BubblemanAll right, here we go. Crazy.

Etienne FontanCrazy.

BubblemanMan. Now I've got to find the record button. It's crazy I can't find anything today. I'm so sick. All right, well, let's see if we are online yet. Let's try that out. This computer is not so good, but I hope you guys are all there. If not, you can hear me just... Pitching about this computer because it is not that good. I cannot.

BubblemanOh, look at that. I'm on, sweetie. I'm on. I got to figure out where the record button is, though. Ah, there it is. Record to this computer. Recording in progress. All right, everybody. Sorry about that. Welcome to Hash Church. What a great name for today's Hash Church, The Vegas Aftermath. And I basically am definitely ill.

SpeakerI got real sick last night.

BubblemanAnd oh, let me just close that so I don't have to listen to it. Welcome. Welcome, Caleb. Welcome, Colin. Thanks for the call. Holy shit. What a great name for me to name this show. The Vegas Aftermath.

Collin PalmerDude, the Vegas whoop flu, bro. I mean.

BubblemanWell, I'll tell you what it really is. I got enough Puffco's to have my own Puffco, but it immediately just turned into everyone's Puffco. And I shared that Puffco, I would say with at least 500 people, maybe more. So I have like the craziest chest infection, the craziest pounding headache, the craziest everything. But That will not keep me from doing my hash church. And that will not keep me from shouting out my sponsors.

BubblemanSo give me a second here. Give me a second. Holy shit, dude. That's so funny, dude. I get the call from Colin. Dude, what's going on? Are you like, what's going on, dude?

Collin PalmerOh, well, you know, I thought you were I thought something was wrong. I was like, everything good. And you're like, something was wrong. I could hear it in your voice, though, like immediately. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Anyway.

BubblemanAll right. Well, we're going to figure this out. I'm on such a small screen. My Zoom has disappeared all of the buttons that I need to use. So let me figure out how I can share this screen. And if I can do that, I'm going to put up my spot. There it is. All right. First of all, thanks, everyone, for being patient with me today. That was my first trip to the U.S. in like 27 or 28 years.

BubblemanIt's definitely not going to be a long hash church today, but it doesn't mean we're not going to still represent and have a conversation and talk about the madness that is me going to America for the first time in 27 years. So let's start it off with shouting out the press club. Just got to find them before we dive back into the sermon. Let me figure it out.

BubblemanAnd thank you guys for showing up. So trusted by top hash makers from around the world since 2016, the Press Club is your one-stop shop for award-winning solventless gear. From press bags to wash bags to presses to vessels, you'll find everything you need from wash to press. We're pretty big fans of the Press Club and what they're doing in the community, so we're excited to have them on board as an official sponsor for Hash Church.

BubblemanMade in the US, patented, pink stitch, zero blowout guaranteed, small family owned business, free expedited shipping. You can check them out at thepressclub.co and you can use the code hashchurch to take 10% off of your order. Next up, Zpuffco. Hash Church Family, before we light up the next bowl of truth, big love and massive respect to the crew that's legitimately dragging dabbing out of the dark ages and straight into the mainstream spotlight.

BubblemanI've mentioned it before, no one is turning on more people to dabbing than Puffco. Love them or hate them, I love them. They're doing it. These guys aren't just making devices, they're rewriting the culture. The new proxy is straight up masterpiece. Actually, I hit it quite a few times with Caleb. Modular and hits like it's personally offended by weak rips. Then they went and dropped the 3D XL chamber on the Peak Pro, 80% bigger cloud, same flawless flavor, zero extra effort.

BubblemanIt's a cheat code. Every hash had prayed for it and don't sleep on the pivot. Pocket-sized perfection that finally makes real dabs portable without turning your sessions into a science experiment. Puffco isn't following trends. They're setting the bar so high the rest of the industry needs a ladder. Proud to rock with them every Sunday. If you haven't, do yourself a favor and step into the future. Puffco, the official dab rig of Hash Church.

BubblemanYou know, I think I have one right here. Look at that. And also to Bubble Bags, of course, shout out to Bubble Bags. We're still on 60% off. You can check us out at bubblebag.com. And if you use hashchurch code, you get another 10%. So I think it's 50% off plus that 10 gives you 60. It's pretty good. In the meantime, I got to shout out Caleb because the best dab I had in Vegas was brought to me by Caleb.

BubblemanThat Jack Harer, Veggie Earl, the Veggie Earl crew. He also brought the crew. So it's not like he's trying to pass it off as his. First, he brings the dabs. It was unbelievable. It was like smoking Jack Harer from like 98, except we didn't have Jack Harer, Live Hash, Rosin. So it was kind of on another level. It was really quite funny. I would strategically hit people Who were so exhausted and tired.

BubblemanIt looked like they were gonna fall asleep and I'd give them a hit and then they'd come out and then they almost looked like they took a bump of cocaine or something. They were just like completely on full power.

BubblemanThat was a really, really nice thing. It was also super good to see you in person, Caleb. I think we had quite a bit of fun. I definitely called Caleb a lot. He had a whip, so it was easy for him to like, yeah, dude, come on down. Let's do this. So cheers to you, Caleb.

SpeakerCheers. It was great to meet you in person, finally.

BubblemanYeah, dude, absolutely. Absolutely. And you know what? I did get lucky in the sense that I only really got this Wook flu on the plane on my way home. So, and I had it yesterday. We went out on the mountain. It was unbelievable to leave Las Vegas and go to Whistler, which is where I am right now. What a crazy contrast to go from Vegas to Whistler.

BubblemanAnd yesterday it was just giant snowflakes. Beautiful powder. I was riding with my son and wife, you know, just on the side of the runs because that's where all the stash was. And I suspect we're probably going to do it again today if I don't die.

Collin PalmerHoly smokes. I don't think you're going to die. You're going to get there. You're just you're dealing with the you know, it's funny. Planes always do it, man. They they get you because it's that that recirculation. I know they got the HEPA filter, but it's like, you know, not enough. Not enough. Yeah.

BubblemanHe got the, bingo, he got the flu from burner. Actually, I didn't. I don't know who I got the flu from because I don't remember really meeting anyone that was noticeably sick, which at the Cannabis Cup you'd see all the time in Amsterdam. I didn't really see anyone noticeably sick, but I will say that I'm sick. You got the whoop cough, huh? I got, well, yeah, it's like in my head, in my chest.

BubblemanI'm a pretty healthy guy, so I'm hoping that I'm going to push this out, but... It's rough.

Collin PalmerYeah, it was my fault for the cookie flu. I typed in Wookiee flu and autocorrect put in cookie and I hit return before I could see it and it was the running joke of the morning. Nice. That's hilarious.

Etienne FontanChocolate chip in, huh?

Collin PalmerI just went with it. I was like, well, that's the cookie flow. I guess we can.

BubblemanI will say yesterday, once I was on the mountain for a while, my throat felt better. My head felt better. I just needed to get like this cold air. And so maybe that'll be the fix today. But wow, man, headache, dehydrated, crazy chest pain. But I couldn't have named this episode better. I don't think I've been late, almost an hour late for a hash church ever.

Collin PalmerI don't think so. That's a good call. I mean, I popped on and I was like, when I saw the room hadn't started, that's when I wrote that email. I was like, hey, I just wanted to check in. I just wasn't sure if there was like no show. And then I went on the YouTube channel and I saw everybody just talking and they're like, oh, I text Marcus, blah, blah, blah.

Collin PalmerAnd yeah, it's really, you know, it happens, man. I said it in the chat, like it's either you overslept or life happened. And that's exactly what happened, life. But, um, so how, how was your favorite, dude, what was your favorite thing about Vegas, man? Like unload, like, I'll be honest, I know you're tired and sick, but like, you know, I was so stoked for you, dude. And I was so FOMO.

Collin PalmerLike, I was like, I can't believe I'm not there with Marcus being here.

BubblemanI was so like pissed, but, uh, I mean, it was amazing, dude. I smoked bubble man brand rosin the whole time. My partners from Colorado brought out some really nice product, which was, um, Pretty cool. You know, that pineapple bliss was really quite lovely. There was a couple that were really, really nice. And I mean, I got so much hash given to me. I don't even know how much hash I had given to me.

BubblemanIt must be like, like 30 or 40 grams. So I was able to really kind of pass that out. In fact, there is a jar from Craig who just came into the room floating around with some dude who I was, I was also supposed to get. So there were jars that I managed to get. There were jars that I didn't manage to get, but all in all, I was pretty stoked.

BubblemanOriginally, I was like, I love America. I was so jacked. I'm like, I love America. I love America. I can't remember if it was Caleb or who it was.

Collin PalmerYou and Eddie Murphy?

BubblemanYeah, he was like, you're Eddie Murphy. That's what he said. He said, you're Eddie Murphy, dude. You're Eddie Murphy. So I was like, yeah, I guess I am Eddie Murphy.

Collin PalmerOh, man. That's great, though. But, you know, it's so cool because... I've been friends with you for over 20 years. I've never seen you in the United States ever. And for you to swing down... And do this event and see all these people that are congregating at once must be so exciting. It must have felt the way I felt in a way when I met you in Amsterdam after getting off tour.

Collin PalmerAnd all of a sudden I was like an onslaught of people and everyone's just giving me weed and all this stuff. And I'm like, oh my God, this is so amazing. And I'm here with friends and... Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanMy crew was full maniac level. Yeah. I didn't realize how like sort of forward the psychedelic movement is in America. I mean, there was LSD spritzers and cactus gummies and all sorts of different things that were A-OK. I did bump into one dude that was hilarious. I bumped into Dog Face. The dude that went viral riding the skateboard. Yeah, the ocean spray, yeah. Nice. Yeah, that was fun.

BubblemanDoesn't he have a farm?

Collin PalmerHe has a farm or something like that?

BubblemanYeah, it was funny because I stopped him and I said, dog face. Dude's just super, you know, famous from his viral moments. So he's just so used to people kind of shouting him out. Two minutes, no, two seconds into me saying dog face, his farmer, Dog Face Farms goes, are you Bubble Man? And so we had this funny little experience where I was kind of like, you know, meeting him and his farmer was meeting me.

BubblemanAnd it was it was just super cool. I would show the picture, but all pictures have not moved over from my, the phone that I was using to the computer that I'm using now. And unfortunately, but dude, I bumped into so many people in so many different places. It was, it was great. It was definitely, you know, I felt what I've been kept away from for so long.

BubblemanIt was, it's a lot, you know, not being able to go down there for 30 years was a, Yeah, it was a lot, you know, and then people are, people are taking it for granted, right? It's like, it's kind of like kids that go to too many fish shows. And you're like, I'm like, I've only gone to one in five years. And so I'm like, that was awesome.

BubblemanAnd they're like, if they play down with disease one more time, I'm gonna throw up. It's like, oh, shit. So there were people like that, that were just like slagging MJ BizCon and like upset. And I just said, man, like, you know, if you find yourself in a miserable place, maybe this isn't for you anymore. Because I was just like, I'm just, I was just like getting to see all my different people and friends.

BubblemanAnd I mean, I try to link up with Craig like hard. It was that was that was the one disappointment, Craig, not linking up with you, dude.

SpeakerNext time. It was the biggest game of Marco Polo I have ever played. I mean, we were centered around this jar that I had of slights cut from Barcelona that I grew at Alpenglow and simply Adam washed, Caleb got it. You know, people, I was keeping it virgin for the first 24 hours. And then I was like, this is, I better start like letting tasters go out of this.

SpeakerAnd then, then we never, we never linked, man. We never linked. We sure tried super, super hard. And, and Marcus, I agree with you, man. This was, Melanie and I haven't been to Vegas in our adult life. I'm 55. And we've never been to MJ Biz. And yeah, it is what you make of it. And we made the most of it. And we had a blast. And we were there to get our award.

SpeakerWe were awarded MJ Bowl Best Sun Grown Flower in California with our jack. And it felt amazing to be with MJ. Be there under that cultivar, you know, standing on the shoulders of giants and just being able to repeat that name and a little bit of Jack's story. And it was fun. And, you know, I'll go a little bit deeper. And the buddists that put on the contest, they ran it in a different way.

SpeakerLike they didn't give contestants the microphone or the winners the microphone. They gave us a press room, right? With multiple reporters in different rooms. So we we did the accepted the awards and then we went right off to a press conference and was able to give like solid, you know, verbatim what we felt and what we did and, you know, messages we all wanted to get across.

SpeakerRight. Everyone's got their own little message they want to drop. So we are able to drop our little seeds of messaging we wanted to get across directly to an amplifier that's going to go around the world, hopefully. So that was fun.

BubblemanThat's amazing. Listen, one of the things that blew my mind, really blew my mind, was how many people, the first one was from Mach Technologies, the kid that invented the ATS, the Jet Sieve unit. I don't know if you went and saw it. I wish I remembered his name. Really, really good kid. He told me straight up, he's like, I invented this listening to you and Skunk Man Sam talk on Hash Church.

BubblemanHe said this, and I'm looking at this crazy machine that's like this final boss on static sift and cleaning the heads to the final level.

Etienne FontanAnd I just thought, holy crap, man, like that's... That's the portable unit, right? I saw that they were... No, this is not portable. You're thinking Sambo filtration.

BubblemanThis is mock technology. So... The unit, the dry sift room that Logan, Wolverine Dabs, has built for himself is a tumbler that you're going to tumble your sift on. Then you're going to collect that, you're going to put it in a four-screen vibratory seed. That you can get from Sambo. That'll prepare the resin to be poured through the static sifting machine, which is the plasmatic sifter. And they had all sorts of different sizes, the desktop, the R&D.

BubblemanThey had a $15,000 unit, and then they had a $30,000 unit, and then they had a $70,000 unit with the biggest plates I've ever seen. So, and then the final machine is a different company. Again, it's called Mock Technologies. And they, it's like a jet sieve. You put a top on it. It's blowing around. The heads are staying on top. There's a vacuum sucking underneath and it's pulling stocks and contaminant.

BubblemanAnd in a very short period, you can turn, you know, contaminated dry into pure heads. So it's just kind of like the final piece on that. And yeah, it was amazing to have him be like, dude, like listening to skunk man, Sam and yourself on hash church is literally how I made this machine. And I, I heard that story a couple of times, man. Like, I'm telling you, what we're doing on here is really moving the needle and it's inspiring people.

BubblemanAnd it made me feel like when people were finally telling me this stuff, that it's important to tell people when they inspire you, that you want to let people know, because I had no idea that, you know, I mean, I hope that Hash Church is inspiring people, but unless people tell us, we don't have a bloody idea whatsoever. Obviously, I know That Wade inspired people because I get messages every single day about him.

BubblemanBut for the rest of us mere mortals, it's nice to know that we're, you know, somewhat moving the needle the best that we can.

Collin PalmerWell said, man. Yeah, no, I think it's, you know, in those that are not able to buy a Mach 2, you know, there's a term for this. It's called a vac tech and you can 3D print a Thank you so much for joining us.

Collin PalmerTo kind of, you know, to follow up with what Mark is saying to see these machines in present day, because these are, these are little incremental steps that were happening until these big broad steps with engineers and people that have different skill sets. And they're taking these ideologies and as Mark has said, they're learning from Those of us that have been so passionate about figuring it out in a DIY sense, and they're elevating that in ways that are just so beyond our wildest dreams.

Collin PalmerIt's amazing. So I, you know, well said, Marcus. I think that's so cool. And it's great that you are getting that because you do inspire people, Marcus. Like that's it's it's I mean, you've inspired me since, you know, we met. I mean, I and it continues to happen. Right. Even as friends, you know, so. You know, it's great that you're seeing that because I hear it all the time from people, you know, just so you know that people say that about you all the time to me.

Collin PalmerSo, yeah, so I think it is important. And you're right. Sharing these concepts are what does move the needle, even if we don't see it every day. Someone's out there thinking about it because I think about it in the creative sense sometimes, like 1% of... Most people are going to take a 10% of an idea and make it into something, right? It's really rare that you see someone take a simple concept and go all the way like Mach 2 did.

Collin PalmerIt's a very difficult thing. That's for sure.

BubblemanAnd of course, if you don't have the kind of funds for such equipment, a 200 line per inch screen in your hand is going to be that Skunk Man Sam methodology. I think personally, no matter how many machines you have, the hand, that Skunk Man Sam component of purifying gland heads to 99.9% purity will always have a place in my... And I'll tell you, when I originally started doing this...

BubblemanWe didn't wear gloves. Like the first time Sam showed me, it was just on his hand. He never wore a glove, which was incredible because it meant everyone that ever took a rip off Sam's hash came from his hand, like right from his hand, not a nitrile glove, not a rubber, whatever, like Sam, the skunk man's hand, which is pretty, pretty epic.

SpeakerMarcus, you probably have some of that hash around still that has touched Sam. And, you know, one thing I want to, you're talking about Marcus inspiring people, Colin, and that is doing what we're doing here is a spoken word. All of these things. And Caleb could probably speak volumes to this because this is kind of like a little bit of his studies and coming in as a younger guy into this arena and being able to hear some of these stories.

Speakerfirsthand from the person that was listening to it the first time right and we're still in that point in history that is gives me chills it's really we're still at this point in history where we can talk about these legends and you know one of us was maybe in the room with them so It's special.

BubblemanAbsolutely. Speaking of legends, I just got a message from Dragonfly Earth Medicine. Didn't want to go into details, but they want to get Hash Church to do a prayer for the Snodgrass family. They're going through some pretty heavy shit right now. He said without giving any details, that would be appreciated. Just put your prayers out for the Snodgrass family. They got some things going on right now.

BubblemanAnd yeah, we just Put our positive energy out there for those sort of legendary. I mean, my goodness.

Etienne FontanLove towards the Vatican, as our friend would say. It's time to puff some in the Snodgrass family's honor because, yeah, I have a few Snoddies myself that I've collected over the years and. Yeah, the Snodgrass family is pioneers for those who don't know in glass blowing, especially Bob Snodgrass. He created the top hat pipes as well as the whole color changing pipes, usually fuming silver and gold in them.

Etienne FontanAnd then, yeah, they were a big thing for sure in the early custom glass pipe that everybody on the dead lot sought and wanted. That spawned everybody else.

BubblemanTotally. My first glass pipe was a Hugh Grass. And I was like, who's Hugh Grass? Well, apparently it was one of his old students that studied under him. I got that pipe in around 90... Thank you for joining us.

BubblemanYeah, we think about him every so often. Hillary brought him up the other day on the Compassion Club episode. He was Mark Emery's original partner in Hemp BC when he started his own thing in Victoria. But yeah, the moral of that story is do not smoke DMT on a glacier fed lake at one in the morning on a canoe. But God bless him if you knew him.

BubblemanIf you knew him, you would be like, yeah, that sounds about right. Like that's what he was doing. Just wild. Everyone's got to do their thing. Oh, my wife made me some tea. She's got me like all sorted out with lozenges. Oh my God. First of all, I need to shout my wife out for putting up with me and being the most amazing human being ever. She's over there kind of probably shaking her head at me.

BubblemanAre you shaking your head at me, sweetie? Oh, well, you're welcome. Thank you. My goodness. Don't thank me. I'm thanking you. I will never... Change my mind. I hear a lot of people say, women. I hear a lot of women say lately that we don't need men. Well, I'm here to let you know, men absolutely need women. We need you. We love you. And thank the Lord that you're here.

BubblemanBecause if it was all dudes, kind of like Vegas was the first couple of days, that would be a little rough.

SpeakerWithout my boss mama, there would not be an Alpaglow, that's for sure. Boss mama runs our show 1 million percent. Yeah, you got a good one, dude. You got a good one.

Collin PalmerBig thanks to the feminine energy in everyone's life. It's awesome. Oh, my God. I think you guys have a really good perspective on Vegas. You know, hearing, you know, Craig and Marcus, you know, I share that same sentiment when I go there. I kind of come with my arms wide open, my ears wide open, eyes wide open kind of mentality, mouth wide open. Let's eat food and go explore.

Collin PalmerYeah. You know, I don't, I try not to get into the, I can't believe people do this here or whatever that those types of thoughts. Like it's, it's like, I don't know. I go surf in the jungle. Like that's my type. That's my idea of like a great time. Like probably doesn't seem like they would enjoy that. Right. So I understand the flip side of it. Right.

Collin PalmerAnd, and I think that's a healthy way to kind of view it and it can be really rewarding. And I think you're, Taking all the greatness out, you know, and highlighting why you're there, Craig, because you're like you're talking about what's important to you, you know, why the plant matters, why what you do matters within the plant. And, you know, there's been a lot of talk about streaming services and artists and things like that lately.

Collin PalmerAnd I wanted to kind of bring this perspective from that into gardening. And it's like if we if we don't devalue who does the thing, we devalue the thing. Ultimately, and we need to value the farmer like we need to value the artist. And it's odd to me that we value middlemen such as I eat a retail door and no shame to retails. They're great. We all play a role.

Collin PalmerBut it all is a really it's a togetherness that I think we're missing. And I feel like people, consumers need to know you, Craig, your wife, Melanie, your farm, your brand, and that connection to these things. And I think that's really important, man. And, and,

Collin PalmerGood on you for going there and taking advantage of the opportunity to get your voice out there because that's exactly what I try to do. I know that's what Marcus tries to do. Forget the, you know, someone, yeah, we know all the other stuff's happening, but that's not why you're here. It's like the wrong focus of energy, you know?

SpeakerAnd you're, and you're, And your other line, you know, you could even talk about, like, you could sample an entire album and put it out and never have someone actually play. And it's like Vegas was built on a plant and a farmer and showing up there, you know, we were like, should we go? Should we not go? You know, like, because once we're going because to accept the award and then we're like, we have to go.

SpeakerWe have to go, right? All the equipment was built to process this plant. All the people there are here to, you know, get our legalese together to, you know what I mean? There was every kind of concept of the business and it felt really good. And, you know, one last thing, we would go up to some booths and people like try to sell us the latest widget or whiz bang thing to do this or that.

SpeakerAnd we're like, no, it's, we grow in the earth and under the sun with some chickens. And, and they're like, well, whatever. And I go, yeah, to the point, like the people have spoken and feel that what we're doing is right. And they were just like, you know, they didn't have much to say after that. These are the widgets. These are the widgets you guys have right here.

SpeakerYeah, and you know, you don't need heaters and plastics and all those things when you're dealing with Humboldt County. Southern Humboldt is the sole center of Sun Grown. I kept saying that the whole time. It's like to have a climate right there that does just what it does to the plant to produce the absolute fire. And when you look around the room, even there, The majority of the words came from Humboldt County.

SpeakerAnd that's huge. That's really huge. And even in California right now, most of the awards come back to Humboldt.

BubblemanIt's the center of the cannabis universe, dude. Like I said, the dab that Caleb brought me, the Jack Hare, like pre-98 or whatever it was. Yeah, that was grown in Petrolia. That's right.

Etienne FontanThat's right.

BubblemanThat's right. So that was representing the best dab that I tried while I was there. And I tried a lot of dabs. I had people coming up to me. I had one guy from Washington State. He almost missed his flight. His wife told me the whole story. He pulled out rosin that he wanted to share with me. He was really a nice kid. He pulled it out in parchment.

BubblemanAnd of course, I was busting his balls a little bit because I hadn't seen rosin in parchment. He had like ounces of honey banana and all these beautiful like in parchment. And he had like you could tell like he had just grabbed a sheet and folded it 19 times. And, you know, he's just nervous. And He was just one of the nicest dudes I met. We sat with him at a table with him and his wife probably for around 40 minutes, you know, sharing, sharing their dabs.

BubblemanHe gave me jars of dabs, which I ended up sharing with a ton of people. He had a papaya, he had a honey bananas, he had all the good stuff. And so he was a real pleasure to meet as well. And then I got to give a shout out to Michael and Andrew and the entire Arcana crew. So that was day one. I landed. I called Caleb pretty much right away.

BubblemanI was like, hey, dude, are you in Vegas? And he's like, yeah, dude, I'm in Vegas. I'm like, well, come on down. So he came down and ended up coming to this dinner. It was Raskia's birthday party. And, you know, all the whole Arcana crew, Josh D was, Reverend Fuji was there with some of the nicest OG Kush flower buds that I have ever seen. I mean, it was straight out of 1993, which is the year that he said he'd been growing it since.

BubblemanSo he had some really, really nice things. It was nice to smell jars that didn't smell like hay or have a jar flavor to them at all. This was like a very high level of just awesome people. And we ended up sitting, they rented out the whole restaurant. What was it? The Fresco Italiano had some beautiful eggplant Parmesan and just, I brought my whole crew. So I had my buddy Ted from Missouri, my partner there.

BubblemanI had my partners, Ryan and Drew, who's our sales guy in Colorado, as well as Daniel, who's a partner of mine in New Mexico, as well as Colorado. And so it was really cool to like roll with this, this group that has been, you know, working with me for a couple years now. Never, you know, I had met Ted, he came up, but a lot of these people I had never met.

BubblemanAnd that is definitely, unique to have that kind of relationships with people that you've never met and i gotta say like i think a big part of it for sure for people with me is hash church it's like okay i've never met this guy but i have watched like 492 episodes of hash church and i'm pretty sure that's who he is like i'm not an actor i don't know how to be like bubble man on camera and then be some other dude off camera i just that's not who i am

Etienne FontanBut yeah, it was really, really... You're like this all the time, people. He's like this all the time. And we love you for it.

BubblemanEddie Dabbs 24-7. Eddie Dabbs 24-7. And staying in the most Vegas hotel ever. I was staying at the Cosmopolitan, which was like walking with Caleb through the Cosmopolitan. And it's just like, whoa, this is a very trippy place. People zombied out and gambling and smoking, smoking darts inside the building. That blew my Canadian mind. I'm from Vancouver. Like we shame people for smoking darts. We're like California, but like obviously behind California because they do it first.

Etienne FontanFor us non-understanders, what's a dart? Cigarette. Okay, a dart and a doink's a joint. Okay, there you go, ladies and gentlemen. Know the lingo. Dink and a doink.

Collin PalmerYo, it's a trip, isn't it? Seeing people like in 2025, like just like three in the morning, just like, like ripping, ripping butts.

Etienne FontanAnd pulling the lever at the same time while putting a sip of their alcohol.

BubblemanDude, it's not, it's not a lever anymore. It's a button. I saw the odd lever. Yeah, it's a button. It's a button. They're just like... And it's a receipt. It's not even coins anymore. Exactly. Well, I was there for four or five days and I can promise you I did not even put a 25 cent. I said to a few people, I might have said it to Caleb, I am 100% uncorruptible by Las Vegas.

BubblemanAll the things that people love by Las Vegas, they just don't affect me in any way. Now, I will admit some of the people I was around, I saw them getting affected by it. You know, start with like a couple of beers and then it'd be like, we should do some gambling. Let's go get a steak and drink some beers and do some gambling and smoke some.

BubblemanAnd you can just see it like how it taps into people. It's definitely a slippery slope, but I'll never go there to gamble. But I'll certainly buy the odd shirt for my wife.

BubblemanYeah, dude, that was fun. And Puffco laced us up so hard. So shout out to those guys. They were supposed to have Puffco's shipped to Colorado for my partners. And they were going to come in with them. Those never made it. So they, you know, James went double time and ended up having me go by the booth at the event and hooked us up with Peak Pros and Blades and, you know, proxies, which I gave away at the end of the event I had no interest in.

BubblemanYou know, bringing another Puffco home, I've got enough at this point in time, but it's such a nice thing that they give me the opportunity, as well as ATN and anyone else really, to give away Puffcos. It's such a nice feeling.

Etienne FontanI have to say it was quite wonderful because there were limited choices in South Africa to donate them and you know they're like sure no problem absolutely do so you know because it's just uh yeah countries uh some countries it's hard to get uh puff goes into and uh not only that just the sheer price so it was a fun to gift those two fields of green for all because they're also part of the chiba university so they're educating people about hash how to make hash They also work on, you know, mothers and clones and stuff like that on the farm.

Etienne FontanSo, you know, a lot of people come through and are getting a lot of education. I just saw a whole class that just educate from Chiba University through their, the fields of green for all the other days. So, you know, you never know. We'll see you next time.

Etienne FontanAnd I'm literally right now making a special joint for you right now with about 12 different herbs and about 12 different hashes. But it's also including my mix that has my BHO rosin mix and also has snakes of my water hash. So that's been going since 2008. And then this has been going on through 2012. So. Wow. So you put everything in there, including a partridge and a pear tree?

Etienne FontanWell, the partridge you leave because that's it's going to dangle from that as you hand it over. Right.

SpeakerI want to show the gift I'm giving ATN. I found this at a rare book festival. It's right. Marijuana, signal of misunderstanding, but it was owned by a certain person and is covered in notes. And I need to give it to you. So I'm excited to see you later today.

Etienne FontanThose who don't know, Dr. Todd McCurry was my mentor as well as my first doctor to write me my medical recommendation. And I was fortunate to be by his side the day before he passed away, visiting him because he was an amazing man. If you aren't familiar with marijuana, The marijuana papers he put out, which was he was an army psychologist and he put out amazing stuff.

Etienne FontanAnd man, we miss him. He started this organization called Be Cool, which was the Berkeley Cannabis Ordinance Oversight League, because Berkeley in 79, by passing A law by literally raffling off a kilo on the steps of the city hall, they ended up making marijuana the lowest priority for arrests. So Be Cool would oversee the arrests when they were released and would actually go to the police and actually chastise them if they were arresting too many people for marijuana.

Etienne FontanThis is way before, we're talking 79, 80 people, you know what I'm saying? So way before his time was out there as a psychologist, literally chastising the police for arresting people for marijuana because you should not be doing that by the law. And just the organization's name, Be Cool. I mean, come on. I mean, it's just a whole level of just awesomeness that was Dr. Todd McCorea.

Etienne FontanSo I will sing his praises till I die because he was so fucking awesome. He was also the first person to take me lobbying on in Capitol Hill. It was him and Dennis Perrone. And you want to talk about an odd set of people of the spectrum to go to, you know, Capitol Hill with, you know, yeah. Dennis Perrone walks into Senator Waxman's office, puts his feet up on his desk and goes, so Senator, what you got going on?

Etienne FontanI was like, wow, they did not teach me this in civics class.

Etienne FontanSo yeah, sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent, but wow, that sparked my heart. So thank you, Caleb. Gotta remember those who are the shoulders we stand on.

BubblemanAbsolutely, man. 100%. I'll tell you after that trip, I am going to be in the U.S. a lot in 2026. I will definitely come to California for the first time. First time ever going to California. How crazy is that?

SpeakerYou're definitely going to the Humboldt County.

BubblemanYeah, dude, I'm going to spend time in Humboldt County. Absolutely. I can't even believe it.

SpeakerWe'll take you from corner to corner to corner and give you the biggest farm tour in your life.

Collin PalmerIt'll be fun. I'll fly out for that, man. I want you to come to New York too, man. I want you to come to the East Coast. I want to take you up to Maine, show you all the farms up there. It's so much diversity, man. It'd be cool for you to see how different NorCal is from the East Coast. It's it's really the environment like Craig, your environment is so you guys are so blessed like to have this.

Collin PalmerIt's like nature, you know, nature's chemists and, you know, nature's controls just like super dialed all the time, you know, it's just so wonderful, man. It's really, you know, like I was at Ian and. My good friend Adam, they run Mendocino Grasslands and I was on their farm and they have just such a cool property up there. It's so beautiful. It's, you know, it's the markets. You should definitely go up there and check out that as well.

Collin PalmerWow. Yeah, it's going to be.

BubblemanI'll go see Brian for sure in Maine, which is funny because it is very different. But Brian brought the West Coast to Maine. A lot of what Brian's knowledge and history is from, you know, from California. So it's pretty cool how California has, you know, way before Hash Church inspired the cannabis community and industry in a way. I've always said that it's the center of the Thank you.

BubblemanThank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

BubblemanYeah, I got turned on to that in the early 90s. It was the first time I went to the Kootenays and I dug holes with my friends and we mixed soil and we planted, I'll never forget, the A1 Magenta. This plant was purple and so beautiful and it had a very coffee-esque flavor profile to it that was just super unique. Gotta love remembering things from the past.

BubblemanYou kind of get nostalgia mixed in there and you get a little bit of accuracy and some non-accuracy and you create these incredible memories. Shout out to my homie, Neil, who hooked me up with his little haze rosin. So I've got the nice haze rosin. Here at home, I know Caleb would be all over this. I can promise you.

BubblemanSmells like just perfume. Some of that, some of that Jack, man, you blew it out and then it would take a couple seconds to sort of translate in the air. And it's like, I don't know what was happening, but it seemed like, you know, you just had to wait a little bit for some of that profile in the air to, to volatize and disappear. And then the flavor profile that was left was just complete and total perfume.

BubblemanAnd so that was... It's funny you say that.

SpeakerYou don't think? There's a Gucci Mane song called Kush is My Cologne. And then there's a addendum there. Haze is her perfume.

BubblemanThat is awesome, dude.

SpeakerI agree. I agree. I've always thought hazes were perfume. Please go ahead, Craig. Yeah, that jack that you smoked, it's the same cut that I won the best flower with too. Yeah, Dylan and I grow the same cut. Wow. I'm not surprised, dude. It is special. There's no doubt. There's no doubt about it. It is special. When Dan saw Jack's son, he was, he wanted us to produce it for his brand, but ours was already spoken for.

SpeakerBut he was like, this one's spot on.

BubblemanHe was really... Dude, I'll tell you, weird, weird experience. I bumped into Dan in the elevator at my hotel. But before that, I took a rip of this Jack and I went outside and I got in the elevator to go let some friends up because the Cosmo doesn't let you up unless you have a key. And so I went down and I got in this elevator and there's this tall kid in there and he had a hat that said Jack Hare.

BubblemanI said, oh, you got a Jack Hare hat. And then all his buddies was like, yeah, yeah, this is Jack's grandson. And I was like, what? And then I kind of came back and told Caleb, I said, that was such a weird experience. Then a day later, I hit it again and I go in the elevator and Dan's there wearing the same hat. And I asked him and he's like, I don't have, that's not my son.

BubblemanLike, no, there's, Jack doesn't have a grandson. Like, those are probably the, he's like, he said, did you see the big bus on the floor? I said, yeah, I saw it. He said, that's not us. That's someone trying to steal Jack's name. I was like, oh my God, dude. Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanI love the words willing, but we're very not willing to call people out and throw them under the bus. So what we do inevitably is we protect them. And they end up doing these things over and over and over again. You know, I've always kept myself neutral. I don't want to get into any fights. I saw Tony Verzura on the first Smoke of the Day podcast the other day telling the story of making rosin in the late 80s, early 90s with With Compassion's bowl and the double boiler.

BubblemanAnd I was like, he is not telling the truth. I went in, Nick Attee, Great Gardner, Chadwick, who was Compassion, all calling him out, saying, dude, that is not your story to tell. I knew you couldn't go on a hash church and find Tony telling that story 10 or 12 years ago because it was just untrue. And for the first time ever, I went on.

Etienne FontanWhat podcast was this?

BubblemanFirst Smoke of the Day. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So I went in and I actually was like, you know what? I haven't said a single thing publicly since Tony and I kind of went our separate ways. I have, you know, I don't hate Tony by any means, but I'm fucking calling people out from now on when they're lying and they're stealing the history and they're rewriting the history because it's just not fucking cool.

BubblemanNot to mention also, You don't have to do it. What you've already done is enough. Whatever it is, it's already enough. You don't have to go out of your way to create an optic that, you know, it was just such an awkward thing to see him tell Chadwick's story on this podcast without, like it was borderline sociopathic.

Collin PalmerYou know? That's too bad, man.

Etienne FontanThat's disappointing, man, because... Just too bad.

Collin PalmerYou know, these things are happening more and more. I...

Etienne FontanAnd I freeze or did he freeze? You froze up. You got so mad you froze. Try again, Colin.

BubblemanIt's just too bad. He's back. I hear him. I see him. Maybe soon.

Collin PalmerYeah, I did get pissed. Because, you know, I hear this happens a lot, man. And like, I know, Marcus, you and I have known him for so long. And Tony, come on, dude. Dude, he's done lots. Like, it's like you did a bunch of stuff. Like, you don't need to... Yeah, come on, guys. Like, come on.

BubblemanAnd Chadwick. Chadwick has not been in the space at all since that post in 2006 on the hash rosin, making it in the double boiler bowl. Now, it never caught on. I did it once. I wouldn't say that I've been making a bunch of rosin. For me, the first rosin I ever made was in 2014 when Soil Grown showed it to us. But I I played around with his little method and made a couple of dabs and I thought it was pretty cool.

BubblemanI thought his photos were beautiful. But Chadwick, aka Compassion, he hasn't like done a bunch of other stuff. So let's just leave that alone. Let him have that because it's his. He brought it to all of us. It's historical. You can just go online and you can see. That's the other thing, man. I'm blown away at people telling fibs that are super easy to expose as a fib.

BubblemanYou know what I mean? We've put everything on the internet. Everything we know is on HashChurch and it's been there for 10 years. So, you know, if Etienne was making rosin in 2006, I can promise you in 2012 or 13, he told that story on HashChurch.

BubblemanBecause what are we doing? We're keeping the best stories.

Etienne FontanWe didn't start past Churchill 2015, so let's get that started, okay?

BubblemanI have no idea. No, someone told me 2013.

Etienne FontanMaybe there's, but I finally came around like 2015, but we were with Soil Grown. He showed us, you know, we went to, we did that all in, in Spanibus together, right? That's the time you, we were all together in the castle there, which was fucking epic. Trust me to be in the Barcelona fucking, you know, Sensi Seed Banks fucking. I blew the fuse. I mean, Five years just to build this castle, just to restore it.

Etienne FontanAnd here we are hanging out in the galleries, fucking literally using hair pressing, you know, to literally make rosin, right? And we were all just like, what the fuck? It was awesome. It was a lot of fun. And wasn't he there too? So I mean, it's like,

BubblemanWe were all there and I blew the fuse in that 14th century building.

Etienne FontanThat's right.

BubblemanAnd I remember because there was a woman's conference happening at it. So Ben was just kind of like, yeah, you guys can have this little corner. But the whole thing was this woman's event that was happening with all these women. And I totally plugged in my D-nail and blew the fuse for the entire building. It was classic. Okay.

Etienne FontanAnd I have a Soil Grown press, a glass press I got from him later that year at one of the festivals. And that's, I still have that. That's a prized possession because of just the history itself. I have an actual dab press from the guy who actually did it. You know what I'm saying? That's... Yep. Rare, you know?

BubblemanI will say the first time I shared the information was at my booth with Javier from Medical Seeds at Spanibus. So that was a couple of days before we ended up at the castle. And we were showing everyone from the great Gardner to Remo, DNA were there. Everyone was standing there with this little hair straightener hash thing. And it was quite a historical thing to just be a part of.

BubblemanAnd your history is your history. You never have to rewrite it. It's good enough. Like it's only insecurity that would make you feel like your history wasn't good enough. Whatever you did and have done in this industry, It's enough. And if it isn't, then do more. Don't make things up. Don't steal other people's stories.

Collin PalmerYeah, because he's a talented guy. It's the truth of it. And that makes me feel awkward because it's like, come on, man. And then here's another thing I got to say out loud. When I heard Golden State Banana, Nick, Send out a message saying that Scherbinski Mario is not has nothing to do with Scherbinski is the brand. He is like no association with it at all. Yet there was a huge activation in the center of of MJ Biz that had his name on it and had gelato right there in the center of it.

BubblemanSo they were giving out ice cream and gelato.

Collin PalmerIt's crazy. That's all that booth was. It just makes my heart crumble a little bit. It's like, oh, like, you know, because I know Mario personally and I, you know, I really I like him a lot. I think that he is. He's definitely a good dude. Yeah.

BubblemanHe's one of the only people I didn't link up with because he had invited me to speak in the vault. I never found the vault. And every time I went to find him, I went to that Sherbinsky booth, which just had these girls in short skirts feeding everyone gelato. So I didn't know that. I'll have to hit them up and make good on that next time.

Collin PalmerYeah, so, you know, those that are out there supporting things like that, just take note, you know, it's, it's really important that back to, you know, understanding who the people are behind the things that you consume. That's why this is really so important, you know, like brands are out there that don't even make hash that are hash companies, you know, and it's the same thing. So, you know, just try to understand a little bit more about who you're buying from and what you're actually consuming because it's, So important today.

SpeakerYeah, to that point, Colin, you know, I witnessed, I witnessed and I had to say something. I witnessed someone accept award with no farmer's name around where the resin came from. None at all. And I went up to him, I go, Oh, we're so and so and they're like, Oh, short notice, they couldn't make it.

Collin PalmerWell, you still give them the credit. It's like when we placed it.

SpeakerIt wasn't on the text. It wasn't on the winning flyer.

Collin PalmerBest Friend Farms couldn't make it out with us, but we made sure he got the light he deserves. We're all in this together. So I think you're right. Yeah, 100%, man. It's...

SpeakerSo it's wrongfully telling somebody else's story, and then it's chosen amnesia of where it actually came from and just standing in front of the light. Oh, yeah.

BubblemanYeah, it's an interesting thing, you know, that some people have a hard time giving people their flowers, and that's fine. It's maybe a learning lesson that you learn down the road, but it's definitely the right thing to do when someone's... For me... You know, even, you know, with me, I had a whole thing in regards to bubble bags with Mila. Well, Mila, I never rewrote Mila's history.

BubblemanI always told people like this, Mila was an important rung in the ladder, you know, but when I tell the story, it's very different from the story that most people know. And so, you know, I give Reinhardt his props. I give Skunk Man Sam and Rob Clark and Sadhu Sam's water extraction. I give Neville his props. I give the unknown American that told Neville that water sinks and And, and, uh, or resin sinks in water and it's still affected by gravity because it's the history and it's, it's super important that everyone who played a part gets to be in that history.

BubblemanAnd, uh, I just don't quite understand why you'd want to sort of steal, steal someone's story.

SpeakerI love Rob's analogy. You mentioned Micaria earlier. And I also want to shout out Courtney, Dr. William Courtney, who is, he still writes our script. We keep an active script in our homestead, even though we don't need to, but we choose to. We still hold the space on the farm and growing a certain amount of plants in that space. And, you know, we've even done that for my daughters as well that are not 21.

SpeakerBut are over 18. You know, it's really important to exercise these rights, otherwise they go away. Think about how, you know, we all grew under these scripts from 96 forward, right? And that was, that was, I don't want to say a business in itself, but it had a niche and it had supported these doctors and activists that hold the space. If we don't keep talking about- It was a business.

Etienne FontanIt was very much a business for people.

BubblemanYeah.

Collin PalmerYeah, I was going to text that in the chat.

BubblemanI was like, but not everyone, but not everyone. A perfect example that I can back Craig up on. I had, I got a license. My license was 2012. I believe Johnny B helped me go and get my license. And I never sold a single gram of anything from my license. I just refused to use. And I'm not judging anyone else because everyone has to make their own choice.

BubblemanFor me, it felt wrong. It felt like, okay, Like on one part, it was like, well, we shouldn't be going to put us in a position where what was protecting us was patients' rights. And, you know, like that's important. And it's great if you're growing and you're, you know, you're getting medicine to the patients. But in Canada, that's not what was happening. Everyone was selling it in the black market.

BubblemanYou know, the patients would very rarely get any, get the smalls, they'd get a half pound or something. And then the 14 pounds would go into the black market and be sold. And so I never did that. I had a license. I grew cannabis with my license and I never sold even a gram of it. And I can tell you in Canada, I don't pretend to know what was going on in the US.

BubblemanI did not meet another person like me. There was no person like me. Thank you so much for joining us today.

BubblemanI couldn't sell any weed to anyone. So whenever anyone wanted weed, it cost me. I just gave it away. And so, you know, for a while that was like, this shit is actually getting pretty expensive just to give all this away. So I understand that you have to sell it. I mean, the amount of work that you and your wife and your team do at Alpenglow on the farm, like that's farming.

BubblemanThat's not like some lightweight, like I got a tent and I'm, that's like for real, like one of the hardest jobs. Like you're, you know, you're, you're plugging into this living source, right? You're living, you're living source, you're Alpenglow. And it's just, you know, shout out to you for doing it and congratulations on winning that award. And it's awesome that it was with the cut that was the best dab that I had while in Vegas.

BubblemanLike talk about a full circle.

SpeakerYeah. So you smoked it. Yeah.

BubblemanLots, lots.

Etienne FontanWell, we're reliant on, you know, people like you, you know, and yes, we, we, we still give away free cannabis to patients group. 25 years, we've been getting away free cannabis, but that's because, and as you said, it became too expensive. And on top of that, you know, they're like, well, people can grow your own. Well, you know, you just found out you've got stage four cancer, you know, how much.

Etienne Fontangrowing are you really going to be doing right back then it was you know you had to get you know they were not leds available so what you're going to get a you know hps and then you know deal with the heat and the issues and growing and so the reality sunk in very quick because remember there's only a handful of us dispensaries early on you know um there was the initial seven with dennis and them that got closed down by a federal injunction And then we were, you know, that second line of dispensaries.

Etienne FontanAnd we quickly learned that the law, we had to go against the law because the original intent of the law was exactly Wham and Valerie and Mike Corral had done and have the perfect situation, which is, you know, taking care of your collective, which was the original intent of Prop 215. We were we had to actually change the law in California to get oddly enough it happened to be this was random the number SB 420 which uh senate bill 420 which allowed us then to take money and then that led to the taxation and various other situations but you know uh we quickly learned that we could not afford to give away all the free cannabis that we wanted especially in the bay area because There were so many sick people that we were able to fund it through, you know, the healthy people coming through and the other people that, you know, wanted access to cannabis.

Etienne FontanSo, you know, that's the reality of how things shifted, at least in California. And, you know, originally we were all operating illegally and it was only really wham. And Mike and Valerie Corral, who deserve all the credit in the world for being the OGs. Because to be part of that collective, no matter what disability you had, you had to physically come down and contribute to either the growing or the harvesting of that cannabis.

Etienne FontanSo it was a true collective setup and form and idea. And yeah, it was beautifully and wonderfully executed by an amazing couple.

BubblemanYeah, they're awesome people. They weren't the first people in medical cannabis that I met. Hillary had Amber and Burke and Debbie come up early, early. But in around 2000 or 2001, I was invited to Skunk Man Sam and Diana's apartment in Amsterdam for a dinner. And the couple that was there were Valerie and Mike Corral. And so that was when I met them about 24 years ago or something like that, 25 years ago.

BubblemanWhich was why you always wanted to go have dinner at Skunk Man Sam's house. First of all, his wife makes awesome Mexican food. Second of all, you're just going to meet the most epic people at the dinner table. And especially back then, Sam was very, very careful as to who he invited over.

Etienne FontanWhoopsie. Can you guys still hear me?

Etienne FontanHeard the whoopsie and everything. You heard the whoopsie? Oh yeah, that's very Canadian, eh? So, you know, it's very interesting what you were talking about earlier because it's, you know, I'm in the industry, so I follow a lot of industry folks. So there is a lot of industry people complaining about MJ Biz, you know what I'm saying? I've never been. I try to stay away from anything that ends in the word con.

Etienne FontanSo, you know, but that's me. But I don't really have a reason to be there because, again, I'm established in Berkeley and with BPG. So it's just one of those things.

BubblemanHowever, I can give you one reason why you should have been there.

Etienne FontanYou, I know, I know, I suck, you know, but I'm getting ready to leave on vacation, so I have work days and stuff I have to deal with, unfortunately. But it's great for networking and running into industry folk, as well as for you, you got to see your people and your production, which you've only seen through pictures, right? So to actually, it's another, it's one thing to see it in 2D, it's another thing to viscerally touch it and smoke it and

BubblemanAnd to see people react to it was my favorite part. Vlad, who's, I guess he spends time in, he's in California from Thompson Duke.

Etienne FontanSomeone had to be an air of pride in that too, right?

BubblemanDude, I'm telling you, he was trying to offer us $100 a gram to buy it. He was like, dude, that was like some of the best for us. And so the Pineapple Bliss was really, really nice. I got to shout out Daniel Otero in Colorado because that one was, there was no one we showed it that weren't, wasn't, you know, Impressed with it. So that's that's always nice to see that I'm manifesting the right people to do the right work with me, because, yeah, when you don't go down there, there's just no way I could do this without having done the last 25 years of what I've been doing.

BubblemanThat was the only thing that allowed me to create partnerships without without even meeting the people. How crazy is that?

Collin PalmerIt takes a team though, man, too, you know, like that's, it's, that's, I consider that, that's maturity in the most like honest way, right? Like you're allowing others to, to find ownership within this thing that you've created all these years ago. And I think that's really awesome and really unique and special.

BubblemanWell, we sure need to see how big the whole thing is.

Collin PalmerYeah, well, that's two, you know, but it's like, I don't know, like, like you saying that, like, made me feel so proud of you. Like, like, you got to experience someone's emotion from the work, which you've you put in preemptively before any of it, right? So it's cool.

Etienne FontanIt's like, I'm like, I feel like prior to right, it's you had to build up to it. And none of these things happen quick. And then you had to wait years to taste, right? That's a lot of anticipation and

Collin PalmerAnd it's going to take years to come to keep fostering it. And that's the most, that's like the, you know what I mean? Like these are, this is a constant. I always say this, a brand is a performance over time and it's a promise you show up for every time. And that's something that takes a lifetime of effort. It's not something you do once. It's not something you just like say out loud.

Collin PalmerYou do in practice and you live through that. And You know, it becomes bigger than yourself. And I think that's amazing when people can take ideas and do that with them, you know, no matter what it is. Those that are out there doing it yourself, same thing. You know, you don't have to be 20 years in. You have to believe in it and go and show up for it.

Collin PalmerAnd that's something I don't see a lot of people do.

BubblemanConsistently, you know, I'll tell you, one of the things I want to do is definitely start throwing some legends of hashes in the US now that I can come there. For those of you that don't know, my partner Addison trademarked the name. And so I haven't talked to him in a while, but last I talked to him, he was definitely didn't want to let me use my name for Legends of Hash.

BubblemanHopefully that's passed on and he's moved on because, you know, we just had a little bit of a falling out. And regardless if he doesn't or not, I will be throwing Legends of Hash in the U.S., 100%. I love the idea of, you know, just for me, Legends was always about, you know, wherever you were at whatever event, you would get your metaphorical bubble bags out and you'd throw all the people into there.

BubblemanAnd then you'd filter them out and you just pull all the 90U out. And that was the Legends of Hash. Those were the people who would go to the Legends of Hash party, the 90U heads that got stuck in that bag. And it's such a great, you know, Legends was never about people flying to a place just for Legends. It was always about harvesting people from another event, right?

BubblemanCannabis Cup in Amsterdam. That's how Sam and I originally came up with it. He was just like, wouldn't it be cool if we just had a dinner and we just smoked hash and it was just like a celebration of hash. And that's kind of how it started, which is wild because I can't even count how many hash type dinners there are now in the industry, which is really cool when you think about it, that Legends got to be a part of that.

BubblemanEverything Sam did, everything was, you know, Was picked up by people who were inspired by it. So, you know, you got your ego clashes and you got your heady happenings and you got your endless amounts of these sort of cool events that definitely, I would say, had to have been inspired by the original legends of hash dinners.

Collin Palmer100%. Big shout out to Forest or Hunter at Hidden Forest Farms for doing the Culture Cup on the East Coast because he very much seems like to be very inspired by many different styles of dinners and events. And he's really come up with a really nice Thank you so much for joining us.

Collin PalmerYou know, the one that I think is definitely holding the torch up well. And I really like Lake Hunter a lot. Really good dude.

BubblemanI love the events. Like I go to all, you know, when I can, I go to them. I went to, you know, Eagle Clash in Barcelona and I did Jar Check with Jolly Roger and it was awesome. Like super fun. Jolly Roger is like, you know, he was like, look, you're the hash guy. You've been you've got the history with this. He's like, I'm really a custody.

BubblemanHe's like, I'm a hash customer. So I look at all the hash from the customer's perspective. And I was like, I was like, damn, dude, that's that's legit. You know, here's a guy owning his place, not rewriting his history and telling everyone, oh, I've been making hash since 2008. Since like 92, you know, and he really was like, dude, you're the hash maker. I have complete respect for what you do.

BubblemanAnd he's like, the reason he wanted to do the jar check was that I brought something completely different to the table. And if you've ever seen Rogers jar checks, he's got a couple of 50 to 60 inch TVs, both set on microscope microscopes. He's got his own microscope right at his desk with a smaller screen that he can Thank you for joining us.

BubblemanAnd not, you know, because you'd think that some people in our industry would feel like that wasn't enough, being a custody, that they would have to rewrite their history. But shout out for Roger for not doing that. And honestly, when I did it with him, it made me feel Like I should be doing jar checks everywhere I go. Like it made no sense that I haven't been doing this for 20 years.

BubblemanAnd I even said to him, I was like, dude, like, I'm not gonna, you know, this is your thing or whatever, but goddamn dude, anytime you want to do another one, I am 1000% in. What a great event where you just have, I mean, we probably had 50 to 60 jars shown to us that day, all in a lineup. And you just wouldn't believe the special things that people had in their pockets.

BubblemanSome things from Hawaii, some things from just all over the world, terroir, In a jar. Here you go. What do you think? I thought that's pretty fucking awesome. That's what I thought.

Collin PalmerIt is. I mean, how cool is it to just see that much diversity, you know, in such a short amount of time? That's I think that's the most interesting thing. And You know, a jar from Hawaii made perhaps with the same cut grown in a different environment. How about that? You know, things like that. I'd love to see an event where I mean, they tried to do this, I think, or they did do this with Frenchie, where they they gave out one cut to farms and everyone grew it and then washed it and everyone showed up.

Collin PalmerRight. That would be really awesome to see. Even maybe take, take it a step further. Like want, you know, a group of farmers take a plot together. They, they all grow it together. And then they get a group of hash makers. They get that one batch and they all wash that one batch. Right. And then they show up with that to see the different grades and what they creativity, like, what do they make out of it?

Collin PalmerWhat textures or like, you know, that would be really neat to see. To see people come together like that, to show the disciplines and maybe someone's like, I want to make dry sift out of this or, you know. Yeah, melt check. I like that. Yeah.

BubblemanMelt check.

SpeakerYeah. I like going both directions, having multiple farms grow one and then washed by one hash maker and then one farm being washed, you know, going both ways through that, that very, you know, that, that consistency there.

Collin PalmerI think it could be done today. I mean, there's enough canopy to figure something like that out, right? Like years ago, you could never really do it, but you know, cause everyone's like, no, I only have so much. But today it seems like you could actually do something like that and make it make sense. And maybe, you know, maybe you put it out, maybe you put it on the shelf as a product after the event or something to make it all even go a step further to give people access to it, you know?

BubblemanI just love the organic nature that Legends, you know, Legends was never about a contest until Sam made it a contest. He was just like, oh, you know, everyone was going to Legends. A part of how I sold all my Legends tickets straight up were like, you want to hang out with Skunk Man Sam? Because this is the only option you're going to have to do it.

BubblemanThat guy didn't stop and talk to anyone back then. You could approach him and he just wouldn't talk to you. He was very particular in the early days. So it was this sort of like this epic... Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanReally liked that opportunity. It eventually turned into more of a, you know, like a organized contest. But in the early days, it was really about just getting this amazing guy's perspective, right? It was all about Sam. Like, what do you think, Sam? Like, oh, I really like this one. Back then, you have to understand, no one had hash like Sam. Sam's hash was like 20 points above.

BubblemanOkay, so who was traveling to all the hash producing countries and getting seeds and then bringing those seeds back and breeding them and then using his own secretive method to isolate, without the use of water, pure glandular trichome hats? I can count on this hand how many people were doing that. It was him, just him. He was like the only person doing that. And so obviously his shit was on a completely different level than the rest of the world.

BubblemanNow, I will say the rest of the world has caught up very well. But Sam lived in that zone by himself for close to 20 years. You know, like when I first went and smoked his hash, it was shockingly powerful. And I've told the story before of Rob Clark saying, oh, God, I was at Sam's house. I left so stoned. I was young and kind of thought I had the best hash and I was just, well, how stoned could you be, Rob?

BubblemanReally? Like how stoned could you be? Well, I found out. Extremely. Like more stoned than you'd ever want to be. That's how stoned you could get hanging out at Sam. And that was if you were puffing one bowl for every five bowls that he hit. Because I just couldn't keep up with him. I think the first time I smoked with him, I would say he smoked about 60 bong rips in his living room.

BubblemanAnd I took maybe 30, which was a lot. Like I was good after two. So shout out to Sam and his caliber because it's at the bar. Putting that picture up in 2008 on International Canagraphic, the pure glandular trichome heads. Asking him in his apartment, hey, do you mind if I take a photo of your hash? You know, I didn't want to do inevitably what everyone did to Sam, which was somehow figure out a way to monetize him, right?

BubblemanIt was like. Because everything he had around him was just like, it was so priceless and you just couldn't really wrap your head around it. But him letting me take that picture was the beginning of the sort of the crack of the armor of keeping that technique to himself and showing that picture of the pure heads. Thank you so much for joining us.

BubblemanThat's crazy, Caleb. I tried. I didn't really try to talk to him because the guy is so busy. But I have a friend who has created a pretty crazy thing. I'll see if I can find it in here. It might be on my other phone. It is. I got to go get it. I'll be right back. You guys got to see this.

SpeakerIt's basically in regards to a rolling paper. So you guys met Ori a while ago. He came on Hash Church. He showed all the holographic THCA and he had all those super cool, crazy inventions.

BubblemanSo he sent me this the other day and he said, if you see any seed companies down there, you know, get them to check this out. And so this is his new cellulose paper. With a hologram on it. So I'm not sure if you guys will be able to see this. I'm not going to be able to show it any other way. Maybe I can pin myself at the top here.

BubblemanHere we go. So this is a cellulose rolling paper with a hologram on it. Now, there's no ink on that. That is nothing that you can't smoke. That is just a stamp that refracts light, much like the light going through the prism on the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon album, right? You get the clear light go in, it splits into all these different colors. So what he's figured out is he's figured out a way to stamp the cellulose or the paper that creates this microscopic shapes that refract light and create Perfect images.

BubblemanYou could have Alpen Glow on there. You could have. So now the most important thing about this is not that it's cool and awesome, that it prevents counterfeit. And how much counterfeit do you think Josh from Raw is suffering from right now?

Etienne FontanI bet he doesn't even know how much counterfeit he's suffering from right now, as well as talking about this years ago when this was a concept and it was kind of rolled out. I remember us talking about it here on Hash Church, but I want to say that was definitely eight, seven, eight years ago.

Collin PalmerDidn't we have this guy on?

Etienne FontanThat's too long.

BubblemanYes, yes. It's too long. I've only known Ori for about three or four years, and he's the guy that holds this information. But from a rolling papers perspective, if you're from RAW or ZigZag or OCB, reach out, get in touch. I'll hook you up with Ori. These papers are mind-blowing. You know, you could reach out if you were just a company that wanted to make your own custom rolling papers that had You know, your farm logo or whatever it is that you wanted to have on there.

BubblemanBut I think that's low hanging fruit. That's fun and awesome. But the real value is keeping the counterfeiting from happening. And that's that's a big one. These companies are losing an enormous amount of money from people just ripping off their product and selling it as as their own.

Etienne FontanThat's fucked up, but I mean, it's always been a problem. Back when in 2010, Arion had tried to take other companies to international court regarding counterfeits and because they were outright taking his name and the international courts like get the fuck out of here. Your shit's illegal. We don't give a fuck about, you know, marijuana. So that's when he started to call his stuff Arian's Haze and Arian's this and Arian's that to distinguish because of the counterfeits.

Etienne FontanSo, you know, anyway, they tried, you know, seed coloring, you know, all these. I remember.

BubblemanI remember when they bought that machine. I saw that little round.

Etienne FontanInteresting, you know, but, you know, people would just literally buy his stuff, pop out those seeds and then put in their hemp seeds and sell them to people for, you know, unscrupulous prices and ripping people off. And somebody thinks they're going to be growing this amazing cannabis. And they're literally growing, you know, ganja no high, as my Jamaican friends would call it.

BubblemanYeah, well, that's pretty shitty. Seed companies as well should reach out.

Etienne FontanIt's always been counterfeit. I was just coming out of how counterfeit's always been an inundated reality for anybody who tries to bring anything to market, right? I mean, you have people knocking your stuff off all the time, right, Bubble Man?

BubblemanOh, my stuff's done. They pretty much crushed the company, right? Like we've been ripped off so many times. It's just bubble bags is hanging on by a thread, let's just say. But, you know, maybe I'll get Ori. I actually have gotten Ori to make a cellulose bubble man. You can't really see it very well, but that's my wizard on cellulose. Now, it's very hard to see with a camera, but this is Thank you for watching.

BubblemanWhich he's like the main guy that sells, you know, $40 bubble bags on Amazon and stuff. And he's been doing it for, God damn, I would say 15 years. So it is what it is. Yeah.

Collin PalmerYeah, it's like, yeah. But I think the quality of the bags are completely different. You know, I think that's what people have to understand out there that are like going out to try to buy sets of bags. Like you're not paying for the same quality. There are levels to. It's just like flour.

BubblemanDo you think people buy nice flour more often than they buy floor sweepings and distillate and botanical turps?

Collin PalmerIt's fair. That's fair to say.

BubblemanYeah, no, it's fortunately not. Now, thank God for people like Craig and his wife that grow beautiful, amazing cannabis. And I think it'll always have a place. But there's definitely this disconnect with our group of people in the industry and this new growing segment of the industry that literally makes up 90%. And what I've really been trying to do is kind of pull those two together. I know this new group is not, I'm not going to turn them on to dabbing.

BubblemanI'm not going to be like, oh, you got to get a Thank you for joining us.

BubblemanTo me, that's the group I want to turn on, that growing segment of the cannabis industry or community, if you will. That's the group I want to turn on because they're all starting where we were like 30 plus years ago. And I remember I was smoking bunk, like maxi brick bunk.

SpeakerYeah, we have it happen all the time where You know, other retailers want to carry our product. And we've learned that unless you have the messaging, unless you have the trained staff, unless we're able to come and be in the store, It's not going to work. It's not going to work. It just doesn't. It's, you know, the model that Soulful has created to really put the farmers front and center and sun grown only to walk into a shop that only has sun grown is mind blowing.

SpeakerAmazing, dude. And we're super blessed to be in that space going from one little store on a dream and a hope to, you know, bringing it to practicing principles of store number four opening. And it's just the sun grown. The sun grown mission is growing far and wide.

BubblemanWell, you know, we just have to grow that that mentality that the wine industry has done so well with terroir. And the X, you know, that's, you're, you're selling your farms terroir in the expression of flour or food or hash, whatever you produce. It's, that's what you're selling. You're selling the, you're, you're creating an opportunity for people to experience, you know, your terroir, like what the work that you do, the plants that you plant.

BubblemanAnd of course, all of the variables that make up, you know, what you have. And I, I can, I have this conversation often with groups in, um, In Australia, because one of the things in Australia, and I don't know why this is, they want to grow indoors, they want to grow with lights, they want to control the terroir. And I keep trying to tell them, I'm like, listen, like your value, the thing that you should be selling is your terroir.

BubblemanThat's what you got. That's what you nobody else has Australians terroir. Are you fucking kidding me, dude? It's completely unique and different. No one has it. Just like anywhere else in the world. It's unique and completely different.

Etienne FontanOh, those South African sun terps?

BubblemanAmazing.

Etienne FontanAmazing.

BubblemanOf course. Right? So that's the value. That's what you're kind of exporting. That's what I look forward to a day where I can, you know, get hash from Lebanon. Get some hash made from sun-grown flower from California. I love the idea of being able to, you know, not just have that as our market closely, like, oh, this is our market. This is what we're going to do.

BubblemanI want it to be a world market. I want people to be able to order stuff from all over the world and experience the different terroirs that people are rocking right now, because there are some really, really, really impressive flowers out there that are being grown in these incredible places. So shout out to the farmers.

BubblemanOh, here we go. This is a group that I'm trying to work with in New Zealand right now. Let me put my, I can't really share right now, but I can put up a pin and I can kind of put, you know, this is their farm in New Zealand. Their company's called Puro. So that is their farm.

BubblemanThey're all about like fucking growing outdoor New Zealand terroir flour and getting it turned into hash. So I can't get that in Canada. You know, I can't. The flour will never taste like that. And thank God, Paul, he used to send me Australian flour and hash from the Mullumbimby Madness. And what an incredible, exotic, unique flavor profile that to this day, I have not ever, it hasn't come across my table since.

BubblemanSo hopefully I can get out there sooner than later. I would love to spend the next five years of my life just traveling everywhere and tasting everyone's resin. That's the new manifestation. And I already got to taste Caleb's.

Etienne FontanThat's a great way to start, man. Trust me. I know.

SpeakerI'm just curating.

Etienne FontanTurp tours.

BubblemanThe melt tour. Melt tour. Straight up, dude. Straight up. Man, I'll tell you, I feel a million times better. When I woke up, I was dying. I don't think I slept last night.

Collin PalmerIt was shivering. How did I sound, Colin? You sounded pretty beat up. I was like, is everything all right? That's why I asked you that. You're like, yeah, what's up? I was like, well, listen, I fly back from Vegas.

BubblemanI land at midnight. I land at midnight from Vegas. I drive two hours from the Vancouver airport to Whistler. I wake up in the morning at around eight or nine o'clock. And by 10 o'clock, I'm on the mountain, like snowboarding with my son. And I'm telling you, it was, there was like a foot and a half of powder. So it was, you know, when you're skiing in powder, it just takes a lot out of you.

BubblemanAnd I, of course, every time I get into it, I get a hit of adrenaline. So I don't feel how tired or sick I am. And I did that all day yesterday. And came home and kept it going and partied with my son and, you know, went and got pizza and did all the fun stuff that you do in Whistler. By the time the night came around, my head was pounding.

BubblemanMy voice was hurting. I was like, uh-oh, this isn't going to be good. I don't think I slept an hour last night. So my son kept going, wake up, dad, wake up. I was like, no, no, I can't wake up. I can't wake up. But I'll tell you when my phone rang, I thought, uh-oh. I wonder who's calling me. And I get out of bed, which took a lot of energy.

BubblemanAnd I look at it and it says Colin. And immediately I'm like, fuck, it's hash church, dude. And I think it said 938 or something when you called me, Colin.

Collin PalmerYeah, it was definitely.

BubblemanYeah.

Collin PalmerYeah. But I could feel like you were like, definitely not. Well, I just was like, well, I'll let him tell.

BubblemanWe'll never miss a hash church unless I'm dead. And today, I've proved that. I will always make it, dude. I just, hey, sure, we started a little late today. Haven't done that in like years. But what a great crew we have that just sat around and chatted in the chat room and basically like didn't leave. Was just like, no, no, no, no, we're not, we're not leaving.

BubblemanWe're going to just wait to see what pans out. Maybe Hash Church will still happen. So shout out to all of you guys that are, you know, in the room still 40 minutes after Hash Church starts. You guys are still rocking it. And that is just awesome. That is just awesome. Just dying. And I'm like, I'm doing Hash Church. My wife was like, are you seriously doing Hash Church today?

BubblemanI'm like, yeah, I'm seriously doing Hash Church today. In fact, I bet you I'm going to go snowboarding after this.

Collin PalmerGet slashing turns for me, man. Yeah, jelly, dude. A foot a pal, just coming back from a flight. Oh, it was more. It was like a foot and a half. It was insane. Yeah, it was really, it was wonderful. One thing we have to do is go ride together. That's like on my bucket list is to go up and ride with you.

BubblemanLet's do it. So this, this was yesterday on the mountain.

BubblemanDude, that was from Vegas to Whistler. And it didn't say like on the on the on the page, it was like, oh, it's not that good up there. So it kept a lot of people from going. But I mean, I don't know how you look when you see that, but I see heaven when I see that some people are called the lineups long. I'm like, so what?

BubblemanLike, what are you talking about? It's multi millions of dollars of infrastructure that takes me to the top of the mountain so I can ride a plank down. Like I am, I don't think there's a thing I like doing more when it comes to feeding my soul than snowboarding on a mountain. So I'm going to have to do a Legends of Whistler.

Collin PalmerYou definitely should do a little ride sesh. I like surfing too for those same reasons. It's like music is similar. You can get out of your head and just be in the moment. It's so dope. And the difference between surfing is that you paddle yourself up And over the mountains and then you paddle yourself into those mountains and you ride them, you know, so.

BubblemanYeah, we don't have a ton of surfing, but we do have a place called Tofino. It's on the West Coast and most snowboarders in the winter will be up here in Whistler. And once the summer comes, they all go to Tofino. You can get some pretty nice surfing up there. Obviously, it's the Pacific Ocean and it's cold. So you definitely want to wear a wetsuit. It's not Hawaii surfing by any means, but it's nice that we have it still.

BubblemanAnd I would definitely agree with you as well. Surfing, snowboarding, and I would also add scuba diving. Because when I'm scuba diving and I'm 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 feet down and I can't hear anything but my...

BubblemanMy Darth Vader-like breath, it's this incredible soundtrack to your experience, which is your life. And I don't know if you guys ever saw KRS-One speak about his breath. And he said, you know, if I hold my breath, I will pass out, but my body will continue to work, my brain will continue to work, and everything will continue to work. So he came to the conclusion that, That breath was consciousness, right?

BubblemanYou don't have consciousness without breath. The minute you stop breathing for about a minute or two or three or four, you'll pass out. You'll lose consciousness. And I thought, what an incredible concept. Like I'd never thought of that before that like, You know, consciousness is all around us. It's in the air that we breathe. And if you stop breathing the air, your brain will still work, your body will still work, everything will work, but you'll lose consciousness.

BubblemanAnd when I saw KRS say that, I thought, man, that is fucking awesome. So, and I guess it's why we breathe in the consciousness of hash. And it changes the way we look at the world, right? Because you're looking at a A sort of different consciousness, a different version of consciousness, which I suspect there are many, many, many of them. The good old acid spray. Oh my goodness.

BubblemanDidn't we have the guy on? Which guy?

Collin PalmerThat was the holographic. I remember having him on. We had him on for a minute. He was in LA or something. Yeah, he's in San Diego. Cool.

BubblemanYeah, super good dude. He'll come back on again as well. And he'll have to start planning some good shows for next year. We almost did an entire year of Hash Church. So we have three more episodes left. And we'll have done 52 episodes of Hash Church just this year alone, which I, you know, that's, that's dedication. That's something. Yeah, it's great. It's awesome. Consistency, man. Consistency, even when you're dying in bed and shivering and wet.

BubblemanAnd I was like, oh my God, like this is, I'm like, oh my God. I got this shitty computer that's like barely works and it's the screens like this big. So it's like, I can't, I'm like, you know what? It doesn't matter. I'm running hash church today. I'm not giving up. And thank you guys for showing up and not giving up as well. Of course, man. Well, yeah, absolutely.

Etienne FontanDedicated, man.

BubblemanFor real.

Collin PalmerIt's like showing up to a show. Gotta show up. You know, play the show.

BubblemanWhile I was in Vegas, Dr. Mark hit me up. LFG. Let's fucking go. And then sent me all the links to fish at the Sphere at the end of April. Three weekends in April, three days of shows, nine shows total. I did not go to the Sphere, but I did catch it here and there in photos while I was driving around Vegas. That shit is insane. That is not a normal thing.

BubblemanThat is something else. I mean, I would say that anyone that has a love of music or going to shows... You have to go to it. Like I know I do. Just looking at it. At one point in time, it was kind of the daytime and there's video on the outside. And then all of a sudden the video kind of went off and I was like, oh shit, you could see the structure of it.

BubblemanAnd it was like, you could see through it. And so I was talking to the cab driver. I'm like, that's so cool that you can see that. And he goes, yeah, that's not real. I said, what? He said, it's not real. It's just video. You can't see through it. I was like, are you fucking kidding me? Because it looked like you could see right through it. You could see like the metal components with holes in it.

BubblemanYou could see the light from the other side of the sky. He said, that is 1000% a video. You cannot see through the unit. And that totally blew my mind. That is like, That is a that's some real fuckery right there because I 1000% I could tell when it had a video on it and there was like a big eye with a dinosaur coming out or some other crazy shit.

BubblemanBut I just it looked so real when the lights kind of went off and all of a sudden you could see this sort of scaffolding and the metal structure and you could see through it. And my cab driver was like, yeah, that's completely not real. Pretty trippy. Definitely might have to go see some fish shows in April.

Collin PalmerYeah, so you should, yes, we all have to go. So those that are like really, really deep cut fans, if you're going to the sphere, stand in the hallways. And when you're in the hallways, try to find a quiet place because what's playing is all of Trey's personal guitar music that he's never, ever released ever. And he's only playing it and releasing it through the shows that they play at the Sphere.

Collin PalmerSo you can get a taste of his, it's basically ambient music that he makes on his guitar. And it's super, it's like really Brian Eno forward. It's really beautiful, but it doesn't sound anything like Phish. You think you're listening to like Brian Eno, but it's amazing. So those are like super heady fans of Trey. You should definitely pay attention when you go there and listen for it.

BubblemanVery cool. A little nugget, a little Easter egg you just gave the peeps.

Collin Palmer100%.

BubblemanWell, that's pretty awesome. I see Masonic's in the room. I'm about to take a huge breath of consciousness. That's what's up, Mace.

Collin PalmerI'm going to join you, Mace. Let's go.

BubblemanPart of me wants to take a dab, but part of me is like, we'll die if I do it.

Collin PalmerDon't take a dab.

BubblemanWhat do you think, sweetie? Should I take a dab?

SpeakerYeah.

BubblemanWell, my son says yeah.

Collin PalmerYeah, then go for it. Hell yeah.

BubblemanHe's like in the back room, I hear his little voice.

Collin PalmerYeah. That's like my son, yeah. That's awesome.

BubblemanIt's definitely pretty cool. Having chitlins. What better? Ooh, what do you got there? A little Dab Stars? Yeah, I bumped into Jonah from Dab Stars.

Collin PalmerOh, nice.

BubblemanI'm in his homie there. Yeah, I was just happy to see everyone, man. I didn't have... I don't know, I just, I came home as well, Etienne. I saw all that Facebook stuff about like people, it was vitriol. It was so poisonous. It was just like, it was just like these huge long paragraphs of how much they hated something. And I was just like, you know, like you could have spent that time writing half an article on something you like, and you'd probably feel better at the end of it.

BubblemanI, like I said, I've been starved for the US for so long that I was just so grateful and blessed to be there. That it's a unique place to be when you're on that side of things and you see the other side that's just like, just so upset about it almost. It's just like, dude, who cares?

Etienne FontanDon't go. Take us, walk us through because there had to be a journey, right? You've got the paper in your hand. You're now exiting Canada. They're like, okay, you can go now. So walk us through.

BubblemanI cleared customs. I cleared customs in Canada. OK, so you guys don't fuck around. You guys have U.S. Customs at our airports in Canada.

Collin PalmerYeah, it all happens before you even get.

BubblemanAnd it happened so quick. My lawyer told me when you go across the border and you give them a waiver, it's an automatic secondary. So I was ready to go to secondary and be interviewed. The guy was like two minutes punching in some stuff. I gave him my waiver, punched in some stuff, and then he gave it both back and he said, welcome to the United States.

BubblemanAnd I was like tripping, dude. I walked over to an area which was still in the U.S. Customs and I asked a U.S. Customs agent, is it OK if I take a selfie? And that was kind of my first exciting moment taking that picture.

BubblemanThank you for watching.

BubblemanJesus, like this is super trippy. The flight to Vegas was super quick. I think it was two hours and 25 minutes. You know, I was blown away that when you land at the airport, you're basically on the strip. Like I was I couldn't believe that all the hotels were they seemed like they were at the airport. I was also tripped out about how big Vegas is in the sense of the grandiose scale of everything.

BubblemanSo, you know, Caleb could be like what looked to be five minutes away across the street. And it would be like a 45 minute walk. Like it was absolutely bonkers. When I was over at my buddy's apartment, he had a room at the Wynn-Encore, Twin Towers, the Wynn and the Encore. And it was right across the street from the convention center. And I looked down, I said, oh my God, we're right here.

BubblemanThat's awesome. We could just walk down. And my buddy looks at me and he's like, you'd think that, wouldn't you? And I was like, well, what do you mean? He's like, dude, you can't walk down there. Like, just get in a cab. It's fucked. You won't be able to cross the street. You'll have to go way out of your way. It's going to take you 40 minutes to just walk to that to that event.

BubblemanSo that was kind of mind blowing in regards to the grandiose aspect of it. I also was just kind of blown away at all that, like, I just saw people being happy. That's what I saw. I saw people being happy. I saw very few people not being happy. You know, I saw a few homeless people that were definitely not happy, not in a good place. But other than that, everywhere I seemed to go seemed to have a really good vibe and just, you know, it was just...

BubblemanYeah, I mean, honestly, I'm really glad Caleb went. It might not have been the same without him, but because I did hang out with him quite a bit. We puffed a lot of bowls and just chose to just be like, oh, it's just a couple of us in the hotel room. I had a good room. My buddy got us good rooms. We had this epic like balcony overlooking the Bellagio at the Cosmo.

BubblemanI guess I didn't realize this, but Balconies are fairly rare in Vegas at the hotels because I guess people like jump off of them when they lose their shit gambling, which was a little bit disconcerting to hear. But nobody jumped on my snipers.

Etienne FontanYeah, I remember there was that shooting of 500 people a few years ago in Vegas. So yeah, they're getting less and less.

BubblemanJesus. It's insane. Can't you just do it through the window?

BubblemanA little hole with a little glass cutter.

SpeakerSetting up your sniper ship.

BubblemanYeah, of course you have. So yeah, I think I'm going to be heading over to Denver next month. I'm going to go visit my partners there. And they have an event set up for January 12th. I believe it's with a singer and a DJ. But they suggested it would be really cool if I could make it. So I was thinking of maybe going to Denver in January.

BubblemanAnd then who knows from there where I will go. It's like I'm a kid in a candy store. I have this waiver. It's both for business and pleasure. It's in the name of my company, Bubble Man Brand, which I couldn't believe that Homeland Security gave me a waiver in the name of my company. But it goes to show you how things are changing, right? It's not that cannabis isn't really the focus anymore.

BubblemanWe're not the enemy the way we once were. And that doesn't mean that we're done and we can just go like this and we're finished. Like there's still a ton of work to do, but we really aren't. Thank you for joining us.

BubblemanSo I've never, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, I go to Spain and I go to Germany and I go to these places and I meet people and they're like, oh, wow, that's so glad you, but America was on a different level, dude. I was getting stopped like 40, 40 times a day. Just awesome people. Like just fucking, it was the greatest thing ever to be able to make friends by just walking around.

BubblemanAnd there was some really good people that are just focused on growing nice herb, turning it into nice hash and then sharing a little bit. And that just seems like, uh, Who doesn't fucking love that?

Etienne FontanSpeaking of international stuff, I want to say that we got our group NCOD has given us the authorization for our Wade Laughter honorary situation that we're going to do in Vienna. And now, yeah, and Caleb's coming on and has become part of our international team. So, yeah, Caleb's going to be holding down the fort for us. Now, we will submit, we do not know the time or date.

Etienne FontanWe won't know for about a month before. But Caleb will actually have credentials and an access in. So if you all want to do something, it's going to be in the middle of the night because it's going to be Vienna time or we can record that separate and get the recording to you, Marcus, for running on a Sunday, you know, or something like that. But we'll keep you posted.

Etienne FontanIt's still a lot of static in play, but Forrest is coming and then Monica as well. So they're both in the midst of getting their passports And all that. And then.

BubblemanAnd when is that?

Etienne FontanThat will be March 9th through 13th. That's when we will be in Vienna and the side events will be announced the month before and we'll know what specific date and time. But that's just again, the United Nations, they take their time with that. But again, Caleb will be holding down the fort. So if anybody wants to pop in, we have an access to the veterans action councils um zoom so if y'all want to pop in and keep him up in the middle of the night because he'll be recording everything that's going on we'll be checking in uh because we have an international team from all around the world so this kind of is our area where we kind of pop in and check in see what's going on what side events or events or What has Kevin Sabet done today?

Etienne FontanYou know, kind of situations which will be, you know, part of it because he he's got a blue badge. He's one of those people on the floor. So, you know, we keep an eye on him and his shenanigans as well as his side events. So, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Is he just a hateful liar? Is that what that guy is? Like, does he believe what he's saying or is he a paid shill?

Etienne FontanThat man is a lie factory. No, no. He believes absolutely everything he says. I watched his presentation for an hour and I have it. I have the slides. It's at a severe angle. And the lies per minute would make Donald Trump blush. But he controls his room. He controls the discussion. There is no discussions. There's no reactions. We're actually having to get permission to have reactions. Literally, we've had to go all the way up through the chain of command to have reactions because we've had people make reactions to his bullshit and lies literally in real time.

Etienne FontanAnd then he accused people of trying to sabotage his presentation, you know, so he's a liar and a manipulator and, um, We go there to confront and talk to other countries afterwards because fortunately there's some Baltic countries afterwards who came up to us and were like, we do not believe what he is saying exists in reality. And we're the ones reassuring him saying, yeah, you're right. You're correct.

Etienne FontanHe has a lot of that what you heard is misinformation and lies. You're like, yeah, I thought so. You know, so just being there to sometimes just be a reassuring eye to an actual diplomat carries greater weight than you realize. But at the same time, it didn't stop an international incident and his guys from shoving one of our guys, which caused a minor international incident in our kerfuffle.

Etienne FontanSo Since, you know, we carry a lot of weight and respect with the security there at the United Nations. And every time we go by and we wear funny hats, they give us a nod, which is pretty cool. Because when it came down to it, you know, he accused us of attacking him, which, of course, it became a he said versus he said situation, which, you know...

Etienne FontanThe head of UN security is a former Italian special forces guy. And so we just spoke to a military to military and he completely understood the situation. So, you know, again, sometimes it's just those things by being on the ground you don't get from Zoom. But, yep, we'll be back there in March again, just doing what needs to be done. And we were actually talking to Jolly Roger.

Etienne FontanSo we may actually be getting Puffco out into the UN. So, you know. We'll see how that all goes.

Etienne FontanYou're muted. You're muted and muted at the same time.

BubblemanOh, wow. I doubled it up. I was just saying awesome, awesome work. I mean, shit, it's obviously important. It's crazy now to hear like Austria and be like, oh, I could go to Austria. But I'm like, I got all these American trips I need to make. I've been to Europe so many times in the last 25 years. I was wondering how long it will take me to visit like half the states.

Etienne FontanWell, you want to spend quality time, right? You're not, you know, I think your liver and your, you know, your bowels, but probably from eating all the strange and, you know, rich foods, I think may finally take you out of the game. But, you know, a little bit, but, you know, just pace yourself.

Collin PalmerJust pace yourself. You'll get there.

Etienne FontanYou know, that's just one year. You'll get it again. So, you know, you get, you'll get what you want. And what do you want?

BubblemanI want to literally, I want to be in all the labs that I have working in the US and make hash with my hash makers. I want to visit all the stores. I want to, you know, a whole bunch of stuff I want to do.

SpeakerYeah.

Etienne FontanMake the list and start going through the outline of the list. The next thing you know, you're doing it.

BubblemanYou know, yeah, that list started with Vegas. So we I have been doing it so far. So good. What a crazy place to go for my first trip to America in almost 30 years. Like that place is bonkers.

Etienne FontanIt's surreal as it is, much less than you add cannabis to it. You know, remember, I have I had dispensary there, New Leaf on Twain Avenue. So, you know, it's been fascinating because I go going early in activism and we didn't do rallies in Vegas. Vegas is alcohol country, you know, and one of the things I have, you were saying the other day about, you know, how a letter that you're going to frame.

Etienne FontanI have a letter from the sheriff from for my grow there in Nevada. And I have that letter saying, I just want to let you know you're authorized to grow. You know, marijuana, you know, you know, it's just one of those letters you just never dreamed you'd get a letter from a sheriff's office saying you're good to go to grow and sell your weed. You know, it's just one of those surreal things.

Etienne FontanYou're just like, yes, yes, life. You're a fucking awesome. Yeah, but that's why you get to go try these bubble man brands because you took the chance. These people lived up to the expectation and now you get to taste the fruits of your labor that you literally laid years to do. So that's a great deal of pride, man. And that's where I'd start. I'd go visit all my places and taste all my hash, right?

Etienne FontanIt's yours. You created it.

BubblemanYeah. Some guy just said, seems MJ Biz was a bust. No one there this year. I saw thousands of people there. Maybe I know it wasn't the same. Jair was telling, I bumped into Jair from Dutch Horticultural, old Gavita owner. And he was telling me that as well. His perspective was that I used to go here. I think he was in our room telling the story at one point, Caleb, where he said that he did $3 million in business on the first day of MJ BizCon.

BubblemanHe wrote $3 million and then the next day he did four. And so obviously that's not happening anymore, but there was definitely thousands of people At MJ Biz this year. People that I hadn't seen in a long time and people, I'd like walk up, I see Shiloh in the background, you know, I walk up to him and I whisper in his ear, they let me into America.

BubblemanAnd just having my friends turn around and be like, what the fuck? Kind of looking at me, but like not quite understanding. Man, that was probably one of my favorite parts of being at the event. Just walking up to people and being like, yeah, dude, They let me in. I saw Matt Stang from High Times Magazine. I hadn't seen Matt in years in person. I used to see him at Amsterdam all the time.

BubblemanAnd then he had that crazy problem. It was, oh, there's the dog face and the dog face farms shot. That dude in the hat right there, this guy. He's the farmer in Oregon for Dog Face Farms. This dude was like the chillest dude ever. They were just hilarious, man. I will definitely be looking forward to heading back to the US. So many different places, East Coast, South, West, everywhere.

BubblemanI just want to check it all out. So many great people. America is full of amazing people, dude. Like I tell you, it really is. I don't know if you guys realize that or not, but it is really Like very unique. There's no other place in the world like the US.

Etienne FontanAnd it's easy to like, you know, bitch about it, but I'm pretty stoked on it. You want to go photograph some cool wildlife. We should go to Yellowstone. I do. And we will. You know, I've literally that drive from going from Glacier, right, right there in Canada, all the way down through there is fucking epic. The Montana and all through all the striations and all the layers of the sediment and earth is just and it's huge and it's very fun while high.

Etienne FontanI mean, it's just, you know, it's just absolutely just amazing. And then, you know, Yellowstone's random, right? What you see from elk to bear to moose to all that, you know, but you see a lot of that stuff also in Canada.

BubblemanSo, you know, that's... Well, listen, one of the reasons I wanted to go back to the U.S. as well, first and foremost, my friends and the people. That's first and foremost. But a close second, the epic nature, man, like the epic, epic nature. The U.S. is a beautiful country. Absolutely beyond... Like, I want to go to Utah. I want to go to like, you know, check out the Grand Canyon.

BubblemanI want to check out Yellowstone. There's just so much. And I can do it with my family, which is amazing.

Etienne FontanWe'll take them down to the U.S. Great memories there.

BubblemanYeah, exactly. Dude, your photos from South Africa. Holy shit, dude. I got to come with you next time you go there because that was like, that's what I need.

Etienne FontanDab safaris, man. That is the way to safari. Dabbing the whole time. It's without a doubt my favorite way to safari. Yeah, because, yeah. Next thing you know, you're five feet away from an elephant. You're like, what the fuck? You know, yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, nature's nature's lit, man. So go and enjoy. Nature's lit. Listen, it's a great way to make great memories with the family is taking them on a drive like that.

Etienne FontanTake them, take them from Glacier, the other side of Glacier, and then come down to Yellowstone, swing over to Utah and back up and hit all the national parks in between and Epic. Epic. Worth renting something stateside and then just driving around and doing it, dude. It's well worth it.

BubblemanYears ago, when I was living on the ocean at Monty Zambard, I had a waterfront property in the early 2000s. My kids were actually born in that house, both my son and daughter, the older ones. And I remember being at my house and there's a marina next door and I looked out the window at the marina and I thought, Fuck is that? And I swore it was an elephant.

BubblemanNot in a cage, just like walking around. And so I grabbed my daughter. She was like three years old at the time. I said, hey, let's walk down to the marina. I think there's some stuff going on over there. And I walked down to the marina and they've got an elephant and a giraffe and some other small animals. And I'm just like, this elephant has he's just it's just walking around.

BubblemanThis is walking around, eating like the grass next to the marina. And I got a few pictures with my daughter. There's a picture of my daughter, like 10 feet from this elephant. And what they were doing is they were filming a movie and they brought this elephant and giraffe in for this scene that they were filming and it was right at my house. It was the most surreal thing ever.

BubblemanTo see these animals like in West Vancouver at a marina, it was like my brain just wasn't accepting it. Part of me hated it because I thought these animals don't belong here.

Etienne FontanAnd that's an epic marina too, man. I've been to that marina a few times coming through on cruises. And yeah, that's one beautifully well kept, right? They've got the nice topiaries of the, you know, even of the killer whales and stuff, right? You know, it's really fucking beautiful. So to see elephants there, yeah, that's... It made no sense. That's a Salvador Dali moment.

BubblemanIt was a Salvador Dali moment. And the picture I took of my daughter standing in front of it, I remember going back home and my wife was like, she's like, what is that? Do they not have that elephant like in any way protected? Like, what if that elephant loses its mind? She's like, Trinity was just right next to it. I'm like, yeah, it was super mellow. There was like, they didn't have it.

BubblemanLike, what do you do? You put a chain on an elephant? Like, come on. There was no leash for this elephant, let's just say.

Etienne FontanBut she was in mom mode going, you let our child next to a wild beast. Correct. Mr. Mr. Bubble Man.

BubblemanYeah. Mr. Maybe not thinking super hard.

BubblemanAnd I get to go snowboarding today here in a very short period of time. I'm pretty excited about that. Hopefully I'll get the energy and not like, why is it when we get sick that it's so much worse at night?

Collin PalmerI don't know homeostasis because your body's fighting. I don't know.

BubblemanLike honestly, why is that? You see it with your kids. You see it with sickness. Like I was fine all day yesterday. The minute it became like 9, 10, 11 o'clock, I started feeling a little by one in the morning. I was like, oh my God, I'm going to be up all night just dying.

Etienne FontanBut luckily Colin called me up. You're not getting that sleep. You're not getting that rest, right? I was dealing with that. Yeah.

BubblemanYeah, I do. I have, I think I slept like five hours a night in Vegas. It wasn't very conducive to sleeping, which obviously I learned that from the movies. I did go to Piero's, Piero's, P-I-E-R-O. It's kind of an old school Las Vegas place. Cannabrand Solutions. Was having a party there, but it was the restaurant they filmed Casino, the movie Casino they filmed in this restaurant for scenes.

BubblemanAnd it was pretty trippy being in that sort of cultural, you know, this thing that's embedded. I was like, oh my God, this place looks so familiar. And my buddy's like, yeah, dude, they filmed Casino in here. I thought, well, that's kind of cool. We don't have too much stuff like that. So another cool thing to do in the U.S., you could literally just go to all these random places that are like famous scenes in movies.

Collin PalmerYeah, 100 percent. I mean, there's amazing. I mean, in every I think all across the East Coast and Midwest, I mean, specifically Vegas was if you look at the history of Vegas, it's kind of fascinating. It was more in between Getting from the Midwest to to L.A. Right. So it just it grew in a really, really kind of a really interesting way. I mean, it's it's a I'd have to I'm paraphrasing heavily right now, but there's like a whole story behind how it all transformed.

Collin PalmerBut it's you know, it's it's it's kind of amazing. It's like wasn't really supposed to happen kind of thing. Right? It's not supposed to be there, right? Like it's not. No, it's a desert. Yeah. It's a desert. A city is not supposed to be in the middle of a desert, you know?

Etienne FontanIf you like weird and unique things, check out, there's a book called Weird USA, which kind of gives just odd destinations, of course, like the Winchester House in San Jose. But there's also an app called Road Trippers. So if you're going to do road trips, you want to find off the beaten weird, cool shit to just along the way, that app is lots of fun because I've found all kinds of just weird, you know, Dinosaur shit along Route 66 and stuff like that that, you know, you just randomly find, but it's cool to have them in a place where you can, you know, directly go.

Etienne FontanSo, you know, if anybody else has any others, you know. Dinosaur shit, eh? Those are, you know, you see the normal stuff, but it's also nice to see the weird shit. Like there's this weird castle in like Tennessee. There's on the way up to Washington, there's this building that this guy has never stopped building on that just kind of towers out of nowhere. There's just all kinds of weird shit all through America.

Etienne FontanWorld's biggest, you know, twine ball and shit like that, you know.

BubblemanWell, I feel like I definitely started in a good place for weirdness being in Vegas.

Etienne FontanYou definitely kicked off the weird place to go, man.

BubblemanDude, and it was just nonstop acid spritzers around me and fucking gummies with fucking, I ended up doing some mushrooms and some mescaline. And it was quite lovely. Just a very, just mellow, you know, I wasn't tripping by any means, but just like a nice little like, oh, like these are just, how nice is that? That that's just available. That you can get a cactus gummy or a mushroom gummy or a LSD spritzer, right?

BubblemanWith like 1 20th of a hit per squeeze. Which I didn't do because I knew if I did one, I would do 40. Like my buddy Ted.

BubblemanHe's fucking loving it.

SpeakerWell, I don't know, guys.

BubblemanI would have been going for a couple hours.

Collin PalmerYeah, a little more.

Etienne FontanAlmost three. It'd be two for sure. Yep, yep, yep, yep. 12 minutes. Because Caleb drove from yesterday from Vegas. I'm going to go see him in a couple hours.

BubblemanSo that is awesome. You guys are going to go smoke that joint.

Etienne FontanAnd collect our 12 days of Christmas.

Bubbleman12 other ones. Oh shit, the 12 J's of Christmas, dude.

Etienne FontanYep, from 12 different farms all over Northern California, all selected and into pre-rolls, into this nice box. So yeah, it's the advent calendar I've always wanted. I missed out on it last year, so I didn't want to miss it this year because I've always dreamed of something, you know, because they're always cheap and crappy. I was like, man, if somebody, now somebody needs to do one with hash.

Etienne FontanYes, that's me. 25 day calendar with all hashes from different places.

BubblemanThis is my son's advent calendar.

Etienne FontanWe need that, but with a jar of hash, with a nice gram of each one. Now, absolutely happy to pay for it. You know what I'm saying? Look how psychedelic this looks. And it has to be. You're going to put hash in something. It's got to be sick. But I mean, that's to attract kids, right?

Etienne FontanMy son's loving this. That's what? Chocolate and sugar, right? And then key chains.

BubblemanThis is what he got. This is what he got the last time. It's like a squishy diamond. That's what he got out of his advent calendar. Imagine if this was just a THCA diamond.

Collin PalmerOh, yeah.

BubblemanOr a gummy.

Collin PalmerThat'd be sick. It would be sick. Very soft. What do we got today? New tech, you know?

BubblemanIt's all about the new tech, man. Soft tech, you know? Well, dude, I want to thank you guys for coming on today. I think that's about as much as I have in me. I still have to do some other things today, but I'm very glad that we didn't miss out. Shout out to Puffco and the Press Club and Bubble Bags.

Etienne FontanWhat's up? Sorry, my wife, my friend Mike Davis has just arrived. Sorry. Oh, nice.

BubblemanShout out to Mike Davis and your wife. And thank you, Colin, for calling me and making Hash Church happen today because that would have really sucked. I've been trying to get the whole year of Hash Church done without missing one. And I'm so glad that you woke me up, dude, even though I felt like I was the living dead. I'm going to try and do a whole other year in a row.

BubblemanRight? So thanks, everyone, for watching. Yeah, I'm going to go shred, dude. I'm going to go shred. In the next hour, anyway, I'm going to go have a hot tub and kind of just kind of get my body right. And then I'll head out there. And last night we did we did the full skiing. And then afterwards, there's this place called Handlebar Pizza, and it is one of the greatest pizza places in Whistler.

BubblemanIt's really like got that roots sort of like, you know, the thing that Vale and the big companies are trying to kill. It's got that. It's got that like homey sort of like this is like a mountain and it's a newer place. So it's not like it's been in Whistler for 30 years. Mostly the only places that have that feeling have been here for so long. But these guys created just a great local vibe.

BubblemanThey make incredible pizza and they do a spicy honey drizzle that you can get to put all over your pizza. And it is so fucking good. I'm going to have some tonight, in fact, after I ride again. So As always, apologize for coughing. I'm still dying over here. I want to thank Bingo Lombardi for holding it down in the chat and all of the locals that we have in there that have been, you know, locals in the sense that are regulars.

BubblemanShout out to all of them. Really appreciate you guys. We will be back next week. I can promise you that. And in the meantime, may the full melt bless your bowl sooner than later. Peace out, everybody.

BubblemanPeace y'all out.
