that you're not going to see if you were just consuming either cannabis or really high-grade dry stuff. Yeah, so check this out.

BubblemanDefinitely the point.

SpeakerYeah, that's the point. The one thing that I was going to say is that the average, what you should have asked me is what's not the best in the world. That's like Cuban's dry sift. Yeah, he's going to be over 10% terpenes, I'm sure.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat's the ratio of terpenes?

SpeakerAverage, a really good live resin score or a very good score would be 7% terpenes. Like when you take a concentrate, like anywhere, anywhere between seven, you'll see it. Like that's like an average of like, that I'll see a seven. Someone that's really good, like Davalicious or Moxie or the people like Goldrop, you know, you'll see them, you'll see them score, you know, in a concentrate, you know, 15%, 20%, you know, but average people are probably around 10 or 11.

SpeakerSo this is like four times the amount of terpenes. And I can tell you that like I smoke, You know, that's why I started mixing the terpenes with the rosin, but at this concentration level, at this concentration level, you can put that on your flowers, you can drop that on a nail, you can vaporize it, you can put it in a pen. At this concentration level, it's like, Honestly, you'll smoke a lot of other things on the table with me.

SpeakerAnd the guy yesterday that I hung out with, we were hanging up my TV and different stuff. We smoked a bunch of different stuff. And then you hit that oil at that concentration and talk about a totally different experience. It's, I don't know. I would say it definitely triggers a much wider response range Throughout the mind and the body.

BubblemanOh, there's nothing comparing it. I mean, you do a terp dip like I just did and it's amazing. But if I took that whole thing of Kush cleaner and dropped a half a gram of my rosin in there and mixed it up until it was liquid and got what Tony was doing, man, I'm telling you, it is definitely, it's expensive like he mentioned, but it is next level.

BubblemanHad to be made available under the brand, that's for sure.

SpeakerYeah, and so there's, it's kind of been a... The blue label. Yeah, the Bubble Man blue label. So that's like our collaboration of coming together. And the hash, the hash version of that, you know, when you're pressing full melt, I noticed this. I feel like And I don't know why. I mean, you're a chemist, so there's a lot of questions that come up when I see coloration changes.

SpeakerBut when this is done with flour rosin, like I said, the taste is, I think, extreme. And then when it's done, and it's still very strong, but when it's done with the full-mount rosin, It feels like you're smoking hash versus the flower rosin in its taste. It has a hashier taste, but the way it hits you is, in my opinion, it's more targeted. I don't know. It feels like the type of terpene profile, everything seems to target the THC more with the flower rosin.

SpeakerIt tends to give more of an overload of sensories. Like if I was targeting, say, I don't know, four receptors versus, like, 30, if that makes any sense.

SpeakerThe hash rosin done in the turf oil is like very strong, hashy, makes you sweat. It's really strong THC. You feel it for, you know, six, seven hours long. The flour rosin, it's just super tasty. It's overwhelming in your mouth. And it's almost like a kind of a trippy experience, psychedelic experience.

BubblemanAre you clicking your pen?

SpeakerOh, wow. You can hear that, huh?

BubblemanOh, it's all what everyone's talking about in the chat right now.

SpeakerJesus. That's like so silent in the background. That's crazy. Well, you know, when you break into a sweat, it's because your vascular system has opened up. So something about that is causing your Thank you for joining us.

SpeakerYou know, and...

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe flavonoids are like the more highly colored of the compounds that are in cannabis. So flavonoids are much more highly colored than terpenes are. But yeah, they will degrade into colored materials. That's why I asked you about onstanding. You know, were you seeing any... The stuff got... Thank you for joining us.

SpeakerYeah, so if we look at like taking a plant down, chopping it down, flash freezing it within 15 minutes, and then running a live resin, you'll see amazing, and especially if you take that plant early, you'll see it white, you know, and it's got high exposure to monoterpenes. Those monoterpenes are volatile in that stage, and so it may not be the most stable product, but it's probably one of the most tasty products.

SpeakerYou know, you get that clear, sappy, white color.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAll those compounds, I think as Sam has pointed out when he shows us his vial of pure compounds, all of them basically should be either water white or absolutely clear, but it's the compounds, not the anthocyanins, but the things that make the leaves turn color when When the, you know, when fall comes, which are these highly pigmented materials where it takes a very, very little bit to basically make a highly colored, Thank you for joining us today.

BubblemanAnd I'm not saying that that's why that's colored.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, I'm not saying that that's the reason why that's colored like that, but I've worked with compounds like that, and they're very colored, very, very similar to that.

SpeakerSo let me ask you this. This is like what I think now, just a theory, but it seems like... And we look at strains like Gorilla Glue versus, say, Red Congo. And I use those two because one's high in mercine, the other one you'll see humaline and limonene. And then I'm seeing terpene trends with color trends where I think that maybe when these terpenes are exposed and they're connecting with, say, a flower rosin or a hash rosin, Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, so these are all single electron events and the interesting aspect about that is that the phenolic groups on both THC and CBD are antioxidants because what they do is they form a stable radical when there's other Thank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe ability for some of these thermal oxidative degradation mechanisms of some of the more sensitive compounds in cannabis extracts like the terpenes, which when you heat up in the presence of oxygen, will start to undergo reactions and start to make oxygenated terpenes. In fact, that's how linalool, which is basically oxygenated mercine, is made through basically the reaction of water with the Thank you for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneFrom the flowers that you use to make the rosin to begin with, it's a great way to show your customers that hey, we're reintroducing the natural dog walker profile. Here's the profile of the terpenes, here's the profile of the flower, and bam, here's the profile of our stuff that yeah, after it's been thermally treated, you're going to lose some terpenes, but if you could reincorporate The natural terpenes from that strain, that's pretty fucking cool to be able to tie that up like that.

SpeakerSo that was actually what I did with Prana. That was the whole concept where I had non-activated raw and activated and I was created the terpene. I was looking to create, capture the terpenes and reinstall them in the activator or decarboxylated line. And that's where this kind of started. And Mark was like, oh, let's do that with hash. Let's do that with Bubble Man brand. And that's like kind of what happened.

SpeakerBut we never got to ever talk about it like eight months ago because everybody was like so up in arms. You know, it was like, oh my God, there's like terpenes going back into hash and we could never get past. We never looked at anything. We could never get past that.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe investment that you make into your genetics is, I mean, let's face it, these things are cannabinoid producing machines, but what makes one genetic really different from another is really the terpene profile. It's really at the basis of the difference Thank you so much for joining us.

Dr Mark ScialdoneChewing gum and pancake syrup and before you know it, you know, the plain air that they recycle is going to smell like a particular strain. You know, you can't patent something. I wouldn't be opposed to that.

SpeakerWell, I'll tell you where the, I'm going to make a prediction.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe point is, I'll just finish my comment, is that you can't patent anything. Natural existence of this variety or in this strain. And it's great that you're sharing the data with everyone because now we can all look to see, hey, does our dog walker look like Tony's dog walker? What does our ice water hash look like when we make that? You know, if a BHO is going to look different, how does that look?

Dr Mark ScialdoneWhat's going to be the impact? And if you look at the different processing and the way you process it, if you always have the original terpene profile to go back, it's great to be able to say, look, we could make whatever product, we could always go back and resupplement with the terpene profile.

SpeakerYeah, I think that, you know how the era, you'll like this for music, how we went from analog to digital amps, right? And now people make music with GarageBand instead of hooking up their Class A amp, hook that into a MIDI, into an interface that then we could go into digital. That's what's happening right now with terpenes. The trend is going to be recreations, renditions, and giclées of profiles of cannabis.

SpeakerAnd there are companies out there trying to patent terpene profiles. I'm not one of those. I'm not one of those.

Dr Mark ScialdoneTony, you may not have been on when we were talking about this with John and Sam last week. We were talking about the perfume company or a perfume that can be made to resemble a strain of cannabis, whether it's skunk number one or, you know, I don't know. I mean, the notion is that you could put that essence in a bottle and have it. And, you know, it would be really cool to be able to, you know, be pulled over by a cop and spray that all around your car and not have one shred of cannabis in your car and have them freak out because the car smells like cannabis.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd then you show them your little bottle of cannabis perfume that makes it totally different.

BubblemanWhat would be better is if you could just have your car full of cannabis and the law just allowed you to drive by while giving him the finger.

SpeakerWell, here's the thing. You're not going to be able to stop this from happening. It's already happening. I've been calling them G-clays because in the art world, you have your original Picasso and then there's a bunch of posters that are very high quality replications. And so for us, we're going to be analog. I already know that. We're going to be the moog. We're going to be those guys that are analog.

SpeakerAnd it's really a lot more money until the cost of cannabis drops. But there'll be giclés and other things out there. And to create products for other people that want to have this on the masses, you can't really do it. You know, think about this. For a bottle of water, how cheap are you really going to get the terpenes? A dollar? A dollar fifty a drop? You know, and we're getting those, we're doing that in Jamaica right now and it's pretty low and it still costs what it costs.

SpeakerSo a bottle of water is going to, you're going to add at least, at least a dollar per bottle just to get it to taste like cannabis. So in a case like water or a drink or something like that, you have to, you have to create a way that maybe your base is cannabis derived and then you layer or you, you can, um, Thank you for joining us.

SpeakerYou put water in and drink it, but it tastes like grape juice or apple juice or soda or whatever you want. And they're terpene based and that's what's going to happen. They're going to, I'm afraid that they're going to do stuff like make the outside of a bag smell good and put crappy pot in it. Yeah, no, that's for sure. I mean, well, think about this. That was like the big concerns with a lot of the guys when I was doing terpenes before with genetic guys and breeders was, and I don't blame them because some of the guys that I'm referring to and hanging out with like Crockett and different people that grow amazing fucking flowers that like when you smoke the flowers, you're just like, I don't even know why I need concentrates or hash because it smells and tastes so good.

SpeakerBut like, you know, the people, when you tell them, hey, we've got terpenes in a bottle that come from that same flower. What do you think about spraying the buds? You know, yeah, because it's the best flowers with the best terpene sprayed on it. Well, maybe that's kind of cool, but the rest of the world is not going to work like that. The rest of the world is going to find ways to cut corners and cheat.

SpeakerAnd like you said, next thing you know, they're buying terpenes. Real, real C-grade bud, and they're making terpene profiles online, and they're mixing everything together, and then they're spraying the bud, and they're, yeah, I got to chemdog.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSpiced, right? Not even bud at all. Spiced, right?

BubblemanJust spraying it with orange crush. Look at how shiny it is, man.

SpeakerYou know, same concept. So that's, you know, I think there's, I think our, that's what brand should stand for is their integrity. You know, and I think that the industry is going to go through that. And I think it's okay to use g-clays or replication. You just have to tell the public. You just got to say, hey, man, we're not trying to tell you this is cannabis derived.

SpeakerWe're just trying to tell you that this is a replication or a rendition of that based on whatever profile. Like the organic can of beans versus the Monsanto beans. You know, exactly. So, I mean, that's why I was joking the other day about the raspberries, the strawberries, and the vanilla. Now, every time I go in the grocery store and I see natural flavoring, I stay away from vanilla, strawberry, and raspberry.

SpeakerI don't want the beaver turps. Yeah. You know, but there's plenty of people out there. That are getting beaver turps. And they're happy.

BubblemanThey love the beaver turps. Are you kidding me? You know, the day after we spoke about the beaver turps, for those of you that aren't aware, the natural flavor that comes from the gland that's in the ass of the beaver. Anyway.

SpeakerIt happens to be fruity flavored and is in vanilla, strawberry.

SpeakerVanilla, which is huge. Huge. Vanilla, strawberry, and raspberry flavoring. So that's why you have to buy those things raw and mix them in.

BubblemanSo that day I'm at a friend's place in the city and we're having a little dab session and I'm like, what's up with all those pens on your table? He's got like a hundred of these like disposable vape pens like, you know, stacks like this in plastic bags. I'm like, what's up with all these pens? He's like, He's like, I don't know, it's like distillate with like raspberry flavor.

BubblemanAnd I'm like, right away, I'm like, oh, do you know where that comes from, that flavoring? And he's just like, don't even fucking tell me. I don't even want to know. They're not mine. I'm holding on to them for a friend type of thing. He kind of avoided the bullet, but I sure laughed. I was like, he got a whole bunch of vape pens filled with raspberry flavored beaver ass secretions.

SpeakerAnd how many tens of thousands of those are floating around in people's pockets as we speak?

BubblemanOh my God. And they're putting them to their lips.

SpeakerListen, you know, I was out with Joseph and his woman the other night and we were at a place and they had, you know, strawberry lemonade. And I was like, oh man, I really want to do it, but I don't know if the strawberries are natural here. I think that place actually was, but it was a funny conversation because I had to sneak a little bit of the strawberry lemonade and I was like, oh, those beaver turps are good.

SpeakerYou know? Jesus.

BubblemanYeah. I don't know how it always comes back to the beaver turps. Usually when there's 666 viewers, we get onto the beaver turp thing.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThey're not turps at all. I mean, they're phenols. And they're highly flavored compounds.

BubblemanThat was awesome, Mark.

Skunk ManThey're phenomenal.

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, I'm just going by what I'm reading on Wikipedia here. It's basically castoreum, which is a complex mixture that's derived from the exudate of these castor sacks and mature beavers. And yeah, they're found in the...

BubblemanThey're phenols. They're phenols. They're not phenomenal. They're phenols.

SpeakerI like that other word, exudate.

Dr Mark ScialdoneExudate, yes, yes, exudate. Part of the exudate. But phenols, I mean, cannabinols are phenols too. So the compounds we love are phenols.

SpeakerAll right. So apparently, I think I can make those test results public. Let me see. Hold on a second. Oh, cool. Somebody was asking me to make them public. Let's see here. Oh, yeah, they're not public. I was like, oh, they're public? No, it doesn't allow me to. They will be after you show them.

Dr Mark ScialdoneHuh. So, John, we were talking last week, or maybe the week before, about the perfume, the perfume idea, the perfume content. So if you look at, like, one of Tony's profiles that he's trying to post here, which has got maybe, like, what, about 25 or 20 or 25 of the most prevalent perfumes, Thank you so much for joining us today.

SpeakerWhere, you know, how grown and so forth and so on. Those factors fit in too. But if it's the same species, it's done in the same area and so forth. The repeatability is about 115%. In other words, it works. It gets it every time.

Dr Mark ScialdoneAnd you're doing a low temperature extraction where if they were doing something like rosin formation, they're heating it up to like 200 degrees. I mean, you're going to see a different profile at 200 degrees than you would at low temperature.

SpeakerAbsolutely. Yeah. Yeah, and this was... This was, yeah, this is, I mean, this is Bubbleman and I talking a while ago when we were, the kind of the concept of reinstalling the terpenes to the rosin was, or was also like trying to keep up kind of with the live resin movement, you know? To offer a counter to something that was just as tasty and as strong, you know what I mean?

SpeakerBecause there's a lot of amazing things you can do with the right entain extraction.

BubblemanIt's amazing we went down the right path because we were at a crossroads. We were talking about creating that new company, Beaver Taint Extracts, and it was really just this sort of natural...

SpeakerWell, Tony, on the living part, over the years I've been taking pictures of crystals that form under specific circumstances. I might have mentioned it to you before, but maybe not. But anyway, if you take an essential oil and drop it on a drop of pure water, In a Petri dish in a bowl of liquid nitrogen, it'll freeze rapidly. You then take the whole thing out and insert it in a box that has a microscope in it that's been kept at five degrees.

SpeakerAs it starts to thaw out, When the point comes that the oil on top of the water starts to thaw, there's about a 25 or a 50 second window where if the extract was done the way I do it, it'll form a crystal and that crystal will be Thank you for watching.

SpeakerAs long as it's done the way we do it and kept it at a certain low temperature, the energy that was in the plant that made it alive is still present in the extract. Wait a second. Hold on a second. All right. Let me ask you one thing.

BubblemanWe've been through this before. I know exactly what you're going to ask him. Skeldo asked him last time, but go ahead.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYeah, go ahead. Go ahead.

SpeakerYou're telling, so just the point of crystal formation. Is it a three-dimensional replica of what it is in its bloom stage? Is that what you're telling me? No, what I'm telling you is, listen, nobody was more surprised than I was. And I got the idea to do that method from... Emoto! Mimoto, who was doing similar stuff with water and taking pictures of the crystals in the water.

SpeakerSo I wanted to see if there was a way that these same crystals or something like them would appear in the oil. And I didn't expect the crystal to form the flower. I just thought it was going to form some geometric figure. But instead, each and every time I did it, If I did it from a sunflower, you could see the center of the sunflower and the petals.

SpeakerKind of like this. You would see like a shape. Yeah. Okay. Better than a shape. I mean, it would be a three-dimensional crystal. That would be born instantly in that time period. And I've got a, listen, one day soon I'm going to publish a book of all the different ones that I've taken pictures of. And I've taken pictures of hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them under these circumstances.

Dr Mark ScialdoneA video would be really cool of that.

BubblemanYeah, Emoto made some pretty crazy videos of like water while like Beethoven was being played and it just would crystallize You can watch them on YouTube.

SpeakerI've seen that. I've seen that before. I didn't...

BubblemanBut you're saying it takes the shape of the... Well, what that water guy did was he basically did an example of when he put bad words on the water bottle, on the vessel that it was being carried in, that it seemed to pick up the vibration of that, and when he froze that water... It would be very non-geometrical and it would look fucked up and kind of like cancerous.

BubblemanAnd so he just, you know, when he used loving words and powerful, he believed that it was a way that we could like transfer the energy of prayer through water.

SpeakerYou know, what he's saying is molecularly he's transferred. So if he takes the oil from a sunflower and does that process, when he extracts it, when he extracts it, when he extracts it, okay. I'm not going into the extraction process, more of the fact that memory is kept in the molecular structure of what it would have been or what it came from. That's right.

BubblemanThat's the messages in the water. How else could the water remember? Well, wait a minute.

SpeakerI hear what Tony's saying, but why does that surprise you, Tony, is my question. Because how would you instead see it as separates?

SpeakerI don't know. I guess it has to do with the vibration. I guess it maintains a certain memory of vibration and the vibration and the I don't know, something keeps it in its structure. There's something called the niche theorem that I will take just a second to explain to you. If you go to Australia and dig up a pocket gopher, it's going to be a golden pocket gopher except for it's going to be a marsupial.

SpeakerIf you then travel to Madagascar and dig one up, you'll find out that it's a lemur. And if you travel to the southwest or to the United States or even Canada probably, you'll find that it's a rodent. Point being is there's an energy niche that needs to be filled along the gopher line. And whatever animal or whatever creature is available will fill that niche. It doesn't have to be the same one all the time.

SpeakerAnd that's present everywhere. You can see it in fruits and vegetables. Like how many different vegetables are there that taste like strawberry? Dozens and dozens of them. There's strawberry guavas and banana guavas. And all the different fruits and stuff are repeated hundreds and hundreds of times. And this is prevalent throughout the world. And Mark will tell you that being in a chemistry lab, that they all are connected together.

SpeakerThere's an energetic connection to all of it. And the fact that these oils would produce under the right circumstance, the... Thank you for watching.

SpeakerThank you for joining us.

SpeakerIn the bubbles, these crystals would spring to life. And now that I've got stop motion and slow motion camera equipment, I can't wait, Mark, to put that all together and watch some of those things happen. Because I think some of that stuff that happens is never seen by a living eye. And I saw a lot of them for the first time. And seeing that happen, Tony, is what really pushed me to the idea of trying to see if there was Something in the way of a life force that was going to show up at that moment.

SpeakerAnd so I spent a lot of time and effort developing that and I'm a real believer, although I have to say it's just a theory, that that is the life force exposing itself.

SpeakerCool. That is really the only explanation for That's what I think. I think you can tell me something. Tell me another answer for it. And I am ready to listen.

Dr Mark ScialdoneYou weren't supposed to see that.

SpeakerYeah. Yeah. Thanks. Yeah. That was a little glitch in the system. But my whole life's been serendipity. Everything that I've discovered, I don't like. That's like Tron. That's like when you could like discover that next. That's like discovering like if Tron was a real thing, you know, like they, They had a digital dimension. That's like discovering... That's like having proof in your hand of what you said, which is really cool.

SpeakerThat's why I stopped you. I was like, wait a minute. It makes the shape. I wasn't going to try to pull the how you did it, more like the result of what you were saying. I'll be glad to tell you exactly how I did it. It's a very repeatable thing because... For 10 years at the factory that we have, every single oil that we did, I was able to observe crystals in the chamber as it was being de-atmosphered.

SpeakerAnd again, a great number of them I did this very same experiment with to see how true it held. And just out of freaking curiosity, I mean, listen, you know, if the cat really did get killed from curiosity, that was probably me. And I'm just, I do everything I can that I wonder or think about might be possible or might show me something.

BubblemanSomeone in chat just said that beaver taint sells itself. I just thought I'd add that to the end of that important message there. Can't get away from this beaver taint.

SpeakerWell, it does sell itself, you know. I mean, you still like it. I just tried. I think all Canadian guys have a fascination with beaver taint, though. Yeah, that's for sure. That's for sure. It's like smelling your own fart, you know. You just want to smell it. You're okay smelling it, but no one else wants to smell it, but...

BubblemanThere's a lot more beavers in Canada than there is, I think, in the U.S. We've got a very dense population of beaver to guy ratio.

Dr Mark ScialdoneA beaver is extremely important in the settling of Canada, wasn't it?

SpeakerYeah. The only reason people went there, the fur was secondary.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe beaver trade was the reason why they had the French-Canadian War, right? Or the French-Indian War, I'm sorry.

SpeakerYou know the French. They'll do anything. In fact, the French are famous about smells, right?

BubblemanI'm not sure. I thought we were famous about our language, French.

Dr Mark ScialdoneI think they were just wearing beaver hats in the day, wasn't it? Right? Is that right?

SpeakerI think you're right, and I think that a lot of them left those glands in for effect.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo beavers were harvested just for a fashion item and that was the reason why Europeans came to Canada.

SpeakerJust so advertising beaver stuff, I mean, you know.

Dr Mark ScialdoneSo Mark, your forefathers came to Canada because of beaver.

BubblemanWell, I think it was more to escape the oppressive regime.

SpeakerWho didn't want them to have beavers.

BubblemanYeah, because my... Who didn't want them to have beavers. It's like, come on, man.

SpeakerJust because we're Irish and French... Well, you know, in the Midwest, it was a chicken in every pot, and in Canada, it's a beaver in every bedroom.

BubblemanOh, my God. Yeah. Some guy turned his beaver hat backwards and discovered the Terps. That's what happened.

SpeakerTurned into a big business, dude.

BubblemanThey're phenols, man. They're phenols. Phenols, yeah.

SpeakerHey, by the way, I wanted to ask Mark, what color are the phenols? Because I've never actually, what are they arranged from light yellow all the way to darker red?

Dr Mark ScialdoneWell, CBD itself is actually crystalline white. We've seen white crystals in CBD. Now, if you take that CBD solution and you treat it with a base like sodium hydroxide, you're probably going to get a red color because you're going to deprotonate one of the hydroxyl groups, and now you're going to make it a sodium salt, which could be colored. So yeah, it depends on the pH. But typically, those phenols should be colorless.

Dr Mark ScialdoneThe things that are colored, John, are the flavonoids. Those are usually red, reddish brown, kind of like the color of Mark's block of seven-year-old hash. Nine. Nine. Nine. I'm sorry. I stand corrected. Nine-year-old block of hash. Going to be a teenager soon.

BubblemanI've watched this hash grow up.

SpeakerI know beta carotene is about as red as you can get.

Dr Mark ScialdoneRight, right. And it's just a little bit of carotene goes a real long way. Lycopene, its cousin, is also highly pigmented. There's a little bit of lycopene in the skin of tomatoes. That's what makes it red. But yeah, carotene. But a lot of those, John, how much of those come through like in a butane extract? Really higher. I mean, carotene is like a polyterpene, right? I mean, it's got like, what, like C25 or something?

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt's huge, right?

SpeakerListen, you know, the thing about the process, the way we do it, because it's highly controlled and it's temperature controlled all the way from very hot to very cold. When we would extract those, we would get such an enormous return on it that the company that we were doing it for wanted to license the process after seeing the results the first time. You know, I think one company sent us a bunch of crab shells and we extracted the beta carotene out of all the shells and the shells looked afterwards, it looked like a ghost crab guard.

SpeakerAnd we had this enormous, deep, deep red. But we extracted it from a lot of different sources that they showed us. And it was a very effective extraction for beta carotene. And I can't remember what it is, but there's another herb that puts forth a very deep purple color that we extracted very successfully as well.

Dr Mark ScialdoneNot vertivere?

SpeakerMaybe it was. Vetivere? Yeah, maybe.

Dr Mark ScialdoneIt was vetivere?

SpeakerYeah.

SpeakerYeah. We just did so many things. Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of different things for them that it's hard for me to remember all of them that we did now, but all of them represented their own pains in the ass. But we learned a lot. By the time we got that catalog filled up, we knew how to extract a few thousand different things the right way.

BubblemanWell, I think that a solid four hours has been had today in Hash Church episode 103. I do appreciate everyone for stopping by and sharing your time and your stories with us. I hear my dog barking like a maniac in the other room. I'm thinking someone must be at my door. And it is a beautiful Sunday afternoon, so I think I would urge all of you to go out and do something that you enjoy.

BubblemanProbably not for Sam because he's probably just going to crash out. It's like 10 or 11 o'clock at night there, I'm guessing. So, everyone... Have a good day, good evening, good afternoon, and we'll talk to you next time on Hash Church 104. Thanks for watching, everyone.

SpeakerThanks, Mark.
