How to roll a hash joint
To roll a hash joint, warm a piece of hash in your fingers, crumble it or pull it into a thin snake, and lay it along the flower before you roll. Keep it in the middle so it doesn’t melt out of the end. Rolled thick down the center, that snake becomes a hash hole.
In a bowl or pipe
Smoke hash in a bowl or pipe by packing flower first and putting a few crumbs of hash on top, or by setting a screen in the bowl and smoking the hash on its own. Hot knife hash is hash smoked the old way: two butter knives heated on a stove, a small piece of hash pressed between them, and the smoke drawn up through the neck of a cut bottle. They run far too hot. Bubbleman reckons the knives of the 1980s hit around 1200 degrees, burning off the flavor a low temperature dab keeps, and a vaporizer does the same job without the stove or the burns.
In a vaporizer or e-rig
A vaporizer or e-rig made for concentrates heats hash to a set temperature instead of burning it, so you taste the terpenes rather than smoke. Bubbleman smokes melty hash in his Puffco and wipes the bowl out with a cotton swab afterward.
As a dab
